    breakfast sandwich
    Isra A.

oh it's a 10/10, my friends!! but no one's surprised. I went on a loooong walk and stopped by b-side for the breakfast sandwich that "all the locals love" and we believe the locals in this case! the flavors were very well balanced, i especially love green onion with eggs! I ordered the mushroom version, so idk about the ham. The only critique i have is that i ordered the spicy version and now i wish i ordered the extra-spicy because i didn't really appreciate any spice. Pro tip- if you're not ordering a coffee from Analog, go around the corner and place an online order from your phone. it takes like 10-15 min for the food to be ready! The shop was cute inside. Pretty packed when i went on a sunday afternoon, but that's expected. Not really a study spot, but great for grabbing a bite with a friend. i actually think it a great morning activity would be to order some food and go enjoy it at volunteer park. I will be back to try the rice bowl and Analog coffee! Parking: neighborhood street parking

My favorite spot to get a breakfast sandwich here! I love to add ham and/or mushrooms and I always add the hot sauce as well. The sandwich is perfectly done with all of the flavors melting together to create an addictive and unique experience. I'll always take visitors here when they're in town since it's nestled into a residential area so it really feels like a local gem. You order breakfast from B-side at Analog coffee so while you're at it you can order excellent coffee to accompany your breakfast. I've also tried the veggie toast which is as beautiful as it is delicious. It's a small space and does get quite busy every morning I've been in, but there are a few seats on the back porch as well as some inside. Might be too hectic here for working so I'd recommend to instead come here to enjoy the vibes, catch up with a friend, and have a cozy local cafe experience!

Ngl whenever I come to Seattle, B-Side is a must stop for their delectable breakfast sandwich with extra country ham + hot sauce. I'll preface this review is solely for that $8-9 sandwich (crying in seattle pricing) and is coming from a girl who loves to cook. What makes this a perfect breakfast sandwich - fluffy french style egg omelette with a hint of green onion, mild but creamy cheddar cheese + onion aioli , salty ham, nice contrast with the crunch/acid from the pickled daikon + hot sauce, smashed between a humble english muffin which is the perfect vessel for such rich sando. They have mastered salt, acid, heat, and fat. You won't believe how fast that sandwich will be gone after a few bites and start to ponder if it's worth ordering another one LOL. Here's the hack, if you don't want to wait online for the food (u will need to wait for drinks), just order it ahead online and pick up. This place is busy and the barista and staff are friendly/just doing their best to keep up with the weekend line. There's really nice outdoor seating by the side but limited. The inside can be a little stuffy but still have some bar seating. Food: 6/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 4/5

The tastiest healthy food I've ever eaten. I feel so good after eating it. I recommend the rice bowl, the summer tomato salad, and the beans.

Never fails as the best spot for loaded toast! The to-go containers aren't great for the purposes of needing to eat this with a fork and knife as it's a bit awkward and I've cut through the box every time, but great take out if you can bring it home or eat it in house on a plate!

Got their house special salad and it was seriously good. Tons of colorful veggies and everything tasted so fresh. The portion was big and the avocado slices were perfectly ripe. Loved the little crunch from the nuts too. I felt really good after eating it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a light meal.

Modest menu, but don't let that fool you. The avocado toast is pretty dang good. Limited seating, but perfect if you're on the go (I mean it is in the Seattle city scape, who isn't busy?). You'll be able to get in and out really quick, smacking your lips from that tasty avocado toast.

I wanted to gatekeep this place forever but this place has one of the best breakfast sandwiches in Seattle. I would recommend people placing an order ahead of time online to minimize the wait as the line can be long. Otherwise you can order from Analog coffee which also can be really crowded. There is no seating for beside, but you can take your sandwich and eat at analog coffee or just get takeout. The service has always been a hit or miss for me and sometimes it's rude. One time, I had ordered mushrooms on my breakfast sandwich, and there weren't any, and when I went back and told them, they didn't offer to take off the mushrooms off my bill for my current order. However, I am willing to overlook it just because the food here is so good. The breakfast sandwich has a really good balance and is textually interesting with the addition of pickled daikon alongside a fluffy egg omelette, prosciutto, and garlic aïoli. It really is delicious. Additionally I would also recommend their veggie bowl as that is seasonal, and always swapped out with different ferment and roasted vegetables. My only minor complaint is that sometimes it feels a bit too oily and salty but otherwise it should be very healthy with all the probiotics. Also, their veggie is to die for. I normally cannot stand beets, but I love them in this toast, because it is so unique with their homemade nut butter and zaatar. I do appreciate how small the menu is because everything is so good, I would want to order one of everything every time!

Came here for a quick last minute brunch while running errands and was very blown away! I'm not normally the type for vegan/vegetarian choices (I like my meat), but this veggie toast was so good! I honestly don't really know what I was eating, there were so many things on the bread that made it surprisingly hearty and filling! The cashew butter, beets, carrots, and spices make for a delicious combination of nutty, creamy, tangy, and zingy. The bread was also the perfect amount of chewy and crunchy. The breakfast sandwich was also pretty good, but not as impressive as the toast. The ham option is some type of cured meat (prosciutto?). I think the english muffin was a little too thin/weak for the thick layer of egg and mushroom, so it got soggy. Eating this after the veggie toast made it seem underwhelming, but as a breakfast sandwich this is also very delicious. This place only has a couple tables outside the area, so I would recommend being prepared to take it to-go. The cashier was very friendly and gave us water/napkins when I asked. This place also took orders and had food out quickly, but it definitely seems pretty popular so consider going during off hours (before 11ish?).

I've driven by this place soooo many times and it always always has a line. I'm so glad I checked this place out because the food is actually so good! The prices are a little high for my liking for casual/quick breakfast. I split the sweet toast ($8) the egg and ham sandwich ($7) with my partner. The sweet toast comes with a creamy ricotta, jam, and some granola on top. This was actually DELICIOUS as a combo and the crispy bread, wowww!! A little sweet for my liking so I'm glad I split this with something salty. The egg and ham sandwich was good, and spicy! A real egg, ham, lots of cheese, and very yummy.

Fantastic breakfast food. Great service. It's got that neighborhood cafe vibe that's really nice. We got the breakfast sandwich and veggie toast and wow, the veggie toast is incredible. Sandwich was great too, but the toast stole the show for us

Some of the better breakfast in cap hill for sure. We got the avocado toast and the breakfast sandwich with the mushrooms and ham. The toast was really delicious with a good ratio of bread to topping and herbs. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good too. I enjoyed sitting and eating at the adjoined analog coffee and while the seating isn't plentiful, most people are coming in and out making it easy to find a spot to sit. It was a bit of a wait for the food but nothing unreasonable. I look forward to coming back another weekend

Lorenzo opened Paseo in 1994, where his popular Cuban roast pork sandwiches were regarded as among the best in the country. After years of local expansion, Paseo abruptly filed for bankruptcy in 2014. The brand was subsequently bought out by a local entrepreneur, but the sale did not include Paseo's secret recipes (the reboot attempted to reverse engineer the sandwiches with varying success). So, in 2015, Lorenzo's sons revived Paseo under a new name, Un Bien, armed with their father's original recipes. Nowadays, Un Bien is generally regarded as superior to Paseo, and you can grab their Caribbean sandos at one of the three locations across Seattle. You can't miss the pastel pink-and-teal palette of the original shack on an otherwise drab block of Ballard. As you approach the wooden window, you are greeted by the aroma of sauteed meats and veggies. Communal laquered wood benches are lined up underneath a covered pergola. Fifties hits ring respectfully around the kitchen. My partner and I visited for late weekday lunch, and we ordered immediately. We opted to focus on the signature pork shoulder, so we split the #1 Caribbean Roast and #2 The Press. Across both sandwiches, we were impressed by the tender pork, rich onions, lemon-forward aioli, and marinade-soaked baguette. The standard roast pork sandwich added on pickled jalapenos and crisp romaine, culminating in a dynamic flavor that accentuated the meat. Meanwhile, The Press featured tart banana peppers, smoked ham, and melty Swiss, amping up the sweet and savory flavors alike; we agreed that this extra-messy sandwich just edged out the standard version. Our order took just minutes to be prepared, and the bill just topped $30. Despite the fanfare, I still found myself surprised by just how satisfying Un Bien's sandwiches turned out to be. Across all the food I ate in Seattle, only these pork sandwiches would be worth a return visit, even if I had to venture out of my way.

We ordered promptly, but were told we would only have about 10 minutes to use the seating area before it closed. When we asked for clarification because the restaurant was advertised as being open until 9:00 PM, staff confirmed they were open until then but said the seating area would close earlier anyway. After receiving our food, we were told not to sit down and were asked to leave the seating area altogether. The interaction felt abrupt and discourteous, especially given that we had arrived well before closing and had purchased food with the expectation that we could eat on-site. The food itself was average, but the poor customer service and inconsistent messaging about seating left a much stronger impression than the meal. There are other better places. Skip.

Located in the Seattle Center Armory, along with many other food vendors, Big Mike's Sandwich Company is serving up huge cheesesteaks, chopped cheese, and other East Coast-style subs. For $25, I picked up the cheesesteak and fries combo. Not a terrible price for the portion. Waited about 10-15 minutes for the sandwich to come out. You order on a tablet here, and then they call your name. It's a small storefront, so you really have to stay nearby to hear your name being called in the large space that is the Armory. Not much interaction with staff. Plenty of seating throughout the Armory, though shared with other restaurants. The food came out piping hot. Obviously, they cook everything fresh to order because the inside of the fries was like lava. The fries were thick-cut and seasoned to perfection. The sandwich was good. I thought some pieces of the steak were a bit tough, and the roll seemed a bit over-steamed or possibly stale. A good sandwich and decent portion, nonetheless. I'm still going 5 stars here. I think Big Mike's is a great choice if you want a hearty, meat-filled sandwich and you happen to be in the area. However, I think you could be happy with another dining option in the Armory, too. My kids loved the MOD Pizza nearby. While there isn't anything wildly unique going on at Big Mike's, they are still pushing out great sandwiches at reasonable prices with a no-frills ordering process.
