Hubby had the chicken sandwich which was "tasty" while I had the taproom burger which was nice and not too big. The Russian dressing is off the chain and perfect for the shoestring fries. The Evan Williams 'Bourbon & Butterscotch' ice cream was thick and creamy. Amble outdoor seating offers both covered seating with levered ceiling, as well as outdoor fire pits perfect for summer seating. There was a family with young children who were happy in their own corner of the patio. I spotted the outdoor screens for sports coverage. And, they're dog friendly! Phenomenal experience. The beers, food and atmosphere was just all around perfect. My buddy is from WA state and I was surprised to hear it was the best fish and chips he's ever had. I can attest as I had the fish sando and that was life changing. Perfectly cooked. The crisp really stood out on the breading and the jalepeno aioli tied everything together. Got some good beers from this local brewery in North Queen Anne. It has a kind of hard to get to location but it's certainly worth finding it. Rooftop is located next to a shipping canal so there's not just car traffic but also boat traffic. A small tap list but still has variety to choose from. They have more than just the IPAs that are too common it seems. Best thing about it are the beers of course. It's also got a nice inside bar as well as outside. The outside seating is of course on the rooftop. A kind of limited amount of beers on tap but they still manage to have quite a few. It's about $7 a pint. Best one we had the last time was the Tropical Staycation IPA. This has notes of citrus and mango. It's about $1 for a bag of Tim's Potato Chips. The food is pretty limited, but you can bring in things. Have to make an update about this business. It's temporarily closed. There was a big fire in the place next to it and things were damaged badly, so the taproom isn't currently open, though you can find the stuff at other bars and wherever. read more

I've passed by this spot many times and finally decided to stop in -- what a pleasant surprise! From the outside it looks small, but once inside there's plenty of space with both shaded and open seating options. The atmosphere feels relaxed and welcoming, perfect for hanging out with friends or bringing your dog along. The staff were friendly and attentive, and ordering through the QR system was super easy. The beer selection was impressive -- everything we tried was fresh and well-balanced. The food setup outside was great too, making it easy to grab something tasty while enjoying a pint. Even though it's close to a busy street, it still feels like a cozy retreat. It's definitely one of those places that make you want to stay a bit longer than planned. Cute little place that I've drive by a million times. Looks like a small piece of land right next to a busy street but once you go inside it's pretty spacious with lots of seating. Dog friendly. Covered seating as well as open seating. Not really a view of the water but it was still nice. Beers were solid - we got the Mexican lager. Smash burger is always out front. My favorite brewery in Seattle hands down. It's a bit a of a drive for me, but well worth the effort of going. All of their beer is really good, though my favorites are the Makeda Porter, Trick or Treat Yo Self (Fall Seasonal), and Up on the Rooftop (Winter Seasonal). All the people are super friendly, the seating is great, and the vibe is always chill. The food trucks rotate, but have all been pretty good. read more

For several years rooftop is my favorite go to place got afternoon fresh hoppy beer with friends and families. In hopes season they bring in fresh hops from east of the cascade range and craft brews. Staff is amazingly and service is even better. Brewery tour, in the lower floor with then brew master Kyle was informative and educational. Rooftop has adapted well with new normal due to pandemic with proper safety protocols. Added additional covered seating in front where parking used to be. They had an impeachment beer during earlier times. Are you going to come up with impeachment 2 beer? Lately I have been enjoying hoppy IPA growlers as well. read more

One of my new favorite breweries for SURE. We were going to go to Fremont Brewery originally but the waitlist was way too long and I am so surprised this place wasn't super crowded on a Saturday. The place feels very quaint and has great seating arrangements, socially distanced from others around us. Located between Interbay and Queen Anne, we found this awesome brewery where we played games, cornhole and hung out in the sun. Very cool place with yummy beers. It's on the smaller side and we couldn't even make it outside to the covered patio area because it was so packed. So we went to the front that's not covered & found some comfy chairs to sit in. It was crowded and a couple of the customers there got really rowdy and got kicked out. Not everyone was friendly here (customers not workers) so maybe this happens often? Seemed like more of a neighborhood place where there's regulars who keep to themselves in comparison to other breweries we stopped at in Seattle. But where we sat there was a group of people playing bags and they all seemed pretty friendly. This is a fun brewery because of the atmosphere. It's near the Ballard bridge, and they have outdoor seating, so especially on a sunny day, it's an easy hang. The "rooftop" is actually ground level because they have a lower level underground. They have a varied selection from lager to IPA to dark to cider to wine so everybody should be able to find at least one option if not more. If you're a driver, they have like literally 3 parking spots. There's a garden place next door with a bunch of spots, but according to signs, they don't share. Street parking is not much of an option unless you go to neighboring blocks and walk. read more

Amazing, small, tiny and friendly place to hang out. Along with delicious beers they have amazing freshly made popcorns. It tastes out of the world. My favorite beer is Gateway Hazy Pale. They also have food truck onsite. When I first decided to go this place, I imagined this brewery to be on the top floor of some high raise building. Haha. That's not the case though, it's still a roof top but it's just like 10-20 feet high maybe. You get the view of water canal at about 100 meters if you are sitting in the back corner of their patio. The patio is lovely. Sunsets are beautiful. They turn on heaters in winter. And yeah they are dog friendly. They close at 10 pm me even during summers. I'm kinda late night person, so I wish they could remain open at until 11 pm. That would have been great. I didn't enjoy the food from the onsite food truck. I usually eat elsewhere and then come here to hangout with friends. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Rooftop and their staff. They've embraced COVID culture and made a safe, outdoor, yet still communal space for patrons to enjoy their amazing beer. They offer a wonderful range of beers, all incredibly drinkable despite the variety of flavor profiles. They always have a food truck available, but you're also allowed to bring your own food. Lastly, they are SO dog-friendly to well-behaved pooches. We brought our dog tonight, and his leash accidentally caught both of our beers, knocking them over. Without so much as a question, their amazing employee brought two, new beers over. This is a local business you should absolutely support! Cool patio brewery in upper Queen Anne. I met a friend for a beer yesterday and the brewery had a super relaxed vibe. Loved the amount of shaded seating available considering this spot is outdoor seating online. They had a good tap list. They also have a food truck on site. Overall, we had a nice experience and I think a Happy Hour or better food options could make this spot even better! Definitely worth visiting if you're a brewery fan. read more

This place is great! I came here for an event and got a tour along the way. I sampled several beers during the tour, all which were delicious. After the tour we sat on the patio/rooftop which was fun. It's dog friendly and they have free self serve popcorn and water on tap. There was a delicious food truck out front that brought our food in when it was ready. I tried the stargazer IPA by recommendation of the bartender. I like IPA's but I'm not a huge fan. That being said, this one was amazing! This is a cool hang out if you're in the area or live nearby. I'm giving 4 stars over 5 because I was hoping that the rooftop would provide a view of the bay or city but you don't get either. Matt is a great businessman, bartender, and host--he gave me a tour of their venue spaces, talked me through which one was appropriate for a party of this size, and personally tended bar himself, and did so with humor, grace, and patience. Cool spot with some delicious beers. I went to Rooftop Brewing Company this past Saturday with some friends. They have some indoor seating, and three different patios with various amounts of covering on them. It was that one day that it got to 80 degrees so it was HOT. We sat in the uncovered patio because that is all that was available. This brewery is on the main road, but doesn't feel too crazy because there is really nothing else in the area, which is nice. I got the Stargazer Red IPA and Gateway Hazy Pale. I really enjoyed both, and they have some great options for beers for every palate. Would definitely come back here in the future! read more

I have been to Rooftop Brewing Company once before. They were at a different location when I first tried them. I enjoyed their beer then and I enjoyed my visit to their new location too! At Rooftop Brewing I tried two of their beers which proved to be very enjoyable! I had their Gateway Dry-Hopped Ale which was very tasty! it wasn't too bitter like sometimes you come across with Pale Ales and was highly enjoyable! Next up I tried the Stargazer IPA, which contained up to five different hops. This IPA was a bit darker than many IPA's but I enjoyed immensely! Outside of Rooftop Brewing they had a food truck. At the time the food truck was Napkin Friends which was a food truck that I wanted to try for quite some time! I believe however that different food trucks switch out here. I read a few other reviews and from other Yelper's experiences they had a Vietnamese food truck there the time they were there so that makes for a good variety of different food options whenever you stop by here for a cold one and decide that you want something to eat! read more

I am not sure how they squeeze everyone in during the cold rainy months. They are dog-friendly, have a rotating schedule of food trucks, and free popcorn to snack on. The staff was incredibly friendly, and they had several interesting brews on tap, and local ciders to select from. They even had juice boxes for those in your party who don't drink! My friend Jerry loved that. We ordered some tasters of the beers they had on tap to get a sampling of what they had to offer. Their beers were all decent to pretty good. Great beer, great service, and a great place to hang out. It's both dog and child friendly, and there are always a lot of both. Take that information as you will. They recently put extra patio space out front with a little fireplace and cornhole game setup. They always have a variety of beers on tap. I'm there every other week or so and the taplist is always different. Their Belgan Tripel and all their IPAs are exceptional. Plus they pair nicely with the free popcorn they serve! 5 stars for facility - 2 stars for beer - 2 stars for atmosphere. Love the outdoor rooftop area and the whole set-up. The beer was disappointing. Great sounding options but ended up reminding me of home brew beer. ESB still smelled and tasted like wort (wrong yeast or not enough time in barrel) pale ale was flat. I will say this was very early and they said they were dialing things in so we will give it another try. I am not going to debate the "bring your 2 year old to the brewery" phenomenon that is sweeping Frelard (you are one of 2 kinds of people in this world) but this place is one that becomes a 'mommy and me' meet up on the weekend. That either appeals to you or not. Maybe give it until September to get the beer right and stick to weekday happy hours. read more

I went here over the weekend after hearing about it a few times. The place: mostly outside, rooftop brewing is the absolute perfect place to enjoy a cool beer during the summer. They've got cards if you want to play a game, great beer, and a very knowledgeable staff. The breeze you get up on the roof is perfect for summer in Seattle when you're trying to escape the heat but you're also trying to have some beer and also trying to bring your dog. Very dog friendly! Beer selection: they've got a handful of great beers on tap and offer a flight option which rocks if you want to try a bit of everything! I personally loved their rosè cider (call me basic if you must). Their holiday ale was also quite good and tasted a bit like mead to me. Overall, would highly recommend this place and am still jealous of the cool tank one of the servers had on because the lettering was all sparkles. He mentioned if there was enough interest in the sparkle tanks that they might start to sell those in edition to the non sparkly merch they already offer. The only downside is that they also allow kids here. This is highly subjective, some people like to bring their kids, but overall the kids that were in attendance when I visited were loud and kinda killed the vibe for me. read more
