Don't let this unassuming cafe fool you, it is really spacious inside with plenty of seating. Came on a Friday morning and there were a couple of patrons dining inside. The weather outside was starting to feel like fall already, but it felt nice and cozy inside. The food portion sizes were big and I love how they had about 6 or 7 items in the kids menu. And when I say the portion sizes were big, they apply to the kids stuff too. It can legit pass as a non kid portion size at a lot of other restaurants. The service was excellent as my coffee mug was never empty. Will definitely come back whenever I am back in the area to try the other stuff on their menu. The only thing negative I'd have to say is just having to find parking in the residential area. Other than that, a great breakfast option!

    Entrance at 65th & Latona (8/15/25)

This corner spot at 65th & Latona had been a cafe in previous iterations. Currently it is the second location of The Dish Cafe. I decided to check it out on 8/15/25. The same interior, but updated with its current ownership. Really friendly service and answered my inquiries about menu items without any hesitation. I decided to go with the chicken fried steak over the corned beef hash. It was perfectly sized and most importantly great taste! It seems to focus on breakfast/brunch during my visit since it closes by 1pm, contrary to the expanded menu posted near the door. Nice location close to Ravenna, Roosevelt, and Green Lake neighborhoods.

We came in with 12 people at rush and the staff were so accommodating and managed to get us together. We were celebrating a birthday weekend. We loved the food, atmosphere and service.

    Half biscuits and gravy

I went for breakfast and ordered the half size of the biscuits and gravy. It may be one of the best i've had!! The half size is $1.50 cheaper than the full size so if you're really hungry i'd go for the full size. Service was great and it wasn't too busy on a Friday morning.

One of the breakfast places I have been to recently. They opened a new restaurant near green lake and they already have one in Ballard. The place is still setting up but open. The server was very nice gave us time to order and provided us with suggestions and answered our question. He was the only one taking care of the table and was doing a great job. Our food came out pretty fast everything tasted fresh and delicious. Probably one of the best breakfast burritos I have had. All the other things in the menu looked great as well. Highly recommend this place.

All the food was so good! We just wanted a local cafe place for lunch on our way north and we found The Dish Cafe. Excellent food!

Came in on a Sunday afternoon and sat at the bar. Had the El Grande and the Katracho and it was honestly one of the best brunches we've had. Super fresh ingredients, very flavorful, and healthy portions. Friendly wait staff too!

I had The Slacker and Mom had the Biscuits and Gravy. The food was phenomenal and we'll definitely be back again!

Chilaquiles with red sauce and carnitas

I had a wonderful experience here. The chilaquiles with carnitas were amazing - I had the red sauce which was spicy without being overly hot. I dined alone at the counter, was treated with kindness while I enjoyed the happy chatter of tables behind me and between the staff. The ambiance is lovely, feels like going to your favorite relative's house where you know it's all good.

Chorizo Benedict with red potatoes. Was perfect.

Incredible breakfast. I am always on the hunt for a great Benedict and am happy I tried this place. The chorizo Benedict was to die for and might be a top spot in the in the NE for me. Very pleasant atmosphere and service. Will come back!

One the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Yummy. Good bread, ingredients, etc. Plus, that little neighborhood brings back a lot of memories.

Best value best food breakfast restaurant in town. Everything is homemade. Recent change to the menu after 25 years. They added homemade Carnitas homemade chorizo and fried plantains with their breakfast. Unbelievable food. They now have Espresso in the Greenlake location.

I swear I could eat those every single day if I could. The combo silog was awesome too because you get a little bit of everything, so it's perfect if you wanna try multiple Filipino breakfast staples in one plate. The whole place just felt super homey and comforting. Service was exactly what you'd expect visiting a Filipino household: warm, welcoming, and genuine. You really feel taken care of here.

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).

They served the coffees with a little shortbread cookie, and these little details really elevated the whole experience. Also, the cappuccino was so foamy, and it hit the spot immediately. The breakfast menu was also fantastic. The TPC Breakfast plate included sausage, potatoes, bacon, bread, and some scrambled eggs. There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance. This is probably because the restaurant is great but pretty limited in seating space. However, it was definitely worth the wait, so don't be discouraged. I highly recommend trying it out at least once. All in all, highly recommend! Please go try Tilikum Place Cafe!
