We had the beef and onion, salmon pate, orange creme (2), and curry chicken rice. They were all amazing but my favorite was the salmon pate. Salmon is one of my top three fishes to eat. The staff were very fast and quick. Prefect for the set up at pike place market and all of their pastries were easy to eat while walking around. But they also have a table set up right outside. They had a line set up outside to make it easier for those walking on the sidewalk with directions on where to walk inside and exit. And menu signs on the line and inside. There's almost always a line out the door, but thankfully it moves pretty quickly, just enough time for you to decide what you want. The downside is that service and interaction feels pretty minimal and rushed, as the staffs understandably try to keep the line moving. There are plenty of savory and sweet pastries to choose from. I went with the Potato&Cheese which is one of the best sellers. The first couple bites were solid, you can tell it's freshly made. However around halfway point, the subtle flavors started to feel a bit repetitive and I had a hard time finishing it. I did a ton of research prior to my trip and found this food establishment. It had great reviews. What they didn't say was there will be a long line to get in. What a line!!! They have a switchback line in the street across from the restaurant as they don't want you blocking the sidewalks. Smart move. We really wanted to eat here, so on Sunday we arrived at around 8 am and there wasn't a line. We had the best breakfast. I ordered the egg, hash browns, and cheese. It was warm, soft, and filling. I also got the apple blossom which was really good. I loved the fresh fruit in my pastry. For dessert I got the chocolate hazelnut one. I was so full that I haven't finished it yet. I highly recommend you come here. Bring your patience. Also buy more than you think you will eat as it will be so good and you won't want to stand in line again. Absolutely phenomenal experience. I had four different pastries, and they were all top tier. The best piroshky was the chicken curry, insanely flavorful. I also loved the salmon pate, it had a great salmon flavor without being overpowering. Next I tried their summer special, the bacon cheeseburger piroshky, which had a bit of a mushy texture, but still a yummy cheeseburger flavor. Finally, I also ordered the cinnamon cardamom braid. My husband has been huge fan of Piroshky since his early college days when he used to stay in Seattle. The crowd for this place literally has stayed lively and the service was excellent, managing long line efficiently. This place was recommended to us and we were warned about the long lines. We went on a Monday morning and there was only about a dozen people in line. The shop is tiny and there were three women behind the counter. One was stocking, one grabbed our orders while the other rang it up. Everything went quick and smooth. They were a lifesaver and comforting treat during the Covid Pandemic and they are located in the fabulous and historic Pike Place Market-- the best location of all their storefronts! My go-to is their Beef & Cheese Piroshky. When in season, I get a Beef & Cheese Piroshky and a side of their steaming hot Borscht soup w/ a dollop of sour cream on top. It is the perfect pairing and the perfect meal on a chilly Seattle day! When Borscht is not available and I want to eat and dunk my savory piroshky in soup, I found that buying a cup of Original Clam Chowder at nearby Pike Place Chowder is a very delicious thing. We came here because of the rave reviews but I was underwhelmed. First, I'm half Ukrainian, so I grew up eating piroshky made by a born-in-Ukraine grandma, but these were not authentic piroshky. Yes, I get it, the salmon is the Seattle fusion, but the style of bread is not the piroshky style at all. This was tasty but it was more like a light French pastry bread than the buttery thicker bun bread of a true piroshky.
