This place does smash burgers right. We both tried the Lao burger and wow, the fusion works perfectly. The freshness from the cilantro and onions, the crispness of the patty edges and taro stem. The sauce. Everything had awesome flavor. The fries are bomb too. Probably the best smash burger I've tried in Seattle. The atmosphere is very cool as well. We sat outside and had a great time. Prices are reasonable enough for the area and what you get.

I initially visited Taurus Ox with the priority to snag the popular burger. While impressed with the ambiance, I thought some of the other menu items were underwhelming compared to the burger. This spinoff shop selling burgers is not only more convenient location wise, but also tastier in my humble opinion. Burgers are so simple yet they're perfected here. Lao Burger - this has been and likely will always be the star of the show. The bun is soft and slightly sweet, like the Hawaiian rolls. Inside are two smashed, juicy, tender patties accompanied by a plethora of contrasting flavors that enhance one another. The fatty pork belly, sharp milky cheese, pickled vegetables, and creamy, spicy, yet sweet mayo blend make up for an explosion of flavors.

In my search for the best smashburger in the Seattle area Ox Burger was on my must try list and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Lao Burger to go, and the Smashburger-Lao fusion makes it the most unique combination of flavors I have ever had in a burger. The pickled onions, provolone cheese, and their special mayo give this burger a very distinct taste that I did not expect to enjoy as much as I did. I would definitely like to come back and try more of their menu.

Best smash burger I've had in Seattle. It's actually smashed and crispy. Jaew bong cheeseburger was a great size for $6 during happy hour and the fries added on for $3.5 made it a complete filling meal for just $10. We also tried the Sweet Baby Clay burger for $7 during happy hour and I really liked the onion rings in it. Granted I wasn't a huge fan of the sharp taste of the jaew bong but it was otherwise good. Space is very small. My boyfriend joked we were in a garden shed. Service was fine but very minimal. I saw there was a Lao burger on the menu for $18 which seems quite pricy for a burger with no fries included. I'm glad they have cheaper items for happy hour.

What a gem to find this place! I love a good burger, and Ox Burger does a great job at making a standout fusion smash burger. Loved the crunch of the lotus root and also the pickled onions and the pork belly piece. Great flavors of sauces inside the burger and the fries were chunky. Thicker than Burger King fries but not wedges. Forgot to take a pic but the fries are shareable for 2 people! I recommend getting the Lao Burger and fries! Tried the chocolate chip cookie and it was like a thick cookie almost like a brownie consistency for those soft cookie lovers! Small space so it's hard to get seating for a group of 4+ if it's busy. Most people get to-go.

Ox Burger is the best burger you can find in WA. I've been here at least 3 times and each visit has been consistently excellent. My boyfriend prefers classic burgers and loves their Deluxe Burger. I personally love the flavors in their Lao Burger. Regardless of what burger you get, their smashed patties are incredibly juicy and flavorful, and the flavors and textures are wonderfully balanced. That being said, we come for the food and not the vibes. Parking in the area is challenging. It's small inside with very limited seating, which is unfortunate during the colder months. After you order, you might find a table inside if you're lucky, then proceed to get water/napkins. If you want a really good burger and don't mind some of these inconveniences, this is the spot.

I am not a huge burger person, but I absolutely LOVE Ox Burger (specifically for their Lao Burger). I like that they use taro stems because it's a lesser known ingredient and pairs well with the burger. I really like their garlic lime leaf aioli as well, it has a nice tang and tastes like tom yum to me. The hand cut fries are nice and thick, great for scooping up my sauce. Tbh I haven't tried anything else because I only go for the Lao Burger and fries, but I'll be open to trying something new the next time I go. There are a few tables inside and outdoor seating is available too. Service is quick and kind :)

Ox burger is a small cozy restaurant decorated with live plants. I loved the atmosphere. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food, and you bus your own dishes. They have a killer happy hour menu, 50% off beer and $6 burgers. We didn't realize the great deal and we had ordered ten minutes before happy hour was to start. Sad, but we'll have to try it again next time. We all ordered the famous Lao burger, fries were an extra charge($7), as well as the sauce($2)The amount of fries were enough for two people, thankfully, because they were a little pricy. The burger was also pricy as well ($18). But everything was worth it. The burger was different, a good tasting different flavor burger. I enjoyed the jaew bong mayo, and the cilantro gave it such a unique flavor. I can't wait to try their other burgers .

I've been hearing good things about this restaurant, so I decided to try it myself. I had their Lao burger and it was okay. The biggest thing was the price for me. You'd expect if a burger is $18, it would be amazing. The buns were cold, the meat wasn't as hot as I wanted, and even though there was two smashed patties, I feel like the amount of meat wasn't not adequate. The fries were okay as well. It's definitely big enough to share between two people. However, the fries were too salty for me. The ambiance was okay. It's quite small so seating is limited. Not the best vibes there. Just a place to eat. The service was okay too. Nothing out of the ordinary. The food didn't take long to make.

NGL fam, this is probably a top 3 burger in Seattle. The brotha/sista restaurant of Taurus Ox (a fire Lao restaurant in Seattle), Ox Burger features the Lao Burger, which is also on the menu at Taurus Ox. The Lao burger is a double smash patty burger with unique flavors including: taro stem, cilantro, and their special sauce. It all just works so FN well. A literal party in your mouth. Certified broke da mouth. Parking lowkey sucks but... def worth the visit. Their hand cut fries are solid. The chocolate chip cookie is meh. But don't get it twisted... the Lao burger will be the star of your meal.

Absolutely unreal burgers here! I don't eat meat so got the impossible cheeseburger and it was probably the best vegetarian burger i've ever had. We also got the fries which were hot, crispy, and well seasoned! We ate outside and they brought our food to us (so nice) and the place was very well organized for you to be able to just grab what you need. They were also playing very good music :)

Came here for happy hour and ordered the Jaew Bong Bacon Cheeseburger with fries! Both were solid, but the standout for me was definitely the garlic lime aioli! The flavor was so unique. I'm already a fan of lime leaf in curries, but having it in this sauce was a total game changer! This HH burger was tasty, but I still prefer their Lao Burger, it's hands down one of my all time favorite burgers. The taro stem gives it such a unique texture you really can't find anywhere else. Every time I have guests visiting from out of state, this is one of the spots I always recommend. I've never been disappointed !

TLDR: Great happy hour price (2-5p DAILY) and delicious sauce. Service was quick and everything came out piping hot. Water, seating, and utensils are all self serve. If you sit out, I recommend cleaning the table tops - it doesn't LOOK dusty but trust me, they are Seasoned fries were tasty and the garlic cilantro aioli was my favorite sauce. The mayo was too gingery for me. In terms of the burger, there's too much bread for my taste. Might have been different if I had gotten two patties (extra $3) or if there were more veggies on the burger.

The restaurant itself leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm not asking too much. I believe the owner said he was trying to revamp the place. I hope that the area comes alive in the future years, that should help. Here's the issue though, this is the slowest spot ever. I've waited 30 minutes for fries - FRIES. I don't mind waiting for food, but it should remain reasonable. There were only two or three people working, and one man did tell us this, but I need to be honest - this was on Super Bowl Sunday. No one was able to get anyone a beer from the tap for 40 minutes, the food took forever and it appeared that online orders were being prioritized (which makes sense, you make as you get orders coming in, but that puts your in person customers in an odd and sometimes frustrating position). To be honest, I probably wouldn't have minded as much if I just had some fries to snack on. I didn't mind as much this one time because I was just happy to find a place to watch the Super Bowl Half Time show, but other days, it's a little hard to look past. I wish this business the best, I live too close to not hope for its improvement! Looking forward to updating my review. At the end of the day, if you're hungry, it's late, this is your spot.

We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine.
