This is a brewery that has Japanese food vendors in the back which is nice. Friendly staff and good selection of beers and a couple of ciders. We ordered ramen (forgot to take pictures) which was tasty. It got a bit noisy with when a big group came in but average noise. This is a place we enjoy coming to. read more

There's plenty of street parking around, but you might need to circle around or go a bit further to find an open spot. This place is a bit different, they have a bar in the front, and Midnite Ramen in the back. You order in the kiosk in the back, and you'll get a text on your phone when the order is done. It's very much all self-service. We got the Elmer's Midday Lager and it was pretty good. Worth a try if you are into rice lagers, and even if you aren't. From the Midnite Ramen, we ordered 2 kid ramens the Sapporo Miso, Kuamamoto Miso Bold, and a Zangi. I thought the Zangi was pretty good value and tasted pretty good too. Crispy and nicely seasoned. However, the ramen, which was suppose to be the highlight was a little bit of a disappointment for the price. The Kid Ramen was literally just basically soup with noodles, nothing else. We got two bowls for the kids, and they maybe ate half a bowl because, well, it's just soup and noodles, and they didn't like the taste of the noodles. The "Adult" ramens on the other hand was just ok, nothing out of this world. My main complaint though was that each bowl came with two tiny slices of meat. For close to $20, I would expect there to be a bit more protein. Honestly a pretty big let down of what you get for the price you paid. If I come back again, I'm steering far away from ramen and just going straight for the Zangi and Gyoza. read more

Doing a little Brew/bar hopping with my buddy, we stopped in here just for drinks. Figurehead is amongst a lot of new restaurants and businesses opening up along with the many apartment buildings to compliment them. The bartender was friendly and eager to give out pours and samples but not of the IPAs drew me in. I had the Salmon Bay which has a light profile, but perhaps it was a bit too light, more like a mosiac IPA. I also got a Queen Anne's revenge IPA. Her revenge must be to not be a very good beer because it too was a bit stronger but still pretty disappointing among the many IPAs out there. This may be the first brewery in a while where my pours were all around lackluster. I'd consider coming back but with Fremont Brewing just down the street and many other drinking spots, I'm not too sure. I figure Figurehead is still new so many with some time they'll improve their drafts as the menu makes additions and adjustments. read more

I wish they allowed dogs! That's the biggest bummer. I think it's because there's a restaurant inside the brewery. It's a really cool vibe in there. There's two food stalls inside in the back- a ramen and soba stall. In terms of the beers, we really like their Pilsner and is probably one of the best in Seattle! Returned to Figurehead Brewing after quite a bit of time has passed by. This was my first time to the Stone Way location and I liked the beer I ordered very much! It was called Elmer's Midday Lager which is a Japanese Rice Lager. I really like this type of lager a lot and this one is no exception at all. It was an excellent one! Flavors with this awesome light bodied lager are dry, crisp and a toasty aspect to it. This lager is also very effervescent which I can appreciate as well. This is out of all likelihood my favorite beer from this brewery at this point. read more

This is the second location of Figurehead brewing. In comparison to the original Magnolia location, this one is definitely more tech-bro vibes and less families-with-kids plus dock-guy vibes. It's more crowded/louder too, as expected for Wallingford. They have indoor seating plus a smallish, uncovered courtyard. Beer is the same as Magnolia with a lot of European influence. The best part of this location by far is that the Midnite Ramen truck is now permanently located inside! They've also expanded to include some yakitori items read more

The bartender was great. They do check ID for everyone to order so be ready to present it regardless of age or appearance. The vibe is chill and friendly. They also have a nice beer garden I mostly had to myself. There's two food areas in back that rotate days. I tried the sushi and teriyaki place since it was a Monday and it was also pretty good and came in cute bamboo boats. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and I enjoyed my saison too. read more

Beer was great, and the ramen from the cart in the back was absolutely top notch. What really made the difference was the service though. We're from out of town and don't really know anyone and both bartenders were so friendly and made us feel really welcome. I'm not a beer drinker, but my husband is quite enthusiastic about it, and loves Figurehead. We've been going to their location near Fisherman's Terminal for a couple of years and their new location in Fremont is great, too! It's nice to see them expanding! We've also been huge fans of Midnite Ramen for a few years now. They have a permanent kitchen set up in the back. Their ramen is probably some of the best you can get in Seattle. That said, there are a few kinks to work out in the new location. Their ordering system is pretty confusing and orders were VERY backed up the last time we went. If you watched "The Bear", think of that episode in season 1 where the orders kept printing and printing and it was 30 minutes of pure stress. That's how it was in the kitchen the other night. When that gets straightened out, everything at the Fremont location will be darn near perfect. read more

Figurehead Brewery in Queen Anne is probably my favorite brewery in all of Seattle, and I'm thrilled to see it expand into Wallingford! The space is much bigger, with both an indoor and outdoor seating area. And of course, the beer does not disappoint! The cherry on top is the shared space with MY favorite ramen in the city - Midnite Ramen. Located in the back of the brewery, you can find the humble origins of the food truck with the original truck literally parked inside. It brings a tear to my eye to know how the small mom-and-pop ramen truck has evolved to be a part of something bigger - it deserves much more recognition tbh. With such expansion, there are growing pains - it was pretty chaotic to order our ramen, and I'm sure our order got lost (which resulted in a 1.5 hour wait). Paired with the hectic hustle and bustle of Figurehead customers, it was a bit overwhelming. The owners were so apologetic and polite, and despite the chaos, they still managed to serve with a smile on their face. But with a new environment, there's always a need for adjustment, and I'm sure Midnite ramen will bounce back fast. Figurehead brewery has secured my loyalty, and I will be back in no time. read more

Walked to a few breweries/beer gardens/wine places before this and they were a bit too loud, so this was a nice chill spot with cards/board games and free Pokemon cards! Didn't get any food, but I like having a 5 oz option since I only wanted a small drink- got a porter which was nice. Would come back again! read more

It's the end of November. I expect at least one porter or winter ale or an actual stout. The stout was listed as a "tropical" stout. I have no need for a mango or pomegranate stout. Hard pass on name alone. If you meant to say coconut as tropical, then lead with that. The beers I did have: Queen Anne's Revenge (IPA) - I experienced none of the descriptive terms for this beer. Not hoppy, not dank, not an IPA at all. Rock the Spot Hops IPA - More flavor than the QAR, but still light on hops and ABV. This is a session IPA. Very drinkable on a hot day. Discovery Park Pale - Average pale ale. Tugmon's Bolo Vienna Lager - dark copper lager, very tasty, more flavor than the 2 IPAs. Overall, I was disappointed in the beers, the lack of beers over 6%, and the lack of any winter beers. read more

The beer is pretty good but the place feels like a cafeteria. It's uncomfortable for some reason. It's loud on a busy night. The ramen & izakaya food is fantastic however. Come for the quick japanese bites and go next door to Pacific Inn for drinks. I hope they make it cozier because it has the potential to be a cool spot. The place in Magnolia is so much more comfortable. read more
