After a while, I got up and asked someone who sort of explained that you're suppose to order upfront. Paseo has a huge reputation in Seattle for their roast pork sandwiches, so I was pretty hyped to finally try their sandwich. It was a rainy Saturday around 12:30 PM and there were only a few other tables inside. Parking is a little confusing as the lot is mostly paid spaces, with only 4-5 spots dedicated to Paseo. Not sure what you're supposed to do if it gets a bit busier. Caribbean Roast (2.75/5): Unfortunately, I thought the pork was quite overcooked. It wasn't unbearably dry, but it was very chewy. That combined with the chewy bread makes for a bit of a jaw work out. Tostones (3/5): Could be crispier, but had a good amount of salt. I wish I enjoyed their sauce a little more (needed to be just amped up on all fronts a bit more), but it's not bad. read more

There are only about five spots since a parking company owns most of the lot, so I'd recommend not parking there unless you plan to pay. Paseo was recommended to us by a friend. We stopped in around 3:30 on a Wednesday - there are only a handful of (free) parking spots for the restaurant. There was a baseball game going on, and the rest of the parking was $50 per spot... we drove around for a bit and waited for a car to leave. We ordered at the counter and didn't wait long for our food. We split the Steak and Swiss sandwich and the Caribbean fries. The sandwich was hot, juicy, and full of flavor! The fries were great as well - the seasoning was unique to us and we really enjoyed them. The fries are a huge portion, and it was a good thing we split our meal. There is plenty of seating inside, which was nice. I haven't been to a Paseo in over 10 years, and I I have to admit, I was a little concerned about the quality, price and taste when I walked in and saw the new, fancy menu and an empty restaurant. It's funny, but I didn't even consider whether the service was going to be good or bad. Now, I pride myself on being a good customer no matter where I am. From a McDonald's to an Alexander Steak House, I'm always consistent - I try to be friendly to the people who work there, I have my order ready to go when it's my turn, and if applicable, I'll even bus my table when I'm done. For that, I expect basic courtesy from my host, but the individuals at this Paseo treated me like I owed them money. No greeting upon entering, no help with the menu, and when I paused to consider the extensive set of new options, they walked away. I love this place. I keep forgetting there's a location in sodo. So much closer than driving anywhere else. Last time I was here there was HH and service was great. I ordered a roasted corn and Alaskan cod sandy combo. I've never had the Alaskan cod before and it was soo good. A bit messy but I enjoyed it. Restaurant has lots of seating in contrast to some of the other un bien and paseos locations I've been to but it's pretty bare bones, def nothing fancy inside. This spot did not disappoint. I think of this sandwich sometimes. Famous Caribbean Roast - Juicy, plenty of meat, plenty of sauce. The meat is tender, falling apart, and not dry at all. To add to its' juiciness, they dip it/drench the sandwich in some liquid gold broth, and then on top of that, even add on some sauce! Combine the meat, sauce, broth, with some pickled veggies, this is honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Those of us old heads remember it before the bankruptcy and all that jazz, and while the new owners did have to tweak some to keep the flavor the same, they've done it. Came here for late lunch on a Thursday. They have free reserved parking spots for the restaurant! It was my first time trying Carribean sandwiches and I found them delicious!! We ordered the seared scallop sandwich and the pork belly sandwich. So good! The bread was crispy and the ingredients were hot and cooked well. The only downside was that eating them could get quite messy as the ingredients kept popping out. Nonetheless, we used our hands and enjoyed the food very well. The restaurant was spacious and clean. This spot is definitely a more casual and low key restaurant. You walk in, order at the cashier, and sit wherever you'd like. We had to wait for our food for a bit but there were plenty of tv's to watch/pass the time. I got the Caribbean Roast Sandwich and it was SO delicious and flavorful. It was a little messy but no worries because they have hand wipes and a bunch of tissues/utensils if you need them. We also ordered the paseo press sandwich and the sweet roasted corn. Personally I like my bread more crunchy or at least a bit crisp and it's a hit or miss if my sandwich is soggy or not. But still really really good and not quite a dealbreaker for me. Nice big and open space with good vibes and music. They got good happy hour bites too M-F during a few hours of the day. I like this location more than the Fremont one as the Fremont one is kind of small. But it's cute and cozy. There are a few spots in the lot allocated to paseo customers. Otherwise there's paid parking. But I recommend parking somewhere on the street for free and walking just a bit. read more

Paseo is heaven. We typically come here before a baseball game, or randomly on the weekends if we're taking a trip to HD. The Caribbean Roast sandwich is a must. This is ridiculously messy (because it's so juicy and flavorful) so you will need a bucket load of napkins. I love it so much that I exclusively order it. My husband has eaten the West Caribbean Bowl and has also enjoyed it. We have both tried the yuca fries and the tostones which we also enjoyed but don't order them regularly. Food usually comes out pretty fast, it takes a little extra time on game days, but we've never had to wait for egregious amounts of time. They have a few dedicated parking spots, but they are almost always full, so you're gonna have to pay for parking in the parking lot. If you're not coming for a baseball game (and it's Game Day), I wouldn't bother because it's an arm and a leg to park. Their chips have this seasoning on them, I don't know what exactly is in it, but it gives them a fun flavor and goes well with your meal. And the place is super colorful, and they have plenty of outdoor seating and some select seating inside. I have also ordered from here online and pick up was pretty seamless.
