This spot is pricey but good. I picked up some knishes and latkes and they were amazingly delicious so it's honestly worth the splurge. Maybe I'll try the egg salad next time. They do have some vegetarian choices, but mostly side dishes. The egg salad and grilled cheese are the only mains without meat I believe. There are not any vegan or gluten free options from what I could tell, but if they ever make a veggie matzo ball soup, I'm in. Very friendly staff an everything came out super quick. All the tables were taken but there's quite a few places to dine in (looked like indoor picnic tables kinda). Would love to come back!

Local deli!! This place is local and really cute! The staff is very helpful (as we were tourists). I got a Turkey sandwich and it was packed with Turkey! My fiancé got a pastrami and he loved it! The also had crumble cake for sample tasting and it was delicious.

A very filling breakfast choice! The turkey was packed on the bagel and the brisket was warm and savory. Staff is welcoming and inside seating area is open and inviting. The prices are definitely on the higher side.

"Bada-Ding" Dingfelders!!! Too much goodness. I had the pastrami which they make in house (except for the cow).MELT IN YOUR MOUTH!! Small place, a little had to park, but that seems inconsequential once you get inside and get their goodness in your belly. Staff knows deli meats.

I can't believe it took me so long to visit Dingfelder's! The Rachel hot pastrami was delicious with the cheese and sauerkraut on caraway rye. The bread was so crunchy and the pastrami was so well seasoned. I ordered "Seattle Style" with half the meat, but there was still so much meat. I also got one of each kind of rugelach to try. The chocolate and apricot flavors were my favorite. Can't wait to come back for some more Jewish comfort food!

This was our first time visiting Dingfelder's deli based on recommendations from other Yelpers. When we first walked in, we were a bit skeptical. The display case of meats and salad was a bit sparse. We ordered two sandwiches, 1 soup, 1 bagel with cream cheese and a few drinks. The bill totaled $84...yikes! The soup was complimentary because one person in our party was a first responder. All were delicious and large enough to share. There are tables and chairs inside the deli, so we ate there. This was a great find!

This was my second time patronizing a NYC-style Jewish deli, and although I enjoyed the black-white cookie, I found the rest of the food wanting, perhaps simply out of unfamiliarity. I'd recommend getting the hot pastrami sandwich on the lean side, because I found it to be aggressively difficult to eat, even for my gaping maw. The fat content of the sandwich also exceeded my thresholds, with some bites needing to be removed from my mouth with a napkin due to the never-ending chewing that seemed to be required to break down the fat. I found the texture on the matzo ball to be a bit unnerving, but recalled it's bread and fat rather than meat, and it became slightly more appetizing. The service was remarkably lovely, however, and I found the staff endearing and highly personable! If I returned, it would perhaps only be to chitchat or say hi. The ambiance inside was pleasant--it felt a bit more like a cafeteria than a restaurant, though

From the outside, this looks very unassuming and I probably would've overlooked it. But Kenji (of NYT Cooking fame) recommended it, so I figured it was worth trying. Inside, it looks very much like a NY style deli, something that Seattle has very few of. Each of us got the house smoked lox on bagels. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it's a decent sized platter. The bagels are legit (and by legit, I mean classic NY style) and the lox were tasty. I'd go back to try the pastrami or some of the pastries. Note: They don't have any DF cream cheese options.

Best house made lox I have ever had!!! The bagel was excellent as well, toasted perfectly and had a crunch that held up to the cream cheese on it. House-made pickles a nice touch. Don't let the rough exterior of the building fool you, inside is an amazing gem of a restaurant!!! Highly recommended!!!

HIDDEN GEM! Looks unassuming from the outside but has THE best bagels in Seattle. So much cream cheese

The corned beef sandwich andnoastramuneas both yummy yum yum! The meat was cooked to perfection. The corned beef was fatry but I enjoy it that way. So moist and natural flavors. The pastrami will have more a peppery flavor and char on the the outside. They rye bread isnwhatbundintbusuallynoiie but this time it taste like an everything bagel it was yummy. I got the marble rye was delicious!! Yummy yum yum. I agree it is on the expensive side but when you get something that just taste like heaven innyiur kiuth it is worth it. I do t know what kind of mustard they used but I enjoyed it. Tehybadded alittoeninkean a little coke salw in my sandwich. I wish I would have ordered a side of pickles. They wetenskughly salted and sour so yummy. Another reason we could not given it 5 stars beside the price is the parking more like what parking. There is like 5 tables in there to dine in. Self serve coffee and water. They had a day old rack. The Ny cheesecake was good looking but it didn't satisfy me maybe because I like it more lemon or like tasting. It was thick and not so smooth.

What is the proper way to execute a catering order with Dingfelders as they ignore or lose emailed orders and can't take the order over the phone? How do they compensate when they add stress and mess up a holiday order?

Then you chose to increase prices and decrease the quantity, which didn't make sense. Less for more? What a waste of a great idea - greed is why your business model didn't work. Your business was so hot when it opened and it actually went downhill about 6 years ago and I am not sad to see you go. Josh - to respond to your comment. My note should have inspired some reflection with the business model but it didn't. Your level of greed was insane and that is not forgiven here. You started hot and decided to squeeze more than your share from this business and this is what happens. You messed around and found out. It's sad because I actually supported the business when it opened but quickly had to end my dealings due to the high level of greed. You did this to your own business by wanting more, more and more, so please don't play the victim here. I'm sorry that you're saddened by this but what you did to the community is far worse than what I said. Actually ripping people off with your product is not having humanity. I'm not the inhumane one here and let's get that straight. I didn't rip people off - you did! You got what you deserved and that's that. You likely have time to turn things around but I doubt you can reduce your greed in time. If you do, I'll gladly come back and support yall. Again - food was great and greed was not.

I'd heard they were good, but holy smokes, I didn't realize they would be *that* good. Here are my recommendations: - Get the Tatstrami. Its combination of flavors is so freaking good. - Order online and then sweep in and pick it up. Since the place does most of its business during lunchtime, there's always a line and this is a way to skip that. If you want to venture beyond a pastrami sandwich, I highly recommend the chicken cheesesteak. While I normally opt for beef when it comes to cheesesteaks, Tat's actually isn't amazing but their chicken one is. So get that instead. In short, this is tied with Dingfelders for the best sandwich in Seattle. Pay it a visit and bring your appetite.
