Fresh Flours has very quickly become my absolute favorite coffeehouse in Seattle. The pastry selection is something that dreams are made of, I am never able to decide on just one (luckily the staff are always so lovely and patient with me). As a pastry lover, I love a morning pastry, but more often than not if a cafe has incredible pastries, the coffee drinks are something to be desired...well, NOT HERE!!! No more sacrificing yummy coffee for a beautiful pastry or vice versa :) My partner doesn't always enjoy sweets for breakfast, so she has gotten the breakfast tacos and they usually never even make it out the door. On top of all of their delightful wares and treats, the staff is incredibly kind, they make the vibes so cozy and comfortable (and I'm never made to feel bad for my indecisiveness!!). The lattes are always perfectly steamed :) If you've been sleeping on Fresh Flours, do yourself a favor, stop in and treat yourself to some cozy goodness! (And don't worry about not being able to choose, because you will inevitably & miraculously find yourself back there sooner rather than later!!)

Vegan breakfast burrito

I have never had a vegan breakfast burrito but fresh flour's was awesome. Exploding with flavor and honestly didn't miss the meat. Service was ok but a little slow, maybe because of the holidays. Otherwise it was good. It's popular with the locals. Check it out

Pastry display and friendly staff

Everything was delicious! I could smell the warm pastries from half a block away. Fast and friendly service, even on a busy holiday today. I had the onion and Swiss croissant and a vanilla latte. The croissant was like French onion soup but just in a solid format! Absolutely incredible. I'll be back soon. Parking is a bit of a challenge in this area, but if you're willing to walk a block or two you'll be fine.

mocha, caramel steamer, blueberry danish

How I heard of this place: We were in search of a gluten-free bakery many years back and came across Fresh Flours. It had been a long time since our last visit, so we decided to give it another go! Type of cuisine: Coffee and pastries, plus a selection of breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos and other packaged goods. Ambiance: A corner space with much foot traffic near the Woodland Park Zoo, the space is quaint and warm. Seating on either side as you enter, with more tables stuck in a small space to the right and back tucked behind the order counter. In the front, a small bench graces the window facing the street and sidewalk, which also shares a small patio-like space with outdoor seating options. Pastries are packed in a small display area, but all look enticing and ready to devour. Baristas and staff are friendly and welcoming and help create the comfortable vibe of Fresh Flours. What I ordered: A mocha for me, and a small caramel sauce steamed milk with a blueberry danish for my dining companion. What I loved: The blueberry danish was tasty and simple. The mocha was made with a lovely dark chocolate, not too sweet, but perfectly balanced with the espresso. Why I loved it: Chatting with locals, neighbors and set in a space that feels like everyone is a regular. Cost: Average

Hot chocolate (12oz) Peach danish

I arrived here around 9:30am on a Friday. I really did not expect this place to be busy but the availability of seat inside were limited (yes it was that busy). They also have some outdoor seating available though. By the time I left around noon, more seats were available but I think it filled up as other people arrived. I ordered the Peach Danish and hot chocolate. Then on the way out, I had to get their croissant. -Peach danish: 5 stars. It was delicious. I was not planning to eat it right away but one bite became 5 then I ended up finishing it. The dough was just so authentic and one of the best (if not the best) I've tried in Seattle: buttery and the layers where just perfect. -hot chocolate : 4 stars? I didn't really care for it. Just hot chocolate too special about it. -croissant: 5 stars. Just as good as the peach danish minus the peach. Definitely recommend their croissant or danish pastry. They are really good at this type of dough. I would say that this is the closest to a French pastry I've been in WA when it comes to their croissant dough.

One of my top 5 places in Seattle for pastries, they usually have 10-14 different kinds of pastries left at lunchtime on weekends. Today I tried the ham & cheese croissant (4/5 stars because it was dough-y around the ham), the pecan pull-apart (easily 5/5 stars, loved it!!), and the Mt Bakon taco (solid 5/5 stars, would happily order again). Ambiance was crowded as always - the line was long, and they don't have enough seating, but they don't have any more room! Staff were nice, helpful when I asked questions, and the service was quick. For the three items I spent about $17 with tax.

The food here is pretty solid especially being close to the woodland zoo. Coffee is great here. Try out the matcha latte, the flavors really mix together well and is delicious. All the pastry on the counter looks delicious. I also tried the sunrise burrito which is premade and warmed up. The insides of mine came a bit cold or not fully hot but isn't wasn't too bad. Also got the startup which is a egg sandwich which I would recommend. I think the picking up process is a bit confusing and it's too easy to take the wrong order. I think something like calling names for the order would really ease the confusion rather than just calling out the drinks especially for people like me who have never been and know the menu. Overall a tasty place though!

Seattle is filled with coffee shops and bakeries, and my eyes and my bank account are on two different budgets. We'll talk about that later... Anways, Fresh Flours! Started by two Japanese friends, their menu features fresh laminated pastries with a hint of Asian flavors. I got their blackberry danish with an oat milk cappuccino. The danish was heavenly. Flaky, airy, and not dense, it was everything a danish should be. The blackberry custard/jam was sweet and tart, a creamy contrast to the flaky pastry. The coffee was a bit light in my opinion, and I wished it was stronger. Service was okay, not the most friendly, but it was still professional and as it should be. There are better coffee options in Seattle, and I would come here for pastries next time!

This one isn't nearly as comfortable as its SLU location. I was a bit disappointed with its outdated furniture and worn string-woven chairs. The coffee and food quality is about the same, with a few more options from the fridge. I would treat it as a convenient neighborhood coffee shop and not somewhere I would take someone to.

Delicious pastries and coffee! This was my first visit, and I'll admit it was pretty overwhelming. So many options and the line was long but moved quickly. I let a few people go ahead of me while I dealt with my indecisiveness. Finally decided on a swiss and onion croissant, oat milk latte, peanut butter and a chocolate cookie. The latte was smooth and the perfect temperature. The croissant was flaky and full of flavor. It was so good I forced myself to eat it much slower than norm. Who cares about onion breath; it was so worth it! Of all the items purchased, this is one I'll surely return for! The peanut butter cookie was rolled in sugar - a little too sweet for me, but oh how I loved the addition of chopped peanuts. The chocolate cookie was rich and again too sweet for my taste. The customer service was great, the space is small, but there's plenty of neighborhood parking. My friend and I met on a Saturday mid morning and there was no seating available however, the neighborhood is walkable, so we took our goodies to go. I shall return to try each and every croissant option you have!

basque cake

Dropped by around 9:20A on Friday morning and the place was pretty busy with good traffic flow in and out. Ordered a mint matcha and a basque cake. Really enjoyed the mint matcha--good balance of flavors, on the sweeter side. They have an 8oz size that was perfect. The basque cake was nice in texture with a strong crust but quite plain in flavor. Would personally skip it next time.

Heavenly pastry case

I'm so lucky that this is my neighborhood cafe - it's wonderful! Their pastry case must be one of the most heavenly things on earth! Never pass up a yummy danish or an onion swiss croissant. The employees are always super friendly, there's usually a nice spot to sit, there's always a dog to pet, and they make a damn fine latte. It's a great neighborhood place, and my personal favorite coffeehouse.

Delicious coffee and pastries and yummy breakfast sandwiches! Very cute atmosphere and kind workers

I tried the fall seasonal Medici mocha with an apple cinnamon pull apart and my husband tried the cortado and a latte. The quality is great and it's one of those places that doesn't make overly sweet drinks so if you like a mocha that is very coffee forward in flavor, this is a great option. They also have vegan friendly breakfast pastries and burritos so you can accommodate multiple people of varying diets. Baristas are friendly and make conversation while you wait, even when it's a little busy. It has a few tables and the typical noise of a cafe, so feel free to if into their WiFi if you want to work from somewhere other than home if that's your style. Overall great experience and I think the seasonal specials are worth a trip if you're looking for a little more fun!

And a shoutout to the server for toasting my scone. It came out warm, not dry, not too cheesy, just how I like it. Matcha latte w/ almond milk was alright, knowing this can't be compared to what I can get at tea cafes. I love how they make this place green w/ all sorts of indoor plants. Plants do light up the area and mood given that Seattle can be so gloomy around this time. Def coming back if I'm in the area again.
