Good for "grab-n-go" and sit outside as there isn't much ambience- you self order at the kiosk (I didn't see one employee until my order was ready). And they really should get rid of the option to tip, since you are self ordering. 3 Piece True Cod & Chips @ $23 - slightly over-fried but the fish is very fresh (I wish they had a 2 Piece option). Ignore the twice tweezed hipster influencers who throw shade at Anthony's Fish House... no they don't give free kombucha, there are no mustache wax dispensers nor room for your podcast to broadcast from here. I have tried Ivar's a few years back and recall that there you can opt for Cajun style etc. This place is located a little bit far off but still close to the water. This place offers some high quality fish and chips where the frying is on point, with no customizations. Every bite is crispy and it goes well with the tartar sauce and fries provided. However, I would say that the fish and chips is a little bit too dry, so a balance of crispiness and juiciness would be more ideal. Honestly, it is good experience. I knew it appears to be a food stand. It is. You wait in the line, make your choices, and they give you a tray of foods. We took our number to an outdoor table, facing Mt. Ranier, drinks in hands. Just a few minutes, someone brought our tray. The Poke was good and the Ling Cod fish-n-chip was delicious. Anthony's pier self service cafe very good for quick bite or drink. We took 2 taco 1 x mahi mahi and 1 x salmon taco. Salmon was very yummy but mahi mahi was a bit dry. It needs some salsa or sauce. We got only ketchup for fries. Unfortunately with virus there is no more salt or pepper on the tables anymore and there is nowhere individual small salt packets. Everything you have to ask for. Even straws or utensils. It's a bit annoying. I wish they just kept individual plastic utensils. Margaritas were mediocre but it's only $6 so I don't expect anything fancy. Took forever to get us seated (in two obscure tables - not one). The bar waiter was assigned, he tried but the experience was 1 star (gave him 2 stars because I felt sorry for him). In the end, it took forever to get our dinner. The manager responsible for this problem did NOTHING to recover. It was a terrible service and food experience. I don't recommend. read more

We have been here for lunch twice now, and both times we have had bad experiences. The first time I ordered the roasted crab and shrimp roll, a couple of my colleagues ordered salmon taco. The crab and shrimp roll had a good amount of shrimp in it, but I missed the crab meat, it didn't have enough crab meat in it. It also has too much sauce on it. The sauce overpowered the meat. When I finished eating my roll, my colleague was still waiting for his taco, they had lost his order. By the time we received it, he had to make it to go since it had taken so long and they gave him cocktail sauce instead of the ketchup he asked for. The second time, I decided to try the clam chowder, the same colleague got taco again. The clam chowder was a disappointment, I mostly got potato, only a couple small pieces of clam, and didn't get any bacon (they call out the bacon on the menu, and I was told again while ordering that it had bacon in it). The taco again took too long and had too much sauce in it. You also only get one taco per plate, which isn't enough for lunch. read more

This place has gone down hill.... Went today at 3pm for early dinner.... Hostess wasn't very friendly and place is filthy.... For them to check your vaccine cards and be dirty is ridiculous. Forgot my soup.... Never refilled our waters and when they got a high chair... it was filthy covered in food. Had to clean it off myself.... I was very excited to try some fresh fish in Seattle. My first night I walked over to Anthony's Fish Bar and ordered the Fish and Chips. I'm a Brit so I had high expectations to say the least. But honestly even if I hadn't had high hopes, it was awful. It was massively over-cooked, the fish was like rubber. And the "Chips" were just fries. Very skinny and greasy (also very over cooked). The French fries are bomb! I ordered the Alaskan Cod and chips and my nephew ordered the clam strips and chips. I thought it was interesting that the fish wasn't coated in a light batter. It was more panko, which made the fish extremely crispy. I was hoping for more of a traditional batter. My nephew loved his clam strips and would order it again. I will preface this by saying I have never left a review on Yelp before - I created an account specifically to review Anthony's Fish Bar because I had such a bad experience. The woman who took my order was extremely rude - would not look at me, smile, and gave one word responses to my questions. When I thanked her for taking my order she didn't look up and did not say you're welcome. Then, I waited over 40 minutes for fish and chips - easily the most simple thing on the menu. If it weren't for all of the other people that ordered before me still waiting as well I would have checked on my food sooner, but when I finally asked what was taking so long the woman rudely yelled across the kitchen "what did you order." After telling her fish and chips she quickly threw my order in a basket and slid it across the counter to me without saying anything. They had very clearly lost track of my order. This then prompted 4 or 5 other customers to ask about their orders as well and the same sequence of events occurred. Basically, they were *EXTREMELY* unorganized and if I had not asked I'm not sure I ever would have received my food. This was the case for *EVERY* customer there. I did not see a single person leave looking pleased. They were taking orders and simply forgetting about them left and right. Eventually, I decided to tell people waiting in line to order to consider going somewhere else - also something I've never done before. To give them some credit they were clearly understaffed and it was also a very busy afternoon - one of the cruises had just docked and people were flooding in. *HOWEVER*, all of that is understandable if mitigated through friendly communication. Not once did I hear them apologize to a customer for the wait, smile to anyone, or even attempt to acknowledge their kitchen was in complete disarray. They did the opposite - they were rude and acted as if their customers were all completely unreasonable for being annoyed it was taking so long. In the end, the food was also very average. $22 dollars very poorly spent. I'm sure given their location they will always attract large tourist crowds given the foot traffic but it is not deserved - they need new management badly! read more

Stopped into Anthony's after a long walk along the waterfront to have a drink. Communicating with the bartender was trying as her English was a bit broken. Probably not PC to mention but I felt it important. After a couple minutes of banter, we were finally able to place our order. Not something terribly difficult, shot of Tequila with a soda back for my wife, and a glass of water for myself. We received our water and soda, then the bartender left to go wait on tables outside. As we sat at the bar, which desperately needed some cleaning, neither of us could understand what she was doing. My guess is she didn't know what she was doing either... I should add that the floor in the bar also needed a good cleaning, not her fault, but I think this is an indicator of the work ethic at this location. We have visited many Homeport locations over the years and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had. read more
