We loved this place. The food was phenomenal and the service was great. You get a lot for a reasonable amount of $. I ordered a appetizer which was a fennel slaw with crab. So good and refreshing. For my main i ordered the salmon and it also came with a appetizer soup. The soup was the best soup I've ever had. And the salmon was cooked perfectly. We were very pleased and will be back again.

I consider all the food service options from the students and staff at the Seattle Culinary Academy to be treasures! There is a fantastic coffee and baked goods shop, The Buzz (located just inside the main doors to Seattle Central College off Broadway), a wonderful fine dining experience, One World (located inside the main entrance, to the right, and then left through the atrium), and a delicious fast casual food option, Square One Bistro (located just before One World). I recently had lunch at One World with a friend who works at the Seattle Colleges and we were so excited to try it! After reading about it in the Seattle Stranger I knew I had to experience this restaurant. The overall experience was excellent- from the service upon entering to our leaving, we were always cared for and waited on with courtesy and excellence. The food menu was difficult to choose from because everything sounded delicious! The menu changes fairly frequently featuring different cuisines around the world. We were lucky enough to be dining during a Oaxacan-themed menu and I had the most amazing duck breast in Molé sauce (amazing)! We had table side guacamole which was so cool, and this incredible squash soup with a Chile relleno. My friend had halibut that was perfectly cooked, and a delicious salad. Unfortunately this restaurant is only open from mid January to March 20 each year and only for lunch. If you are ever around Capitol Hill for lunch, do yourself a favor and enjoy a meal at this or any of the other food options offered by the Seattle Culinary Academy! The food is amazing and it supports the students of Seattle Colleges in the culinary program. Love it!

Delicious food, fun menus, and a great program! The menu changes every couple of weeks and there is always something new and interesting. The quality is consistently good and the students who work there are friendly and knowledgeable. The highlights for me are the menu variety and the food presentation which is always immaculate. It usually makes me stop and look for a minute before digging in. If you eat in, give yourself some time. Service can be a bit slow, but it will be with the wait!

Wow. A hidden gem inside Seattle Central College. A gourmet dining experience at an affordable price, and supports the culinary school at the college. Everything from the food, to the service to the presentation is superb. Make sure to visit this one-of-a-kind spot for lunch on the hill.

If you believe the coolest, most exclusive restaurants don't even have a sign on the outside of the building, then One World Dining wins the cool, exclusive, utter obscurity award. You'd definitely have to know where this place is (and I'll tell you): Try the second floor of Seattle Central Community College. This working lab for the college's culinary arts program is a true discovery. No ground beef in gravy with mashed potatoes for this college food service. Instead, you're served gourmet recipes like potato crusted salmon with morels and oyster mushrooms, Painted Hills beef tenderloin with carrot-fennel puree, or nettle soup with wood sorrel radish salad. The food is actually quite great. Although, when you consider what you're paying "stupendous" might be a better adjective. Entrees run from about $9 to $11, and they include soup or salad. Now you might think you'd be served by amateurs whose prior food service experience was at Wendy's. But no. Our knowledgeable, amiable waiter the other day was a veteran of several New Orleans restaurants. You can't pick on the decor either. It's on the sleek side, and very modern, clean, and tasteful. So what's not to like? Well, the service can be inexplicably slow at times. And some of the dishes are clunkers -- like what was the deal with the nearly raw julienned marinated asparagus? But, all in all, both stomach and wallet will come away happy.

Amazing fine dining without breaking the bank. We had the lentil soup, best salad, quail and tableside NY Strip steak as our beast feast. Food was delicious, service was excellent and the artistry was on point. If they did dinner service I would eat here twice in the same day. Wonderful Seattle hidden gem.

They have two tasting menus (omnivorous and vegetarian) which I appreciate. We both chose the omnivorous. Portions are tiny but there's a lot of courses. A huge downside for us was how long in between courses there was. We were getting pretty hungry at one point and our conversation fell into a lull because we were just eager for food lol. The experience was around 3.5 hours. It would have been a lot better if it stuck to 2 hours. Maybe 3 max. Food was beautifully presented and quite tasty though!

Eating in the small kitchen while watching Chef Zac and Ben plate up the food, asking him how he made a specific dish was such a unique experience. He makes everything sound easy to make, but the presentation and flavors were unreal. Our favorites were the wagyu tartar, black cod and corn soup. At one point when we had the first bite of the wagyu tartar, my husband turned to me and said, "This may be the best bite of food I've ever had." Enough said. It's not cheap, but worth every penny. Just go here. You won't regret it. Thanks to Zac, Ben and Sheady for making our anniversary an unforgettable one.

The chicken tika masala puts every other version I've had to shame, rich with visible herbs. The rice is fluffy, the meats are well seasoned. I love the lamb! The owners check on diners and are happy to explain dishes. The walls are adorned with beautiful fabric tapestries and the interior has a cozy feel. There were a few other people at 11:30am We asked if they do lunch buffet as I didn't see any self serve food. The staff said they offered in the past but not today.. it might come back in 2 weeks? We ordered hummus, garlic naan, fish masala and special kebabs without lamb which was accommodated per our request. The food even the side veggies were really good, we all liked everything. I like this place for good quality fresh ingredients that I don't feel overstuffed. It's probably because the food is easy to digest? This doesn't happen with other Mediterranean and Indian food. I'd like to come back when they start lunch buffet again.

We got a couple of drinks (wine for $10 a glass, negroni for $10), the rigatoni ($15), garlic bread ($6), and arugula salad ($11). The rigatoni was my favorite - well sauced and perfectly al dente. The garlic bread was my least favorite - I'd skip it and use your carbs elsewhere. Service was solid - we sat at the bar and felt well taken care of. It does seem like it's best for small groups and not large parties though, so keep that in mind. Also try to make a reservation as they said they were booked up. Parking in the area is not great, so keep that in mind! Overall, a great experience and I'd definitely come back!

The menu was presented as a full-course, flagship Autumn experience, but the portion sizes were so small it was difficult not to laugh. Even after completing the entire meal, we went home hungry -- maybe even "hangry" -- after spending over $200, thanks in part to a no-warning $11 charge for sparkling over still water (1 SanPellegrino) and a mandatory 22% service fee. The appetizers were nearly flavorless and arrived before our drinks. The dessert was literally the size of a single bite -- served, of course, in a large bowl for dramatic effect. If you've never been to a nice restaurant, you might leave thinking that upscale dining just isn't for you. But if you have, you'll likely find yourself thinking of the many other restaurants in the same zip code that deliver a far better experience for the same price, if not less.
