The bread was fluffy and delicious. The chicken katsu sandwich was good, wishing this was a standard on the menu long term. The service was okay, there was a long line out the door but moved quickly, they are dog friendly and have lots of outdoor covered seating. No indoor seating. We had to wait for a table but the food quickly came out. I will probably need to go back to try more of their pastries by 1pm they were pretty much out of most of the options!

First time trying Saint Bread around 2pm on a Saturday. Line out the door. Order at the counter and take a number for food delivering. Picnic table seating with roof top covering & partial walls. The Saint Burger was pretty good; nice and and tasty, cheesy, and saucey. For me it was probably a top-5 burger experience, though I'd like it if it had a bit of crunch with the lettuce or something else. Otherwise very good. Place is dog friendly with a few dog water bowls out and staff offering to give your puppy dog bones and pets.

I'm a huge BEC girl. I'll always try it on any/every menu if it's an option. And I have to say- their bacon/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich AND fries are some of the best I've had in Seattle. This isn't an exaggeration. I'm also a huge fries girl, and when I tell you this is some of the best fries I've had, I'm not joking. It was perfectly hot, crisp but soft, and there was a slightly reddish seasoning that just brought it all together. I wasn't expecting much when I got to Saint Bread, so this combo was an absolute pleasure. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I did order their apple loaf, and it was really not to my liking. It was dry and flavorless. Others may like it but it just wasn't my thing. Ample seating outside, friendly service, and great food. Will absolutely be back to try their smash burger with their perfect fries.

Stopped by after a visit to UW Medical Center. Very little parking close by. I ordered the cardamon croissant and a bun- I think it had saffron and a sprinkling of coarse salt. Had the croissant right away and boy was it delicious. Very flakey and buttery. I couldn't taste cardamom-maybe I misunderstood and it was just a croissant. Didn't eat the bun 'til the next morning so can't really rate a day-old bakery item, but any spice was not really discernible. The fellow at the cash register was friendly.

This place has been on my list to check out for a long time but sadly it was disappointing. Overall it was just okay. The Okinawa toast was pretty unimpressive. The cardamon roll was actually better! The place was extremely busy with students, and there isn't much room to stand around, so it felt cramped and jammed while waiting. That said, the lattes were actually good and probably the highlight of the visit. Parking: there's a meter parking lot near by, it was $4 for 2 hours. Not bad!

I've read so many raving reviews, so my first experience visiting the store was a disappointment. I came for the famous cardamom croissant, which I was told usually sells out by 10AM. It was Friday with decent weather aka no rain, so by noon, there weren't many pastries left. I waited in line for about 25 minutes, and ended up getting a savory scone (pancetta and pepper, it was way too salty) and a chocolate chip cookie (it's nothing special).

Finally gave Saint Bread a try! This place is super popular and busy so seems there is always a wait. I waited a bit but it was a nice sunny day and I was in no rush. The staff is friendly and hard working. Ambiance is bright, modern, and hip. I decided to order the cardamom twist pastry to try while I waited for the Cinnamon-Okinawan Sugar Toast I also ordered. Both were tasty. Definitely some yummy pastries here. I'll have to order a drink next time and come earlier in the morning and not pm time so I can snag some of the other pastries to try!

Come for the smash burger and also pick up some of their rotating pastries! And eat on the large and well heated patio. There's ample seating and they make the food quickly. This is a solid spot in my local restaurant rotation.

Revisiting this bakery because last trip it was my #1 bakery . The line out the door made sense since this bakery is closest to the University. The students are fortunate to be near a place that sells quality treats. Unfortunately my favorite was not available. So disappointed, I purchased nothing but others in our group got a pecan pull apart, a rhubarb small tart, and a beautiful mini sugared cardamom loaf. Unfortunately all three were dry on the inside. Must've hit Saint bread on a bad day.

Wow, I love this place! I've had the burger a few times now, and I will say it is fantastic. The flavor, textures, and overall appeal is fantastic. The food does take awhile to be served, but it is well worth it. I also enjoyed their loaded fries, the flavor was immaculate. The outdoor seating is very nice, right by the water. And it is not cold at all with the heaters and shelter. Again, it is a bit of a wait for the food, yet it is fantastic. (Additionally, I did add bacon and an extra patty to my burger - definitely recommend).

Food - we got 3 different items. the cinnamon toast, avo toast, & pineapple bun. everything was so good. check out the pics, the bread is nice & thick. Service - friendly & helpful. just got our food to go & sat outside. Ambiance - basically any place that has a patio will get a good ambiance rating from me. the summers in seattle really make you want to be outdoors. there are two different decks, one has a view of the water.

I came back here to try the Chocolate Chip Cookie bc I saw it was raved about as one of the best in Seattle and picked up an order of the Doubutsu Fries as well. The cookie was large and worth the price, with chewy edges and a soft center. A bit too many salt flakes for my liking, but I usually prefer my cookies without. 8/10 The Doubutsu Fries massively let me down. The 20-30 min wait to get them clearly did not contribute to their quality bc the fries came out so hard and crunchy, there wasn't even soft potato left in the middle. The seasoning was also clearly added as an afterthought on the top rather than tossing the fries in it. I ordered these to-go and was eating them as I walked away, hoping that this was just the state of some of the fries and not all, but unfortunately that was not the case. 1/10 The cookie could have saved them, but the fries put the nail in the coffin for this being my last visit to Saint Bread.

Unfortunately, Saint Bread didn't quite live up to the expectation. Saint Bread offers a fun Asian twist on most of their menu options, from coffee to entrees. Their baked goods are quite good, but their food items fell flat. We went to Saint Bread for lunch on a Saturday on a rainy day and they still had a long line out the door. They were already out of baked goods, which we expected, so we just ordered off of their normal menu. Their options are pretty limited and relatively basic despite some added Asian flare. The taste of the food was also nothing special. The store only has outdoor seating, but it's very large and has heating for cold days. All the tables are long tables with benches to share, so if you'd prefer a private table to eat, I'd recommend finding somewhere else for the occasion. Saint Bread is a pretty casual establishment with a lot of hype, but I didn't find it was worth the hype. Even though the baked goods are tasty, the constant long line doesn't necessarily make them worth the wait, especially if you're looking for a meal as well.

I originally planned to just grab a coffee and a croissant, but after noticing how popular the mushroom Gruyere croissant seemed, I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. It was incredibly delicious, perfectly filling, and even better when warmed up. The staff member kindly offered to heat it for me, which really elevated the whole experience. While they serve Umbria coffee, which isn't my personal favorite, the food more than made up for it. The service was warm and friendly, and the overall vibe was welcoming. I'll definitely be back to try the mushroom croissant again or maybe explore some of their other pastries next time.

I made the mistake of ordering a banh mí because I needed lunch and saw it advertised on their chalk board tent sign outside on the sidewalk. I'm sure everything else is great, except this. I waited 5 minutes to be served a cold sandwich. When I asked if I could warm it up, they said it would be another 7 minutes. It wasn't busy, not sure why the long and specific wait. Like everything else, this was incredibly overpriced. The only disappointment was that I would rather order a banh mí from an authentic Vietnamese restaurant than a French bakery (yes, I know about the colonialism involved).

Through several visits: Baguette, Large ($7.95) - Great baguette with bubbling golden exterior complete with the perfectly baked crust even after waiting 3 hours before cutting in and eating. The interior has the perfect moisture level and is delightfully soft and chewy. The taste overall has a deep developed flavor. This is a great baguette. The only problem - the price. I can find ones for half the price that are maybe 80% as good as this one. (5/5) Seasonal Biscuit ($4.50) - This biscuit definitely isn't Southern-style. It's more of a drop biscuit, combining a relatively soft and tender interior with a nice exterior crust, without any flakiness or layering. The interior is almost cake-like in texture and crumb, and is plenty moist. They add plenty of fresh black pepper inside. It's distributed very evenly, giving a peppery bite with every mouthful. Parmesan is added to the top of the biscuit before baking, giving plenty of umami and richness but only on the upper layer. (4/5) Green Vinaigrette Cafeteria Style Pizza ($6.25) - The pizza is kept under a warming lamp, so it starts getting a little dried out after I assume a couple of hours spent there. I do love the base though - it's focaccia-like giving a really crunchy dark golden brown crust underneath, which supports the toppings. The pizza slice has lots of structural integrity and doesn't flop over. There's a base of fragrant concentrated tomato paste-like flavor which is topped with a very even layer of cheese. Since it's warmed rather than freshly baked, the cheese starts congealing a bit. The cheese is peppered with parsley, garlic, and a bunch of mustard seeds, giving a special zing. The toppings go all the way to the sides of the pie, making it great for people who dislike crust. Even though it's cafeteria style pizza that's kept under heat lamps, I quite liked it. I wonder if I can get a really fresh slice if I get there right at 11AM when lunch starts. (5/5) Chocolate Croissant ($6.10) - Great lamination with a very aesthetic honeycomb pattern. Baked on the harder side, causing fantastic crispy flaky layers to flake off, but also creating a darker golden brown character that is on the verge of bitterness. Nicely buttery soft and chewy interior. Chocolate is a darker variety, probably somewhere around 70%, so it has a pleasing balanced sweetness and chocolate flavor. It's not typical baton, instead seems to be a section from a bar. Still warm and melty even through I didn't eat the croissant until ~30 minutes after purchasing. When cooled down further, some red fruity notes start appearing, so this seems to be be pretty high quality. (5/5) White Sourdough ($12.60) - Now this is a loaf of bread. Superb crust, probably 2 or 3 times as thick compared to competitors, creating a supreme crusty bite with a chew approaching a hard crunch with almost caramelized molasses notes on the bottom. The interior is moist and tender with a pleasing slight sourdough tang. It's a superb piece of craftsmanship. (5/5) Kouign Amann ($5.80) - This is another heavier bake with some acridity development on the top surface. Unlike many other bakeries where the kouign amann is basically a differently shaped croissant with sugar glaze, Sea Wolf's version feels more in line with tradition. The crumb is denser and richer, more like brioche. There's interesting black speckling inside which I believe is due to the inclusion of espresso powder given the mild coffee-like flavor. The crust is again baked hard, but it's lighter and not as flaky as the croissant. They sprinkle just a bit of salt on top of a very light caramelized sugar glaze. It's not very sweet and I didn't find it too salty unlike some other reviewers. (5/5) Plain Focaccia Slice ($4.80) - Good quality olive oil, some salt sprinkled on top to boost the flavors. Light and airy interior, but the exterior is a little wan, being more light golden brown and lacking some good crusty crisp especially on the fried bottom. Quite oily. (4/5) Sea Wolf gives out free sourdough starter, which can be requested from the cashier. Since picking it up several weeks ago, I've gone through several feed/bake cycles for making sourdough focaccia. I've visited Sea Wolf 3 or 4 times in the last month. That's a testament to how high quality their pastries and breads are. I think the only thing stopping me from visiting more is thanks to the starter I got from them fanning my baking instincts. I bake so much now that I don't have any need to buy their bread! Note: Sea Wolf charges a 3% credit card fee. This is not noted on their menu - it only appears in the POS right before paying. Kind of sketchy. Bathrooms - Single unisex room

The kitchen is open, so you can watch as all of the scrumptious pastries are made. I liked the vibe here a lot. The space is shared with a bagel shop, but there is plenty of room for everyone. Service was fine. The line moved fast, and the prices were reasonable, comparable to other bakeries in Seattle. While I enjoyed the vibe at Sea Wolf Bakers a lot, I didn't think their pastries and coffee were nearly as good as some others I tried in Seattle. The espresso shot I tried was extremely bitter and just not as smooth as it should have been. The savory croissant was ok, but it lacked any big flavors, and the texture wasn't really croissant-like. The hit cross bun was just unimpressive and not very good at all. Overall, I would probably skip Sea Wolf Bakers next time. It's ok, but there are so many other amazing bakeries too. Maybe I tried the wrong stuff?

There really has been no rhyme or reason on when there are long or short lines, but for your sake, hope that you get a short line.
