I've never been to this cafe, but the atmosphere was so cute I just had to stop by for coffee before an apartment tour and I'm so obsessed with how friendly everyone is! Even though it was my first time there, the baristas treated me like a regular. Deanna was super patient with taking my order and answering all my questions about my drink. I decided to get a 16 oz mocha with oat milk and it was perfect, I adored how creamy and light the milk felt floating in my mouth. The chocolate was perfectly incorporated into the drink for a delectably sweet flavour. The service was so speedy and I was surprised when another barista, Jenna, walked my order to my table with a glass of water! Everyone here truly went above and beyond to take care of me. The blueberry banana cake was super moist and dense. I definitely was only able to eat a few bites before taking the rest home, but it tasted super good heated up as leftovers. We just moved to the neighborhood a couple of months ago and I wish we would have tried Bang Bang Cafe sooner! They have tons of vegetarian and vegan options! The torta could have used more flavor, but it was nice to have a vegetarian sandwich that wasn't just vegetables and mushrooms. I think it would have been improved with a spicier sauce. We were heading to the Space Needle and Siri recommended the Bang Bang Cafe as a place to get vegan food on the way. I had intended to get something for breakfast, but there were so many good lunch-y offerings on the menu that I wound up going that direction instead. I met a friend at Bang Bang Cafe last week for a chat and a treat, and the vegan concha was so good, I took my hubs there today for dessert. He took a bite of my concha and agreed that it was delish. He got the strawberry and lemon curd layer cake. It was beautiful and delicious. Street parking was easy and I like the friendly, casual vibe at this place. I come here almost every Friday on my way to my friend's house and the food is always top notch! The owner Yuki bakes a lot of the desserts and they're always very unique and tasty! Today I had a pistachio and maroon berry cake that was really good! The coffee is also very good (even by Seattle standards). I usually like the cardamom latte, but my friend always gets the espresso tonic which is espresso, tonic water, and lime. In terms of savory food, I've only had the chips and queso which is also very good, but they have an extensive menu with caries options. It was pretty quiet at noon on a Tuesday, but friendly service and plenty of seating inside. I had an amazing breakfast burrito with both the red and green sauce, both delicious. I could only eat half and am looking forward to having the second half for dinner. Also got an onsite made Pop tart - filled with jam and a lavender glaze. Excellent. Didn't know that their kitchen opened an hour after opening, thankfully it was about a quarter to eight and I had time to spare. I was able to pay for my order prior and my food came out earlier than expected. The breakfast burrito was slightly smaller than expected but was filling. The sauces were flavorful and was a good meal. I read some reviews beforehand and got a horchata latte, it was excellent. Thank you fellow yelpers! Me and my family woke up this morning in our air b&b at the belltown condos(see previous review) and were hungry. we looked for a place to eat, and bang bang stood out. I was there for over an hour looking round and my body was not interested in anything inside the market. Bang bang is just a few blocks outside of the pike place market and for sure worth the walk. I decided to order online while I was still at the market so my food was ready when I arrived. As I was walking up my food I was shocked by how chill the vibe was in the area. No much going on outside, just beautiful nature and buildings, which was perfect for dining outside. The dining area inside felt small so I'm glad I was able to eat outside on a nice day. Once I was inside I was treated by very nice servers. It wasn't busy so I'm not surprised I got fast service. Even tho it's small inside the decor was very clean and nice. They even offered to put my Togo order on a plate when they realized I wasn't to dine in. The only thing that I was not so thrilled about, was the price. Almost $20 for a smothered brisket burrito. Not terribly over priced and I did have left overs. As beautiful as the sauce was, the flavor wasn't as vibrant as the colors. Don't get me wrong, it did taste good. We were so happy to check out the vegan options at this cafe. Service is stellar with a smile. We have loved everything we tried (vegan mac, breakfast burrito vegan, the cowboy vegan). The red sauce is very smoky, the green sauce is super mild and my tip is to find the bottle of green cholula or the habanero and use that instead for a nice vinegary kick. Executive summary: service is 5 stars; food 3.5 stars; vegan options. Bang Bang Cafe is not far from where we live, yet oddly we have never been. Decided to go for Saturday brunch recently. Pro-tip: Google Maps showed that the place was "as busy as it gets," but while it was busy, there were tables available, and we had no problem getting a table. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and bring out your food. Service is refreshingly great -- pre-pandemic like. They have a lot of people working, and the person taking orders was competent, knowledgeable, and invested in her job. We went to BBC because they offer vegan options, and really enjoyed dinner at their sister restaurant, Bang Bang Kitchen, in Othello. However, the vegan options here are not as good for brunch (or at least what I ordered wasn't). I had the cowboy breakfast, vegan style. It's listed as 2 eggs any style, chorizo spiced roasted potatoes, green chile biscuit, and sausage or tempeh bacon. The vegan egg option is I'm guessing Just Egg, which is OK, but meh. They really need to get the "Yo Egg" vegan poached egg product that Life On Mars has. The tempeh bacon is just too thick, and not like bacon at all. (The best tempeh bacon in the area is Next Level Burger's.) I don't think that tempeh bacon should be hard to make. The key is liquid smoke. Most disappointing, though, was that instead of a green chile biscuit, the vegan option is two pieces of grocery store-level flour tortilla seemingly straight out of the bag. With a little work on the vegan options BBC could really be a five star place. My wife had two vegan pastries, a vegan blueberry banana bread and a vegan blueberry scone. Both were good, although it's curious that BBC's more breakfasty vegan pastries are blueberry. For drinks I had the horchata latte, which is just super good. Horchata is accidentally vegan (who knew?) in its original recipe, and make a latte out of it by adding a couple of shots of espresso is just brilliant. BBC's horchata is perfectly spiced and perfectly sweetened -- not overly sweet that is often the case (for example, Rojo's Mexican Food in Pioneer Square, which has the best vegan tacos in Seattle by far, has an iced horchata drink that is just a bit too sweet). My wife had an oat milk latte, which was well prepared but nothing out of the ordinary. Vibe-wise, it's a small cafe. During the summer they have a few tables outside, which greatly expands capacity. The customers are an interesting mix of locals and tourists from what could discern. A regular came in with his dog to get his coffee to go, and the dog clearly knew where the free dog treats were, which was so adorable! Seats are comfortable. We sat inside. There are two tops and four tops (i.e., tables with four seats and tables with two seats). Towards the front there is more casual seating -- a low coffee table, a couch-type seat, and two lounge-style seats. We'd come back here for sure, but it's not a priority. Ultimately, everything was great, except that the vegan options were unexceptional, which was disappointing. read more

i've lived in Belltown for 15 years and have started to frequent this corner gem daily for coffee, breakfast tacos, quiche, and fresh salads. I love the outdoor patio and meeting all the wonderful dogs that walk by and engaging with the community. It feels like a real place for locals as a bonus. The fire department stops by regularly and has breakfast too during the week. I highly recommend this wonderful place on Western and Wall Street.
