What a hidden treasure! This craft drinks and food restaurant is a place NOT TO MISS in the Seattle area. We went to the restaurant shortly after flying into the city, prior to a cruise. The owner talked me into one of his specialty drinks and boy was I amazed. The food for the entire family was outstanding and I had to finish off the night with a different specialty drink.

We had reservations so getting seated was a smooth process. Indoor, outdoor, and bar seating available. Staff were all very kind, welcoming, and friendly. We got everything from savory to sweet! My favorite were the longaniza nachos and the chicken and ube waffle!

From the ease of the reservation and the close walking proximity to my house, this was an absolute must try. We arrived early for our reservation and we were promptly greeted and offered an option of indoor or out? We chose to sit on the patio, it's a quaint little patio. The server was prompt very efficient and friendly offering a glimpse into the kitchen with bacon!! Yum we had to try the tots with bacon. You cannot leave here without eating the entire bowl. Then we shared the house, bacon burger pardon the forgetfulness on the name of it, the bacon took over. Bottom line: what are you waiting for?

Came here around 10:45 on a Sunday. I recommend they have a better system for waiting. I came first and about 10 people came in shortly after with no solid line. The waiter asked me to come up first and after we put our names in. The people behind us called us entitled and rude but I was just doing what we were told. Left a sour taste on our experience. We got the ube French toast and the silly belly. Service was nice resturant was dark. Food was plenty and very flavorful. Very unique taste, I highly recommend and would come back.

Barrel and bacon does a nice take on Truffles N Bacon in Vegas. Their take on the Ube French Toast combines sweet and savory with a cream cheese filling, this personally wasn't my favorite menu item. My favorite menu item was their loaded tots and Buffalo Mac n cheese. The server who assisted us was so kind and helpful and the space itself felt like a good middle ground between casual and romantic. It would make for a great first date spot!

Ube french toast- 2/5 I was expecting the ube to be very loud but the ube cream cheese was very heavy on the cream cheese and I could not taste the ube. I was a tad disappointed because it was very hyped up in all these reviews. Breakfast burger with sinful tots- 3/5 it was just an okay burger, nothing to write home about. Great service though!

It is always a great experience at barrel and bacon, this was my first time trying their brunch and it did not disappoint!! Going in I knew I was going to order to infamous ube French toast which was amazing and not too sweet, perfect with the Ube cream cheese and coconut flakes! My wife ordered the chicken and Ube waffles and it was seasoned perfectly and went great with the sweet Ube waffles. Drinks were also amazing and my wife said the espresso martini was the best she's ever had. They only do brunch on Sundays so I expected it to be busy and made a reservation which I'm glad I did! Despite it being busy we had great service, it was only one server and one host but they were both handling the floor so well!

This place is tucked away in a little industrial area that had my husband not found it on yelp, we for sure would have just driven by it. We came on a beautiful day, so we sat outside in the back which is right up next to train tracks on the other side of the fence. There were some occasional trains, but it wasn't for too long that it ruined any of our conversation. The service was fantastic and they gave us great recommendations. The margarita was refreshing, but also had some smokiness. We also tried the Breaskfast Club drink that tasted like fruity pebbles and that was delicious! The food was the true star of the show. The ube waffle was so soft, the fried chicken was so crispy and the honey sriracha syrup tied it all together. I'm not a big fan of slaw, but the apple slaw on top was fresh and sweet. My husband ordered the Rawlin's chicken sandwich and the flavors of it all paired so nicely together, but he upgraded his side to the sinful tots and they did not disappoint! My favorite of the night had to be the sinigang wings. They were hot, cooked perfectly and I could have licked the bowl clean because the sauce was delicious! This Filipina definitely left happy and will be returning!

Overall it was alright. It has a nice big parking lot. The vibe is cool and dark and you can see trains pass in the windows. The service was really friendly and chatty and nice. Overall I found the food just alright though. We were disappointed by the ratio of corn to chips in the elote. The wings were not very flavorful we felt and I couldn't even really tell they were tamarind flavored. The tater tots were alright, better than I expected. The mac and cheese was very gooey but I didn't know if the katsu added much to it bc it just got kinda soft in the sauce. I liked the taquitos. Overall alright food but not sure I loved the vibe and the location is a bit out of the way and not near other things.

Barrel & Bacon is basically elevated pub grub. The restaurant is dimly lit, casual, and comfortable. A plus is that they have a parking lot and our server, Carlos, was welcoming and friendly. The food came out efficiently and at a reasonable speed. First, we ordered our drinks. I highly recommend their Blueberry Spritzer Mocktail which tastes refreshing, citrusy, and not too sweet. We skipped appetizers and went straight to ordering our dinner entrees next. I enjoyed my Ube Waffle & Chicken (made with crispy ube flavored waffle, katsu fried chicken, apple slaw & sriracha-honey syrup). The chicken was boneless and evenly crisped and seasoned. It paired well with the ube waffles and a light drizzle of their tasty sriracha-honey syrup. The other standout dish is their Crab Mac (made of baked mac n' cheese, crab, asparagus, roasted peppers, serrano peppers, and crispy fried prosciutto). So creamy, savory, and went down smoothly! Their Ranch Chicken BLT Salad was perfectly dressed (composed of mixed greens with cubed katsu-style buttermilk fried chicken, bacon, tomato, onions, white cheddar, croutons, and tortilla strips tossed in ranch dressing. It was filling, tasty, and a great choice for a salad to order as a meal. Their Steak Sandwich (made with medium-rare New York steak, roasted garlic & thyme aioli, arugula, tomato and blue cheese on ciabatta bread) with a side of fries. It was simple yet flavorful! We didn't have any room left for dessert. Next time, Im going straight to dessert to try their famous NB'S ICONIC UBE FRENCH TOAST that was featured on the Netflix show "Fresh, Fried & Crispy". It is made of Ube French toast bread, ube cream cheese filling, coconut strings, ube jam & condensed milk drizzle. Yes, it totally sounds devilishly decadent and yummy!!! I'll definitely be back ;-)

I've tried to eat here before for Sunday brunch without reservations and was turned away :c but finally came back with a reservation! The place itself is kinda interbay/Queen Anne. There's a parking lot which is super convenient. The restaurant itself is dark and industrial-y. There's TVs above the bar which gives it a sports bar vibe too. We ordered the ube French toast and the salmon avocado toast with egg. The French toast was pretty good. The ube flavor is light, it's definitely overpowered by the cream cheese. But I still enjoyed it. It somehow didn't feel too sweet. The salmon avocado toast was standard. I liked the sauce on top. Gave it a nice tartness. Service was kind and attentive as well. Overall, pretty good place. Wasn't a standout, but would like to try their dinner menu sometime!

Ube French toast. Don't get it.
    Hannah P.

Came here for the Ube French toast, left very disappointed as a Filipina. Mostly just purple colored cream cheese between layers of meh French toast. The nachos were decent, and the pork belly was delish. Maybe their other dishes are tastier than the French toast. Service was friendly and prompt.

I am a rebel with a food cause and opted to dine at The Loupe Lounge on my layover. Well, that was the master plan but coming from Maui, there were delays and my little mission was diverted. Abort? She must have gone back to NYC Fashion Week because here comes the manager looking like a whole GQ model, super trendy manager in the house! Well, he accommodated us, very cool of him. You're an Angel cause we were starving! The food was packaged to go, it was so delicious I'm super bummed that we didn't get to experience this in person. It was pretty in a box can't imagine what it would have been like in person! Beggars can't be choosers! The meal was fantastic! Caviar was packaged with ice! How accommodating and it passed TSA. Drinks were amazing and Andrea was the BEST waitress! Lucky we had her! Overall, if I'm back in Seattle this is back on my to-do list! Very cool experience and worth every penny! I would love to have a nice bar to patronize, but the bar food menu doesn't match bar food vibe. I am curious what dinner would be like here. Whoever owns this bar and whoever is curating this menu is absolutely a music head. No debate. And here's your gentle PSA: please pass that love of music AND hip-hop history to your waitstaff. Because what happened to me... was personal. There are three drinks on the menu that basically scream, "someone in here grew up on hip-hop and never emotionally left the 90s." We've got: ATLiens Aquemini 2 ____ a Butterfly (fill in the blank, but if you know, you KNOW Kendrick Lamar, 2015) Now listen this is not "aqua-mini." This is Outkast. Andre 3000. Big Boi. Southern rap royalty. It is pronounced Ah-kwim-in-eye The waitress looks me dead in my soul and says, "Oh, you mean the Aqua-mini." I was transported out of my body. Now here's the issue: I would've let it go...if a Kendrick Lamar song wasn't also on the menu. Because why are we confidently mispronouncing Outkast while casually referencing Pulitzer-level rap on the same drink list? At that point I realized I was surrounded by people under 34 who had never had to wait for TRL, decode a CD booklet, or defend Southern rap. No one in my group shared my emotional breakdown. Not one gasp. Prices & Drinks (important part): Let's talk about the $18 drink situation. I paid $18 for an Aquemini and received...vibes. Not buzz. At $18, I expect at least a whisper of alcohol. Instead, I got decorative hydration. My husband's Blueberry Smash? Better. More flavor. More personality. So now I'm sitting there thinking: I paid premium pricing for a drink I had to defend and pronounce correctly myself... and still left sober. Food: I was a little hungry and ordered fried shrimp (not on the online menu) The shrimp was fine. Just fine. The dipping sauce tried its best, and I respect that effort. Why is everything either wagyu, mussels, duck, or something you need a culinary degree to pronounce like gruyere but I can't just get a basic bar plate? Wagyu sliders, chicken bites would have been nice because I don't usually go out thinking, "Tonight feels like Wagyu and mussels at the bar." Service: I'm from Los Angeles, so I'm familiar with urban sketchy with a side of vibes. The activities near the parking spaces was very sketch. I was with a group of 8, including my husband so I felt protected by numbers. Inside, it was a Friday night but surprisingly empty. The music was loud enough to feel like a party, but quiet enough that you could still hear each other. We tried to rearrange seating to accommodate our group and the waitress said "I'm not walking around you, so keep this aisle clear." Which was fair, but also, there are gentler ways to say "I need this walkway." Or tell us the better way to set up seating in the empty bar. I didn't have a second drink frankly because I was never asked. Most places I go the waitress will come and ask if I want another drink.
