wings

got to this spot on one of their Wing Wednesdays, which was a discounted day with 99 cent wings The only options available on this day were Lemon Pepper Wet, Buffalo Medium, and their flavor of the day, which in this case was Thai Green Curry Note that a drink purchase is required to take advantage of this price It was pretty packed when we got there - so it took around 30 minutes to get a small table I was able to try each flavor of wing the one i liked the best was the lemon pepper. despite the flavor name being wet, this was the only flavor that had an actually crispy skin on the outside. i could definitely taste the lemon & pepper as well, making for a nice experience The buffalo wings were fine - but the issue was they were completely drenched in sauce, to the point where it was leaking over to the other flavor of wings. this much sauce was just unnecessary. the only thing these wings tasted like was your traditional buffalo sauce, and it overpowered the chicken completely. not a fan of these the thai green curry was alright - definitely tasted like green curry, but a bit too much sauce as well for my overall impressions - these wings were pretty small. i get that for 99 cent wings, they can't be too large, but I can't say these were very meaty at all. on the positive side, the quality of the chicken was quite good, and the blue cheese was nice as well I would say 12 wings is pretty filling, and getting them for $12 is a decent deal. the problem is the drink purchase inflates the price a bit

Vindictive Wings won best wing in Seattle in 2024. Of course I had to try this spot and see if it lived up to the hype. We went with a group of friends and it was a split decision. First off the service was good and we found a table pretty quickly. It has a dive bar feel with arcade games up stairs. Standard bar. But we came for the wings. We ordered the buffalo, lemon pepper, Mississippi dry rub, and the spicy miso parm plus some buffalo cauliflower. The buffalo sauce was my favorite and second was the spicy miso parm. I like my wings saucy. Half the table loved the dry rub Mississippi wings. This place also doesn't serve ranch, it's a blue cheese place. I like blue cheese but some of my friends didn't. That was a hard one to swallow. The wings were flavorful, cooked decent, not too small and not too big but overall they were just "okay". They are good wings but I was expecting more of a "best wing in 2024" in Seattle. Overall we agreed that these wings decent. A solid wing, but I don't feel lived up to the hype.

Great wings, spacious interior. We came on trivia night by accident but ended up enjoying the guy running the trivia and stayed. The only thing stopping me from 5 stars is their soda definitely comes from a bar gun, and I wish they would say that when you order. Other NA drink options are too frilly, I'd love just a regular diet soda or unsweetened tea.

Got to try the wings from vindictive wings for the first time. There is no designated parking - only street parking, Ambiance is a dive bar type of feel with loud music and tvs everywhere. Service was fast and convenient. Did not have to wait long for food to come out. I ordered the naked Mississippi dry, the Lemon pepper wet, and the Buffalo sauce. Out of the 3 flavors, the lemon pepper wet was by far my fav, then the Buffalo and lastly the naked seasoning. The wet wings are very favorable and saucy. Didn't like the Mississippi dry as the wings were extra crispy and dry. The table also got a wedge salad. I also ordered a side of shoestring fries.

I walked in and this place was really nice and chill. I hear on weekends that it is like the place to be. The music keep your head bobbing. The honey BBQ off the chain it's got a little heat to it but I'm from Texas and I can handle it. Buffalo wings are so good spicy got my hair sweating. Lemon pepper wet, not like any other lemon pepper ever tasted. The cray was different not bad but different. The other dipping sauce the blue cheese and ranch with mixed different sauce it's crazy good. I will be back

Coming back to update my review as Vindictive has become my go-to place for wings. I don't know what kind of sweet love they're making to their wings, but my gosh they're so good now! From the rotating wing of the week, to the quick and attentive service, to sumo - it's a vibe. I'm glad I gave this place another chance, and I'm even happier my taste buds came around like liking blue cheese.

Hands down the BEST wings in Seattle!!! No question about it! I come here at least 3-4 days a week because everything about this place is on point. The staff is phenomenal; from the owners to the bartenders to the servers. EVERYONE treats you like family every single time you walk in. The vibe is exactly what you want in a bar: fun, chill, and full of great energy, especially on game days (especially if you're a Buffalo Bills fan - If you know, you know). Being from Atlanta, good wings mean something to me and I can honestly say I've never had better hot wings than at Vindicktive. Perfect flavor, perfectly cooked, and consistently fire EVERY SINGLE TIME. If you're looking for a go to spot for wings, drinks, and a great atmosphere ....this is it. 5 stars all the way!

Its a bar with hot wings... what more can you say? We came here on a wednesday so the value was actually pretty great at 99c per wing. Flavours were solid, we tried all three they had at the time, buffalo, lemon pepper and Sriracha honey. Star of the show was the Sriracha and lemon pepper. The ambiance is lively with a barcade upstairs. Now, the biggest pro of all however was the staff! Everyone was super friendly and helpful.

In spite of multiple recommendations to this place online, I really can't say I'd return for wings. I ordered the hot honey bbq and hot buffalo. The flavor of the wings were really good, however, the wings were so tough. If you like that, this is your spot. The wings weren't all that meaty so the crunchiness/toughness of the meat was overwhelming. They do not have ranch, however, the blue cheese seems to be homemade and wasn't bad. I ordered at the bar and no one came to check on me so I can't say much about the service. It has a typical sports bar feel with multiple TVs and a barcade upstairs. I did throughly enjoy the hip hop/r&b playlist.

Came here for the Wednesday $.99 wings deal. We did have to wait for like 40 minutes to get a table which is pretty long time just for some wings. When we got seated the service also took a long time. You do have to order a drink for the wings deal and I got a soda and that shit was the flattest soda I have ever had in my life. I don't know how they're diluting it or making it. We got the cauliflower bites which I think is a pass but my friends enjoyed it and of course we got a total of 32 wings in their special flavor of the week, honey Sriracha and lemon pepper. We thought the wings were really good but not worth the 40 minute wait. I didn't think it would be a fun place to come with friends if you have a lot of time though .

Half hot honey BBQ, half Louisiana dry rub with fries

Friendliness of the staff and overall vibe of the restaurant was spot on. The wings were good but a little dry and small. I preferred the hot honey bbq as they were sauced up and had a nice mild heat. The fries were McDonalds-esque which I liked. I was apprehensive of them not having ranch but I will say they have the best blue cheese I've ever had.

Loved this place! Went for dinner around 9 on a friday- very loud and lively but they had some seating space upstairs. Ended up being perfect because we were so close to the TV and could watch baseball. The food was unreal! Great prices and great quality. I got the cauliflower wings (the best i've ever had) in the salt and vinegar sauce. My partner says the meat is also great though- he loved the hot honey BBQ and lemon pepper wet. Also, the plain fries were perfectly cooked. Lastly, we had a great bartender that made a delicious NA cocktail for me! It's not on the menu but they have a few, so just ask. Also.... make sure you check out the bathrooms!

Stopped into vindictive while in belltown during last visit. Had heard hype but never gone so decided to change that. Used to love going to this location when it was belltown pub and I'm glad the neighborhood has another solid restaurant option. I like what they did with the upstairs adding in some arcade games. We went late night after the mariners game on a Friday and it was packed. We were lucky to get a table. With how busy it was our server was awesome and on top of everything. I went with 12 buffalo wings and my wife got the burger. The wings came out extremely crispy and saucy the perfect combination. The sauce had some heat which I loved! They were some of the best wings I've had. Also a heads up they do not have ranch so don't bother asking. The wings are so good on their own though that you don't even miss it. Definitely live up to all the hype. The burger was also very good along with the side of fries.

Are the wings gluten free?

The wings are free of any intelligent preparation or serving.

Are there options on the menu that are keto (zero sugar / carbs) friendly?

This bar is inherently unfriendly and we all wish it would go back to New York.

It is a small spot (sorta) so you kind of get in where you fit in. We ended up at the bar and honestly it worked out perfectly. Our bartender was friendly, engaging and just made us feel right at home. Another staff member came through at some point and was equally as kind. The service all around was great. Now let me talk about the food because that cabbage had no business being that good. I know that sounds random but it was my favorite thing and I did not see that coming. The mac and cheese was delicious, the fried chicken was really good, and my husband was all about the rice and black eyed peas (surprisingly). I also ordered a non alcoholic drink and even though I cannot remember the name it was really good too. The only minor thing was that one of the items, I think it was the hush puppies or cornbread, came out a little lukewarm. They mentioned it can be hard to keep that particular item hot, and flavor wise it was YUM so it was not a dealbreaker. Everything else comes out fresh as it's cooked so just know timing can vary by dish. It did get crowded toward the end and they politely let us know people were waiting outside. They handled it with so much grace it did not feel uncomfortable at all. I will definitely be back. Already curious about what will be on the menu next time.

We didn't have a reservation, but after about a 10-minute wait, we were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. The seating seems intentionally designed to bring people together, and you could see it in the mix of large groups, couples, and even solo diners. Like the name, it had a "communal" energy that made the space feel alive and intimate. The hostess, bartenders, and our waitress were all phenomenal. They were attentive and easy to talk to. Also, the playlist was good. It really added to the overall experience. We started with the sweet potato hoe cakes, and they were absolutely amazing. I loved the texture. They were soft, pillowy, and balanced. They weren't too sweet, even with the honey butter. I wish I'd ordered more to go because I haven't stopped thinking about them. I'll have to try recreating them at home. For my entree, I ordered the stuffed trout, and this is where things really took off. It's a whole fried trout stuffed with a seafood dressing (shrimp, catfish and oysters), and it immediately caught my eye on the menu. I'm not used to eating whole fish, and I don't think I'd even had trout before, but this dish was mouthwateringly good. The fish was crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The béarnaise sauce really set it off. There were so many layers of flavor and texture, and everything just worked together perfectly. On top of that, the presentation was stunning. I posted it on my Instagram story and immediately had people asking where my food was as from. This meal was very memorable. I have zero notes. The ambiance, food, music, and service were all top-tier. Side note: There is a 5% "communal" surcharge added to every bill. The money is used to support staff benefits, the support staff, and the line cooks. This is separate from the gratuity. This surcharge is clearly explained on the menu, and I really love and appreciate the transparency and that they care about the employees. But yeah. Super good. We love a good meal and we damn near left there skipping.

While this is their Capitol Hill location, it's a little further out from the main area of CapHill. Washrooms (restroom for search keywords). Friendly service, but nothing over the top as they simply took orders and brought it fresh. They brought pickled radish out with the chicken which is standard, but the radish was very fresh, meaning they were harder, sharper in flavor, and not as flavorful as a result of not being pickled long enough. Starter Set - we opted for mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and fries. Would love to see sweet potato fries here (another spot in CapHill proper does offer them) but love this combo for variety. Crinkle cut fries were tasty, nothing special. Mozzarella sticks were nice but lacked a cheese pull. Onion rings were the star of the trio, crispy, sweet, and totally delicious. Soy Garlic Chicken - half orders are about 10 pieces and full orders come with around 20, sometimes more. Chicken was juicy, tender, and sauce was just right. Great flavor! Similar to the Shoreline location, while the wings are a decent size, I feel that many Korean fried chicken spots have larger wings. Still tasty, but feels less competitive in the heart of Seattle.

The skin was way fattier than I would've liked and it could've been fried longer to help melt some of the fat out and make it crunchier. It was super hot, fresh, and juicy though. Radish was free. We had been planning for a week to go to that bar specifically, but we were immediately treated like shit by the bartender going off on a power trip, and it made us feel so uncomfortable we had to leave. We had no idea it was the kind of bar where tables were spoken for. We walked in and all we saw was a line to the bar. There is a possibility that I missed a sign, but I'm pretty observant about that stuff. We saw an empty table and naturally walked over to it, and he pounced on us to get our IDs like we were sneaking in. He kept telling us we were 8th in line. I understand they can't give us a set time, but the over-explaining and scolding was so unnecessary. We accepted that the table wasn't ours but he kept going on and on and on. I understand working in a bar gets stressful, and I know there are entitled people that probably pissed him off, but he was projecting something crazy at us that I don't think we deserved. He did apologize for being a dick I think he wanted me to fawn over him and tell him he wasn't but I confirmed that he was and he apologized which I actually respect. Maybe if you put up some signage or something, that could help unless the whole schtick is that your staff is immediately hostile. In that case good job. Hope I can snag a table another one of these days. Best.
