I always see it so full of people, especially in the summer. Nice ambiance and all the outdoor seating in the summer is lovely. I thought it was ok, pretty good. Since it's colder now in November, we did indoor seating (they do have one or two fireplaces outside I saw). Because it had an open kitchen I do think smells can stick onto you. We got the sweet potato fries which were delicious and I loved the bone marrow aioli. My boyfriend got the truffle burger and subbed blue cheese for Swiss. I tried it and thought it was pretty good. We had a really great time here for Father's Day. After seeing the Van Gough Immersive Experience, we went to Perihelion for dinner. My oldest daughter picked this place from Yelp. We waited in line outside for about 15 minutes until they had room for us and they do still request proof of Covid vaccination for everyone. Once seated we had great service. I started with the colorful Rainbow Flight of 5 ounce beer tasters. They included: Martian Red IPA, Maibock, Summer Kolsch, Hoppy Saison, & Purple Haze. My daughter had Orange Wine and the Froze later on. My wife tried the Virgin Pina Colada Slushie. We started with the Rainbow Antipasto Plate for snacks and it was consumed quickly. There was something for everyone on it. We also shared a large order of mixed fries with our dinners (sweet potato and regular fries). They were served with two interesting dipping sauces: Smoked Chile Aioli and Bone Marrow Aioli. These were very yummy and I've never had anything with bone marrow flavoring. We all loved these sauces. For dinner I had the Beacon Burger which had smoked pork belly on it as well as Beecher's cheese. It was super yummy! The rest of the group had the Blue Cheese Truffle Burger, Blackened Salmon Sandwich, Big Mac N Cheese, the Gochujung Wings, Baked Brussel Sprouts, and Blistered Green Beans. You no longer order at the counter, but you do check in there to a hostess who will seat you, then your server will wait on you. Relaxing at a barrel table or one of patio tables enjoying tasty brews. The beers are perfected. A Dunkel that is so easy drinking on a summer day it comes in its own taller glass. They were busy on a Saturday afternoon, but we were able to grab a spot right away. From the very beginning, staff were super helpful and nice! It was a very welcoming place. This is a collective Yelp post for three visits. I credit the MKE Yelper for convincing me to try Perihelion Brewery in Seattle's Beacon Hill neighborhood back on 6/13/21. I should remember that despite not being a beer drinker, most brew pubs have decent food. We were getting on each other's nerves at a bar two top, but once my order was placed in front of me with an icy cold ginger beer, I only need to remember three words, Chili Con Carne. This was nicely placed in a bowl, visually pleasing with smoked pork belly, BBQ brisket, butternut squash, tomato, Perihelion Ale, sour cream, chopped sweet onion, cilantro, and served with a toasted artisan bread slice. The flavors melded together was simply amazing! I returned solo on 8/8/21 and repeated the above seated at a bright window counter. And it wasn't a fluke, this was so delicious! I did online takeout on 11/21/21 again the chili con carne ($10), but also for The Homie he requested Gochujang Wings with shiracha dipping sauce and house pickles (got 6 for $12) and Fries with garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked chile aioli and bone marrow aioli ($6). This was ready upon arrival, but the dishes did not travel well, despite my speeding back from Beacon Hill to Shoreline. Their food is meant to be eaten onsite after being made to order. Flavors were there for the chili con carne, but pouring from a takeout container wasn't as visually pleasing and the toasted bread was now steamed bread wrapped in foil. The fries were not texturally crispy, again steamed in the takeout box. The wings probably did the best as takeout. The beer flight was terrific and I loved the large pours they offered in the specialty glasses. We didn't go thirsty! Very diverse selection of brews to choose from. The food here is also very good. And waited for a server. And waited. And waited. Finally I got up and walked over to where 3 servers were standing & asked how to order: "oh we can take your order". I left. Restaurants staffed by aloof hipster servers are not worth patronizing. Also, they were all masked. Were they sick? If so, stay home. If not, lose the mask - it's looks silly and is pointless. Our most recent experience, however, was a disappointment. About a week ago, I ordered a burger to go for my kid. I saw the takeout bag get placed on the counter, saw the server/person working the takeout window check it, and assumed it for somebody else because no call-out was done. About 10 minutes later I approached the window again, and was greeted with surprise that we were still waiting for our burger. The bag was checked again, and then handed to me. Upon getting home, my kid opens the container to find an open-faced burger. No bun! We did not request this. In fact, while awaiting the order we were talking about how I could make her something similar at home, but I didn't have any brioche buns, so this would be better. It was stacked with mushrooms and onions - there wasn't a ton of bone marrow but it was very rich and decadent, and perfect on top of the crusty bread. The jackfruit burger wasn't really my thing, super tart and lots of garlic cloves. The guava basil saison ($7) barely tasted like guava and I wasn't the hugest fan, but the rose ale ($7) was nice and refreshing. Staff was awesome and the there was a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating (waited about 20 minutes on a Thursday evening since it was crowded). If you are in the Beacon Hill area, I highly recommend coming to grab some food and drinks at perihelion brewery. I don't think they have a happy hour, but I would check just in case I'm wrong. They are open from Wednesday to Sunday, and parking in the neighborhood can be difficult in the late afternoons/evenings. There is quite a bit of seating outside and inside. The nice thing about the outside seats is that there are some tables with fire pits, so if you're in a group of three or more, you usually get priority because those tables are larger. They are also very dog friendly, and you'll see many dogs on the patio so feel free to bring your canine friend! I highly recommend trying their bacon burger, which comes with Beechers cheese! They have a huge variety of beers to choose from, as well as some siders and hard kombucha. I recommend trying their saisons, which are delicious, especially the Icarus Saison. They do rotate some of their beers on tap, so hopefully it'll be available when you check them out. For foods to share, I would recommend either the nachos with chicken or getting half-and-half of their regular and sweet potato fries. Make sure to try all the sauces that come out. What a great brewpub in the Beacon Hill district. Always a good indicator, a place is a good choice, when it's hopping on a late rainy afternoon. Service was phenomenal, Dominique and the whole staff were on it, checking in regularly to see how everything was, quick to take orders, and never a empty glass. The old brick building and interior reminds me of E.J. Phair's in Pittsburg, Cali, similar fun and bustling atmosphere. After much deliberation over the food menu, I started off with the blistered green beans and a Mango Saison. The blistered green beans were delicious with or without the lemon ginger aioli dip, adding another favorite to my appetizer list. The mango saison was good, maybe a little more mango flavor needed, but a good flavorful saison, still. I also ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich, which also came out quickly, great service on a busy Saturday afternoon. The brisket was melt in your mouth tender with a tasty saucy house made bbq sauce and horseradish slaw (just the right amount of horseradish) juicy, delicious, and messy.. perfect for a bbq sando! It also comes with a side of house made pickled veggies.. so good. Great bbq comfort food on a cool rainy afternoon. Along with the Sandwich I had their Betelgeuse Red Ale ( gotta love those reds!) it was a perfect addition to the bbq meal, flavorful and malty. This is the first brewery I've been to here in the greater Seattle area. I gotta say I wasn't disappointed. The service here is A+, food is A+, beers are yummy and there is a great variety of them. First braggot ( cherry braggot $7) I've had here. A little bit of sweet honey Mead with hefty bit of beer = sweet goodness. Plus as a humongous fan of Belgian beers, I had pour of the Quasar Belgian Tripel($6) which drank like a session and hit like a Tripel at 8.8%. My buddy who pointed me to this place actually raved about the food, so naturally I had to get some eats. I ordered, dry rubbed chicken wings ($11) not as spicy as I thought for a jerk rub but nonetheless, flavorful and meaty. Plus, we ordered a appetizer of brussel sprouts ($8), perfectly roasted and seasoned, grilled cheese sandwich ($9) with chicken ($3.5) a bit pricey, but worth it with the high quality ingredients. I also had a bite of the Blue Cheese truffle burger ($12), which was decent, but I must have just had the outside part because it was bit dry. Last but not least, the roasted bone marrow ($12). All the fatty goodness spread over carba, what can go wrong? The kicker was our waitress who noticed our little ones (19 mths, and 4 mths) and brought over some toys to help ease our tension. I first ordered an IPA, and like my bestie said, it was flat. It was also not as hoppy as I had hoped, which was disappointing since I asked the employee to give me a pint of the hoppiest beer. For someone who loves IPAs, this was not a memorable one. But instead of getting another IPA here, I ended up trying a beer made with beets, which I liked a lot better. It's hit and miss here with the beers, but the food was better. My bestie ordered a bleu cheese burger with pork belly and I ordered truffle fries. If you love truffle, these burger and fries are worth trying. My bestie said his burger was one of the best he's ever had! My truffle fries were addictingly-good. I love truffle, so there was an abundance of truffle flavor with these fries, and they were crunchy. The food is elevated from your typical bar food, so would definitely come back for a meal. All in all, this is my favorite place for a beer, even though it's a brewery. But I will say that the chill, laid-back atmosphere is cool, which feels very much like a neighborhood bar. Had wanted to try this place for years and they did not disappoint! The restaurant was busy but still able to immediately seat us outside on a Friday evening. Multiple people checked on us through out the time we were there in a very friendly (not overbearing) and helpful way. We've had a decent amount of negative experiences where we weren't treated very well because we weren't ordering drinks/wine and this absolutely was not the case. Food was quick and delicious! Definitely get the fries with their bone marrow aioli- it's to die for. I also got a brownie to-go and it was exactly how I want a home made brownie to be: dense and moist.
