The place has an industrial feel with exposed bricks with ample seating. No reservations required. We took our 7 year old with us. Trivia night was fun! OVERALL: 8.7/10 (Yelp converted score: 4/5) This place is in an interesting location in Capitol Hill - it's not really "downtown", but it's not really in the "middle of everything" either; it's in a nice middle ground, which is hard to find these days, with all of the construction that's been happening in Seattle. 1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 9.5/10. It's **very** cool to me that there are different beers available at the back versus front bar. You get motivation to walk around the full venue, rather than just turtling in one area and never bothering to try to explore the other areas. It's somewhat frustrating that the difference in menu between back and front taps are not well-advertised. Yes, the more adventurous folks will wander and find out themselves, but for those that don't... they'll make the assumption that the bars on either end of the venue serve identical drinks. 2) FRESHNESS: 9/10. Plus, bonus factoid: I love the fact that this place is transparent with "what beer is brewing in the barrels to be released next"; I can't be any more excited for the stout that's been brewing in a barrel that was originally used to distill rye whiskey! 3) VALUE FOR MONEY: 9/10. The beer pints are reasonably priced, and the food is generally well-priced for the portion size & quality (it's a brewlab - don't expect Michelin-star food). 4) SERVICE: 9.5/10. In a similar fashion to Flatstick Pub (which you should try because *that place is **SICK!***), the tab you open at one of the bars can be added to at either bar, and closed out whenever you're done. It's nifty to be able to choose *when* to close out because I was watching the football game with some friends and kept wanting to order something to either munch on or drink, but I didn't want to keep having to fumble with credit cards / cash; this definitely saved a lot of time. 5) CONSISTENCY / FIRST IMPRESSION: 6.5/10. However, his water didn't work so I ended up order an OLD FASHIONED. OLD FASHIONED - $14 Woodenville double barrel whiskey, orange, maraschino cherry, angastora bitters, simple syrup. This old fashioned looked weird, and probably because it was not served over a huge single ice cube, which made the drink look like a single pour of liquor. It tasted fine. Just sad I didn't get a Hot Toddy. MAC & CHEESE - $10 Classic elbow pasta, Cheddar, Mozzarella and Parmesan mixed together with their beer cheese. Topped with breadcrumbs and baked until browned bubbly. Oh yeah it was very good and creamy/cheesy! Eat fast because it also gets cold fast if you're sitting outside! Easily shareable. SUPREME PIZZA - $18.50 Statistically the best pizza (the menu said it not me). It has their 5 nost popular toppings: pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, red onion, mushrooms. Pretty pricey for a smallish pizza that reminds me something from the frozen section. I guess if you were to compare it to the plain cheese pizza ($10) but they do itemize each topping. I might as well build my own pizza. This place is lovely thang out and I wish I was comfortable enough ti sit indoors where its super nice and cozy and get to enjoy the gorgeous mural. There's also seating in the back which may have been warmer with all the residential walls. I'm surprised this place has no outdoor heating lamps. Good luck figuring out the hours here, the hours posted on the door, online, and on their voicemail are all different. They also do not answer the phone when they are not open. We went two different times when they were supposed to be open and they were closed. On our THIRD attempt, we finally lucked out and they were open. After we finally got in, we had a great experience. You can get pints, tall cans ($4.50) cocktails, slushees, and pretty much anything else you want to drink. There are a ton of beer choices and everything I tried was excellent. They have rotating taps and beers for all palates, so I'm sure you will find something you like. They also have cool merch, I actually picked up a T shirt. There is all sorts of indoor seating and TVs with sports. There is outdoor seating in front and in back. The music out front was way too loud in my opinion. It was nice to have some music in the background (even though the genre wasn't my cup of tea) but it was just too loud. I noticed other people there comment on the same thing. There is a pizza shop that shares the space that you can order and eat from as well, but we did not partake. The guys taking orders and serving beers were nice and efficient and the manager on duty was a nice guy and had a cool vibe. I would definitely go back if I return to Seattle. Meter parking in surrounding area is affordable. Sunday, meters are free. I'm not sure why they are not open for longer hours. It is a prime location, a well known beer and a great setting. Went here with a group of 7 friends at around 7:30 and we were seated immediately at a table outside. I got the Paloma and the Buffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich (came with side of fries). I've never tried a Paloma before but it was really yummy. I don't really enjoy strong alcohol but I enjoyed the nice balance of flavors in this drink. Food was also pretty solid, not extremely astounding or amazingly good. The waiter also mixed up one of our orders with someone else's so my friend had to wait a long time for his burger. They have a very different style of Pizzas. The flavors are a bit Japanese cuisine oriented which makes these Pizzas interesting. If you are a fan of Detroit Pizza, then this place a must visit. Beers are amazing too. They also have an underground parking which we found by chance. A cute, spacious brewery located in the heart of Cap Hill -- they have a big outdoor patio and a fair amount of seating inside too. It tends to get pretty busy but I've gone here in small and large groups and was able to find a table that works both times! The bartenders are super sweet and make great recommendations, and the even volunteered to take a photo of our group when we were clearly struggling -- a positive vibe all around! They have a solid selection of beers and all of the classic pub food -- would highly recommend getting their fries to share! Came here with a couple of friends on a Saturday around 11pm, near closing time. There was a good amount of people inside, and plenty of seating. Theres 2 bar areas in the brewery: 1 in the front with beers and 1 in the back for the hard liquor and cocktails. I was able to open a tab at the front bar to order beers, and then go to the back bar to order a gin & tonic under the same tab. For my drink, I had Redhook's Humulus Unum Cashmere, a New England style IPA. It was a really juicy, light and delicious beer. I wanted a second one, but by the time I finished it, the brewery had already started cleaning and closing their taps. The atmosphere here was really chill with EDM (Flume and Jai Wolf) playing in the background at a low volume. Easy to hang out and catch up with my friend whom I haven't talked to in a while because the music isn't blasting. Had a good time here, and would come back to get more beers and try some of the food on the menu. read more

We came for the winter whiskey warmer which was an event put on with Woodinville Whiskey Company that had bourbon and beer pairings for $15. My friend really wanted to check it out so we stopped by. It's a large place with different sections. There's a part in the front of the place and a smaller section in the back. They have some bar areas as well as TVs playing sports games. There's an outdoor section which I'm sure is great during the hotter days. They also have happy hour Monday through Friday 3-6pm. I ordered the just the wurst ($14) which was decent. I'm not the biggest fan of beers but I like IPAs so I ordered the grapefruit brisk IPA ($7.75) which was pretty good. They also serve cocktails here but I wanted to take advantage of their check-in offer. If you check in on Yelp you get $2 for your first pint. It's a nice way to get the night started! read more

The vibe is very laid back and the service is fast and friendly, though the place gets quite loud when crowded. Order food and drinks at either of the two bars. I got the Procrastinating Brit (a great light beer if you don't generally like beer), Hawaiian pizza, and pretzel with cheese sauce. It was more than plenty of food for two people, and only cost us about $15 a piece which is a steal. The food was fresh and tasted great, though they could really be more generous with the amount of pizza toppings. Barely half of the slices even had pineapple on them unfortunately. I'm sorry, when did breweries become more expensive than bars? It's like a joke. They're these big ugly places with terrible decor and usually some stinky vats and willy wonka copper tubes where they supposedly make the beer? If they're serving their own beer in house why is it more expensive than a bar across the street that actually has tasteful decor, atmosphere and heart? Better yet there's a qfc 2 blocks away where you can get a 6 pack of the same exact beer from the same company for the same price as a single glass. Redhook is like, the cheapest kind of nice beer, so how is it the most expensive beer on the block here? Is the entire draw that they're easier for large parties? Why else would you come here? I was at a museum gala the other night and they were serving the same beer for $3 LESS per glass... A MUSEUM GALA... nearly half the price? I kid you not. Unfortunately, I would never go back. The entire "brew Lab" is ridiculously expensive with terrible mismatched modern Irish pub/ steampunk/ Japanese pop up / brewery decor. The staff was nice but nothing special. The food is just okay and overpriced as well.
