It's a busy Friday evening in Downtown, the Seattle Mariner's were playing at the nearby T-Mobile Park. It was also my last night on this business trip and I needed some time to just decompress and recharge for my return flight home. Didn't feel like wondering around the area as I knew many establishments would be super busy and booked with reservations. So I decided on trying out Relish Burger Bistro. A friendly hostess sat me down as there were plenty of seats, lounge chairs, and bar seating too. Because I'm always craving a nice burger, I decided on going for a hoagie sandwich with tomato bisque soup rather than my usual cheeseburger. Service was great. Food was delicious, but I really needed to added a side order of french fries. Prices in Seattle tend to be on the above average level but it's okay. Overall, this restaurant is good. They have entrees if you're not wanting a burger, you can also be seated at the bar if you're a sports fan and would like to chit chat with the bartenders. I ordered a burger from here yesterday. It's a Smash Burger with melted cheese on it. It had sautéed onions and pickles. It was perfect. It probably had 2 patties, perfectly smashed on the griddle. The bread was toasted and really good. I've had other burgers here before---my favorite Mushroom Burger and all of them are great! The fries are nicely crisped. I did have to request a steak knife as the toast crust was difficult to cut. As part of our stay and that my wife has a pretty high Elite Bonvoy status, a breakfast came with our reservation, so I can't comment on how much it would normally cost. They had a pretty good selection of stuff including an omelette bar and various items including Chinese Congee, cereal, pastries, bacon and eggs, etc. The server we had was nice, friendly and attentive to our needs. The restaurant is a good size and there's a decent amount of distance between each table. Our stay is a couple more days, so we'll definitely use it again. read more

Relish is located in the lobby of the Westin Seattle. The restaurant has a to-go portion as well as a sit down option. It's the hotel's primary food hub for coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I didn't have a chance to try their breakfast, coffee or lunch, but I did have a chance to sit down for dinner. I got a burger and onion rings. The burger tasted pretty good however the onion rings were disappointing. They didn't seem fresh as they were not crispy or hot. I was pretty hungry so I didn't bother to complain. The waitress was super nice and service was also pretty fast. It was somewhat empty when I ate though. In regard to ambiance, the restaurant is somewhat casual. You can eat there for business or family occasions. So it's perfect for the hotel. I would probably return again for dinner if it were maybe the last place available in the area. read more

I've been in this restaurant years ago for a burger at dinner, but recently came for brunch on a weekday on a whim. Definitely most of the guests are hotel guests and get the buffet but for the price of the buffet I really don't think it's worth it. However, I tried to order an omelette with a side of fresh fruit and coffee, and the total was also outrageous coming close to the price of the buffet. The à la cart omelette was not priced or shown on the menu, but the waiter said that I could order it and didn't quote me a price. I was surprised to see the total was nearly $40 for everything. I know we are in Seattle and in downtown and in the hotel, but that is crazy expensive. Staff are OK and did accommodate my request for a single omelette, but nothing really stood out to me. During my stay at the Westin for a convention, I visited Relish for breakfast on both days. The menu offered some appealing choices. On the first day, I opted for the Caprese sandwich accompanied by tater tots, which were delightfully crispy and flavorful. The sandwich was enjoyable, but the tater tots truly stood out. On the following day, I chose an omelette with a side of fries and toast, which also made for a satisfying meal. Relish is a restaurant in the lobby of the Westin Hotel in downtown Seattle. It has mediocre food, service and selection combined with with an outdated and ill-maintained environment. There are many much better restaurants in easy walking distance. As a result, I strongly recommend eating somewhere else. This is a review of dinner. I have no experience of Breakfast or Lunch. Relish describes itself as a "burger bistro" but that description fits poorly. The dinner menu only has two burgers on it (beef and chicken), and does not have a wide range of customisations or options. Instead, there is a large menu of non-burger options (few of which are appealing). The staff we saw were helpful but clearly very overworked. It took a long time between visits to the table, and they were serving many tables at once. Like the understaffed service, everything about this restaurant suggests that the management aren't trying very hard. Menus are presented as single sheets of paper with many wrinkles and folds suggesting they have been reused for a long time. Decor is faded and dated despite the good view into the city. Windows are not clean. Menu selections are bland and varied. It seems like that classic hotel menu where they are trying to make sure they cover a lot of options without any inventiveness at all. There are only two appetizers (too few) and three salads, though a third (chowder) is for some reason hidden in the Main course section, even though its portion size is clearly appetizer. Of our party of four (open to many things) three ordered the Katsu burger because so few choices seemed appealing. The burger was ok though the fried chicken breast was overcooked for all of us. When I asked what was on the side I was told "fries" when in fact the fries were slathered in spicy mayo, an undesirable ingredient I definitely would have omitted had I known. This was the only side option (despite the website having a picture with tater tots in the centre). Overall, this is a mediocre dinner restaurant that whose management has stopped trying. Nearby are Lola and Assagio, for example, which are much better choices. Go somewhere else. read more

I went for lunch with some co-workers. I ordered the BLTA sandwich which sounded good ended up pretty mediocre. It was advertised as having guacamole but I didn't really notice any. When I order a BLT, I expect (hope) the bacon to be decent quality and cooked enough so that it is slightly crispy/crunchy. But in this case, the bacon they used wasn't great...it was thick and fatty and undercooked. The fries were good and our server was nice though. Relish Burger Bistro is the restaurant inside the Seattle Westin. We came here for breakfast daily for five days in a row! Although food prices in hotels are generally more expensive than outside, the food quality and service here are top notch. Its also very convenient to charge the meal to your room, since we normally get breakfast after morning workouts and its a pain to lug cash/credit cards along in sweaty clothing. We did not try their $27 breakfast buffet, which seemed to have lots of good stuff with a somewhat open kitchen. We can confirm that their ala carte items are excellent: 1. Steel cut oatmeals were creamy and good - nice addition of brown sugar, fresh green apples, and golden raisins. We liked getting this with a side of steamed almond milk and a well-done fried egg. 2. Belgian Waffles are crispy yet light and airy. Great with fresh berries and some maple syrup or honey. 3. Greek Yogurt and Granola - lighter, healthier breakfast that's also loaded with fresh berries. Definitely drizzle a couple of packs of honey! 4. Breakfast Sandwich - Super light and fluffy bun, and nice touch with using Beecher's cheese. Orange juice is freshly squeezed while the coffee is pretty robust here. read more

We went to relish for breakfast. Well, some things like French toast, Crab cake Benedict were fine, but the Avocado toast was not possible to cut with knife. Either the bread was very old or was not baked well. The chicken apple sausages taste like in a cheap diner. Relish is located in the Westin hotel. We do not know what they serve at the buffet or in their "grab and go" area, but it is not a quality restaurant for such hotel. The service in the A-la-cart area was fine, the bistro itself does not have many tables and gets crowded sometimes. We did not have any intention to try it again for lunch or dinner and the prices are too high for such quality. read more

Relish offers signature burgers and a variety of local brews, wines & cocktails. Although food prices in hotels are generally more pricey than outside, the burgers was wonderful. Burger is juicy and tasted fantastic and presented very nicely. I can tell all ingredients were fresh. Also, burger was HUGE. I would comeback to order another one the next time I am in Seattle. There always seemed to be people waiting for a table...and bare minimum attention once served as there are too few servers to be able to circle around to refill coffee, etc. although those that are working are very efficient. I ate here several times during my stay. Limited menu but food was always okay, as expected. I do fault management however for not having any presence on site at this restaurant during peak hours to ensure all is running smoothly and to engage with customers and staff.
