My friends wanted to try this place. Parking is free since it's in a shopping center. I agreed to go along with the promise of chicken wings lol Afterall I didn't get any chicken wings at Murder Burgers. We approached the counter and was greeted. Another thing that put a smile on my face was the Happy Hour margarita!! Woo hoo!! I ordered my chicken wings and a prickly pear-guava margarita. My friends ordered a sandwhich and mango margarita as well. I also ordered elote which was delicious!! It was lathered in cream and chili powder and cilantro. Yummy in my tummy! Last on the Seattle weekender was Paseo! My friend mentioned liking this place for their Caribbean style sandwiches. The restaurant is located in SoDo and is home to best sandwich in America. Since this is one of the first sandwich places I've ever tried, I'm not sure if I can attest to that. However, I did think the sandwich was decent value for the portion size, and very juicy and delicious! The Caribbean roast sandwich was packed with so much pork that I could not even fit it in my mouth and had to eat it deconstructed. On the other hand, the Paseo press felt a bit easier to devour, but still had a lot of pork inside in addition to cold cut meat. The chicken thigh in the Caribbean bowl was also soft and tender, easy to eat. The meat was definitely the standout and carrying factor of the restaurant. Needless to say, two sandwiches and two bowls was way too much food for 4 people and we all went home with an extra person's portion of food. The restaurant also contains an area for utensils, napkins, and water. Lots of booth seating around which is great for watch parties etc. Would come back again sometime if I'm craving a good sandwich. read more

We're out of town visitors, so we were unfamiliar with the ordering process...that means we sat down inside waiting for a waiter...who never came. After a while, I got up and asked someone who sort of explained that you're suppose to order upfront. Really good sandwiches here. The ambience of the restaurant is a little bit unique as it feels very casual, but the restaurant is also divided into a front area and a back area. I do like the shrimp sandwich, although it is very messy. The yuca fries are really good as well. read more

Incredible ham and cheese sandwich! My husband and I were craving a quick bite before a late night concert, and a sandwich sounded good. Considering there were several shows in the area, the restaurant was busy, but we scored a seat at the counter. Paseo has a huge reputation in Seattle for their roast pork sandwiches, so I was pretty hyped to finally try their sandwich. It was a rainy Saturday around 12:30 PM and there were only a few other tables inside. Parking is a little confusing as the lot is mostly paid spaces, with only 4-5 spots dedicated to Paseo. Not sure what you're supposed to do if it gets a bit busier. Caribbean Roast (2.75/5): Unfortunately, I thought the pork was quite overcooked. It wasn't unbearably dry, but it was very chewy. That combined with the chewy bread makes for a bit of a jaw work out. Tostones (3/5): Could be crispier, but had a good amount of salt. I wish I enjoyed their sauce a little more (needed to be just amped up on all fronts a bit more), but it's not bad. read more

There are only about five spots since a parking company owns most of the lot, so I'd recommend not parking there unless you plan to pay. Paseo was recommended to us by a friend. We stopped in around 3:30 on a Wednesday - there are only a handful of (free) parking spots for the restaurant. There was a baseball game going on, and the rest of the parking was $50 per spot... we drove around for a bit and waited for a car to leave. We ordered at the counter and didn't wait long for our food. We split the Steak and Swiss sandwich and the Caribbean fries. The sandwich was hot, juicy, and full of flavor! The fries were great as well - the seasoning was unique to us and we really enjoyed them. The fries are a huge portion, and it was a good thing we split our meal. I haven't been to a Paseo in over 10 years, and I I have to admit, I was a little concerned about the quality, price and taste when I walked in and saw the new, fancy menu and an empty restaurant. It's funny, but I didn't even consider whether the service was going to be good or bad. Now, I pride myself on being a good customer no matter where I am. From a McDonald's to an Alexander Steak House, I'm always consistent - I try to be friendly to the people who work there, I have my order ready to go when it's my turn, and if applicable, I'll even bus my table when I'm done. For that, I expect basic courtesy from my host, but the individuals at this Paseo treated me like I owed them money. No greeting upon entering, no help with the menu, and when I paused to consider the extensive set of new options, they walked away. I love this place. I keep forgetting there's a location in sodo. So much closer than driving anywhere else. Last time I was here there was HH and service was great. I ordered a roasted corn and Alaskan cod sandy combo. I've never had the Alaskan cod before and it was soo good. A bit messy but I enjoyed it. If we didn't make HH I would have ordered the scallop because that's my favorite one. I had a good time here and the margarita I ordered was so good. Restaurant has lots of seating in contrast to some of the other un bien and paseos locations I've been to but it's pretty bare bones, def nothing fancy inside. Came here for late lunch on a Thursday. They have free reserved parking spots for the restaurant! It was my first time trying Carribean sandwiches and I found them delicious!! We ordered the seared scallop sandwich and the pork belly sandwich. So good! The bread was crispy and the ingredients were hot and cooked well. The only downside was that eating them could get quite messy as the ingredients kept popping out. Nonetheless, we used our hands and enjoyed the food very well. The restaurant was spacious and clean. We had to wait for our food for a bit but there were plenty of tv's to watch/pass the time. I got the Caribbean Roast Sandwich and it was SO delicious and flavorful.
