    Bike parking outside!
    Erica W.

One of my favorite breweries in Seattle! So thrilled with the Shilshole location opening and the close proximity to the Burke Gilman bike trail. Thanks to the new location I was able to get several visits in to Cloudburst! Their beers are delicious, hazy and so fresh! The tap list always delivers, especially if you are an IPA lover like me! My husband and I split schooners, so we are able to try everything on tap!! On location they have a great food truck, which is always appreciated in a day drinking session! The majority of the tables are outside, pretty much covered and even have heaters. Every season is enjoyable, but Summertime is my favorite time to visit the taproom. Parking is always a challenge, so I love to go there during the spring and summer when I can ride my bike. I love Cloudburst beer! Seattle staple!

A cute brewery nestled right into the heart of Ballard -- it's very unassuming from the outside, but the space itself it so cute once you head inside! I'm generally a big fan of Cloudburst Brewing and was excited to stop by for a chill Sunday afternoon. They have a cute outdoor patio with tons of tables and a bar inside -- the menu is fairly limited, but I do like a lot of their beers on tap. They're such an unpretentious spot and really loved the pale ales they had here. They have a food truck, with lots of small bites -- I got the 'special treat' and highly recommend. I'll be back soon!

    Always love the Cloudburst logo!

I love this second location that opened up for Cloudburst Brewing! I went to the original location several times and always loved the beer I got there. So this other location definitely holds up. I don't know if I would say parking is easier... because I really felt like it wasn't but I knew it was worth walking for! I had two Cloudburst beers at this brewery. One was the Timbo Pilsner which was fantastic! I always loved their pilsners! The second one was a type of beer style I didn't often come across.. a Kellerbier by the name of Entshuldigung. Definitely different(but fantastic)but like all my Cloudburst Brewing visits the beer here has never disappointed me!

Came here for a couple drinks and a quick snack before dinner and we were not disappointed It was a little cold out so we were so relieved when we showed up to not only no crowd, but also heatlamps overhead to keep us nice and toasty As a fan of hazy IPAs, I tried the Take a Look IPA for m first pour...and my second I also tasted the Chunderdome IPA and although tasty, still preferred the juiciness of the Take a Look - heavy rec As per usual when enjoying good drinks with good company, our dinner reservation came sooner than expected and didn't have a chance to try more I'll definitely be back to test the other taps - cheers, Cloudburst!

I've always meant to spend more time at Cloudburst but the location of the downtown spot is not convenient for me. I think I made it once quite awhile ago. Ballard is much easier to access and provides for better brewery hopping, even better you can often score free parking. I came across this location accidentally when driving around the area. I think it was shortly before I finished the Ballard Brewery Passport, I hadn't even heard it was here and I feel like I do a decent job of keeping up on local brewery news. Since it's not on the passport it feels even more like a well kept secret. I had hoped that this location had an indoor seating area I might be able to take advantage of Phase 2, but did not find this to be the case. The outdoor area is smaller than many in the area which makes me it feel more intimate and like a better place to spend a lazy afternoon. The small size does make it seem like reservations are often required. The hostess made us feel like we may not have been able to get a table at 1:15 pm on a Friday in the future if we do not plan ahead. The outdoor area did appear to have a fair amount of options for outdoor heat, but these were not turned on during our visit. It was dry out, but most areas appeared to be covered. Like most breweries these days they are using a QR system to share their menus. The QR menu did not provide as much details as actually going to look at the board behind the counter and appeared to have a few different options. I appreciate that one of their posted covid rules is that they are not currently allowing children, it just seems so odd to me that people would choose to bring their children to a brewery in a pandemic but to each their own. In the future do be aware that they have a bathroom stall consisting of a toilet and a changing table (also one that is just a toilet and one that is just a urinal). There's probably a lot more hand washing going on with the bathroom sinks in an area visible to more people. My beers were tasty. There were a lot of IPAs on the menu. Most were around 6 or 7$. They had a few doubles and triples. I look forward to trying the food truck on my next visit. Plenty of clouds has a silky chickpea curd I am dying to try and is the regular food truck for this brewery.

Cool spot with a food truck and plenty of options. The rotating IPA (hazy and wet hopped) is super solid. Staff are awesome, too!

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

Parking can be a challenge depending on when you visit, but we were fortunate to find a spot right behind the brewery. We were greeted and seated immediately, and our orders were taken quickly. We also shared an order of truffle fries, which were a great snack to go along with the drinks. An added bonus is that the entire restaurant is gluten-free, which is a huge plus for those with dietary restrictions or sensitivities. Pricing felt fair, the service was excellent, and overall it was an enjoyable stop. I'd happily return to try more of their beers in the future.

They are kid and dog-friendly, too. We ordered an NA IPA (which they have on tap!) and their hop water (comes in a can). Both beverages were absolutely delicious. There is a food truck on site, but it was closed when we visited. No worries, though, you can bring outside food, which is perfect since there are plenty of great restaurants in the area. I asked the bartender if they brew at this location, and he said they've moved all brewing to a different location in Seattle, but it's still super fresh and tasty beer all around. The building looked open and inviting, especially the back patio surrounded by flower bushes, so we stopped here for a beer. The space is so pleasant, both inside and out. Big windows, high ceiling, and then outside were tables with little fire pits- we sat at one of those but didn't need the fire since it was daytime and quite warm out! The beer menu has some unique choices, two of which we picked. My husband asked if the roasted pepper IPA was more like a roasted bell pepper or hot pepper, and the server said she felt it was more of a spicy pepper. She said she could offer him a taste to try it first, but my husband basically said, "Nah, I'll just go all in!" ... no regrets- he really enjoyed it! I was intrigued by the orange blossom honey braggot... I had no idea what braggot was. The server said it was something like a cross between a beer and mead. SOLD! Immediately ordered that thang. Ohhh it was delicious!! We simply stopped for one beer each and it was a shorter visit, but we really enjoyed our time. My only complaints are that the beer is on the pricier side, and there was something like a 20% automatic service charge (it was stated on a sign at the table so it wasn't a surprise). Although, I've been seeing that the owner from Perihelion has been responding to reviews here stating that due to complaints about this charge, they have gone back to normal tipping. If so, I think it's great that they listened to their customers. They may want to update their website to communicate that same message as well. I don't come to Beacon Hill often, but if I'm ever in the area, I will definitely return to Perihelion and maybe even try some of their food!
