We ordered about 12 sandwiches for pickup for a work event. We asked for pickup around 11:30, and the restaurant had a few people in it but was not overly crowded on a Thursday, and there was some free street parking to be found. The outdoor seating area looked nice, with several people and a dog eating. The workers were just finishing prepping our order as we walked in, so we overall waited in the restaurant for less than 5 min. We ordered sandwiches and tots. The sandwich was great, the duderino was good, and the chorizo was a nice touch for the chicken. But the tater tots were really the stand out. I particularly like the aioli options, those were delicious. A good place for a sandwich lunch!

I went to Valhalla Sandwiches with two friends for brunch. We arrived around 11 am on Saturday. The place was not too populated for like half an hour, and then it started filling up quickly. I had the Valhalla pork, which was fine but nothing special. The pork was a little dry and the sandwich needed more sauce. I should've realized Seattle is not a place to get a BBQ sandwich. I should've gone with other sandwiches. My friend's chicken deluxe sandwich looked really good.

We walked in and were pleasantly surprised by an array of sandwich choices that were not your typical deli sandwich. The person taking our order was very knowledgeable in what was a fan favorite. Our order came fast, the sandwiches were extremely delicious, we definitely will be back because we want to try more of the menu. The place had a chill vibe and is nestled between Phinney Ridge and Greenwood. Absolutely perfect.

Solid 3 1/2 stars The only disappointment was that the sandwich was on a smaller ciabatta like square bread sized sandwich. I was expecting a sub-type sandwich. I didn't ask what type of bread was available, so that may be my own error. I ordered the "Thanksgetting" sandwich. Turkey, gravy, bacon, stuffing, cranberry sauce. Incredibly delicious. It's a small location and it was fairly busy at the time we visited. An afternoon on a weekday. Luckily we scored a street parking on the corner right across the street from their location. Were I a local, I could see myself visiting here often. As a tourist, I'm not convinced I would go out of my way to visit here with so much diverse food options in Seattle. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my sandwich here very much.

Sandwiches are generous and flavorful without being over the top and overwhelming. I had the Thanksgetting sandwich which was a great take on a Thanksgiving leftover sandwich - all the toppings you'd expect plus bacon! I also had some tots which were a big enough portion to share for lunch. The tap list was great too. Service was counter service - fast and efficient despite the place being crowded. There were not very many seats on a rainy Sunday afternoon and a lot of people lingering over their meals while people hovered - as a hoverer this was stressful. But not the restaurant's fault for being successful!

A great sandwich spot that is relatively affordable. I tried the Reubanator and the Roast beef mode. For around $14 a sandwich, I was impressed with the quality (wish I took a picture of the cross section) and amount of meat. Sandwiches were well balanced with acidic and sweet elements and I will definitely be back to try more sandwiches (and to eat more reubens).

I was exhausted driving around thinking about a place to eat. I use the yelp map. I was pulled over the side of the road I pulled over. Stopped on Greenwood Avenue and search for restaurants and oh and behold Valhalla was in my eye shot. After a quick scan of the reader board, I decided to get the chicken sandwich which is chicken, bacon, arugula, a blue cheese dressing. The chicken was moist. The bun was fresh. The place is clean and the person who took my money was just the perfect amount of helpful in Seattle Searley. They bring your food out. I wasn't sure about that and I saw someone else having the coleslaw. It's an apple house jalapeño slaw. I decided to get a side of that. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed my sandwich. This place is a formula. that is well balanced, but not boring. I would go again.

Great sandwich spot! The setting is pretty casual, but the sandwiches come out quick and taste delicious! There's a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from, but we tried the Fidel cashflow. This sandwich was so good!! There was a decent portion of meat, and balanced flavors with the bread, pickles, and mustard aioli. We mentioned that the two of us were splitting the sandwich when we ordered, and they actually cut the sandwich in half when serving it to us! Just a nice touch with the service. Other sandwiches in the menu look great too, so we'll be back to try more! Really recommend this spot if you're looking for a good sandwich.

Was craving a sando today and my partner had been to Valhalla sandwiches before. It was a beautiful day for a sandwich date. I ordered the El Duderino it was sliced chicken breast, avocado, cilantro and chipotle mayo. It was a perfect mix of spicy and delicious. I ordered a side of classic jalapeño chips my favorite and chipotle Mac salad. The Mac salad was okay. My partner really enjoyed it but I'm not a big fan of red peppers. They have so many other sandwich's I'm dying to try! Definitely a perfect spot for a sandwich date.

We walked down the road to find some lunch in the neighborhood and stumbled upon this place! The yard bird was tasty, but I wish it was a bit bigger. I loved the outdoor seating, especially when the weather is nice. The staff was excellent and patient.

I like sandwiches, and I am always on the hunt for new places. I came across Valhalla, and it was ok. It was a good experience overall, and it has the potential to have 5-star sandwiches, but in my opinion, something is off, and I can not pinpoint what it is. The quality of the ingredients is good, and the combination of flavors seems appealing on the menu, but once executed, it is not as great as you would have thought. Maybe there is too much sauce/aioli/mayo on it, and the bread is different (it is not a baguette, ciabatta, or brioche, but it feels grainy and dry). Service is fast and effective, and the place is cozy even with a nice cover patio swatting Give it a try; you might find a good sandwich that might hit the spot.

Love the amount of meat on this sandwich and service was so quick even during lunch on a Monday. I wish the slaw was a little bit more acidic to balance the flavor of the meat. But overall a good sandwich

They were even able to give me a sample of the different cheeses as I wasn't sure if the gorgonzola would be super funky. I got the bambino sandwich and it was good. It's a simple sandwich with just a handful of ingredients but it goes well. The bread is pretty crunchy yet fluffy inside. The salty mortadella pairs well with the creamy straciatella (essentially a mozzarella cheese) and the crunchy pistachios. Also, it was a little pricey but the sandwich is relatively large so you get what you pay for. Overall, Fortuna Bottega brings a new sandwich shop to the area and they ingredients are simple however, all together, it works well!

got the Notorious PIG sandwich and the Buttermilk Biscuit while I was here…read more Starting with the sandwich, there were a ton of things to love about this The very first thing I noticed was how all-time crispy the pork belly was. Interestingly, the meat came in two separate pieces, arranges somewhat like an X or a cross in the middle of the sandwich. This certainly wasn't the eating experience of a typical sandwich with a circular meat patty, and I appreciate the creativity here. The meat was insanely crunchy, oily, and quite plentiful. Each bite felt a bit like you were biting into a crunchy churro, but without the sweetness. I did think the outside of the pork did overpower the inside, though, as I didn't taste the meat or the fat inside much, and due to the amount of breading the pieces ended up being a bit chewy The bun was quite good as well - it was pretty soft, fluffy, and served as a really good bookend to all the ingredients inside. I thought the lettuce and onions also were good. I don't know if I'm a fan of the jelly on the sandwich - but again, I do like the creativity. What did shine here was the aioli, however. In a lot of places, you don't really taste the aioli on a burger - but that flavor was ever-present on this sandwich, and it was really fantastic. The absolute best part of the meal, by far, though, was the biscuit I have to start with how huge this is. This is certainly not the size of a typical Southern-style buttermilk biscuit - rather this biscuit makes no apologies in its effort to stand out from the crowd. Absolutely nobody would mistake this for a traditional biscuit - on the contrary, I think on first glance most people would assume this isn't a biscuit at all. It's shaped more like a massive pastry. I hesitate to say that looks are deceiving, because it does look great, but its taste manages to elevate past that. This was SO good. The edges are baked perfectly - they're oily, crispy, crunchy, and perfectly flaky. All four sides provide an amazing base - like the walls of a fortress that surround the soft, tender interior of the biscuit. You can see the different layers from the outside as well. When it comes to the inside, there was so much to get through but every bite was heavenly. So much credit here goes to the honey butter - which when spread onto the biscuit, raises the taste level of the entire thing. I put so much honey butter on mine that I nearly finished the whole thing. When it came to the jam, it was good, but since it didn't combine great with the honey butter I mostly ended up just using the latter This place was expensive - around 16 dollars for the sandwich and 8 for the biscuit - however, I was quite full at the end

It wasn't quite incredibly tender, but the marinade added an absolute ton of flavor. more importantly, it was present plentifully throughout the sandwich, so practically every bite came filled with pork I also have to mention how packed together the ingredients are between the buns. when you start eating, it's inevitable that a quarter of the ingredients will fall onto the wrap below, leaving a nice secondary meal to finish off after the sandwich is done. the sandwich is packed incredibly tight during the wrapping process, but it unravels a bit while eating. for me, the major highlights of this meal was the onions and the aioli Starting with the onions, these may be the best I've ever had on a sandwich. They're caramelized amazingly, placed onto the sandwich in astoundingly large pieces, are crunchy, and there's just a lot of them. They're just wonderful both texturally and taste-wise. This sandwich is absolutely lathered with aioli - practically dripping with it. This boosted the overall flavor so much, especially because this aioli was addictingly good. In my experience, the amount of sauce has been directly proportional to how much I enjoyed a sandwich, and when the sauce is this good - it's even on the top of the bun! - i absolutely loved it Somehow the lettuce stayed crunchy despite all the otherwise wetness going on in the sandwich. Props for that The jalapenos were great as well for that extra bit of spicy - I would've loved to have more of them while the bread was toasted well, the one downside was i thought it was pretty hard and tough, which made chewing kind of difficult. I found my jaw to be pretty tired at the end after eating this. I would've much preferred a softer roll that's easier to bite into I've had similar sandwiches from Paseo and Bongos, and in my opinion this does edge out both of those Comparing to Paseo, the sandwich there has way more oil, making it more sloppy and I do like the bread there a lot better, but the pork feels richer and better marinated here (although less fatty), and the onions are definitely caramelized better here as well. Bongos has a pretty similar level of pork with more, but onions are definitely a step down What moves this place above those two for me is the amount of aioli used here far exceeds those other places, which just makes the overall eating experience better For the price (about 14 dollars) this is a really filling meal

I placed the order online - which was convenient! I showed up a few min late but my order was not ready yet, which was no issue.. the lady working (Rebecca, I think) was apologetic and was hustling. It seemed busy with lots of phone calls and orders. I loved the Reuben - the meat was so tender and not too fatty (which I prefer). Perfect ratios of sauce, meat and bread and not too greasy! The Hama Hama Oyster Po'Boy - Deep-fried Hama Hama yysters with housemade remoulade and lemon-pepper mayo. I loved this. The oysteres were nicely fried with not too much batter. Fully Loaded Skins & Ins - Skins & Ins are basically a mixture of fried potato skins and potato chunks so you get a variety of texture: thin and crispy, or soft and meaty. The fully loaded option adds toppings similar to that of a loaded baked potato (white sauce, spices, scallions, and super crunchy bacon bits).
