Stopped by for breakfast. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant. There's also free street parking right nearby. There's a lot of indoor seating . Staff were super friendly. I ordered the chicken fried steak with home fries. It was super hot and fresh. Excited to see the cleanliness rating was excellent. Would totally come back.

Heard a lot about it and the wait time. Service was not that good. We asked for water without ice and they still gave us and they were not responsive to being asked for anything. I ordered the chorizo burrito and stack of pancake. Food was excellent and that explains why there were a lot of takeout orders because the servers were not very responsive. Also a disclaimer they don't ask for tip and apply a direct 18% tip without asking. The food is not expensive though and prices are very reasonable and a lot in quantity. Recommend takeout and not dine in. The place is not that nice to dine in. Food 5/5 Service 2/5

Great mom & pop cafe on the corner of 79th and Aurora. There are a few dedicated parking spots behind the restaurant off of 79th, as well as spots along 79th. Best to approach southbound on Aurora. (Otherwise, take Linden and turn on 79th.) The menu is typically breakfast/lunch fare: pancakes/french toast, omelets, benedict's, along with sandwiches, burgers and soups. They also offer additional daily specials, and a kids menu. The food is delicious and very well prepared. This is a family owned restaurant and there is always a smile and gratitude for the customers. There is a Mexican grocery store on the other end of the block, offering a multi-purpose adventure!

Food is delicious, easy parking, and affordable prices with great service. We loved this place. Table seating available and friendly server. Mi novio got an omelette, coffee, and orange juice which he said was tasty and he finished his meal. I ordered Chilaquiles con arroz y frijoles y mas salsa y tortillas omgggg sooooo yummy and satisfying. They make good food here and are nice people. Me encantan los chilaquiles y estos eran perfectos!!!! I loveee this place and only have been once but I can't wait to go back! Next time I will get the Huevos Rancheros if I don't get the same thing lol! So excited to return and we agreed the prices were affordable and the menu had great options. Restaurant was clean and bright. Yummy food!!!!

Best breakfast in Green Lake!!! and... It's Affordable!!! Nuff said LOL It's got a Latin flair to their cooking which makes it unique in the Greenlake area. It's got a homey, comfortable vibe and the service is great. I got he chilaquiles and it was awesome. Their salsa verde is other worldly. Check it out!

Nothing like kicking off a new year with a new restaurant. If you're looking for a cozy atmosphere with a neighborhood feel plus considerable portions of food, Sunrise Restaurant meets the criteria. Even with an early morning pickup, the wait was reasonable and the staff friendly. The salmon bendeict was delicious with a slight hint of spice, and a nice mix of spinach and diced tomatoes. Not only did I find the spinach and diced tomatoes rare for a benedict in Seattle, but they also provided 3 poached eggs vs the standard 2. Their English muffin seemed slightly bigger than typical English muffins and softer too, perhaps homemade vs store bought? Either way, it the 2 slices held up well with the eggs. The bacon egg burritto was packed with eggs and bacon. Don't let the size fool you, Sunrise packs the burrito where it has considerable weight to it. Could easily be split between two people, especially if you throw in one of the sides (ex: hashbrowns). The corned beef hash also came with 3 eggs. The hash itself may look like what you'd find with the canned hash, but did not taste like it. Will certainly get it again! Their French toast was well powdered, and the pancakes were incredibly fluffy. Both were a great portion. If you're in the area or considering delivery with DoorDash, I recommend it. Be mindful that the portions are considerable but prices are reasonable. If you're not looking to wait for the reserved parking spots in the back, street parking is also available. Be mindful of any signs/restrictions as Sunrise is near a residential neighborhood. Unintentional bonus: if you're looking for a protetin kick via eggs, Sunrise has you covered.

This cozy neighborhood spot serves up generous portions at affordable prices. The chicken fried steak was a flavorful delight, and my friend greatly enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. The pancakes, however, were on the dry side and nothing to write home about. The service? Absolutely top-notch--attentive, cheerful, and warm. There are a lot of options on the menu including Mexican breakfasts. I'll be trying the chilaquiles next time!

Who puts 3 eggs on a Benedict? Well, they do at Sunrise! It came with 1/2 avocado and has browns, yummy. This item was on the breakfast specials menu, so it might not be available all the time, i dunno. Seating is tables and chairs, no booths, no dessert display (so it's not technically a diner, and that's okay.) Came on a Saturday just afternoon and got a solo table for one, no wait. Everyone on staff was smiling and friendly (#ymmv apparently from other reviews, though my experience was wonderful.)

I would have never gone to this place if it was t for me picking up a package next door, I been to this place five times once back to back days. It not a fancy place or a fancy menu with brioche bread or unpronounceable food, I would call it hearty food, it has been my go to to place when I want breakfast and it comes out pretty quick, you listen for a bell and someone order is up. I'm working my around the menu but no Denver omelette for me I haven't meet one that I like, ll let you know when I go to Denver.

There's 3 reserved parking spots in the back which is nice. Upon entering, there's no real check in - the staff just "remembers" who's in line which may not work out when there's a big line. The food was very solid and worth the price. Honestly, it's as good or better than breakfast joints in the area. The only thing that wasn't good was the service. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or taking too many orders (Uber/Doordash, take out, in house) because it took 30+ minutes to get our food which was just two entrees.

The service was great as soon as we came in! Lovely ladies with infectious smiles. It was quiet in there as the only other people left as we came in. We brought our 15 month old in and they were so patient. The ambiance was really quaint and clean! The food was EXCELLENT. Probably the most perfectly cooked hash browns I've ever had. The price is amazing! Amazing food + price is hard to find in Seattle. I had the salmon Benedict and the size was surprisingly large. My husband has the short stack and the pancakes were also perfectly cooked all the way through. We'll definitely be back!

Simple dinner with probably 8 tables, clean, great and fast service. Food is ok, traditional American dishes and some options influenced by Latin cuisine. Fresh quality ingredients and very well cooked. Prices are reasonable, well for the area I would say cheap, and the serving portions are large. If you are in the area, it is a great place to grab breakfast or lunch.

starting off, i was pleasantly surprised by the portion of sourdough bread given prior to the meal…read more- as I wasn't expecting that the bread wasn't anything special - but i did like the outside; found it to be pretty crispy. also, i liked the fact that they gave you butter as a dip, although it wasn't easy to spread it on the sourdough as it was just one big block i thought the main part of this dish, the salmon sliders, were quite good, however this came in three separate 'sliders', each with a base of rosemary bread, a sliced tomato, and a portion of salmon, topped with pesto the actual salmon itself was ok - personally i thought it was a bit stringy and chewy, but otherwise not bad. being brushed with oil certainly helped with the taste however, the other aspects of the slider were fantastic normally, i don't like tomatoes, but it fit really well with this dish. the flavor was there but not overpowering i also quite liked the pesto as a condiment - there was a solid amount on there - and it added a nutty texture that was good the best part of these sliders, however, was the rosemary bread. this was exquisitely good - it was crispy, herby, buttery, and served as an incredible base for the sandwich as a whole. i absolutely loved every bite of this the other thing that was a great touch was placing the sliders on the bottom of the bread rather than the 'more fluffy' side. this ensured that the bread wouldn't get soggy from the tomato/salmon and had it retain its crunchiness to the maximum three sliders was also a pretty good portion size another thing i enjoyed was the salad. a lot of places think that lots of dressing, often oil, is necessary to make a good salad, but this place managed to deliver something that tasted really good and had nice flavor with the use of little to no dressing. i'm impressed at the end of my meal, i got a carrot cake from the dessert menu this was decently sized, and the cream cheese frosting on this had a wonderful flavor i didn't taste the carrot as much in the inside of the cake, but i could tell it was still baked well, and the frosting added a great touch i would say its more of a cupcake than a cake, however i came during happy hour, so for the price of about $14, the sourdough bread + the salmon sliders were a pretty good value i can't say the same for the carrot cake - as while it was good - about 9 dollars is a little too expensive for that

The next time I was here, I made sure to get here incredibly early to get the lamb neck korma pie…read more I made a reservation at 5:30 to guarantee it. Based on availability, I probably could've walked in around an hour later and been fine, but didn't want to risk it since they only make like 30 in a day. To my great surprise, the dish came out just a couple minutes after ordering. It seems like the pie is already pre-made and they just pour korma over the top before serving. The server assured me that one would be for one person, so we each got one. From the moment it's presented, this looks like nothing you've seen before. The colors of the beige korma washing over the sturdy brown pastry is just a visually striking image. What's even crazier is there's so much that's obscured by this initial plating - things that you find out as you dig into the dish. After the first layer of pastry, the dish descends into a massive layer of lamb neck meat. And when I say massive, I mean the meat is so densely packed together into this pie you're left wondering how they fit so much into what's not a big shell diameter-wise. So, how is everything? It's amazingly good, at least for the first 3/4ths of the meal. I have to start with the pie crust, or the pastry shell, which is just perfect. The way it retains its shape, refusing to break down until real pressure is applied, is ridiculous. The texture is incredibly sturdy, and the taste is phenomenal. No matter what was placed inside this crust I would still enjoy it. It's crunchy, buttery, the inside wall is flaky, and the absolute highlight here. The korma is also very good. While certainly a westernized version of the sauce, lacking any spiciness and turning way more on the sweet side, it's still got enough flavor to be a great complement to the main pie. I do think a more acidic and spicy would've help offset the fattiness of the center item, but this sauce was still delicious on its own. Lastly, the lamb neck was great. Super fatty, of course, but braised to perfection, resulting in meat that's tender and melt in your mouth. Like I mentioned, there's an insane portion of meat here. Of course, this is all great until about 2/3 to 3/4th through the pie, where you begin to really feel the effects of an insane overload of fat. I can eat a lot of food, but this really started to wear on me. Here's where I have some slight issues - I think a) the inability to counteract the fat present and b) the amount of lamb neck needs to be toned down a bit, as ironic as asking for less meat might sound. One might have the attitude that if they're paying so much, might as well give them the most meat possible - but in my opinion, the best dishes are truly about balance. And when you can't expect someone to eat a dish and feel good about it afterwards, that's not the hallmark of a great dish. This could've been avoided if the server had mentioned that one pie could be split between two people, but that's not what she recommended. This resulted both me and my companion not finishing the meal, which I absolutely hate to do, but I was left with no choice in this case. The other part is the price. Each pie cost $50 each, which is a significant amount. Additionally, there was a 22% automatic tip even for a party of two, which is just way too high. The server didn't even tell us about this automatic tip which resulted in unintentionally tipping more on the tip pad. I would not hesitate to refer to this restaurant as overpriced. Overall, it's a truly inventive dish that's one of my favorite things I've eaten in Seattle, but the price and portion complicate things slightly. 9/10

There is no online sample menu for LB's breakfast that I was able to track down, so from memory they are currently offering: the English Breakfast (standard size), the Full English (which is 2x the English - pics included in post for comparison), steak and eggs, a biscuit breakfast sandwich, the Scotch egg (same as the one on the dinner menu), and an assortment of smaller plates (Bubble & Squeak, English muffin with rhubarb jam, porridge with fixings, etc.). They are also serving Bloodies and a variety of N/A beverages. Overall, we liked the English options - the standard size is plenty of food for the average appetite. I did not care for how strong the warming spices were in the black sausage; the spices were the predominant flavor - I like to taste the minerally undertones of the other ingredients. That's just a personal preference though! Bubble & Squeak was very tasty - a fun vegetarian option, or a good side for the table to share.
