Houston TX Hot Chicken delivers on both flavor and atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the space hits you with a modern, urban vibe. The interior blends an industrial look exposed ductwork, dark ceilings, and concrete floors with warm wood accents and hanging Edison-style lights. The neon lit counters and colorful mural (with the sunglasses) really stand out, giving the spot a trendy, late night city feel. It's the kind of place that feels alive, especially at night. Food wise, everything impressed. We ordered the 3 piece chicken tenders with buffalo sauce and mac & cheese, and the chicken was juicy honestly surprising for a fast casual spot. Paired with the house sauce and cilantro sauce (the cilantro was my favorite), it hit perfectly. The mac and cheese was creamy, rich, and easily one of the best I've had at a fast food spot. Also tried the 5 piece chicken nuggets with honey rub, and those were just as juicy and flavorful sweet, savory, and addictive. We also got a cucumber watermelon drink, which was super refreshing and balanced out the heat from the chicken really well. Customer service was great no rush at all, and the cashier took time to explain the menu clearly. Bonus: They're open late until 1AM, which makes this a clutch late night food spot. Overall: Great vibes, standout sauces, and some of the juiciest chicken you'll find in this category.

I came for dinner on a saturday and there were a good amount of people. I got the 3 tenders and fries set, and the food came out pretty quick. I got the medium spice level and it was a just right for me. The chicken wasn't dry in the tenders, but I tried to chicken sandwich as well and did not like the chicken in it (it was smaller and very dry). I would recommend the tenders instead. The house sauce is a bit too sweet for me though. The restaurant is very clean and large and the workers are very friendly .

This is a cool spot to visit with friends. The team was very friendly and the food came out fresh. As a person that isn't really into spicy food, I was happy to see that they had a wide range of spice levels. It would be nice if they added more seating.

Enjoyed my meal here! All the workers were super friendly and were attentive. The vibes were good and the food was solid. We got the mango chicken fries and the Belgian waffle and tenders. I prefer my chicken a bit juicier but it flavored really well and paired well with everything else!

Stopped by as part of an Elite event and we were greeted by very friendly service! We were worried parking would be difficult, but there was ample parking on a weeknight on the street directly in front of the shop. We tried the strawberry hibiscus lemonade, chocolate milkshake, and chicken sandwich and tender at a medium spice level. The lemonade was delicious and the sandwich was also good! The chocolate milkshake was definitely mostly just vanilla, and the chicken tenders were not very crispy, but we really enjoyed the lemonade and sandwiches!

I had a Cheese Chicken Sandwich with a side of fries and Buffalo Sauce. Ordering was pretty easy at the counter. The manager and the girl at the counter helped me navigate through a special Yelp Elite event. They also made suggestions on what's good to order. We went to the branch in Denny and 1st Avenue. There's parking on the street in front of the restaurant . The restaurant is spacious with a lot of seating. It was cleaned with floors nicely polished. The menu board is bright and colorful. The workers were all smiling and cheerful. Now for the food. The chicken itself is real , not some indescribable patty. It's crispy outside and moist inside. It's fried and topped with gooey cheese sauce. Then it has like a pickled coleslaw which made the chicken sandwich kick it up a notch. The buns were toasted, a plus. The fries were perfectly seasoned and fried crispy. This is what a chicken sandwich should be!

I heard about the viral opening and thought I'd give it a try. It was amazing, the whole family enjoyed their food! The staff was amazing and the ambiance is totally cool. Not to mention the space needle view! I went all out with the Waffle milkshake (which is delicious)and frozen lemonade (could use more sugar) the tenders were juicy and flavorful (honey butter)

One of my favorite places to get chicken tenders! The flavors and seasoning are so well and the chicken is very juicy and flavorful. Service here was excellent, Overall, I recommend and I would come back.

My coworker was raving about how good the fried chicken is here, and we did a group order for delivery. I should have known that fried food and take out boxes are not a good combo with all the moisture being trapped inside. Everything becomes soggy, the chicken wasn't juicy, though the flavors were good. Unfortunately the delivery also missed one sauce. Lesson learned to never get take out again, but I'd be willing to try it at the restaurant since I'm still hunting down the best fried chicken place in town.

My experience here was so good! I will for sure be returning. Walked in and was lucky to have come at a good time. Ordered our food quickly and the service was very friendly and helpful. We ordered 3 tender combo in the flavors mild medium and honey butter as well as the sandwich+ tender combo. Personally I'm a strips girl when it comes to chicken places. The sandwich is just tenders on a bun with toppings. Still good but if you don't want the extra bread get the tenders. The seasoning on the chicken was yummy and the meat was cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy. The fries were also seasoned well and crispy, delicious to dip in ranch or house sauce. Next time I will try the honey and maple sauces. To drink we got fountain drinks and a cucumber watermelon slush. The slush was so yummy and packed with flavor, this will be the perfect treat for the summer time. When we were sitting there was an extra shake that was made and they gifted it to us! I thought this was such a nice gesture. They don't blend the syrups into the shake which I also thought was an interesting approach. All of the workers were so nice and helpful throughout my time inside HHC. I think this place has a lot of potential to be packed out the door but people are sleeping on it because of the unflavored chicken brand that opened up near UW lol. If you want some flavor and some hot chicken come down to HHC where you have more than 3 options for entrees!!

    Sandwich and tender combos.

Went on a Thursday evening around 5 pm. No one in there. Matthew helped us pick out our food based on some different options. Food was good, definitely recommend the honey butter rub if you don't like spicy. Mac and cheese was pretty standard in my opinion. Good fries and house sauce.

The diner feels so cozy and homey - old photos of the owner and customers and magnets his guests left are a nice touch. Friendly and attentive service despite the busyness.

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).

All the…read moreoutdoor tables were full when we arrived at 6, so we put our name on the list for inside and waited about 30 minutes. The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

They gave us these post cards to write down our individual drinks. FYI - this place requires using your smart phone to scan a QR code for the menu. We ordered 2 apps (salmon dip with pita chips & chips and cheese dip) I ordered fish and chips. Buddy got the meat loaf. Our beer showed up quick. Waiter always checked on us often. Our apps showed up and they were both delicious. Then 5 minutes later our main dish orders showed up. Wasn't too happy with that because we wasted time to taste our beers and snack on the apps. They need to work on their timing. Need at least 10 minutes in between the beer and apps. The food overall is admittedly top notch. Fish and chips FRESH! The fish was juicy and the fried crust was perfection. Pieces were large. They will ask if you want 3 or 4. 3 is enough. If they can work on timing the drinks and food this place would be a 5 out 5, but will deduct a star because of that. The overall vibe of the place was nice. Huge layout with wooden picnic style tables. Outdoor tables if you're lucky to get one. Large tanks to brew beer surrounding the room and a merch table.

They served the coffees with a little shortbread cookie, and these little details really elevated the whole experience. Also, the cappuccino was so foamy, and it hit the spot immediately. There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance. Wow, this review is 8 years old! I want to share my experience with Some Random Bar…read more In 2017, my mom and I visited Seattle for me to look at apartments and interview for jobs. We came here to eat because it was near our hotel. I was OBSESSED with the crab nachos. 2 months later, I moved out here all on my own. Now, 8 years later, I live nearby. Whenever someone is visiting, we come here. Whenever I run into a stranger visiting, i say they have to come here. My friends know if i'm celebrating anything, "are you getting crab nachos?!" It's become a part of my personality at this point. I have so much respect for the owners, the way they run their business and their honesty online. No one I've brought here has had a bad thing to say regardless of what they ordered. My go to is: Pull apart bread, crab nachos (with their hot sauce!! which, btw can i buy that by the bottle.. cause YUM) + whatever drink is calling my name (they rotate, but if you can get the pina colada you won't regret it). tldr; you'll regret NOT coming here.

I underestimated the attractiveness of Happy Hour where many drinks are $1 to $3 off. The place was full and became even fuller (and louder) by the end of our meal. This bar is hopping with many regulars, alcohol-filled, with multiple screens televising sports. When we went in October, the food menu says the food is discounted 25% off during certain late hours. The current online menu doesn't say that anymore. Not sure if that deal is still available. Our server was easygoing. Note they charge 3% for credit card use. The Food: SRB Burger, $22 - 3 Stars Menu: Painted Hills beef, burrata mozzarella, basil aioli, arugula, pickled onions, hand cut fries Per the menu description, this burger sounded great. Unfortunately for hubby, this burger has the exact pet peeve that he dislikes the most - where the patty is small and tall (he calls it ball shape) compared to the bun. The patty diameter is significantly smaller than the bun. He literally hates that. I had to tilt the camera much lower to see the patty inside. On the plus side, the fries are great. Grilled Shrimp Club, $24 - 3.5 Stars Menu: bacon, lettuce, tomato, house made guacamole, roasted chipotle aioli, hand cut fries This club sandwich is very good except for the one thing that the menu didn't specify - the bun. They use ciabatta bread, which I find doughy, thick, and overwhelms a sandwich. That is my pet peeve for a sandwich. Neither of us is betting well on this night. They are probably more of a 3.5 Stars overall. We find their prices to be high, especially since they additionally charge a credit card fee. When we went, the cost was $21, $23 respectively. The prices are now $22 and $24 per online menu. I would not return for food only. I would return for a bar vibe.
