    Pork chop! Huge and amazing!
    Anne M.

Have wanted to visit here for a long time and finally did so recently. It is a wonderful little restaurant with a great Bavarian feel, very clean and good parking options. The menu is a good size, and had plenty of variety. We ordered the pork chop and the pork schnitzel. The entrees come with two side options. The staff were quick and polite. Great meal, good value and look forward to trying the other menu options.

Stopped in for a lunch with family on this most recent visit to Europa. They offer a couple of dishes that don't include meat, but it's mostly a pork heavy menu. Lots of Polish and German dishes and of course, beer. 'Cause what's a German meal without a German beer? Wait to be seated, on this visit the waitress/hostess let us pick the table of our choice. There were a couple other guests seated when we arrived for an early lunch. The decor is rustic and homey. The menu is a variety of schnitzels and a few more 'standard' items if you are not into the European cuisine. Portions here are quite large and most of us took food home. I added a 'green salad' to my sauerbraten which is a light, iceberg lettuce based side with feta and dried cranberries. The meat was tender and lean. My SO had his schnitzel and a liter of beer, which is what he gets most times, but not always. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Parking is behind the building. Restrooms are in a short hallway off the dining area, are large, clean and wheelchair accessible. No steps to get into the building. Guten apetite.

My family and I were staying in Seattle for a few days and were trying to find a restaurant for dinner that everyone could enjoy. We love good European food, especially Polish food. We stumbled upon this page on yelp and thought it may be a good fit. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and it was not very busy. We were quickly seated and brought drinks. I as well as my sister and mom ordered the polish platter, my step dad the reuben and my son just wanted spaetzel with butter and cheese which they happily obliged. We also ordered pierogies for the table as well as pretzels. The food was done in about 10-15 minutes. The food was amazing. The pierogies were freshly made and served with sauteed onions. I do wish they came with sour cream as well. The cabbage roll was wonderful. The sausage very flavorful and perfectly cooked. I am not a mustard person, but I actually enjoyed the mustard as well. My son loved his spaetzel and devoured it quickly so he had a pretzel as well. All of the food was fantastic. The service was great as well. It was very welcoming and we had one of the best meals of our trip at Europa.

The hangover soup was fantastic!!! And I really loved their hard rolls that come with the soup. Nothing more perfect on a cold day. We also recently shared a Reuben sandwich. It was huge! Easily able to share it. The bread, meat, cheese ratio was fantastic. The white bread was perfect! Sadly the sauerkraut was not crunchy nor strong tasting and I wished I could have tasted it more. But the temperature was hot hot hot and spot on. Although it may have melted the Thousand Island dressing a bit too much. Regardless I will be back for more soup!!!

    Big ass pilsner!

Been in twice and am STILL drooling over the jagerschnitzel. We love the dumplings and I get the red cabbage - husband likes the sauerkraut. The pilsner is also tasty - but the large is NO JOKE. LOL! I love the food here!

Let me start with saying the service was stellar. The waitress/hostess was super helpful and kind especially with dietary restrictions! The decor and building were also fabulous, love the European feel. However..... the food was really a 5/10 for both of us. Hangover soup was wonderful Borscht, tasted old and meat was so dry, even in the soup. Potato salad over salted and nothing special Cabbage rolls okay, not a lot of flavor, brown gravy, salty and nothing special in any way. Wiener schnitzel portion size was large, meat kind of dry. Cucumber salad yummy! Mashed Potatoes tasted like cafeteria food. It may be because we came for lunch, maybe dinner is better? We will try it again just because the service was so great.

Wanting to have some German food so we trekked on over to Black Diamond to check out the food here. It was actually "Linner" as we arrived around 2 pm so we had the place pretty much to ourselves. The decor and ambience had hunting lodge vibe with wood interior and a fireplace-quite nice! Our server was very nice and helpful with the menu choices-patient too as we couldn't decide what to get for the longest time. One disappointment though-we had read about the pork shank in other reviews and was set on trying it. Alas, it wasn't available til mid June. I think the frikdeller was the favorite- kind of like highly seasoned meat loaf. You had a choice of sides which I chose pickled cucumber and potato dumplings. We also ordered the jager schnitzel and the sauerbraten as well as the spätzle. We were disappointed with the sauerbraten. It was dry and not very tender. It was a skip. The jager schnitzel was tender- we would order that again. Overall, it is a nice place to get German food but I'm not sure I'd make a long trek to eat there.

Recently stopped in here for a date night with the wife…read more We've been looking for a decent replacement ever since Tacoma lost the Rhein Haus. Since my wife is of German heritage, brats and kraut are a thing in our life. The menu here looked really good, so we stopped in our 29th anniversary. I will say, there is a parking lot across the street. For those who've been in the area for a while and remember past times, it used to be a used car lot Luckily I found an empty spot on the street right out front, so I grabbed it. But yeah, parking in this area can be tricky. Just be aware that there is the lot across the street on Puyallup Avenue, the entrance is from "Court A", which looks like an alley but is technically a road. Tacoma is fun like that. So let's talk food. We ordered the Brätzel, because my wife loves a good soft pretzel with some beer cheese. This one states that it's a beer cheese soup, and it was a bit thinner than a typical beer cheese. But it had a really good flavor. It was not gritty at all like some beer cheese can be (I'm looking at you Hops&Drops). I'm not a huge pretzel fan, but I will say that I tried a portion of it and enjoyed this one. The pretzel had a good flavor and the beer cheese soup was great. We also split the Landjäger / Käse Platte. Let's get one thing clear, this thing is bigger than it looks on the menu. There's a lot here. I'm really not sure exactly which of the four cheese were which. If you go by the description on the Käse Platte then it should be Bavaria Bleu Crème, Raclette, Emmentaler and Butterkäse. The Bleu Crème is easy to spot. The rest look similar really. But each had a unique flavor and all tasted absolutely wonderful. The cured beef and pork sausages were good, but the cheese stole the show here. We also shared the Berliner Platte for a main. Again, I can not stress this enough, there is A LOT of food here. the two of us had no chance of eating all this. This plate comes with the following sausages; Berliner Bratwurst, Smoked Cheese, Spicy Cheese, Chicken Andouille & Bockwurst as well as being served with sauerkraut and you get to pick two sides. We chose the Spätzle and Pommes (fries). All of this was amazing. The spicy sausage and the andouille were too spicy for my wife, but we knew that going in. If you have a group and are wanting to sample the many wursts here, I would highly recommend this plate. Now, let's talk service. I don't remember our server's name, but she was so great. Very friendly, very tentative, very good at her job. This was exactly the kind of service I look for when I go out to a restaurant. I don't want some tablet where I'm interacting with a faceless machine, I don't want a kiosk, I want a real person who engages with us and helps make our experience the best it can be, and this place gets it. The staff here is on point, they are good, they take good care of you and the experience made s want to come back. This place is for sure at the top of our list for German food here in Tacoma. If you have not been, you need to stop by. It's not big, it's not fancy, you'll drive right by it if you aren't paying attention. But this place is by far the perfect replacement for our missing sausage haus. We are so glad we stopped in.

As we arrived, we weren't sure if needed to seat ourselves but by the time we were about to look at a sign, a kind waitress let us know that we can seat ourselves anywhere and brought us menus. I saw that they had tables with fires which was really cool but unfortunately there were a lot of people sitting there so we just sat at the longer tables. The interior of this place is huge and bright! They have plenty of seating inside and it looks like they do outdoor seating which is dog friendly. We were told that they will have days where they have musicians playing German music and that it attracts quite a large crowd. Our waitress Sara was hilarious, personable and did a great job of taking care of us. She really made the visit all the more memorable and fun! We did order a lot: Berliner Platter with chips and spatzle, Berliner Sliders with fries and a bratzel. We did not realize just how huge the portions were for everything, like the platter was going to be big but we weren't expecting the amount of food for other order. Everything tasted absolutely amazing though! We really enjoyed everything and they do not mess around with flavors cause you taste exactly what they advertised. The house made chips were also fantastic and probably some of the best I've ever had. My boyfriend and I are excited to return and definitely will be sharing this spot to others as we thought we had to drive to Leavenworth for good German food but it is closer to home than we thought!

Portions are tiny (think salad served on a teacup saucer), and they clearly cut corners on ingredients. Most dishes are bulked up with cheap fillers like rice, with barely any meat or vegetables. The names of the dishes have nothing to do with what is actually served. The food looks nothing like what you would get at any other restaurant. At best, it resembles something you might have been served in a Communist-era Budapest factory canteen in the 1980s. Owner does not take criticism well, I think she is tired and just gave up. Wake up: you will never bring the business back by cutting cost on ingredients and by serving lazy pre-cooked food. There is a market for good Hungarian food but you are just giving it a bad reputation, a disgrace.

One of the guards happens to be my exes husband. We spent $250 on a mezzanine to be left alone, had a tab of $1,000+ just to come downstairs at the end of the game to be harassed by my ex that her husband Gabriel Garcia had called up. She instigated an argument, some words were exchanged as I was leaving and instead of security getting her under control they decided to side with her because her husband happened to be security for them. I had nothing but the up most respect for him and shook his hand first thing when I came inside. He still decided to instigate a fight, even though security is there to do the EXACT opposite. I've never seen him before there the last couple of times I've been, goes to show how well they do their background checks because my man is a wannabe onlyfans model. I was upset because security wasn't hearing what I had to say so I was raising my voice to get my point across that this was simply a CONFLICT OF INTEREST and that they should review the camera footage to see what went down but they had NO INTEREST in doing so. Multiple witnesses told them that she instigated everything yet they didn't bother to listen. I guess they'd rather side with a stripper that has an open court case against her for a stolen car than someone who was putting money in their pockets. I encourage Baila Bar to find another establishment to do business with because they aren't the right people to do business with. I got blocked by Rhein Haus social media team for trying to apologize which I thought was odd. I was trying to do the right thing today and come in and talk to the manager and apologize to their security detail AGAIN since I already had on Wednesday. I would suggest going to Don Lucho's or El Callejon!
