I went with a group of six at 530 pm and they were so welcoming and sat us almost immediately! Our server as phenomenal!! He gave us great recommendations and was very attentive. The food was all delicious!! It is a fun take on bar food and next time I want to try the ramen! I had the Diablo burger and it was super tasty!! 10/10 recommend! The restaurant is understaffed. Whether that is a company decision to save money or an inability to hire, I cannot say. We waited 15 minutes for to be greeted, we would have left, but not many choices on a Sunday within walking distance of our hotel. Once greeted, as for a cocktail and water. Never received the water. The appetizer came no silverware. After an hour we finally were able to order another round of drinks and our food. The food beat out drinks and silverware. When the food arrived, it was wrong. The burger was missing the burger patty. This is absolutely not the waitress's fault. She had over a dozen tables. This is a staffing issue. Either limit seating or hire more people. What food we had was good. This comes from a couple with over 40 yrs combined experience in the food industry. We have been business owners for over 10 years. Companies, corporations need to be held accountable. This world is more than the bottom line. read more

I don't know how you can screw up a burger but they did. It tasted super gamey and had a weird smell I've never associated with burgers. The onion rings were good though. I couldn't get past one single bite. It was enough to make me gag. Sorry but it just wasn't good. I had to throw it out. No regrets about strolling into this hip eatery and drinkery steps from my hotel. Found an open stool at the bar for a late lunch. It was not a typically busy time but the place was comfortably half full. I went with the basic LOCAL burger ($10 HH price) which is a double smash burger, L T and special sauce. The bartender said the fries were "like McD's but better" and she nailed it. Added a cold IPA off the rotating tap menu to round out the delicious experience. Love this place for a great local, American bar experience. Great service with lots of great bar food options and local draft beer. It can get very busy here but we have never had problems getting a table. Vibe: After work/ Happy Hour experience in a great bar ambience. A bit loud especially close to the bar but it gives it a great vibe. Service: Service was amazing with our waiter always asking if there is anything else we need. Welcoming atmosphere. My son and I stopped in before a concert at the Paramount around 5pm on a a Wednesday. It's definitely a tech bro unwind spot but that's ok. We got the tempura shrimp which was tasty and two local burgers. Also tasty. The down side was the service was crappy. She asked if we wanted the appetizer to come with the mains (clearly what she wanted to happen) and we asked them to come as an appetizer. They came exactly 60 seconds before the burgers. Then she asked, after I had the nerve to order a second drink, if she could cash us out. I figured she was at the end of her shift so I agreed of course. Nope. She kept serving for the 20 minutes after while I finished my beer. Just wanted us gone. Heard her do it to the table next to us before she did it to us too. Would not recommend unless you are going for the open space. Services are just horrendous, i always tip eating out and for this place i feel like being rob to tip. Take forever to get seated (more than 10 mins), and then forever to have the server comes to take the order (another 15 minutes), then we wait for another half hour for the food, and at the end, even for the check, we had to wait another 25 minutes for it. Water was not refilled even once unless we ask at the end prior to paying. The restaurant was not even half filled. Maybe all the servers there really have a rough day? No, i came back the second time and services are the same. It's a shame because the location is convenient for me. Food is really mid, i would say Seattle has many great restaurants and this is not one of them. The burger is dry, the edamame was overcooked and bitter (burnt) and my friend's dish was underseasoned and just not impressive for the price. read more

First night in town and in search of a place for dinner that wasn't too far from our hotel (it was walking distance). It was definitely a sports bar kind of place that also serves food versus a more family friendly place to eat (minors are allowed, but menu offerings may be limited). It was busy and there were plenty of people at the bar side of the restaurant. We were seated right away and given menus. They offer a variety of foods--burgers, sandwiches, Asian inspired, Mexican--something for everyone. We ordered the hand made roti (I couldn't get enough of the curry dipping sauce), Malaysian curry bowl, fried chicken ramen, and the Deluxe burger. Both the roti and the curry bowl were absolutely delicious. The ramen was definitely satisfying for that cold evening. The chicken was nicely fried, crisp & not greasy--the combination paired well. The fried chicken was also served separately from the ramen, so it was not a soggy piece of chicken! We also had the beermosa and I've never had anything like it and honestly the lager with OJ was delicious. I wanted to chug it, but that wouldn't have been very ladylike! I'll drink this over the traditional mimosa any day--I just hope I can find it back home. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and was very satisfying. Local public eatery is an okay spot to eat, a good option for workday lunches with a group of people. Came here for a team lunch, and wasn't super busy. The vibe is pretty upbeat and casual. With all the offices around, they have lots of seating and can accommodate larger groups which is always good. Food-wise, we ordered the roti, fried chicken, and potato bites as appetizers and I ordered the fish and chips. The appetizers were overall pretty good with the exception being that the fried chicken was a bit salty. The fish and chips was not so good though. The fries were good, the slaw was fine, but the fish was not great. Usually you'd want a nice crunchy exterior, and a flaky fish center. But it was more crunch outside, then mushy semi cooked batter and mushy fish inside. Overall, not bad, the place is a bit expensive for what they have, food is okay, service is good. Great food! Slow service! Modern open space and cool wood tables. We never ordered any cocktails, but we saw a lot of tables with them and they looked amazing. It was NYE so it was very busy by the time we left....Not so much when we arrived and ordered our food, but still a little packed. I'm hoping it not always busy, but it took us about 45 min to get our food. We got the local burger and the bbq beef bowl. Both were phenomenal, especially the bbq beef bowl. The meat was so soft and tender. The cabbage was nice and crunchy and tangy. Rice was a little mushy but the fried egg was great as well. That was an excellent choice. I went here on a Sunday afternoon with my nephew. This is a good place to watch football because there are a lot of TVs. It is also good for out of towners because although titled Local Public Eatery, it does not have a lot of Seahawks or Huskies paraphernalia up. It has a nice mix of small tables and big tables for groups. The staff is friendly, but service was spotty. They did a good job taking initial orders and then bringing out food, but did not check in much if we wanted more drinks or dessert. Some others commented on the prices. The food and drinks are not cheap, but kind of expected for the area. They have a good choice of beers--I had a sour and then my nephew had a Blue Crush (with rum) that he really liked. For an appetizer, we got the beet hummus. It was good, but it came with tortilla chips where I would have preferred pita or pita chips. For the main course, I had a crispy chicken sandwich and then upgraded to onion rings. Both were good, the sandwich was definitely crispy with a good flavor and the onion rings were not too greasy. But back to comments on other reviews, not sure if worth over $25. It was a good place to watch some games, but if I go back and I am not sure if I will eat. read more

**vegetarian review** I came here for office lunch. They were able to accomodate my group of 15 without reservation just fine which was awesome. The menu is quite varied and fairly vegetarian friendly. The food took forever 30-40mins to arrive which is kinda too long. They were waiting for all food to be ready before serving i guess. I got the thai noodle salad with tofu. The salad was quite good, but maybe could have done with some more greens. their potatoes are delicious. Its kinda an okay place overall. Was super excited to try this place. Menu looks great and I came at a off time (3pm on a Sunday) so was thinking that would be a great time for a late lunch. Had even mentioned that my gf just got off a plane, was starving, and we headed straight there when chatting with the waiter. I was severely mistaken with my expectations. 2 hours later and we received one round of drinks and zero food. I mentioned to the waiter that this was unacceptable even thought not his fault. He apologized and comped the drinks. And said "I'm sorry about that. try us again". Sorry in this business I won't be voluntarily choosing to come back and pay for an experience like this again. Unfortunately, Seahawks lost in OT, just happen I am a rams fan so it was fun to observe quietly to see how fans react. After 6pm is when people start coming for dinner as the place filled up on the bar side. - Foods: Above average burger. Burger came out not as hot and juicy. Onion rings were definitely hot! :). The secret sauce is on the salty side, good flavor. They did allow me to change lettuce with arugula, that is a ++. - Service was great, fast and friendly. - Right restaurant & bar for game nights. Came back yesterday and loved it. It's just a few blocks from my church and this may become our new post church brunch spot! Get the guava mimosas, so good! We tried a few new things and have an updated suggestion list. The eggs Benedict is still my favorite I think! The potatoes have the perfect crunch. And a surprising winner was the fried chicken ramen. Nothing like a packet. It comes with the fried chicken wings on the side and my friend is still talking about it the next day! Our server was super nice and checked on us multiple times. It has a Joey's vibe inside.. which is great! :) it is a bit expensive for brunch, but pretty reasonable for lunch and dinner I think. read more

The restaurant wasn't very busy, but we were sat in between two full tables, while the other half the room was completely empty -- felt very crowded and uncomfortable.
