Bests eggs benedict I have EVER had! Stopped in for breakfast with family, had a quick 5 minute or so wait, and we were brought over to our table. Menu is your typical breakfast fare, but so much better. I had the California eggs benedict, and they were so yummy and delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the hollandaise sauce was a light lemony perfection. And let's talk for a minute about the mountain on buttery hash browns that my breakfast came with...OMG! I kept telling myself to stop eating them, but I just couldn't. Glo's offers several specials as well, plus a cocktail menu to go along with the various food items. Staff is great, and the restaurant is super clean. Looking forward to visiting Glo's on my next trip to the area. read more

Honestly, I rarely write Yelp reviews but I genuinely think other people need to be warned about this place. The photos on Yelp make it seem like a great brunch place, but do not be fooled. Their service is genuinely atrocious and I wish I had read the other reviews prior. Not only did my group (of 5) have to wait beyond their estimated 25-45 minute wait period and ended up waiting over an hour to be seated and an additional 45 minutes for food to come out after ordering, we were met with the most abominable treatment ever. The hostesses have nothing but hatred in their attitude and it makes me wonder why they even want a job at this point. The main hostess was giving my group dirty stank eyes because 40 minutes into waiting we decided to ask for an update and they responded with a snarky remark that our group was large and needed to wait. There were plenty of empty tables that could have been pushed together but they would only seat us at the booth seats, which they only had 2 tables for. They sat numerous other large groups before us as well, even though they came after us, but their groups were of White people rather than people of color. Coincidence? I think not. Later, I had asked a different hostess if they had a bathroom to which she stared at me and just said yes and then stopped responding. I had to prompt her to tell me where it was...like is this not common sense that I was asking where it was? The server himself was actually really great and kind, but it could not make up for the horrible treatment we received from the hostesses throughout the entire time, and I can't help but feel it was racially based as my group was all Asian and almost all other customers were White. The food itself wasn't the worst but it does not make up for the lack of service either. If I were the boss, I would remove the hostesses who are causing this lack of service to customers. It seems like I am not the only one who received poor treatment after reading other Yelpers reviews. It's insane to me that in this day and age, and especially in an area so close to Seattle, we can still experience these outdated and cruel treatments of racism and ignorance. Overall, I wish I could rate this place a 0/5, but Yelp simply doesn't allow that. I hope you guys think again before coming here to eat, unless you like being demeaned before a meal. read more

The price for the service we got is definitely not worth it. The server we had with the curly hair and lost boy shirt was lowkey kind of rude and had attitude. They seemed annoyed with us while taking our order, which is weird cause they were smiley and friendly with every other table who were not minority. Not saying that they're racist, but I did not feel welcome at all. Felt like we were being a hassle for them dining in around the first half of service hours. Good was mediocre and salty. First time trying their new location, but not first time here. We loved Glo's and it's only gotten better since the move. We both got the specials and they were able to accommodate my cow dairy allergy. Everything was super delicious and the new space is clean and spacious but still feels cozy and retro diner-y. 100% our go to and we will be back. The only way they could possibly improve is if they added a patio so you could eat outside and bring your dog. I give 3.5 stars-- there's a wait time almost every-time, they're super busy! 30-45 minute wait. The cafe is pretty small, not much waiting seat areas, so you'll have to take a walk or sit outside. My husband and I came on a Sunday after a lovely stroll through the farmers market. Order: Salmon Benedict with hash browns: Super delicious, the hash browns were my favorite. Crispy, generous portion, tasteful just a bit overly salted. The Benedict was difficult to cut through but it was still so super filling and good :) Azzy Special: Veggies and Hash. Wow, this is one of our favorite breakfasts we ever had! This place reminded me of the suburban diners I grew up with but now placed in Capitol Hill. The menu already looked so great online, and then we were pleasantly surprised to see a Specials menu along with Secret Aardvark Hot Sauce as part of the standard sauces on our table when we were seated. We ended up getting the Pesto Omelet special item and the Eggs Benedict, and both were so delicious and huge. I get weary sometimes when breakfast places serve large portions because sometimes it is at the sacrifice of the quality, but that was not an issue at all here at all--in fact, the vegetables in my omelet, particularly the tomatoes, were some of the most flavorful I've ever had in an omelet. The coffee drinks here are also great--I really enjoyed my cortado during breakfast. The staff were also so very kind throughout, and the dining room felt quite spacious and not too crammed. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Everything was INCREDIBLE. This is not your average diner food experience. The service was absolutely amazing, every single person is so friendly! However, I've heard many good things about Glo's over the years, but never got the chance to actual see so for myself until recently. Great place for breakfast and brunch. This was close to our airbnb and I was really craving Benny eggs and wanted to get my fill. It was a Saturday so we knew everywhere we went it was going to be busy but I didn't expect this place to be that popular but it was haha. We arrived before 10am I think and it was a 45min to 1 hour wait and there were at least 12 people ahead of me. I put my name down anyways and kept checking with the staff if anything would open up at the bar for 3 people I would take it. After just 15-20min wait 3 seats cleared at the bar and we were able to be accommodated- yay! Food came relatively fast and it was super yummy. Portions are huge so next time I would share. We had the egg hashnrown plate, the smoked salmon Benny plate and kids egg plate with hashbrown. Food was very tasty and staff was friendly. Their drip coffee hit the spot. The only thing I didn't like was seeing drug addicts right outside the restaurant who could be seen when you wait for the bathroom. The food was good but at what cost. I put name down around 12 for 3 people, with an 2 hour wait time estimate, which I fully understood and agreed to. I received a text at 1:04 that our table was ready and went inside to check in, the host let us know that we were 1 minute over the 10 minute period in which you had to check in. This is my ideal breakfast spot. Diner, great service, large portions, fast prep, and delish. We put our name on the list and were told a 30 minute wait, but 15 later we were seated. Now this place, is the best breakfast spot in all of Capitol Hill, and possibly all of Seattle. Gosh darn I love diner food! Fair prices, incredible quality, and the kindest service. Our food came out so quick too. We also ordered the coffee cake, and it is absolutely a must try! Buttery warm and sweet, I couldn't get enough of it. They also have super yummy breakfast sausage here, which you can truly taste the quality.
