We came in here to get some drinks before entering the museum and was shocked at the prices. A can of soda was $5. I ended up getting an Italian soda with strawberry. It was pricer than the soda but I didn't mind that... I just couldn't pay $5 for a can of coke. The Italian soda was pretty good. It was club soda with strawberry flavoring .

Consistently good food options, the times I have eaten here with my aunt when visiting the Museum of Pop Culture. Culture Kitchen is located just in and to the side of the main entrance/exit to the museum on 5th Avenue North. I have had the burger and fries and this time, Tuesday 22 August 2023, the Seattle Philly with fries. Pricing was in the $15 to $20 range each time, fries included. The fries each time were well salted and crisp, though not too oily. Between the burger and the Seattle Philly, I preferred the burger. The cheese on the Seattle Philly was a bit strong, though the bun was soft and the meat mixture inside the bun was not sparse on veggies. The tables are well set-up and are in a bus-your-own-table style. Napkins, water, and condiments are available by where one places one's order.

Culture Kitchen is located inside Museum of Pop Culture on the Seattle Center campus at 325 5th Ave. North. You can enter through MoPOP or it's own main street entrance. Food was decent. A bit pricey in my opinion for the amount of food. It is about the same price point as most museum, botanical gardens, and event food locations. I had the Pork Belly Banh Mi ($18) with a Diet Coke. Total cost was $24.26 for a sandwich and drink with tax and tip for one. Service was pretty much self service kiosk or phone ordering with only real interaction from food pick up. Ambiance was cool. Modern vibe with an indoor open seating area and a full bar. Indoor dining area is open so you can see out into the lobby of the Museum of Pop Culture and all the activity. We set outside in the outdoor seating area and enjoyed the weather. I would have gone with four stars if I felt like my sandwich was more full and not so skimpy for the price. It was ok and we needed to eat. I would recommend if you are spending some time at MoPOP as it's super convenient and also a good option if you are at the Seattle Center.

I ordered the "baby wedge" salad. It was the best wedge/blue cheese salad I've had in years. Also, it is a BIG baby, if you ask me. I'll be back. UPDATE: Have also had the Philly & the Hometown Burger. Both also 5 stars.

The restaurant is very spacious and clean with a modern vibe to it. The service is spot on with friendly staff. The food was good and had an interesting concept. The deviled eggs were creamy and the crab kicked it up a notch. The pretzel charcuterie was filling and great to share. Everything was fresh and paired well together. For the drink, the Bloody Mary was spiced perfectly and the kimchi went well with it. To top it off, it even had a probiotic shot in it. Overall, this is a great place for a bite before or after the museum.

The staff is always nice! Pretty fast considering peak summer rush. Although the drinks can take a while. There's ample seating upstairs and downstairs even during peak summer rush. Overall, on the pricey side (as expected for museum foods) but pretty good (for museum food). However, MoPOP always unlimited reentry with receipt for the day during opening hours. So, unless you're starving, I would recommend taking the monorail down to Pike Place or go somewhere around the area for more options, and higher quality more affordable food. 1. BLT - probably my favorite out of everything taking price into account. It's not horrendously expensive, and sometimes I crave this sandwich. Just look at that thick cut bacon! 2. Poke - For $18, this costs as much as other poke places in the area so not a bad deal! The fish is surprisingly pretty fresh and they a variety of plentiful toppings! Nothing exceptional, but a solid choice. 3. Chicken and waffles - my partner and I were blown away by this! To be fair, we have low expectations for museum food but this has no business being that good! I'm regularly have chicken and waffles in Dallas, and this is pretty up to par considering other options in Seattle. Also a solid choice. Again, not a bad a place to dine at if you're hungry and just need food quickly. But if you're visiting the area, I would recommend adventuring outside Seattle Center.

bar menu and in bloom cocktail

Solid food and strong drinks, especially for a museum restaurant. Ate at the bar, Emily the bartender was wonderful. Very welcoming and kind. Vibes are great, loved the pop culture themed drink menu. Got the In Bloom cocktail - strong, spicy, unique and the deviled eggs.

Look no further than Anchorhead Coffee. They've been around since 2013 and I've always enjoyed their coffee and the ambiance in their cafes. Today, I stopped by their Pike Place Market location and also got friendly service. I tried their seasonal Salted Brown Butter Caramel Latte. Their caramel is made in house. I got my drink hot and it was delicious with the melted caramel. I was pleased that this drink was not too sweet compared to most flavored drinks in other cafes. The location of this cafe is a little off the beaten track, which means it may typically get less foot traffic compared to other cafes in the heart of the market that often has long lines. If you want to avoid those long lines, go here. This place also has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. check it out for yourself soon!

We tried a few, but we ended up coming to Anchorhead twice. We tried the Honey Bunches of Cold Brew and the Blue Berry Matcha. I love my sweet coffees, and the Honey Bunches of Cold Brew hits the spot. It was delicious and you can taste the flavors of the cereal. I'm not a matcha fan, but the flavors from the blueberry paired nicely with the matcha. I would definitely recommend this as well. The dining area and bathrooms were clean, wifi was good, and the staff was nice. This place checks all the boxes for a welcoming coffee stop.

Both were delicious and definitely on the lighter side rather than a dark oolong. Crimson Mist leaned more earthy, while Golden Bloom was noticeably more floral. I mainly came for their premium kung fu tea, and honestly, the menu is overwhelming in the best way possible. I wanted to try everything. This time, I went with the Mountain Haze Green Tea. Grown at high altitudes, it's very light, smooth, and low in bitterness. The tea is steeped for you and served in a pot, and you can request multiple cups if you're sharing, which is a nice touch. Since green tea is a popular choice, here are a few extra notes. Dragonwell, typically from Hangzhou, has a nutty sweetness with subtle chestnut notes. Taichi Sprouts is milder and more grassy, but still carries a gentle sweetness. And if you're unsure what to order, Jasmine Green is always a safe bet, you can't go wrong with its classic floral aroma. Huge shoutout to Jessie for taking the time to clearly explain the different tea categories. I'll definitely be coming back, and next time I want to try their ice cream as well.

We were initially enticed to visit Chaco Coffee & Tea given the mention of boba on their website. There aren't many options near Seattle Center, so having an additional one is always welcome! Walking in, unfortunately we found no mention of boba anywhere on the menu. I guess it's a future option or perhaps the website is just wrong, considering that they show photos of rolled ice cream, which they also don't serve. Ordering can be done either in person or at a kiosk near the front. There's plenty of seating and while we entered in the late afternoon, there were still several people inside settled down on laptops. Osmanthus Oolong Tea, 16oz ($6.25) - This is a very lightly sweetened beverage with plenty of fragrant flowery flavor emanating from the osmanthus. It's a really clean flavor, not quite grassy, but somewhat green in essence, coming with just a slight astringent bite towards the finish. It's a good, clean iced tea. (4/5) Da Hong Pao Tea Latte ($7.50) - This latte has a nice strong balanced nutty flavor. I saw the barista pour milk into the cup up to maybe 3/4 full, so I'm surprised that the tea flavor is so strong in this drink. The milk adds tons of body but doesn't contribute an overwhelming dairy flavor. They add a lot more sugar syrup into this drink - it's probably equivalent to 75% sweet or so at a boba shop, although it's not harsh at all due to likely being pure cane syrup instead of fructose. (4/5) The tea quality at Chaco is pretty good. It's always nice to see a cafe (rather than a tea shop) with such great variety! The major downside - pricing is really high especially for some of the premium teas. It's like double the price of actual tea shops in Seattle. I guess that's the Seattle Center tax? Bathrooms - Shared with the rest of the building tenants.
