Ludi's was such a good stop for us while in Seattle. We ordered the stack of ube pancakes and the combo silog. Man those ube pancakes were probably the best pancakes we've ever had lol. I swear I could eat those every single day if I could. The combo silog was awesome too because you get a little bit of everything, so it's perfect if you wanna try multiple Filipino breakfast staples in one plate. The whole place just felt super homey and comforting. Service was exactly what you'd expect visiting a Filipino household: warm, welcoming, and genuine. You really feel taken care of here.

This is my first post as part of the Yelp Elite Squad. My wife and I just took a weekend trip to Seattle (first-time goers) and a few friends told us about Ludi's so that was our first stop after checking into the Marriott. Food: The food was delicious! I had the bistek and garlic fried rice and my wife had the bangus. They also gave us some bibinka and turon to try. Something that they were doing with other patrons which was cool to see. Also very delicious! Service: Staff was very welcoming and attentive. Water was always refilled without having to ask. Awesome. Ambiance: Its a very homey ambiance. Love the look and feel. We WILL definitely come back when we visit Seattle again.

5 of us decided to meet at ludi's for some breakfast @ 0900 on a Friday -- we chose a Friday since they only serve those smackin ube pancakes on da weekends Expect a line cuz, but nothing too crazy. Waited maybe 30min total. Once ya get in, you order before being seated at a table (make sure your entire party is present before getting to the front or no can). We went family style and got a loco moco, side of French toast, stack of ube pancakes, side of beef lumpia, veggie lumpia plate, and combo plate + iced tea/coffees all around. Total after tax + automatic gratuity = $155. Not bad fam! Everything was quick and fresh to come out. No one left hungry yall. We all agreed the star of breakfast = those gd ube pancakes yesssah. Loco moco was aight. It's just always crazy to me how expensive loco moco is when it's legit just rice patty eggs and gravy hahaha iykyk should be $10 max. We were happy w how big a side of French toast was. Beef lumpia over veggie. Combo plate was ok--think I'd rather just get some spam or pordugee sausage or something instead. Anyways, there's something for everyone here! The servers and workers are all supah nice and attentive. Go show some love.

Visiting Seattle for the first time and kept hearing locals say how hard it was to eat here, as they sell out fast. Walked from our hotel here and got there at 6:50 and there was already a line. We were able to look at a menu while we waited and before we knew it, it was our turn. Sweet family run business, you order prior to sitting down with the hostess. They had no more individual seats but they offered us the community table! Best thing ever! Sat down and made friends with some other people visiting Seattle, as well as a kind woman who is related to the owners of Ludi's! Got to enjoy chit chat and then our delicious food came out. Got the long -silog that was absolutely full of flavor! The garlic rice was packed with flavor & I recommend grabbing some of the hot chili sauce and using that to dip the sausage in! So much food for what you get & such great service! If you're in the area, definitely make time to wake up early to grab some breakfast here + sit at the community table!

During my short visit to Seattle, I had to stop for a famous Filipino breakfast at Ludi's! And I am so glad I did. It was a Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM, and I waited about 15 minutes for a table for two. You're expected to order and pay prior to being seated, which is something I prefer, so that whenever you finish your meal, you can just go. Vibe - The vibe was like I was in Tito Greg's (the owner) home in the Philippines. He had pictures and murals of all his past customers. There was also a timeline story of how he started off as a dishwasher, eventually took over the business, and made it his own. Hospitality - I definitely loved the warm hospitality here. It felt like I was walking into Greg's home, for real. He even walked to everyone's table, not only to serve but to get to know you. The front-of-house staff was great, and the food came out relatively quickly--about 5 to 10 minutes after seating. Food - We ordered the lechon kawali--which comes with fried pork belly, eggs, and garlic rice--and the combo-silog, which comes with a fried pork chop, one longanisa, one lumpia, and an Ilocos longanisa. The food was beyond delicious. It was simple home cooking with Filipino dishes executed to perfection. The pork belly was crispy, crunchy, and juicy in every bite. The fried pork chops were lightly breaded and tender. The lumpia was filled with ground beef or pork and packed with Filipino flavors. The sausages were also delectable. It was simple breakfast cooking executed well. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and can see why locals and tourists come here. I'll definitely come back next time to try their famous ube pancakes! It's too bad they only serve them Friday through Sunday. I guess I have no choice but to come back then!

Amazing Filipino breakfast food in the heart of Seattle. We found this place on the last morning of our trip and it did not disappoint. First of all the staff here is incredibly kind, really great customer service and nice vibe. It looks like they always have a line but they have good turnover since service was very quick. You order at the counter before you are seated. They also have a self serve sauce bar and self serve take away packing which makes everything super efficient. We ordered the combination plate and lechon kawali. Both come with garlic rice (amazing) and eggs your way. We were obsessed with the tomato/pico esque side that came with the plate. It definitely elevated the dish. Really big portion size for the crispy pork, and my favorite on the combination plate was the beef lumpia. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique brunch spot!

Just for the record, you will need to wait to eat here, especially during peak times on the weekend. No waitlist or reservations, just stand at the back of the line on the street. I waited 1 hour 20 mins, but it didn't feel that bad. The overall experience was worth it, especially connecting with Tito Greg! He really made it a 5-star experience! We tried the Ube Pancakes, Lechon Kawali, Combo Plate, and Crispy Kare Kare. The dishes come out fast and gives you a homemade comfort food feeling. Just good food, prepared well, and large portions. The star is Tito Greg, who comes around and greets his customers and has genuine conversations with everyone. He mentioned that famous people stop by to dine at his restaurant, but he doesn't really recognize them. One thing that stood out was that he mentioned he treats everyone the same, and you could tell he really loves connecting with his customers! The restaurant is well decorated and has charm and should be an experience that everyone tries at least once in Seattle. However, once you meet Tito Greg, you'll want to visit him regularly! Takeout options are pretty quick, if you're in a rush and don't want to wait in line.

Ludis in Seattle was really good! I got the lechon plate and shared the ube pancakes with my friend. The lechon was amazing--crispy in all the right spots while still tender and soft, and the flavor really came through. My favorite part was honestly the sauce... I don't even know what was in it, but it was so good. The ube pancakes were super soft and fluffy without being soggy at all--just really well done. Everything overall was delish. We did wait about an hour in the cold, but it was honestly worth it for the food and service. They even came out to serve us banana and pork samples while we were waiting, which was a nice touch.

Showed up bright and early at 10AM on a Friday and got seated immediately with a group of 5, but by the time we left there was a decent line out the door. Finally managed to snag one of the daily specials before they sold out on this visit and the service as always is super charming; we already over ordered and the owner dropped a bonus platter of butter mochi that we ended up taking to-go. Oxtail Kare Kare (4.5/5): Pretty soft and I actually quite like that there was a strong beefy flavor. The gravy as a strong garlic flavor and all in all, probably my favorite rice plate option I've tried so far. Ube Pancakes (4.5/5): I genuinely didn't think these could be that good, but they are absolutely a must order. Not too sweet, but really strong ube flavor and just the most satisfying light, fluffy chew; they've got to be using some mix of rice flour for that texture and I would kill for the recipe. Turon (3/5): I think if they were warm, these would be bangers. As is, they unfortunately just eat a bit greasy.

My boyfriend's parents were in town and we came here for brunch right after picking them up from the airport. We had never been, but we always see a line outside so we figured it had to be worth trying. The vibe is really nice and welcoming, and I loved that Tito Greg came around to check on tables. He seems like such a kind person. The food was good and had a cozy, home-cooked feel. My favorites were the longganisa, loco moco, and ube pancakes. Definitely don't skip the lumpia. I don't know if I'd come regularly because of the lines and hours, but I can definitely see myself coming back for takeout when I'm craving it.

Ludi's Restaurant in Seattle offers a welcoming, family atmosphere and is well known for its Filipino-American breakfast and brunch. You'll enjoy hearty servings and warm hospitality in a relaxed setting. The restaurant draws crowds on weekends, so lines are common, but Tito Greg makes the wait easier by giving hot chocolate to people outside. We ordered the Corned Beef-Silog and Combo-Silog, both of which are excellent examples of Filipino comfort food. Always be kind without expectation. - Tito Greg

We decided to try Ludi's on a Tuesday morning. The wait was reasonable, but the waiting area felt cramped, even though there seemed to be additional space the hostess could have directed people to. Ordering at the counter was easy, and we were seated right away at the bar. We started with orange juice and coffee, but our food came out at different times, which was a bit disappointing. I ordered the longanisa breakfast, hard to mess up, and it was tasty, with a generous portion of rice. It also came with a chopped tomato side that looked a bit like pico de gallo, but had a completely different flavor, unique and really good. The French toast was also good, but the loco moco fell flat and lacked flavor and was overcooked. It was pretty disappointing. Overall, the meal was solid, but it didn't stand out compared to other Filipino spots we've tried.

I've heard so much of Ludi's and I've seen the long lines every time I've passed so I definitely knew what I was in for. My friend and I joined the line at around 9:30 and was in line for about a little more than an hour. BUT, as we got closer in the front (I didn't pay attention to the time), Greg came out with a plate of fried spam slices for the folks waiting in line and they were fair sized samples of the food to come! His generosity and considerateness definitely made me appreciate Ludi's more. A small window seat area opened up for a party of 2 so we got to head in earlier (ahead of us were two parties of families). You order at the kiosk near the entrance and I saw that free coffee was offered so we both requested for coffee to be delivered to our table. He also offered us free slices of cake as well. The food came fairly quickly and there was a server walking around double checking water and coffee refills. At each table there was half and half as well as condiments. The ube pancake was amazing-- it's weekend limited so I'm so happy to have gone on a Sunday. The texture isn't too dense and wasn't dry at all. The combo silog was definitely the right choice since we realized we got to try both sausages. The cake slice was also amazing! The cream on top is more firm and tasted pretty classic but the softer cream on the second layer was AMAZING, it melted and dissolved so easily. In fact the entire cake was just so moist. Even if I had to wait in the line again I would!!

There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance.
