Wow, this review is 8 years old! I want to share my experience with Some Random Bar. In 2017, my mom and I visited Seattle for me to look at apartments and interview for jobs. We came here to eat because it was near our hotel. I was OBSESSED with the crab nachos. 2 months later, I moved out here all on my own. Now, 8 years later, I live nearby. Whenever someone is visiting, we come here. Whenever I run into a stranger visiting, i say they have to come here. My friends know if i'm celebrating anything, "are you getting crab nachos?!" It's become a part of my personality at this point. I have so much respect for the owners, the way they run their business and their honesty online. No one I've brought here has had a bad thing to say regardless of what they ordered. My go to is: Pull apart bread, crab nachos (with their hot sauce!! which, btw can i buy that by the bottle.. cause YUM) + whatever drink is calling my name (they rotate, but if you can get the pina colada you won't regret it). tldr; you'll regret NOT coming here. read more

Went here recently for a random happy hour after work, had not been to this place in a couple of years. I remembered that their drinks and bourbon selection/pricing used to be incredible. As with all things lately, prices have gone up on some of their rarer pours. The standard basic cocktails though were still reasonable and decently priced for the location. The atmosphere is great and service was pretty quick. The outdoor patio is still there which was a nice addition from 2019/2020 era. Some of their bourbons are still reasonably priced. Their food is pretty good. Would recommend the tacos, the burger, and carne asada. The nachos were not particularly for me, and also seemed to come out cold. Seemed to have cheese sauce instead of actual cheese. It was a cold day however. This place is mainly great for happy hour after work, but will come back and try dinner another time. Staff is great though. Really quaint and awesome spot to post up. good food, good service, good drinks, good selection, and still better pricing than most bars with what they have to offer. Excellent cocktails! We sat outside with our dogs who were served a bowl of water and treats and lots of lovies from staff and regulars, while we enjoyed our drinks. Open 4pm-11pm daily. Great inside seating too. Food looked great. We will definitely be back. read more

Some Random Bar is a very popular bar and restaurant in Belltown. I read they have good food, so we gave them a try. We arrived at 4:45pm on a Saturday, figuring we can avoid crowds. I underestimated the attractiveness of Happy Hour where many drinks are $1 to $3 off. The place was full and became even fuller (and louder) by the end of our meal. This bar is hopping with many regulars, alcohol-filled, with multiple screens televising sports. When we went in October, the food menu says the food is discounted 25% off during certain late hours. The current online menu doesn't say that anymore. Not sure if that deal is still available. Our server was easygoing. Note they charge 3% for credit card use. The Food: SRB Burger, $22 - 3 Stars Menu: Painted Hills beef, burrata mozzarella, basil aioli, arugula, pickled onions, hand cut fries Per the menu description, this burger sounded great. Unfortunately for hubby, this burger has the exact pet peeve that he dislikes the most - where the patty is small and tall (he calls it ball shape) compared to the bun. The patty diameter is significantly smaller than the bun. He literally hates that. I had to tilt the camera much lower to see the patty inside. On the plus side, the fries are great. Grilled Shrimp Club, $24 - 3.5 Stars Menu: bacon, lettuce, tomato, house made guacamole, roasted chipotle aioli, hand cut fries This club sandwich is very good except for the one thing that the menu didn't specify - the bun. They use ciabatta bread, which I find doughy, thick, and overwhelms a sandwich. That is my pet peeve for a sandwich. Neither of us is betting well on this night. They are probably more of a 3.5 Stars overall. We find their prices to be high, especially since they additionally charge a credit card fee. When we went, the cost was $21, $23 respectively. The prices are now $22 and $24 per online menu. I would not return for food only. I would return for a bar vibe. read more

Went here because it was close to our AIrBnB and reviews were good. It did not disappoint! Met with smiles from a couple of staff when we hit the door and all through our visit. Sat and got drinks very quickly. Amanda was fantastic! Friendly, interactive and professional! Food was so tasty! Would recommend the garlic pull a part and 90's nachos! Always try to make a stop here whenever we're in Seattle. Great little bar/restaurant. Creative and tasty cocktails. Friendly service and a chill atmosphere. The highlight that keeps bringing us back is the Warm Garlic Pull Apart. One of my all time favorite dishes from anywhere. A must have if you come in. They have several other dishes that sound and look really good, but I haven't had a chance to have them. Hopefully one day I'll keep my appetite for more food here. Highly recommend. read more

My husband and I stopped in after a long day visiting in seattle. What a jewel this place is! We started with cocktails and the warm pull apart bread and butter lettuce salad. The bread tasted homemade ...yeasty, flaky, warm....irresistible! The salad was excellent. The lettuce leaves were all fresh and paired perfectly with the cucumber, feta, bacon and house made dressing. Then we split the smoked pork tenderloin over polenta....the best pork tenderloin I've ever had. Perfect blend of flavors. Also seemed fully house made (which seems so rare anymore ). What a brilliant place. They let you bring in well-behaved dogs. Service is amazing-friendly but not in your face. Drinks are beautifully made. I had a alcohol free drink that was beyond. "Back from Baja" kicky, spicy, a little sweet, perfection. We ate some bread and cheese, picture a cinnamon roll without the sweet, pull apart goodness w/burrata to spread. We went to a wnba game and wanted to hit a bar after. This place popped up on Google so we decided to try it. We had a group of four. We left our cars in the lots we prepaid for and walked it as it was pretty close to the stadium (in my opinion). We didn't drink the fun so I don't have much to say about cocktails. We all ordered nachos and they were outstanding. I grabbed a red blend and everyone else had beer. I'm indifferent about the server/service. He wasn't rude but he also didn't give much effort, pretty laid back (not a bad thing, could be off putting to some). He also could have just been tired. If you like pineapple and coconut, this is also a must. But it's not too coconut-ty and it's refreshing without being overly sweet. I could just eat and drink that all day. We were in town precruise and tend to lean towards small places the locals like. So we walked the 1mi trek to this spot my hubs found. It had good ratings and we thought we'd try it. It was busy so that's always a good sign to me. All the tables were full so we sat at the bar. We had the beef nachos and Im not a big fan of them but these were VERY TASTY! it's a large portion and thankfully we shared. We were full but decided to try the strawberry shortcake and another WIN! I went during Sunday afternoon, around 1:30pm, and it was really really busy because there was a football game watch going on, but it was the tail end. I ended up sitting at a 4-top table as the bar ironically was all full, which was fine as this doesn't happen that often, and I could still watch the TV if I wanted to. I ordered the warm garlic pull-apart roll and the "I can't believe it's not muddled" watermelon mojito drink. The roll, despite it being $12 for bread and some burrata, is actually crazy gooood. Like, the bread is soft inside but still has a nice croissant flaky texture outside. It is so buttery and garlicky, and the garlic flavor sneaks up to you in a good way. The burrata cuts down a bit on the garlic flavor so you can rinse and repeat to enjoy the roll gradually. It is a bit filling so one person can treat that as a half a meal. The cocktail is a clarified watermelon mojito drink that is quite interesting. At this point, as I pick up bartending as a hobby, I tend to order drinks where I wouldn't really make at home. It is a clarified cocktail, so it is quite unique, and wow, it is completely clear but you can taste the nuances of watermelon mojito in the drink!! It is refreshing and substantial. Because it is Sunday, it is happy hour so it was $3 off the regular price (happy hour also 4-6pm Monday-Sunday). The name of this place is quite interesting, but honestly, it is not random. It is a great establishment, one that should not be overlooked. read more

Dropped in to Seattle for work, arriving late I needed to find some dinner and man did I hit a jackpot! Grabbed a Chicken Parm and Hot Apple Rye drink. Food was filling, pasta perfectly al dente. We came here randomly to celebrate NYE 2024 before heading to a rooftop party to watch the Space Needle NYE show. No reservations are needed, so this place came in clutch. We're so glad we came here! The owners were there and provided NYE hats and party beads, and the whole bar had a champagne toast to celebrate the ball drop in NYC. It was such a nice time, and the owners were very kind in providing NYE gear and champagne for everyone! We had yet to learn before coming here how much of a community vibe you get with this place. We ordered: -The Crab Nachos were super filling and tasty. I'm so glad we got these! They were the perfect final meal to end 2023. I will definitely be back for these. -The Painted Hills Beef Burger was delicious and filling. -While I Was Away - Refreshing and light, perfect pre-dinner drink -Devil's Margarita--This one was pretty strong. A fun little place located in Belltown. It should be noted that the food menu has changed significantly while the bar menu is pretty much the same. The food menu is titled the "One Star Taco Bar". So mostly taco and cocktails. We had come here at the last minute with our adult children as a pre-game before our youngest's graduation and had lots of fun. The waitress was very helpful in her recommendations and was overall having a good time within walking distance of the Space Needle. On our trip to Seattle we wandered into Some Random Bar - and were glad we did. Nice place, with a relaxed atmosphere, and both indoor and outdoor seating. We had a friendly server - identified as Marshawn Lynch on the receipt HA! - who gave us a few other nearby establishments to check out, all of which we visited and liked. If I could give -50 stars, I would. I was at the apartment building above some random bar the night of 8/10-11/26. Some Random Bar decided to schedule a vent cleaning at 11pm on a Monday night, directly outside residents windows. Two men in all dark clothing, black gloves, leaned a ladder against a residents window and were standing on the first floor roof directly outside at least 8 different people's apartment windows in the middle of the night and then began pressure washing the vents at 12am outside people's homes. We had no notice, (we will be dealing with our apartment management in regard to that) and when we spoke to a blonde female who identified herself as Some Random Bar's owner, she did not apologize once. She was rude, snarky and completely unapologetic that, even though her restaurant is closed during the day, she scheduled for this incredibly loud and offensive (people were in their beds with curtains open because no notice!!!!) vent cleaning in the middle of the night. She was AWFUL and unrepentant to the point that when I did not answer her quickly enough for her she demanded I not ignore her. Twice. All she would have had to do was be kind and reschedule them but instead she completely lacked empathy or compassion. I did record our exchanges, which she approved of and encouraged. read more

Sprinkle the hot sauce on. It's not spicy. It's amazing though! I came here during their happy hour (Tuesday to Saturday 4pm-6pm) which includes 25% off their cocktails, beer, and wine. I sat at the bar and it wasn't super busy at around 5pm on a Thursday. My first drink was the what's that? i want that!! ($13) which was their house mai tai. The drink was tart and I really liked the passionfruit lime foam on top. My second drink was the carajillo ($13) which was coffee-forward. It reminded me of a black Russian with espresso from the kahlúa. My third drink was the back to baja ($13) which was mezcal-forward with spice from the jalapeño. The mezcal went directly to the back of the throat (not a bad thing) and I used the black salt rim to balance it out. It was a nice casual vibe with indoor, outdoor, and upstairs seating. This is a great place to checkout in Belltown. The bartenders are super friendly and nice. Beer options, drinks, and food are all great. They don't have any food options on the 4-6 happy hour menu, but they do on the after 9 HH menu. Great place to go alone or with friends. read more

We've been coming for years and have yet to be disappointed by a dish we've eaten here. This bar is one of the few places that has both great cocktails and great food.
