California Dream on Sourdough
Jan S.

Walked in and ordered the California Dream. Was as described and delicious. Very friendly and pretty quick. Large selection of chips. They have beer and wine as well and some great candy to choose from.

Breakfast burrito. Sausage, cheese, and egg only.

Cute little place to grab breakfast on the weekend if your hotel switches to continental. We got a breakfast burrito and egg/turkey muffin. Both were decent. There were no bacon and potatoes offered but again, not the end of the world. Breakfast burritos really simple. It only included eggs, sausage, and cheese. Store had wine and a bunch of snacks also. In addition to the breakfast sandwiches people got a bunch of boars head sandwiches. Everything is decently price Definitely stop by if you're downtown and need a change of pace on the food you're eating at the hotel.

Roast Beef Sandwich

I stumbled upon this convenience store/ sandwich shop while staying in downtown Seattle. This place was a nice break from all of the other expensive restaurants and shops in downtown. Most sandwiches average $12-14; labeled as boars head meat. There are a few stools inside for eating/ waiting. I ordered a Turkey and roast beef sandwich one day; loved it and came back the next day to order a tuna sandwich. It's nothing extravagant; it's ultimately a deli sandwich. However, they take their time to cut the many vegetables; included plenty of meat with cheese; and nicely toasted it at the end. It tasted great! One of the best items I tasted throughout the week (and I went to all of the local, touristy, expensive, and brand name places 2-3 times a day, for 6 days).

Pastrami

Super close to the Westin and Sheraton hotels. I walked here because I was hungry at around 9pm and all the restaurants in Seattle seem to close early, but I'm so happy I found it. I got the pastrami with pesto instead of horse radish and it was amazing. Also you have to try their pickles. I like how this place has a large selection of chips and drinks as well, super different from any sandwich place I've been to.

Classic Reuben Sandwich

Deli market with quite a bit of snacks, drinks and of course sandwiches. Great place to grab a bite to eat when you want to grab an go. Great option for food in your room when staying near the Seattle Convention center. Sandwich prices where about $15 bucks a piece. Drink prices vary. I'd return again.

#7 Mesquite Smoked Turkey Sandwich

Hubba Hubba, Get in my mouth!! An unassuming bodega with a whole lot of surprising options. They're known for their sandwiches and man they are delicious! I ordered the mesquite Turkey, heated, and it is so good! The honey mustard is the perfect condiment to go with this Smokey Turkey. Highly recommend coming here. They have all sorts of sandwich options, including breakfast. Not just sandwiches but loads of chips, drinks, and candies. It's connected to the Grand Hyatt hotel and they're open late: 8am - midnight!

Roast Beef Sandwich on light rye

During a trip to Seattle, we checked out this late night deli & convenience store. The sandwich was so good. Should have gone here for dinner instead of just a late night snack. Highly recommend. Besides the great deli, they offer snacks, drinks, beer, wine, etc for sale. Walking distance to our Sheraton Hotel.

Great place! Hot and cold sandwiches, endless beer choices, snacks, in an expensive hotel and it's a bargain!

Pretty good food & prices. Great for breakfast in a pinch. Very convenient that there's an entrance into the grand Hyatt.

Very little meat on a $15 sandwich that was mostly bread. I would expect about twice as much meat than what they gave you. Disappointed.

He didn't have to do that and it was such a kind and generous offer. What a genuine and caring establishment. Also that matzo ball soup was better than my Jewish grandmother's! Bonus: this spot is kosher! Potato Latkes (5/5): These latkes are thick boys and fried up so they're piping hot when they hit the table. Because of their size, you really get the contrast of the hard crunch on the outside with super fluffy potato inside. So good we immediately turned around and ordered more. Chocolate Babka (2/5): This was truly the only miss I've had here. Unfortunately, the babka just really dries out after it's been sliced, which is a shame because it's just gorgeous with generous swirls of chocolate inside. Reuben (5/5): I really thought their pastrami couldn't be beat, but the brisket is dare I say better? Just as tender and feels a bit less fatty, so it's a little more crushable. Tip: go for the seeded rye over the marbled rye; something about the marbled rye just falls apart a bit more with the juices of the meat, though it's still delicious! Black & White Cookies (4/5): I expected this to be cloyingly sweet, but this was actually scrumptious with some fresh lemon flavor in the cookie itself. Absolutely massive as well.

Then you chose to increase prices and decrease the quantity, which didn't make sense. Less for more? What a waste of a great idea - greed is why your business model didn't work. Your business was so hot when it opened and it actually went downhill about 6 years ago and I am not sad to see you go. Josh - to respond to your comment. My note should have inspired some reflection with the business model but it didn't. Your level of greed was insane and that is not forgiven here. You started hot and decided to squeeze more than your share from this business and this is what happens. You messed around and found out. It's sad because I actually supported the business when it opened but quickly had to end my dealings due to the high level of greed. You did this to your own business by wanting more, more and more, so please don't play the victim here. I'm sorry that you're saddened by this but what you did to the community is far worse than what I said. Actually ripping people off with your product is not having humanity. I'm not the inhumane one here and let's get that straight. I didn't rip people off - you did! You got what you deserved and that's that. You likely have time to turn things around but I doubt you can reduce your greed in time. If you do, I'll gladly come back and support yall. Again - food was great and greed was not.

I'd heard they were good, but holy smokes, I didn't realize they would be *that* good. Here are my recommendations: - Get the Tatstrami. Its combination of flavors is so freaking good. - Order online and then sweep in and pick it up. Since the place does most of its business during lunchtime, there's always a line and this is a way to skip that. If you want to venture beyond a pastrami sandwich, I highly recommend the chicken cheesesteak. While I normally opt for beef when it comes to cheesesteaks, Tat's actually isn't amazing but their chicken one is. So get that instead. In short, this is tied with Dingfelders for the best sandwich in Seattle. Pay it a visit and bring your appetite.
