Stopped by Good Voyage for a light morning breakfast at a quarter to 11. Parked on a side street. The restaurant had a few tables filled when we went, but a couple large parties entered as we were wrapping up. Staff is friendly. The food: Seed Loaf Royale - What kind of mad science are they doing at this restaurant?! Starts with a griddled slice of poppyseed cake. It rests on a bed of ham and is topped with a generous pat of butter and a poached egg. On the side is honey hot sauce. My first attempt at eating this, I dipped the cake into the hot sauce - that was way too much. Then, I made the perfect bite with all the components and added a little of the hot sauce. That was an awesome combination that was really unexpected. Breakfast sandwich with bacon - This is simple, but executed well. Crisp bacon, nicely fried egg, and melted cheese on a soft kaiser bun. I saw a lot of rave reviews and this tasting makes me want to come back for dinner at some point. read more

The service was pretty slow the day we went, but the staff was polite and expressed their apologies. The café itself is cute and eclectic. We went for brunch, we got right in. It was a little busy. We ordered a few things to share. We got a breakfast sandwich, which they forgot to add hot honey, so once we flagged someone down they brought it to us on the side. The gigante beans, which I didn't even know what to expect with these, but was pleasantly surprised. I rather enjoyed them. The bread pudding French toast was just okay. We had heard people talk about it, so that's why we ordered it. I personally wouldn't order that again though. Now the salted cheese tart... that was spectacular. So delicious. I came by Good Voyage for lunch this week with my coworkers right before a work meeting and we all enjoyed our visit here. I was able to park in the parking lot next to Good Voyage, in front of the laundromat. Did not see a sign that parking wasn't allowed here for the coffee shop, so correct me if I am wrong. We did have a hard time finding a sign that said Good Voyage for the actual coffee shop, but from online photos we knew we were in the right place. What a nice hidden gem in south Park. Drove by many times, thought it was a coffee shop but it's a full sit down restaurant, tho you can order to go from the counter. Cute ambiance, quaint. Chill music on speaker. Server super nice and friendly. Got the breakfast plate. Loved the soft boiled eggs like i used to get at Cafe presse (rip). Bacon was good. My husband and I went here yesterday for a delicious lunch date. Our food surprised and delighted us-- clearly chef is a genius with lemon and tarragon. We ordered the chicken au jus sandwich and lentil salad (they were out of lentils and subbed with gigante beans, but dressed the same with chicken, it was so yummy). Service kind and helpful to us as we navigated the menu for our dairy allergy. Ambiance was elevated yet inviting. We saw people coming in for dates and community hang outs. The playlist of indie country (think Neko Case) was excellent. My only wish is for there to be some vegan/dairy-free sweets in the future. We had breakfast from Drury Lane. Days later, I'm still thinking about the egg and sausage english muffin sandwich I had. It was so damn good. Like, I think I'm going back this weekend good. Nice thin little sausage patty. Interesting flavors, but the english muffin was so perfectly unique that it made the experience special. Go to Good Voyage on Fri-Sun and eat breakfast there. Good Voyage is a fabulous coffee bar & wine bistro newly opened in South Park. Open from early to late. I stopped by for the signature Friday a.m. bagel fest and was rewarded with the best everything bagel (w/ schmear) I've ever had. There are numerous bites on the simple menu but one is welcome to bring something from Momo's Kebabs or other nearby eateries. The coffee is excellent. Campbell and Amanda are South Park people. Dear Good Voyage, South Park Seattle has been waiting for you. My husband and I moved to South Park over a year ago and have been eager for a local third-place to open in our neighborhood, with great hours, great food, and great drink. We've been regulars at the owner Campbell's boutique wine bar, Left Bank, just one door away, but had caught wind that he would be opening a new project just a few feet away. While we will forever visit Left Bank for its quaint atmosphere and selection of natural wines, we were looking for a place that not only had wine, but a selection of beers on tap as well as small bites. For opening weekend we were able to purchase a cheese tart and gluten free chocolate gateaux made by Amanda Stoddard and it was phenomenal to be able to pair dessert with a refreshing IPA. Good voyage also features a selection of champagnes that can be paired with small meat and cheese plates. We are here on their 2nd soft open evening and there were at least 50 people here - not bad for its first weekend. Good Voyage is slated to be open Monday-Sunday, 7:00 am - 2pm, 4:00 pm- 10:00 pm Monday-Friday, and until midnight Friday & Saturday. Thank you for breathing life into this little corner of South Park. We've finally got our new weekly hangout. read more
