The portion size was just right, plenty of noodles and a generous amount of meat without feeling overwhelming. It was filling and satisfying overall. As for the flavor, the broth leaned a bit too salty for my taste. The depth was there, but the saltiness slightly overpowered the balance I usually look for in pho. Definitely the best of the Pho Bac locations in Seattle! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store is big and open with bright light shining through the windows.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's a decent amount of parking, compared to the International District location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have clean gender neutral bathrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are super efficient with placing and fulfilling orders - our pho came out within 5 minutes of ordering! The pho ga (chicken pho) was soooo delicious! FYI it's made with beef broth. Compared to typical boiled chicken at other pho places, this chicken is grilled so it added extra flavor to the broth. It's also super tender and juicy compared to the typical dry boiled chicken at other places. This is one of the best bowls of pho I've had, tied with the veggie pho I had at the International District location. I definitely want to come back and try the veggie pho at this location!
If a Vietnamese restaurant constantly has people coming in and out to eat their stuff, you know the food's gonna be fresh and good for the stomach! This is one of those places, and I'm happy that it's not too much of a drive either. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I came here with my sis on a Tuesday noon around 11:30pm for some lunch, and got seated quickly to a spacious seating area with tons of tables for mostly groups of up to 4 people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vietnamese music was blasting from the speakers but not at an unbearably loud volume, and I Shazamed a couple of them because they sounded really good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]That being said, it gets noisy in here the more people there are since sound vibrates around the inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their menu has many choices for pho, though prices are different only depending on whether you get a regular or large bowl. They also have appetizers, vermicelli noodle bowls (bun), extra add-ons and drinks. I got their large pho tai nam gan sach (pho with rare steak, brisket, tendon and tripe), while my sis got their regular pho tai bo vien (pho with rare steak and meatballs). Pho's usually standard, though I liked this one a lot since their broth is fresh and homely, the noodles were cooked all the way through, and the food came out really fast. We also split an order of cha gio (fried eggrolls), which comes with only 2 of them though both are long pieces. These were piping hot and crispy on the outside. This place has become one of my favorite spots to get pho. This place has parking on the side of the building but it's pretty limited, and street parking a little farther ahead may be difficult to get through. I'd still brave it since the food here's plain and simple while also keeping you full.
I actually decided last minute that I was going to hop off the link light rail train to have lunch with my daughter at Mt Baker station. Pho Bac is actually the closest restaurant because I didn't want to wander too far away from the train station. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Anyway, the restaurant itself is cool. It's spacious seating with clean interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You must be OK with Vietnamese music blasting in the background because you're eating at a Vietnamese restaurant... after all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waiter was prompt with my simple order of raw beef Pho and spring rolls. Additionally, I ordered one thing of fried egg rolls for my daughter because she loves fried egg rolls. Everything was good and fresh. 10/10 recommend.
First- this is one of our go-to pho spots in the neighborhood, it's usually open when our other spots are not and it's one of the best. I've been seeing some negative reviews about service and I disagree - they are busy, they are focused, and the food comes out really fast. Prices haven't gone up too much despite the rising costs of protein and they list slightly lower prices if you pay with cash. There's street parking and some spots right next to the building. Ordering is quick and easy and they have a bunch of meat combos for pho for choose from. Loved their broth and amount of meat was pretty good too Large #10 with brisket, fatty brisket, and tendon: good amount of meat, tasty broth, tender tendon. Overall a solid bowl of pho and I'd come here again! I just wish they had a choice of slightly wider rice noodles, I think that would be AMAZING with their meat and broth.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]However it's always busy when I go and the broth is really good![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They always have parking and two unique soups to this location. One is a stir fried chicken and the other is a spicy beef belly. My go to pho spot in Seattle.
They passed the broth test, but I feel like they don't put enough meat. I do like that they have the onions w/vinegar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are busy so they have a good customer base.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If they just condensed their menu and added more meats to the bowls they would get a 5 star out of me.
Was a recommend stop by a local friend while in town and so glad we did!! The food we extremely delicious. The service was quick and the menu isn't too overwhelming. I tried the dry noodle with beef broth and beef and it had great flavor! We also had a side of the egg rolls which came out great. Very happy with it. My husband did get the beef rib which was slightly inconvenience to eat since the meat doesn't fall off the bone.
One of my favorite places to get pho. They sell Viet coffee from hello em. They also have huge spring rolls here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very large seating area, and fast service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend.
Delicious pho on a cold day, and the portion sizes are big! The price difference between the small and large is less than $1, so I ordered the large, and it was huge! The broth is very flavorful and I'm glad I ordered the large size, as there were so many noodles and it was filling. Wow! Probably the best pho I've had so far. The beef ribs were seasoned and marinated and mixed with the pho broth is so delicious. The noodles and broth are perfect and the portions are big. I'm not sure if it's that the quality of the pho at the downtown location is inherently worse but this Pho Bac location was miles better. I did get another dish here though, the pho sa te, which I believe is not on the menu at the downtown location. Regardless, I highly recommend getting this pho, it was super flavorful with a heavy peanut flavor and plenty of spice (if you can't handle spice, ask for less spice or don't get it bc it's quite spicy). It also comes with a lot of meat and noodles that both go quite nicely with the broth. Service leaves a bit to be desired, I kind of just sat down anywhere and then had to call over a waiter to get my order. Earlier this week I stopped by Pho Bac for the first time with my dad and we were both impressed. The place keeps it simple with just pho on the menu and honestly, that's all they need. The broth was rich and flavorful, loaded with tons of chicken, herbs, and noodles that hit the spot perfectly. The portions are massive (we both killed ours!) and it hits the stop on a chilly day! As always, the pho came with fresh herbs and veggies on the side which was fresh, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere was casual and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's also super close to my apartment, which makes it dangerously convenient. Not the best neighborhood but the food is legit. Service was awesome and pleasant. Ice coffee is pre made and is a bit too sweet (too much condensed milk). Goi cuon was delicious and one of the best I've had. Pho was good but not out of this world. On par with the pho I get in nyc. Beef rib gimmick was flavorful but doesn't add too much to the dish. Overall, not as good as the hype but very solid! read more

Got pho sate take out with Chinese donuts. Everything is spot on. Chinese donut is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Pho sate is perfect blend of spicy and deep flavor. Lots of meats too! Service is extremely fast! read more

My friends and I came for Sunday lunch, and they were quite busy. Luckily, we got seated right away and found parking since his place does have a parking lot, which is convenient. Right when you walk in, this place definitely feels like a family restaurant. Everyone is working hard to keep the place going. To start, we ordered the doughnut, which was nice and airy without feeling heavy or too full for our meal. The fries and the sauce were a bit disappointing. However, we all really enjoyed the beef rib pho! They provide a knife to help cut the meat, but it comes off the bone quite well. If you're ever thinking, "I want pho," this will satisfy your craving. When you're done eating, you'll need to go to the front cashier to pay. Ask them for to-go containers if you have leftovers. A great option for a cold, rainy day, which is typical Seattle weather! read more
We came on a Saturday for lunch. Pho: we ordered #4 and #13. The noodles were overcooked and mushy. The broth was meh. It didn't have the deep, beefy taste but more mild. Service: There was no one acknowledging us as customers when we walked in so we proceeded to the counter. We waited about 10 minutes after asking a server for a table. They didn't fully clean the table so we had to wipe the table on our own. We waited about 10 minutes for our food, which seemed a bit slow for a pho place. Ambiance: more like cafeteria style. The restaurant is rectangular with a bunch of tables. You ain't coming to eat pho in style so I get it. No need for fancy tables/chairs and decorations. BUT the restaurant was too bare... No, I would not come back. I'm just shocked at how bad the pho was despite the hype. read more

Pho Bac most definitely satisfied my craving! There's something about cold weather that can make most individuals crave a soul warming soup. Pho Bac was the perfect place for me on this day. This family owned and ran business makes you feel you're in your grandma's kitchen table. When the service is good, they welcome and make you feel at home, the food tastes even better! I highly recommend coming and having a bowl of Pho any time, specially on those cool/cold days. read more
My fav spot to eat pho. I always order the pho dac biet w/ extra noodle, and deep fried egg roll and share with my partner. Broth and noodles are always on point. Tendon, flank steak, eye round, meatball, and tripe are all so good. Deep fried egg rolls come with 2 and they are long, crispy, and stuffed with ground pork, glass noodle, woodear mushroom and served with sweet fish sauce. Super flavorful and addicting! read more

After visiting the S Jackson location of Pho Bac, we returned again a couple days later for a second helping of the amazing pho. This location wasn't as busy, so we were able to get a table quickly and place our order. We ended up getting the beef rib pho this time which is apparently another specialty dish of the restaurant. The food came out quickly and with massive portions. The pho came with two succulent beef ribs towering over the bowl. It was very thoughtful that a knife and plate was provided with the order, as I wouldn't have known where to even begin eating the ribs. All in all, the flavors of the pho were spot on and coupled with the large serving of beef ribs, I was having the time of my life. Food consistency was the same across the different locations although, we did notice that the hoisin sauce here tasted like the traditional Lee Kum Kee sauce, while the S Jackson location had maybe a house blend of hoisin? In terms of restaurant setting, I'd say this location is more of the no frills layout, focusing on the food, while the S Jackson location might be a little trendier for a date, especially with the attached bar. Pros: Large portions, fast service, reasonable prices. Pho with Beef Ribs is my new favorite dish. Cons: Limited parking space. read more
This was the best pho I have ever had. SO flavorful. SO delicious. I ate way too much and I want to eat 100 more bowls. Casual atmosphere that seemed like a little respite from a busy day exploring the city. Would definitely eat here again if given the chance. read more
