I was exploring Beacon Hill by foot after a late lunch, and stumbled across Perihelion Brewery by chance. The building looked open and inviting, especially the back patio surrounded by flower bushes, so we stopped here for a beer. The space is so pleasant, both inside and out. Big windows, high ceiling, and then outside were tables with little fire pits- we sat at one of those but didn't need the fire since it was daytime and quite warm out! The beer menu has some unique choices, two of which we picked. My husband asked if the roasted pepper IPA was more like a roasted bell pepper or hot pepper, and the server said she felt it was more of a spicy pepper. She said she could offer him a taste to try it first, but my husband basically said, "Nah, I'll just go all in!" ... no regrets- he really enjoyed it! I was intrigued by the orange blossom honey braggot... I had no idea what braggot was. The server said it was something like a cross between a beer and mead. SOLD! Immediately ordered that thang. Ohhh it was delicious!! We simply stopped for one beer each and it was a shorter visit, but we really enjoyed our time. My only complaints are that the beer is on the pricier side, and there was something like a 20% automatic service charge (it was stated on a sign at the table so it wasn't a surprise). Although, I've been seeing that the owner from Perihelion has been responding to reviews here stating that due to complaints about this charge, they have gone back to normal tipping. If so, I think it's great that they listened to their customers. They may want to update their website to communicate that same message as well. I don't come to Beacon Hill often, but if I'm ever in the area, I will definitely return to Perihelion and maybe even try some of their food! read more

Arrived about 6pm after some in our group ate at Milk Drunk next door. We wanted to watch the Argentina World Cup game and have a beer. We were greeted and seated immediately with a good view of a game. We enjoyed the relaxed and inviting atmosphere of the microbrewery. Two of us ordered mains and the other two had drinks only. We ordered a Mediterranean burger and a Beacon Hill. My Beacon Hill burger was juicy and tasty although not cook to my request of medium rare. There was no pink, but it was delicious. The Mediterranean burger had lamb patty with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion and harissa aioli and was enjoyed by my friend. We also enjoyed an in house ale with our burgers. Both were great. Others had and enjoyed a Mimosa and a Raspberry Mojito slushy. Heads up! There is an 20% service fee added to all checks and service was slow. Came for the trivia because that's my new thing...got the featured flight- golden girls which includes Basil Saison - Blanche, Pink Guava Saison - Rose, Summer Kolsch - Dorothy, Belgian Golden, Pilsner - Ma all brewed here. Stopped by for brunch during a weekend visit to Seattle. There was plenty of seating inside and outside. There were also tables either tabletop fire pits available both inside and outside. Staff were super friendly and quick to take our orders. Lots of beer on tap as well as cocktails! I had the basil mimosa which was so refreshing! My friends had the New Years flight and told me the beers were good. I had the brisket sandwich which was pretty standard; it is quite large so definitely something that can be shared. It comes with a side of pickled vegetables that I really enjoyed! We ordered an extra side of curly fries-- crispy and fried to perfection. This place has been hopping for a while now and sure the top notch drink and beer selections are what you go here for it's the food that's next level good. They never skimp and for starters get the crispy fried Brussels sprouts that are mixed with red onions, "yes" craisins with garlic salt and a smoky chile aioli. Other must haves are the sweet potato fries, mole negro nachos and the Mac & cheese mixed with Beechers Flagship cheddar cheese. For mains we got the Beacon Burger and make sure to add the aioli awesome sauce! On a previous trip we had the grilled pork bahn mi sandwich too. Don't forget to grab a wide range of the deelish desserts before you leave. The interior wood design is unique and they've also god heated outdoor seating areas as well. Best fries in the city I've had so far - they are perfectly crispy, salty, and have delicious sauces to dip them in. The food and drink here is good but the service is really lacking. The few times we've been here we wait around 30-45mins to order food and to get the bill. One time we were waiting nearly an hour before we got served and we literally couldn't get any other servers that were there to even wave someone down for us. Stopped in on a Thursday evening shortly after they opened for a nice solo dinner before heading into traffic and had a great time and good food. I sat facing the street across from the bar to people watch and noticed they have a To-go window for walk up orders, love that for the neighborhood folks! Note, you can also order beer to-go at the window I ordered Gochujung wings & a side of fries. The fries came out pipping hot first and I burned my tongue twice before my greedy spirit was willing to wait for them to cool a bit. The wings came out shortly after and paired perfectly with the fries. I had no room left for dessert but the cakes looked delicious and they had the fall flavor of pumpkin cheesecake tart. Carly Viup here. I work in hospitality and have a Korean boyfriend so I know a thing or two about great service and quality restaurants. This place did not disappoint. I drove my Honda here on a Sunday to watch the Seahawks. Thankfully they had TVs. I had 4 beers and a glass of Sav Blanc before I ordered. The service was so attentive I felt like I became close with my server, B. I asked what she recommended and she said Chili, the cheese burger, the fries, the nachos, and grilled cheese. I decided to order everything and it was amazing. The chili though...I haven't felt that much pleasure since eating at a Michelin star restaurant in Hong Kong with my friend Naomi Tanaka after her divorce. I ended up having a few more beers and a slice of cake. Boy was I full. I love it here. While I'm usually disappointed, I tend to try crab cakes anyway and attempt to temper my expectations. The crab cake was pleasantly surprising with very strong citrus notes and minimum filler. They don't take reservations and they can get busy but it's still a go-to spot we like to go either for date night, taking out of town friends/family, or meeting up with friends. Typically, with subpar service like this, I wouldn't leave a good tip, but they have a fixed 22% service charge. It's a cart blanche to provide subpar service. One of my favorite restaurants in the area! I've been here 3 times and have always been impressed by their food. My go-to is their vegetarian sandwich (Linda's special?) which comes with butternut squash, mushrooms, pickled red onions, greens, all topped with truffle sauce. I've gotten this 2x and have loved it every time :) I got their blackened salmon sandwich this time around and the fish was super good- very tender and flakey with a good charred flavor! Their fries are my favorite- I must get these everytime. I normally get half sweet and half regular fries but opted for all regular fries this time. It's $9 for a huge portion that's easily split between 2-3 people. Comes with 2 yummy aioli's (I believe it's a bone marrow and a red pepper?). What a great spot! Very quintessential Seattle. Food: everything we had was great, from the apps to burgers and fries to ice cream bars (they're huge!). The stuffed peppers special was smaller than expected but hit the spot. We snacked on fries (VERY yummy) and bang bang shrimp before even ordering burgers. I had to take half my burger to go because it was just so. much. food. Service: Great! Everyone is kind of running around like the kitchen is on fire (it was a busy Friday night), but everyone was so accommodating that I almost felt like I was back living in South America. On chili days your welcome to warm up outside by one of the fire pits that are crackling on the patio. Not only do they brew their own beer but they're also making some delicious eats. What we ordered: Beacon Burger $14 BBQ Brisket Sandwich $14 Sweet Potato Fries $8 The burgers/sandwiches don't come with the side so we ordered it separately. And WOW, finally did they give us a load of sweet potato fries. Love how they weren't stingy with the portion sizing like some places I've recently been too. The Beacon Burger was messy and required several napkins for all the juiciness from the sauces and meat juice. Delicious! The BBQ Brisket Sandwich was exceptionally messy but it was so loaded with so much meat and coleslaw, I wasn't sure if I should have taken a fork and knife too it or not. The house-made pickled veggies were a surprise, and really gave my palate a refresh for another bite of the sandwich. They seem to have a rotating menu, working with what seasonal and fresh. The speciality sandwich was mushy and when we advised the server that a menu specified item was missing from it she blamed it being new to the cook. OMG. This place is BOMB.com!!! I came here after drinking like 10 beers at Jefferson Park looking for a place to grub, and this place did not disappoint. First off, Brita and Molly are Queens. For real! They were hustling and bringing me drinks and food so fast. I got like soooo tipsy before the food came. Shout out to the Sour Beers!!! Then came the game changer- something that made me question my life- the Chicken Freaking Sandwich. Now I'm a total basic B for Rangoon, but combine it on a chicky sandwich and wow!!! Loved it and ate it in 3 bites. After 2 sandwiches, an order of fries, and a piece of cake, I switched to hard alcohol and got the margaritas. Seriously they were AMAZING!!! And my girls Brita and Molly never stopped making sure I was satisfied. I went home full and happy, just to brag to my bf how good my food was. One of the best brewery's in WA! Beacon Hill is so lucky to have Perihelion Brewery in its midst because it's a wonderful edition to their area. The food here is so tasty and let me just tell you we've tried just about every app on their menu and all of them are to die for. I also like the fact that they have flavorful sandwiches on their menu and even some vegan/vegetarian friendly items. Plus the brews here are out of this world. Well technically they're out of the US as some are imported but you get I mean haha. Be sure to stop in to try a flight and get some apps whenever you're in the Beacon Hill area! read more

Overpriced and sub-par food. The "Friday" fried chicken sandwich is weird. Not crispy, and the "Mediterranean" toppings are just strange. Sounded interesting, but it's not. The weird lemony sauce on top is really out of place. The burger looks good but also... isn't. Flavorless and messy. Fries are good! Beer was not bad. What a great corner spot nestled comfortably in the neighborhood of Beacon Hill. While service was slow (I think they forgot about us) the food was really quite yummy! While a brewery, the real stars of the show are that burgers! Stacked high and delicious, and cooked to your liking. I wouldn't be against going back and exploring more if their menu. read more

Friendly service, but it was not too attentive - looks like they do not have an assigned wait person to certain tables (which is fine), but some drink order was forgotten for a while in between the several service person's visits to our table (thus one mossing). It was busy weeknight, so we understand where the hiccups was, but it would have been nicer if we all could enjoy the ice cold beer with meals. Food was good (watermelon salad is perfect for the hot summer evening), beer was wonderful, and I wish I left some room for additional desserts - their cake looks sooooo good (will have to return here soon to try them)! Note parking can be a bit of a challenge, but I suppose that is expected in Beacon Hill. Ample street parking available if you don't mind walking a block or two to/from Perihelion. read more

I came here for a late lunch on a Saturday at about 2:30pm. The restaurant was still pretty full but my party of 2 was able to be seated immediately as there were a few tables open. I ordered the salmon mousse that came with pickled green beans and toast. Out of these three items I think I liked the pickled green beans the most. They had some spice to them and were so tasty. But of course the salmon mousse was good too! I got the beacon burger for my main. It was very tasty and I loved the special sauce which is also included on each table in the restaurant. Came here to meet my boyfriend's parents for the first time after a long shift managing my own restaurant, and the service was painful. We sat 15 minutes with no drinks while two servers apparently fought over who should take the table, and no one checked back until we were already halfway through our meal -- too late to mention the untouched Brussels sprouts, and no mention of it when clearing our plates... The low point? A new server interrupted my boyfriend's dad mid-story to ask him to hand her a fork from the far side of the table. Clearing a table is supposed to serve the guest's experience, not the server's convenience. Meanwhile, the door slammed every time our server went in and out to do closing side work before the place was even closed, making the whole meal feel rushed and careless. Beer was good, food was hot but forgettable, and the "Asian fusion" was just bar food in disguise. Final thought: they didn't just drop the ball -- they let it roll out the door and slam shut behind it. We came on a busy Sunday afternoon for lunch on my husband's birthday. Though it was busy, we never felt neglected. Service was perfectly timed and our server was helpful. It's a cozy little brewery with in and outdoor seating.. he wanted to sit outside, which was full so we opted to sit at a rail-like seating option, facing the street. I know, it sounds awful, but it actually wasn't bad. We just people watched. On to the best part: the beacon burger. We each got it and were each thoroughly pleased. That pork belly bacon is incredible. The burgers were incredibly juicy, though slightly overcooked (we ordered medium and they were almost well done). Usually this would disappoint me, but it was so flavorful and juicy that it honestly didn't matter. The garlic Parmesan fries were great, especially when they first came and were very hot. After the cool down, they did get a little soggy, but were still good. Both aiolis were great. My husband enjoyed his margarita and I loved the blackberry (I think) cider that I got.
