    Smoked salmon pate

I've been to Seattle twice, and I make it a point to visit Piroshky Piroshky each time. During my most recent trip, I actually went twice on back to back days. The line can get pretty long, but it moves quickly. Here's what I've tried: Cinnamon Cardamom: 5/5 - This is my favorite pastry here. I love the cinnamon flavor and the chewy texture of the bread. Chocolate Cream Hazelnut: 4/5 - Really good. The bread is soft, and the hazelnut flavor is delicious, but the filling had more of a pudding like texture. Beef and Cheese: 4/5 - Savory and delicious. The filling reminded me of a beef empanada. Smoked Salmon Pate: 3/5 - I didn't really like this one. I enjoy smoked salmon, so I thought I would, but the flavor just wasn't for me. The prices are on the expensive side. I'm used to paying $3-$4 for pastries at Asian bakeries in Los Angeles, so spending $7-$8 per pastry took some getting used to.

This place was recommended to us and we were warned about the long lines. We went on a Monday morning and there was only about a dozen people in line. The shop is tiny and there were three women behind the counter. One was stocking, one grabbed our orders while the other rang it up. Everything went quick and smooth. Was in line for less than 10 minutes. Ask for a knife and fork to cut them up to share. We ordered the beef and cheese, the beef and onion, the Smoked salmon bake, and the sausage with cheddar and jalapeno. We each got to sample each other's orders. Favorite was the Sausage roll. The beef and onion was very greasy and the pastry got mushy pretty quickly. There is no place to sit so we found a counter to quickly divy up the orders and walked around while eating. I wish there was seating or high tables at least.

I've been going to Piroshky, Piroshky since they opened back in the early 90's and it's been a favorite mainstay and a must regular stop each time I'm at Pike Place Market. They were a lifesaver and comforting treat during the Covid Pandemic and they are located in the fabulous and historic Pike Place Market-- the best location of all their storefronts! My go-to is their Beef & Cheese Piroshky. When in season, I get a Beef & Cheese Piroshky and a side of their steaming hot Borscht soup w/ a dollop of sour cream on top. It is the perfect pairing and the perfect meal on a chilly Seattle day! When Borscht is not available and I want to eat and dunk my savory piroshky in soup, I found that buying a cup of Original Clam Chowder at nearby Pike Place Chowder is a very delicious thing. My other top favorites are their Potato and Cheese Piroshky, plus several of their sweet piroshky such as their Rhubarb, Marzipan Roll, Chocolate Cream Hazelnut Roll, and Moscow Roll.

Another 5 star review! Always have to stop here when in Seattle. Salmon is my favorite and I don't stray away from that. They stay very busy here but the line moves quickly and they get you in & out. We have now been here two days in a row, and if I am completely honest we will probably stop in one more time before we leave

Piroshky Piroshky is a famous spot at Pike Place Market. It's in the block across from the vintage public market sign.I came on a weekday noon and there was a line. Luckily it moved quickly. I tried their best selling salmon pate and beef & cheese flavors. The price isn't cheap, but the portions are reasonable. I enjoyed the salmon pate's creamy texture, dill seasoning, and pastry bread. However, I was not a fan of the beef and cheese - there was a gamey, funky flavor that didn't sit right with me. Overall, it's an iconic place that I think visitors should try at least once.

This is an iconic place at pike Place. I have been going there for almost 20 years! The staff is friendly and the line moves fast! They have some seasonal flavors, and this time I got one of them, the one with cream cheese, hazelnut cream, it was delicious! I believe it's called the Oscar star. I also tried their uli sausage piroshky. There are a couple of seats outside the store, but the store itself is tiny with just space for you to order and pay. If you're visiting Seattle must try, and specially this location at pike place, since they have other branches

Whenever we are in Seattle, we have to stop by here to get their salmon piroshky. It is our absolutely favorite thing to get here!

A busy little spot with a long but quick line! Indoor space is very small, no seating but there is seating towards the market! Service was great, so helpful for a first timer. Ordered the Caramel Apple Pie which was delicious! Would like to come back and try more.

I don't know what the fuss is about this place. I was able to walk right in. They have a list of best sellers. So I asked for two, a meet and the orange cream. Then I saw they had an almond and asked to change my orange for it. Well I lost my beef. Ugh. So the almond one tasted like there was lemon in it... idk if that was supposed to be in it. But it was very unappetizing. The orange cream was very mushy. I would not got back.

Only walk up at Century Plaza on Saturday. Hot fresh and delicious. A perfect on the run lunch or snack

We stopped by Piroshky Piroshky on our recent trip to Seattle, and it was so good that we went back again before leaving. My favorite pastry we tried was the beef & cheese, and my husband's favorite was the beef & onion. Both of these were packed with flavor. The outside of the beef & cheese was similar to a super soft roll, while the beef & onion was thicker overall and had a more flaky outside. We both really liked the smoked salmon pate. We also tried the Uli's sausage jalapeño, which was ok but probably our least favorite of these four. There was a line out front both times, but it moved pretty fast. If we are back in the future, I would love to try their sweet items too.

OMG this hole in the wall at Pike Place Market rules! Waiting in the Russian Bread lines with my comrades for a Piroshky is a must experience when traveling through the public market.. These pockets of gold are filled with a scrumptious meats , cheeses and much more goodies. Franks favorite is the Beef & Onion Piroshky. It's robust combination of meat & onion mix coursing through a flaky pastry. You can eat this anytime of day. Very flavorful and filling but leaves you craving for more, it's a good addiction to have in moderation. Just a note most of the time a line exists so don't cut cause it's rude. Do your pre-order research so you don't over stay your welcome trying to figure out what to order. Last and it's the most important thing is don't bite into right away. They can have extremely hot goo inside inside so if you don't want your mouth burnt you'll heed my warning... Come as Putin and you may get a free one but wear a shirt! Seriously these are the best under $8 treats you'll purchase in Seattle..

Great pastries! Really wanted to try the beef and cheese but they were out of:( The salmon one and the potato one were still great! We ate at a park nearby due to limited seating

Does it need to be refrigerated right away, I want to grab some before my flight out?

Flight Attendant here. We grabbed a bunch and took with us on the plane. They do not appear to be quickly perishable.

Does the piroshki dough contain egg?

Their ingredients list mentions that the piroshkies contain egg, but not explicitly in the dough. It's listed as part of the egg wash and usually as part of the filling. Looks like each piroshky gets an egg wash.

Will you be open 4th of July day?

How does online ordering work? Separate pickup line?

Yes. There's separate pick up line near the exit

What are the wait times like? (trying to gauge fri)

Lines can be long, but it moves fairly quickly. There is an employee who assist in that process.

Do you sell cranberry apple flavor? It was sold for many MANY years, and now I don't see it in the online menu.

Hi Olive, we currently do not have the cranberry apple Piroshky but keep a look out because it may come back as a seasonal item!

Do you sell frozen or chilled pastries in store to pick up?

No, we do not. Frozen items are only available through pre-order or as an In Store Pickup from South Park.

Are they not doing shipping across the U.S. anymore? Goldbelly states it's "sold out" for the past few months.

I might get in trouble, for saying this, but DM them on FB/IG and, they'll get back to you! ;)

Are there gluten free options? It comes up for gluten free food search but no specific information

I can say from recent experience due to COVID 19 - they did have gluten free options as I recall.

Are there any dairy free items?

Yes! They have vegan items 🤗

Are there any gluten free options?

I don’t think so... at least i didn’t see any..

    Any vegan options?

Yes! They now have a vegan optoon

The croissant was on the crispier side, especially with the almond crumble on top it was a bit too cripsy for me, but I tend to like soft and flakey pastries so it's probably a matter of taste. There was a TON of almond filling in the middle. I enjoyed the taste and texture but it was too much filling for me personally. I would have liked more croissant in my croissant, so to say haha. The chocolate was slightly dark which worked well with the sweet pastry and filling! Overall I enjoyed the croissant but it was a tad too heavy on the filling and cripsy/crunchy for me.
