I've been stalking egg slut on social media for years. Somehow every time I've gone down to California I've forgotten to stop. So hearing a location was coming to Seattle, I was elated. When I imagined how the eggs would taste from the pictures, it was everything I hoped and more. Perfectly cooked, fluffy, well seasoned, fresh. Truly chef's kiss! I had the Fairfax, no caramelized onion, sub arugula salad for brioche bun + avocado + bacon. Also threw in the truffle hash brown bites. Killer by themselves or with the sriracha mayo. I've not been able to eat or enjoy much since I'm in the throws of pregnancy but this hit the spot and was worth the nausea from stuffing myself. My boyfriend opted for the Fairfax, no caramelized onion + sausage patty. He said it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches he's had and would be worth the drive into Seattle again (we are out in the WA country so this is a lot coming from him). No line to order when we went ~1130am on a Friday. Staff was focused but still managed to be kind and helpful. There was a guy behind the counter who was making sure everything was plated and presented properly. Overall 10/10 experience. This particular location of this egg breakfast sandwich place - that seems to have more traction in LA - is located inside Melrose Market which I heard about in the Seattle Times for some reason. This is in between downtown and Cap Hill, so it was an easy walk from where I scored street parking not too far from Voodoo Donuts. The inside is small and seems to share real estate with some other surrounding businesses that weren't open when I got here with a friend on a Sunday morning around 10am. Seating is also very limited inside though people come and go quickly despite there also being a decent line for food when we got there and when we waited on our food. Noise levels inside come mostly from the eatery, though mainstream music was also blasting from nearby speakers. The menu is mostly their egg sandwiches and some burgers along with sides and some drinks. You order up at the counter and find a place to sit. We both got their bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, which is small but oddly filling as there was a lot of stuff in it. The brioche bun was lightly salted and was soft and warm, while the egg was over medium so it was slightly runny when I bit into it. Bacon is very crispy and packed a ton of salty flavor, and the added ketchup was a nice, sweeter kick to the sandwich. I wanted to love this sandwich, but I don't think it was worth the almost $17 (after adding the sausage). It was super buttery, but the scrambled eggs were very watery so the soft bun got soggy + there were barely any caramelized onions in my sandwich... Came here on a Friday at lunch time. No line, was able to order pretty quickly. Service was not the best. We ordered the hashbrowns. A few minutes later we noticed our receipt said tater tots not hashbrowns and brought it to their attention. When we asked about it, they said it was the same thing even though the photos of the two clearly look different on the menu. We tried to tell them repeatedly that we ordered hashbrowns and they just handed us the tater tots repeating that it was the same thing. I think they mistook our order and didn't want to change it because they already started on the tater tots. Really annoying but we didn't bother arguing further after the first two asks. The tots are fine, we would've liked the larger hashbrowns but the seasoning is good. The sandwich was good. Eggs are nicely cooked and the bread is soft and buttery. Great spot if you're looking for breakfast sandwiches, they are absolutely delicious. So fresh. The Brioche bread that comes with sandwiches is so soft and buttery. Once you take a bite it melts in your mouth. I highly recommend this place. You must try it. Please try their iced cinnamon latte. Solid place for breakfast if you love soft scrambled eggs and breakfast sandwiches. It's on the pricier side but imo quality and flavors are pretty consistent so you know what you're getting. We came saturday at 12pm (lol) and waited in line to place our order for probably 30 mins. the line looks long but moves fairly fast so i wouldn't be too discouraged. Kind of hard to snag a seat inside since it's so small and packed. We ordered the fairfax and added a sausage patty - eggs were fluffy and delicious, sausage patty was nice and juicy, brioche bun buttery and soft. I had been wanting to try Eggslut for a while, and I waited a few months for the initial hype to die down since the line was insane when it first opened. There was still a small line when I visited, but it moved fairly quickly and was definitely worth the wait. I got the Fairfax sandwich, which was really good. Five stars for the food. My go to is the sausage egg and cheese bun. I like eggs cooked and they do take adjustments to that. I also like their hash browns. The line is not too long and wait isn't bad. It's in a small market center near a butcher shop but doesn't seem to be a problem. I was super excited to see eggslut opening in Seattle. We got there at a good time and ordered some orange juice to tide us over the wait. Everything was super buttery and delicious, however I was disappointed and confused about the truffle hash browns as they ended up being tater tots.. Lol. I don't recall seeing tots on the menu anywhere, but maybe i could have missed that. The flavor was good but wasn't loving to pay a premium for tater tots that you can get pretty much anywhere in Seattle. The sausage on the sandwich was very well seasoned and tender. Will definitely be ordering that next time. The chive and egg one I had was very good, and the spicy mayo gave the perfect kick. I think we paid about $40 which is a bit high but, I would come back and just get a sausage sandwich to go next time, and nothing else. There is really limited seating and you can tell this new addition disrupts the peace of Melrose Market a bit. I forgot what she ordered but I had Wagyu with chimichurri sauce , I think he might have said it was seasonal and emphasized that he only had three left. It was pretty good but not $18 worth. They had a French toast for $9 and we got other things and ended up paying $90. It was a bit more expensive than any breakfast place I have seen but at least we got to try it. The place is very small or at least their seating area and shares the space with other businesses, I think I saw 4 or 5 other business inside. If I am honest, it barely seats 10 but again, I don't think it's meant for that, people usually grab and go as I have seen so many to-go bags by the window. When I saw that Eggslut had come to Seattle I was so excited! My first experience with Eggslut was in Las Vegas and I did not think I would ever see it in my hometown. As other reviews have mentioned, seating is limited. There are some tables in front of the space, but on a rainy Sunday morning, these were not an option for us. I was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar top but also was prepared to eat in my car if need be. I had the bacon egg and cheese sammy. On my first bite of that luscious breakfast treat egg yolk ran all over my hands and down my arm, making VERY thankful I wasn't sitting in my car. Wednesday 11am no wait, but it did get slightly busy (about 5-6 people in queue) closer to 11:30am. Food took 10 minutes This time I got the bacon egg and cheese with avocado add on, truffle hash brown, and cinnamon toast cold brew. The order total after tax is a little under $30 (which the owner comped, but my review will reflect based on as if I paid for the meal) which is on the expensive side for a sandwich, side, and drink, as pricing is on par to a more formal brunch sit down restaurant with full service. The avocado add on is pricy at $2.50 for a small amount, so value brings my overall experience to 4 stars. I enjoyed the sandwich this time - though the ketchup aioli is a lot but there is generous amounts of bacon that is fairly crispy. The brioche bun this time is warm and the ingredients and preparation are comparable to what I had a few times in LA Grand Central Market, so I am happy that the owner is receptive to feedback and the employees take the feedback to improve after my bad experience during grand opening weekend! read more

I mean, who cares that it was 45 degrees outside, it was worth it! Sweet and a little salty, all that was missing was a crunch. We got there at around 9:30 on a Monday and waited in line for about 5 minutes, and got our food in about 5-10minutes. It tastes just as good as when I had it years ago in California. Just as perfect as I remember. Ah Eggslut, I have missed you! First time i've had this treat since leaving LA! Was super stoked to hear of the new Melrose location, I ordered the egg salad sandwich with avocado and bacon, and it absolutely hit the spot--creamy, rich, and just the right amount of crunch from the bacon. One thing to note: this spot is walk-up only, with no delivery options right now. I'll admit, part of me wishes I could order Eggslut from the couch, but I get it--when a new location opens and the demand is this high, keeping things simple makes sense. I give the food I ate and the line cooks a 5 star. The customer service I received from the cashier a 1 star. I moved to Seattle from California, and back home the closest Eggslut to me in Orange County was in LA, so finding one just a five‑minute walk from my apartment here felt like a gift. Every time I've visited in person, the food has been fresh, the line cooks work hard, and the cashiers have always been friendly and welcoming. The wait is usually short, and you can see everything being made right in front of you. It's been one of my comfort spots since moving here. I also come from a food service background myself, I've worked in three high volume, fast moving restaurants, and I was always trained to acknowledge customers within 15 seconds, even if I couldn't help them right away. Being on the other side of that today was strange, because I know exactly how much of a difference a simple "I'll be right with you" can make. Today I placed a DoorDash order and walked in to ask the cashier whether I needed to check in or just wait. He told me to wait to hear my name, so I stepped outside briefly to walk my dog. When I came back, I didn't see my food on the counter, so I waited nearby and listened for my name. After a while, I noticed the pickup area was pretty cleared out, so I walked back up to the counter. The cashier saw me approach and immediately walked to the back. At first I assumed he was busy, but when he returned, he made a point not to acknowledge me at all. He got water, sat at the register directly in front of me with his back turned, and even when I said "excuse me" multiple times, he continued to ignore me. It was clear I wasn't being overlooked. I was being avoided. It wasn't until one of the line cooks, who was actively cooking and clearly busy, heard me and asked if I was waiting for something that I finally got help. I told him my name and that I had a pickup, and only then did the cashier suddenly become willing to assist. I've heard people talk about avoidant customer service in Seattle, but in the six months I've lived here, I honestly haven't experienced it, not like this. I understand when young workers at a coffee shop don't know how to greet customers yet, but this was a grown adult intentionally avoiding interaction. A simple "I'll be right with you" would have changed the entire experience. I want to give credit where it's due: the line cook who acknowledged me was the reason this didn't feel worse. Even while cooking, he made sure I wasn't ignored, and I really appreciate that level of awareness and care. I still love Eggslut, and I've had consistently great experiences here until today. But I do think the cashier could benefit from more training on how to handle a fast‑paced environment especially the basics of acknowledging customers, even when you can't help them immediately. read more
