We were greeted and seated right away. The place itself is large and nicely decorated. We were immediately asked if we knew what we wanted to drink, which caught us a bit off guard. Right after that, we were told there would be a 20% service charge added to the bill. I didn't really like that--I've seen this for large parties, but for just two people it felt odd. It also felt strange to be told about a service charge before any service was actually provided. The food was honestly very mid--wildly average and nothing memorable, especially for the price. The mocktail lacked any complexity and was overly syrupy and sweet. Overall, I think it's a fine place if you want a quick bite and nothing else in the area sounds good.

    12oz Prime Rib

Walked here after Sue Bird tribute game to let traffic die down. Ordered a 12oz Prime Rib. They didn't ask how I want it done so I assume it's one of the reheat versions vs the cool high volume cart places you find in other cities sliced fresh. Came out between medium and well done, well seasoned and doused with au jus. Pretty good for what it is. The sides are great and service attentive. Paid using inKind as that's how I discovered this place. 20% built in service charge clearly displayed in app after noticing it defaulted to only 5% tip rate.

Amazing vibe located downtown on 6th Ave. Came here solo on a Thursday evening at 4:30 pm. Like most places in Seattle HH starts at 3 until 6 or 5-6 pm. Chose to sit at one of the high top seats facing the bar which gave me a great view of the kitchen where the servers picked up the food and on the other end I saw people entering and getting seated by the Host. They also have a mezzanine in which there was a private event taking place but was told it had couches and a pool table(s). Started off with a glass of the Argyle Bloom House Pinot Noir which was not a HH item along with the Calamari which had wings and tentacles. The Pinot paired nicely with my appetizer. Ordering a second glass of wine I had Max who was my server fire up the 8 oz prime rib which was nicely done with the broccolini and Yukon Mash. The main dining bar area was busy when I first arrived but soon emptied out as folks wanted to get their HH prices before heading home after work. This is definitely a place to wind down after a busy day as well as catching up with friends or for a date night out. Highly recommend this place and hope to be back the next time I'm in the Emerald City.

First Impressions - called a Tavern but very upscale Tavern located across from Amazon Spheres..stopped in as first meal in Seattle on recommendation from some locals that eat at the Bagel shop attached. The service was very good, greeted promptly and seated. Informed about 20% tip included before l ordered, which is fine ...the usual tip in big city. Soft music plays in the background and l liked that you could see into the kitchen while chef prepared meal. Food - ordered Rodeo Burger - Patty to Num Ratio was excellent. Bun nice and toasted..The Beef had a solid taste, The regular fries - just fries nothing too special. I would return typical downtown, big- city prices but in a relaxed setting

The Phoenix (pickles are really good).

Went looking for a late dinner after watching "A Christmas Carol". Decided to try The Victor Tavern for their $9 after 9pm special, really an unheard of price in Seattle. We split the Phoenix and the Reuben. I like a lot of spice, the Phoenix wasn't spicy enough for me, but perfect for my partner. In simple terms it's probably just about the right amount of spice for most people. The corned beef on the Reuben was a little dry, but I'm chalking that up to arriving at 9:30pm. I should mention the sandwiches are ala cart, but unless you're trying to soak up a bunch of booze who really needs a big pile of fries that late in the evening. The facility has a great vibe, music at the appropriate volume and very friendly waitstaff. Now how about $35 out the door for 2 sandwiches and a beer?? From now on both times each year that I'm out after 9 o'clock I'm going here.

Delightful experience! Food was tasty, service was great, and our server was friendly and personable! Everything we ordered was delicious! The atmosphere was wonderful and family friendly! Highly recommend The Victor Tavern if you are in Seattle!

I came here for lunch one day and I was definitely not disappointed. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a well stocked bar and an upscale tavern feel. It wasn't busy at all so I would say lunch is the best time to go if you want some privacy. Our food was amazing. The group ordered burgers, chicken sandwiches and calamari. The calamari wasn't that great but it did not take away from how good everything else was. The chicken sandwich was enormous. It was literally twice the size of your normal sandwich. I'm not sure if the picture will do it justice. If you are in the downtown area check this place out.

Lovely restaurant. I had the chop salad & really liked the bacon in it. Otherwise there wasn't anything too special about it. My daughter had a burger & liked it.

We came into Victor Tavern early on a Friday night and were seated quickly. We ate off the happy hour menu, which was a great deal. When we were seated we were told gratuity was included, so we didn't need to add anything to else... I assumed this meant they were a no-tip restaurant, but they actually just tacked on an additional 22% hard-coded tip at the end. We got the Everything Pretzels, which were more like rolls. We shared the Rotisserie Chicken Caesar Salad which was decent. The victory burger was also decent. Overall, it was a fine experience.

Nut allergy friendly: Everything I had was good! There aren't too many dishes with nuts, if at all. Maybe desserts. We walked over from Seattle Convention Center and showed up at 8:40PM on a Sunday with a group of 7 with no reservation and were seated relatively quickly at a long table that easily fit us. Enjoyed a drink on the all-day Sunday happy hour before the $9-after-9PM even better happy hour hit. I ordered a Truffle Burger (4.5/5) and tried my friend's French Dip (4.5/5). The late night menu is the same size as the standard (or so we were told). For $9, the value here is crazy. Maybe one of the best late-night (well, late-dinner really) options in the area. We did 3 orders of Happy Hour Fries and one order of calamari for the 7 of us. Quality here varied - the first two orders were okay, but the last one came out fresh, hot, and perfectly crispy. Maybe they turned the fryers back on just for us... Paid via inKind with only one minor issue (had to get some corrections because of the happy hour shift). Overall, stellar late night option for the value that I'd definitely return to after a long convention day.

3.5 Stars Awesome, stylish interior. Menu is simple with bar fare - burgers and some tasty entrees. For food, tried - Spicy Calamari ($16) - was nice and very crispy, especially dipped in the aioli Prime Rib ($42 for 12 oz) - loved the fatty bits, the succulent pink part, and the herby exterior. The garlic mashed potatoes were also divine. BF & his brother said the drinks weren't good - one drink went unfinished even! Polite staff.

I've been to this restaurant quite a few times over the past couple years. I have noticed a decline in their food quality and also having smaller portions. I don't mind the smaller portions if the food was better but unfortunately it's not as good as it once was.

The First Gentleman was attentive and we got our drinks and an appetizer timely. We ordered our second appetizer with our first server and thats where the service deteriorated. I could hear the table next to us ordered the exact same appetizer as we did 10-15 mins after we did and a new server who must had just clocked in brings them the order literally within 2-3 mins later and the male commented, "oh that was fast" and I thought to myself they got our order. Another 10-15 mins go by and I had to ask "do you know how long our order will take to which she seemed to get annoyed. It could have my energy because by that time I was annoyed. I'm not sure what happened to our original server but he must have gotten off. About 5-10 mins goes by and here it comes. That confirmed the table next to us got our order because of how long it took. They never apologized for their mistake. Doing all that time they never came back to see if we would like another drink. I had to flag someone down. The clincher was we got our bill and there was 22% service charge. That was on me because if I would have seen it I might not have gone. I'm not a fan of automatically charging a service charge. I'm a great tipper but it must be earned. By than I was really annoyed and thought to have a conversation with the manager but let it go. I would not go back. The craft cocktails are spendy but I had no problem with that because they're creative and they earned it by being creative. But the energy and the environment wasn't like the other speak easy bars I visited. It was boring and to top it off the service charge of 22% and the service that came with it sealed it for me. Make sure to read the website on their thought around the 22%.

The prices are on the higher end, but personally I think they're totally worth it for the creativity and overall experience. This is the spot I bring all my out-of-town friends to because the ambiance, vibes, and drinks are just that good. Truly one of Seattle's gems.

I've hosted everything here: birthday celebrations, after-work hangs, and dinners with friends and colleagues. Every single time, it's a hit. People walk in, fall in love with the vibe, and walk out talking about the food. The consistency is unreal. They even order food to go. The flavors? Bold, intentional, and layered in a way that makes each dish feel crafted, not just cooked. The presentation is always stunning; plates that look as good as they taste. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they send out. Drinks are equally impressive. Their cocktails are balanced and creative, the kind that make you slow down just to appreciate the mixology behind them. And for anyone planning group outings: reservations here are a breeze. Roquette was a surprisingly small space with a wonderful vibe serving up "destination" bar-worthy cocktails. It reminded me of some of the neighborhood gem cocktail bars that I'd frequented on the East Coast. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Roquette's lineup of cocktails were varied in flavor profile using a wide range of spirits. They also served non-alcoholic offerings which looked equally intriguing as their boozy selections. I started off with the 99 Problems ($28), which, unfortunately, I forgot to note what was in the drink. It was boozy, clever, inventive, and most importantly delicious. My second drink was the Imperium Old Fashioned ($24) made with Westland Whiskey "Roquette" Barrel, Clement Cask Strength Rhum, Old Delicious Apple Brandy, Pineapple, and Spice. It was an excellent, boozy, balanced update to the classic Old Fashioned. Although I went with drinks off their menu, I have no doubt that any of their skilled bar professionals could've crafted me a wonderful cocktail if I had simply requested a classic or something on the fly based on my choice of spirit and desired flavor profile. Yes, the prices on the two drinks I ordered were pretty steep, but they were comparable to prices I've paid in Las Vegas. Plus, I don't have a problem with paying a premium for a well-made cocktail made with premium ingredients in a comfortable, welcoming setting (the drunken guy next to me who tried to engage with me in a political discussion excluded). Bottom-line: Roquette was a revelation. It served up two of the best cocktails that I've had this year.
