    Nachos

I'll start with the good! Came to Local with some friends after an event in SLU. The drinks were pretty good, especially the skinny mango marg. The nachos were tasty too and they accommodated the vegetarians by putting the beef on the side. It was Friday around 9pm and wasn't too crowded. It took a while to get a table, so I asked the front if we could sit at the bar and they said no. We were eventually seated in the far back away from other parties when there were open tables in the bar area which was a bummer (again, Friday night - would've preferred some liveliness). Our server took a long time to come by throughout the night, like at least 20-30 minutes between, so we only got one round of drinks over 2 hours. Overall a mediocre experience, but maybe we just went on an off-night.

My first stop once I arrived to Seattle and I wanted to whine down. I walked over to this restaurant/bar and instantly fell in love with the vibes! Locals were friendly and approachable. My bartender was very helpful and even gave recs for my nachos. I tried a beermosa made with guava and it was so refreshing! Just what I needed after a flight. My nachos were also good but I wish it had a little more pork meat. Otherwise, great flavors, toppings and generous portion served. This can be shared for sure. Pay them a visit next time you are near by.

Cute restaurant, service was great and ambiance was nice. Food was good but more on the expensive side for some of the portions given. Overall I would definitely come back. Shrimp dumplings were AMAZING

Food - I got the dutch baby which was good. But I had some of my husband's hash and the potatoes were amazing. They were little squares of thinly sliced and layered potatoes that were crispy and salted perfectly. I will try the recreate these potatoes at home but I'll prob fail. Service - we had a large party and they handled our orders great. Everything came out quickly and they checked in on us. Ambiance - tons of seating. They have an upstairs area as well as a separate bar area. Tvs everywhere. And they play music videos which I miss.

This place was busy when we got there at 530p. Our group was able to get a booth in the bar area so it was a little bit loud but we had a great waitress. When the water arrived our glasses were dirty and there was a lot of floaties. We asked for a new glasses and the glasses that were provided were also dirty. I ordered the fish tacos that came with two deep fried fish tacos on fresh cabbage and a delicious pico de gallo. Also it had a side of french fries that were a little underdone and they charged a dollar for a side of tartar sauce. The fish tacos were delicious. They were fresh, flaky, and the Pico was the magic ingredient. Highly recommend. The french fries however were underdone so they were dense and firm but had great seasoning. With tip, the plate was $27.50

Walked here as SlU Block Party didn't have many food options. Friendly server. Ordered the Peanut Satay Noodle Salad $23 and Blackened chicken curry bowl $24. A bit overpriced for the portion that you get but the food was tasty. A bit loud that we had to kinda raise our voices but otherwise all good. Solid 3.5

The local burger and fries. Sooo good

The food is truly delicious. The steak and dumplings *chefs kiss. The local Burger was perfectly seasoned and gooey in just the right way. And the apple pie cobbler was so good we had it first and we're glad we did. The drinks were also perfectly crafted but the real icing on the cake was Tina our server! Attentive and kind and steered us in the right direction. We highly recommend Local! *Ask for Tina!

This is a good spot in south lake Union to get a drink or food. I'd describe it as a "fun" atmosphere and a decent gathering spot. Typical menu which provides many options as well as some signature drinks. I've been to this location 3x and feel a mixed bag on the waitstaff. Usually good, upbeat service though.

Solid 3.5 for food and 5 for service. Conveniently located LPE is a great spot to catch a quick lunch while at work. I personally didn't like how tangy my couscous salad was, but I appreciated the freshness of ingredients. Next time around I'll probably go for the ramen my colleague ordered that looked delicious! The ambiance is pretty bare bones but good if one would like to schedule a work lunch. I'll likely have to be back coz I often stop by the building next door for work.

Cute and fun spot to eat at! Right around the corner from my hotel and was referred by the hotel staff. I sat at the bar and ordered their Caesar salad with grilled chicken and fries (balance right?! ) the service was great and the food was delicious. The Caesar had a spicy dressing that was signature and memorable. Can't wait to make this my local spot when I'm back in Seattle again!

Recently visited Local after attending a concert because it was one of the restaurants that was still opened late. This place is quite a vibe! It's dark inside and is like a sports bar but they also have outdoor seating with fairy lights. Tbh some food items are kinda pricy but delicious. We got the Hawker's street curry which came with roti bread and curry sauce. The roti bread was warm and soft. The curry sauce tasted like a thicker version of Tom Kha which is sweet and sour soup with coconut cream. I also ordered the Local burger with yam fries. Burger was pretty good and filling (it came with two patties). Highly recommend the yam fries! They're perfectly crisp and came with an yummy sauce. I was excited to visit again after another concert a week later because I wanted to try their ramen with fried chicken but they had a sign saying they were closed early :/

Ranch - you have to pay for it

We really enjoyed this local find. Really nice hangout place. Tons of seating options - indoor and outdoor. A lot of drink options. I got the steak and fries and my husband got the Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was spicy, which was interesting, but still good. The sauce on top of my steak was SO GOOD. I loved it. They make you pay for ranch, which I don't like. They almost lost a star for it, but the food and service were good, so I kept them at 5 stars.

I came here 3 years ago and since then I have told myself whenever I go back to Seattle I am going back to Local and getting my steak and fries! Here I am the next day writing this review because I have finally returned and was SATISFIED. This time around I tried to expresso martini and loved it. My boyfriend enjoyed his pulled pork pasta and old fashion. We left fully humbled. Next was the ongoing loop of early 2000 music videos playing on the screens. Please keep that up. It really was a nostalgic moment for us to watching alot of music videos and enjoying our delicious meal. Our service was great as well. The hostess were helpful and made us felt welcomed. Till next time.

We tried the Japanese Breakfast, which is a savory cocktail and such a pleasant surprise. It genuinely has miso soup notes. It's very unique and creative. I also had El Boho (flavorful but not overly sweet). The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to recommending drinks. The prices are on the higher end, but personally I think they're totally worth it for the creativity and overall experience. The First Gentleman was attentive and we got our drinks and an appetizer timely. We ordered our second appetizer with our first server and thats where the service deteriorated. I could hear the table next to us ordered the exact same appetizer as we did 10-15 mins after we did and a new server who must had just clocked in brings them the order literally within 2-3 mins later and the male commented, "oh that was fast" and I thought to myself they got our order. Another 10-15 mins go by and I had to ask "do you know how long our order will take to which she seemed to get annoyed. It could have my energy because by that time I was annoyed. I'm not sure what happened to our original server but he must have gotten off. About 5-10 mins goes by and here it comes. That confirmed the table next to us got our order because of how long it took. They never apologized for their mistake. Doing all that time they never came back to see if we would like another drink. I had to flag someone down. The clincher was we got our bill and there was 22% service charge. That was on me because if I would have seen it I might not have gone. I'm not a fan of automatically charging a service charge. I'm a great tipper but it must be earned. By than I was really annoyed and thought to have a conversation with the manager but let it go. I would not go back. The craft cocktails are spendy but I had no problem with that because they're creative and they earned it by being creative. Parking can be a wee bit tricky so waking, ride share, or public transit will be your best options. But if you have to drive we found a paid lot a few blocks away While this wasn't the best tiki bar we've ever been to, it did stand out for the presentation of drinks, the cool (and massive) octopus, the immersion, and overall vibe is nice and atmospheric They have four non-alcoholic options which I really appreciated as the one driving for the night! They also have standard as well as unique takes on tiki drinks. We were surprised to find so many options with vodka and tequila which isn't common in a more traditional tiki bar We had the: - "Kiki Premier Mai Tai" which wasn't as rum forward as we would have thought, especially given how many rums it had in it; but overall it was a classic style Mai Tai and tasty with quality rums - "One Eyed Willy" which has a fun presentation in a chest with smoking dry ice. This one you could taste the rum more and overall it was a really enjoyable drink and experience - "See A Light" which is a non-alcoholic option and the taste was just as good as the presentation. Came in a lovely angler fish tiki mug with the light and everything! The taste was complex and something that thought went into creating - "Four Boys" another non-alcoholic option that was the coolest visual as it came in a "steaming" crock pot. This is a speakeasy inside Rumba, I did not know that going in. It's incredibly cool to walk into the bar. The decor is amazing. It's super small though with a few tables and bar seating. It was kinda loud when I was there since most tables were filled. My server was nice as well and was able to answer all my questions. Ambiance was exceptional and is such a cool place to visit. Most of the cocktails came with fancy show of some sort and were extravagant - and equally delicious. I got The Inside Passage, but there were at least three others I was trying to chose from. There was a lot of thought that went into the presentation of each of the drinks and I love that attention to detail. Since it was around dinner time I did want to order food and drink. They did not have the Kikisoba (they ran out) and that made me sad, but I was able to order the Rumba sliders and a basket of fries. I'm not a huge sliders fan, and I did order the caramelized pineapple on the side. The sliders were incredibly flavorful and the perfect size.
