Eggs Benedict with greens (weekend only)

We loved this place! It has outdoor seating that's dog friendly and the menu is amazing because it's pretty much all waffle themed. The food was fresh and tasty and everything was their own unique take on a dish. The server was very attentive too. I highly recommend trying their weekend and seasonal special options! We will definitely be back with our pup again soon.

This is a very delightful hole in the wall breakfast place that has limited items on the menu, all involving waffles. Their waffles are delicious, the perfect ratio of crunch on the outside with a soft interior. Not too overwhelming in size either. Be sure to reserve in advance because there are limited seating and it's a small restaurant. The staff were very accommodating and incredibly friendly. What to order on the menu is truly a quandary!

A lambs quandary is a cute neighborhood, breakfast place with decent food and a casual vibe. The waffle Sammie is a different concept and it was good to try at least once. Each waffle Sammie ranged around $24 or so. The food felt a bit heavy but I did like the hashbrowns quite a bit, with the potatoes being extra crispy.

Cute neighborhood spot in Ballard for brunch/lunch. Inside feels like a cafe with limited seating if it gets busy, and the staff are very friendly. The menu features mainly waffle- and hash brown-based items, which are done really well! The hash browns are especially delicious, having been cooked with maximal surface area for crisping, and the house kimchi and chili oil added a welcome touch of heat and acidity to the scramble. We added Italian beef on top, which was super tender but a little salty (the hash brown helps with this though!). The fried chicken waffle sandwich featured a great mix of Asian and Southern-inspired flavors, and it came with a mountain of salad for healthy balance. The brunch salad was chock full of seitan, mushroom, and waffle croutons as promised, and the maple-sesame dressing was very refreshing. Overall this place was great, and we'd definitely return!

I love this spot and can't wait to come back. I'd never had a waffle sandwich before but I'm sold--the brisket sammy absolutely slaps! I was worried the waffle would be sweet and overpower the savory, but not at all. Great flavor balance. Hashbrowns were crispy and yummy. And the menu has some more typical 'safe' items for people with less adventurous palates and some nice cocktails. Cute vibe, good music, friendly service. Hell yeah.

Super friendly service. On point recommendation. If I had only one brunch to eat in Seattle ever I picked the right one!

Such a cute new spot that took over for the fat hen. Will miss the ole hen but this new spot looks like a great alternative. They look like they lean asian fusion brunch foods, but overall just love the friendly service and cute dishes!

Stopped in to try A Lamb's Quandary for the first time on a Sunday morning and there was no wait for a table of 2. Their menu is pretty small, so easy to make a choice. We tried the brisket waffle sandwich ($24), the scramble ($18), and lattes. Lattes ($6, $1 extra for oat milk or syrups) were good, not very strong espresso though. The waffles were a lot thinner than expected, but both dishes had great flavor. Service was good, though it did feel a bit like we were being rushed even though there were empty tables. Overall, I would stop in again when I'm in the area.

We came right at opening and were greeted warmly by staff and the owner. Drinks and food came very quickly. I loved the fun combo of flavors, good kick but not too overpowering. Wonder came back and very open to feedback! Matcha latte is nonsweetened just how I like it and latte was tasty as well. We love the fun logo and decor as well!

A Sweet New Spot for Waffle Lovers! I recently checked out A Lamb's Quandary, this cozy, modern spot is the perfect place for anyone who loves a warm, crispy waffle, whether you prefer them sweet or savory! I'll definitely be back to sample more of their creative menu!

First thing first this place is not the restaurant that previously existed in this same building. If you come here expecting the same menu and and to recapture that prior experience, that's just not going to happen. What this place does have in common with the former, is it shares the same wonderful small café hometown feel ran by amazing humans who will give you an amazing journey with food. The food at a Lamb's Quandary is unique in one of a kind to our region. I've been in twice now and had the best cooked waffle sandwiches that had the most amazing food and flavor combinations available in the area. The coffee the service in the atmosphere are probably best in class. The menu may be simple, but the flavors are so complex and tender that it is worth the journey to stop by. Furthermore, because this place is new, you're almost guaranteed to get a table that is until the rest of you all discover what I have already done so. This place is a hidden gem in a well-known location in a wonderful part of town. But please don't take my word for it. Stop in and experience a truly amazing experience again ran by the most wonderful people that really care about what they're trying to do. What more could you want?

I went there on a 9.30am Saturday and was pleasantly surprised to find a seat outside since I was dining solo. I knew I wanted to try the Waffle Sammies Fried Chicken so I ordered that. When it finally arrived, I was underwhelmed by the taste. The waffle is not warm and the chicken is over fried, though I must say the seasoning of the chicken is good and well marinated. So are the hash browns on the table. I manage to flag down a waiter and told him the issue with the chicken that was over fried. He told me he will check with the chef to find out more..He never got back to me. I even had to go upfront to pay for my meal, and noticed there was a minimum 20% for tips. I'm not sure I'll be back. The cost of the meal plus tips was almost $30 for one. I'm not sure I'll need back anytime soon.

There's actually a hidden backyard seating area that's dog friendly. Owner was super friendly and went around asking about everyone's experiences. The Mean: Corned beef was not the most tender (I'm still partial to Dingfelder's), but it's well seasoned. Mint with mustard is a combination I never would have guessed would work, but the sharpness complemented each other nicely. Red cabbage had a nice tang and the soft bun for the contrast of texture. The Steak Tartare Club: Steak tartare surprisingly mild, almost feels more like a BLT with a background of slight beefy squishy texture (but in a good way!). The yuzu kosho was not too spicy and the rye bread toasted to a crisp added a good bit of crunch and almost nutty flavor. Will be back for the Hama Hama Oyster Po'Boy.

While other Serious Pie locations tend to be semi-upscale-yet-casual pizza joints, this spot felt more like an afterthought with its small, dark space and decidedly hole-in-the-wall vibe. The good news is, the pizza was still delish, as it always is at Serious Pie. We enjoyed the sweet sausage pizza that has become a fave over the years, along with a couple of beers which were served in plastic pint "glasses". Okay, I'm sure this makes me sound like a beer snob, but plastic?! Good beer just doesn't taste good in plastic. (Unless you're at a frat party?) Our server (who, by the way, was excellent) later told us he'd accidentally used the wrong glasses for the beer; so apparently it's something they're fixing. Yay! It was also darn cold inside. We had to keep our coats on the entire time. A door between the restaurant area and the semi-open entrance to what appears to be their central storage area would most likely help. Again, this all probably seems a bit petty. I'll own that. But as someone who loves Tom Douglas and his restaurants, and has had great experiences at other Serious Pie locations, this one was a disappointment. Especially since they're charging the same (some might say elevated) prices as they do at the other locations. Maybe if they called it something else, to differentiate it? Serious Pie Lite? Semi-Serious Pie? I dunno, but I expected just a little bit better from this iconic local brand.
