    Loaded Baked & BBQ Throwdown
 12 October 2018
    Mojdeh S.

How I heard of this place: The Seattle Center Armory is the place to be when you're visiting and need a quick bite to eat. Some establishments are more snacky, and highly tempting, others offer more full meals. This place does both. Type of cuisine: Hot dogs with the works and fries to match! Ambiance: The inside of The Armory, if you haven't been, is quite like a food court or cafeteria with a number of dining options, all leading to a central "courtyard" of seating. Often, one can catch the latest show or presentation on The Stage while partaking of your selected fare. What I ordered: The BBQ Throwdown ($7.79): dixie BBQ sauce, BBQ seasoning, cheddar cheese sauce, bacon, green onion; and the Loaded Baked ($7.79): cheddar cheese sauce, bacon, green onion, sour cream. What I loved: Tasty and filling, the portions are loaded with yummy toppings that can settle any snack-food craving. Why I loved it: It's fun that this "snack-like" item can suffice as a full meal, even when shared among a party of three. Cost: Average to high ($7.79 - $8.79 per portion)

Ehhh. I need more... LOCATION & PARKING // This is right by the door of the Armory. As you can expect, it is a madhouse. It's super loud, people are everywhere, and there are a million things happening at once. Parking is... choose your own adventure. SERVICE // The folks I met working here were really kind and friendly. In general, props to them! And I got my food super quickly so that's a plus. FOOD // I ordered the small curly fries with 3 sauces: Sweet & Spicy Mango, Spicy Thai Peanut Sauce, & Cool Guys Fry Bar. The fries were great but the sauces were just okay. The Cool Guys Fry Bar sauce is the one that I used the most. The Spicy Thai Peanut Sauce was okay but it should've been thicker. And the Sweet and Spicy Mango wasn't my favorite... even though I thought it would be my favorite. The fries had good consistency and I enjoyed them. OVERALL // 3.0 stars I don't know. I wanted more? I saw a few of their loaded fries orders from others and I think I'll come back in the future with some friends to try those out. To be determined...

Chicken and fries kid meal. Way over cooked.

Everything was overcooked. The kids chicken strips and fries were both almost burnt. Not good at all.

Reminds me of "pommes frites," which are basically like regular fries but twice fried. It's common around Europe (mainly Belgium, Germany and Amsterdam) and it's amazing there! These potatoes are fresh and more crisp than those weak ass McDonald's fries! No offense McDonald's, I still eat your fries every now and then. The fries were good and made to order but definitely had better. The sauces were on point though! The flavors gave life to those potatoes, although they tasted good plain. Can't beat the crispiness, they didn't get soggy at all throughout the meal. Let's not be too basic though and get at least one sauce, it comes with one free anyways! Anything extra will cost you. I recommend their classic and the curry ketchup!

Mmmmmmm. Mmmmmmm. This place is kind of iffy. Service was decent like it wasn't AMAZING nor whack it's in the middle. Not really friendly either. It's super expensive for fries but I wanted some curly fries so I decided to give it a shot. Had the small curly fries with 3 sauces. I had total of 3 sauces choices of Mango habanero 7/10 this was pretty good but it wasn't spicy at all! Old school ranch : 6/10 tbh if I'm being real... idk what old school ranch taste like or it supposed to be... but it just tasted like ranch with pepper. Then I had their signature sauce. 5/10 if you guys EVER had in n out sauce it's literally that (pretty much thousand island dressing) It wasn't anything mind blowing. I saw that they were selling animal style fries for almost 9$ which from Cali animal styled fries for us is only 4$... LOL Honestly it was cute but I wouldn't come back for it. But give this place a shot if you're really into sauces!

I saw a whole menu of fries, so I got kind of excited; I had to try something. The fries with the toppings sounded good, but I already ordered a burrito from next door, so I just decided to order the large Curly Fries to share with everyone. Dipping sauces were $0.59 or 3 for $1.59, which isn't too bad compared to what some other places charge, and it was a good size. There are lots of dipping sauces to choose from, and I got Curry Ketchup (it was really watery, tasted okay), Cool Guys Fry Sauce (everyone's favorite), and Habanero Mayo (not too bad). The fries were perfectly-cooked; nice and crispy. Everyone loved the fries.

Pros: Curly fries and strawberry lemonade were pretty good; quick service; friendly staff Cons: Expensive; nothing unique about this joint; may or may not return

Just a disclaimer this is 2 stars for only what I've tried which was the garlic and herb chicken dog. The hotdog was overcooked for me and tough. There wasn't a garlic and herb flavor at all really. I just had regular fries so I can't really give a fair rating since there wasn't anything special on it. The fries itself weren't as crunchy as I liked, and to me didn't have a good balance of flavor (but I do like my fries salty). It's a simple menu with a ton of varieties of sauces and interesting combo fries. If I go back here again in the future I'll do it the right way and try their fries lol.

    Mexi Madness + the grease
    Danielle A.

It's an alright place the hot dog not too bad and just plain fries are good fries. But I got the mexi madness and the bottom of the container was just a soup of a grease. As I ate my fries became soggy and unenjoyable.

    Hey!!!! So excited!
    Michelle R.

Went here on a road trip and fries sounded good. They hit the spot and we ordered 2 and it was more than enough. We could have ordered 1 order and it would have fed the 3 of us just fine. The guy working was nice and the food came out pretty quick and was tasty when in the area why not stop by for some yummy fries!

A Seattle dog is a quintessential food item while visiting Seattle. I am happy to say the Dog In The Park Seattle Dog lived up to my expectations. A crispy grilled dog, cream cheese, and plenty of grilled veggies. There are loads of toppings to choose from, too, but the young man serving up the dogs recommended just plain for the first time to really get the classic experience. I think some light mustard and maybe some saurkraut would have been a great addition. Friendly service and good recommendations for a first-timer, though. This was during Sakura Con, and for being one of several food stands occupying real estate around the Seattle Convention Center Arch Building, it gets a ton of traction. Big props to the lone server and cook who was taking orders back and forth from my friends and I and others who rushed to grab some food; he was cooking, taking payments and answering questions all throughout the time we were there. No seating or restrooms available here as it's outside. They were also out of vegan hot dogs, which didn't sit too well with one of my friends. For the Seattle Dog, it's a regular hot dog with caramelized vegetables in a somewhat lightly crispy bun and topped with some cream cheese. Hot dog was so good, vegetables added an extra savory tone that complimented the hot dog, and bun was so tasty I could have asked for another Seattle Dog, though each totals up to $10 before tax, which sounds pretty pricey for a hot dog. Regardless I would still come back here during conventions if I don't want to have anything inside the convention center itself.

Staff is efficient and keeps the bar clean picking up any left behind glasses quickly. The bar is quirky and fun. Private and comfy booths, and lots of clowns everywhere.
