I had to try some pizza while I was in Seattle. Serious pie was on my list. This probably isn't the place to go if you're looking for a classic Seattle style slice, since the pizzas here are more specialty personal pies, but the food was still really good. Started with the beef and pork meatballs, and I have to say they were amazing. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. I also got a side of focaccia, which went well with the meatballs. For the pizzas, I tried both the fresh mozzarella and the spicy chicken sausage. Both were tasty and had their own distinct flavors, so it was nice being able to try two different varieties.
This was definitely one of my favorite spots to eat while visiting Seattle. Food was delicious and fresh. Service was great, had a waiter that was super attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in town again!
This place was great. The crust for the pizza was so light and airy yet chewy and slightly crispy. I liked that it wasn't soggy. The cream pie for dessert was light and not too sweet, making it a perfect way to end the night ($16 is quite steep though). Service was also fantastic. This would make a great date night spot.
Came in on a thursday around 12 as a group of 5 (2 adults 3 kids) and got seated no problem. The pizza was good, but pricey. For these two pizzas it came out to a bit over $55. However the service wasn't good. After being seated it became clear the difference in energy and service everyone around us was getting. I'm not sure if the assumption was that we weren't going to tip since we were on the younger side compared to the rest of the customers or what was going on. We weren't checked on, took awhile for us to get water refills, and to get the bill. While every table near us was checked on regularly, had conversations with their server, and even those who entered after us were greeted with more energy and warmth than we did. If the assumption were that we weren't going to tip, then this was a great way to guarantee it. While the pizza was tasty, it wasn't good enough to come back for this treatment.
Was excited to try this place because of all the good reviews but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. Their pizzas range from $23-29, but they are pretty small/single serve in my opinion. Usually pizzas that expensive taste more gourmet but there was nothing special about any of these pizzas. You'd probably satisfy this same craving with a slice of Costco pizza which is way cheaper. The pasta on their menu was also subpar and nothing much to rave about. Service was okay, but it took a while to flag down our servers and get them to take our orders, bring us water, and pay for the bill. Overall I think for your money, it's not too worth it to come here- especially because parking is also terrible in downtown

It's the kind of place where you settle in, sip something cold, and feel like the night's off to a solid start before a concert at the Moore. The salad came out looking vibrant, but the flavors didn't land. The olives took over the whole bowl, and the seasoning felt off and I couldn't pinpoint it. Fresh ingredients, such as the peas were the best by far but the balance just wasn't there. The pizza was fine, not bad, not memorable. It didn't leave you thinking about it later. The charcuterie board wasn't anything to rave about either just an average plate. Still, the vibe alone makes it a decent spot to meet up, snack, and enjoy the space! The service was great!

I appreciated they offered parm on the side. The herb shaker on the table added a nice flavor. Its location is perfect as it is within walking distance to these popular venues. But they also have serve up some of the tastiest pizzas in town and the service is always friendly. I mean, that probably sums it up for this great spot. We especially love their Penn Cove Clams, Yukon Gold Potato, Pepperoni Pizza, and ferndale farms mozzarella. We frequently add meatballs for the pizza crust and their meatballs are great. The Charcuterie Board was also good but not the star of the show. The interior is very well decorated, clean, and family-friendly. Their bathroom is also very clean and very well maintained.

The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the booth was spacious and comfortable after a long morning of walking. We started with the fresh mixed greens and delicious charred Brussels sprouts. For mains, we shared two incredible pies: a savory sweet fennel sausage and pepperoni pizza, and a unique sweet-savory roasted pear, pancetta, and hot honey pizza. Service was fast, attentive, and seamless from start to finish!

We had the radiatore pasta and sweet fennel sausage pizza (ate that before I could snap a pic). Ambiance is nice for a date night or happy hour with friends! Will come back.
I love sharing a good meal with people, but I also love a solo dinner at a bar. The service was super prompt, everything was ready quickly, and the bartender was polite, so major points for that! I ordered an Italian Paloma (a Paloma with Campari) and a clam pizza. The cocktail was so tasty. The pizza was good, but I felt like there was way too much cheese and that was all I could taste.

More indifferent service at a Tom Douglas restaurant (3 out of 4 of them were that way on this trip). Food was decent if not an especial value for the fare, drinks were nothing special and - maybe repair the vinyl on those booths, eh - the dining room isn't in the best shape it's ever been in. Not particularly likely to return. read more

Really love how crispy their crust gets with every pizza. They season each pie with a well rounded flavor, never too much, never too little with each bite. Everybody's service during the dinner was great. Lower lighting vibe if that's your thing, definitely a more casual date spot or just time with friends! read more

The best pizza in Seattle! Got the pepperoni half pizza for happy hour and it was great. Crust was fluffy and crispy. Pizza had no flop to it and the undercarriage had a nice color to it as well. Most importantly our server, Lanti was amazing! The man has great hospitality, mannerism and knowledge. He went over the menu with us and showed us some really cool menu items. Overall, the food was amazing, the ambiance was welcoming and most importantly our server, Lanti was the true star of the show. The guy deserves a promotion! The dough!! It was so good!! Also really enjoyed the flavor combos! There was a wait but it wasn't too crazy, I didn't make a reservation. Not much of a beer or amaro selection, but amazing food. I also went in on a seperate day and got the mortadella sandwich, that was the best I've had. Service was good the first time and bad the second time. read more

Service was good as well as the food. We were a party of 9 and we had reservations. They now ask for your credit card when making reservations for big parties and will charge you $10 per person if it's a no show. I love their seasonal salads and I love all their pizzas; I can't just pick one bc they are ALL so delicious. Definitely worth returning. read more
It was an easy walk for us from the Airbnb we were staying at while visiting Seattle. On a Wednesday around 7 we were able to get a table within 5 minutes. Staff were fine, not overly attentive or not attentive enough...just the way I like it. The table itself was comfortable but a little close together for my liking. We had the house salad and it was fantastic. We shared a potato pie with added pepperoni and really enjoyed it. I had an amber ale beer that hit the spot. Prices are a bit high for what you get though ex. $16 for salad and $6 to add pepperoni to a pizza. read more
After hearing the buzz about Serious Pie for years, I finally had to try it out. Honestly, I had forgotten I visited here on my first trip to Seattle back in 2017! Clearly, I have grown over the years by the change in my review! So recently I've tried both take-out and dine-in, and my conclusion: take-out was a bust. The pizza just lost its magic on the ride home. The crust wasn't as crisp, and the flavors didn't pop in the same way. The experience dining in at the downtown restaurant was night and day. The smell of the fire, coupled with the busy, fast-moving environment, created a fantastic atmosphere. The real star of the show is the Penn Cove Clam Pizza. The combination of salty clams, savory pancetta, and a hint of lemon thyme on that perfectly charred crust is a truly spectacular flavor combination. This is a pizza that demands to be eaten fresh, right out of the oven, with the crust still blistered and the toppings steaming. I'm giving Serious Pie 4 out of 5 stars because it is a bit pricey, but for the dine-in experience, it's absolutely worth every penny. Just do yourself a favor and plan to dine in. read more

Usually a fan of Serious Pie, but this visit was a bit mixed. We got the mozzarella pizza and tomato soup--the soup was cozy and flavorful. The pizza crust was overly crisp this time and felt a bit off, missing that usual magic. BUT the Barbera wine totally made up for it. Smooth, bold, and paired perfectly. And the coconut pie? Total hit. Sweet, creamy, and exactly what we needed to end on a high note. Still a great spot overall--everyone has off days, even pizza places! read more
We visited Serious Pie Downtown on day one of our conference--tired, hungry, and ready to eat. The ambiance was warm, our server was cool, and the food was nice, too . We shared a few pizzas: I had the sweet fennel sausage with roasted peppers, provolone, and added pepperoni--delicious. Another favorite was the roasted mushroom with truffle cheese. One special with green beans didn't quite land, but overall, everything was tasty. Drinks were great, too. A bit pricey for pizza, but worth it in a sense for the quality and vibe. read more

I came for lunch on a Tuesday and there was no wait. We had a larger party, but the food came out pretty fast as well and the restaurant felt clean. I liked the flavor of this pizza; you could taste the herbs in the sausage and the peppers were a nice add. I would say it was a tad soggy though, I prefer a pizza that can hold its shape when you pick up a slice. read more
Finally able to get back here. I'm usually too early after my haircut downtown, I'm hungry and end up getting lunch at Dahlia Bakery. It's hard to believe I got a table here. It had just opened for lunch and there were a handful of folks seated. Hard to imagine since its sister restaurant Lola is packed. (I ate there last week about the same time. See my review). Anyway on to my lunch. I always go for the Penn cove clam and prosciutto pizza but decided to be adventurous and had the pizza special. It was brushed with olive oil, topped with Mortadella, goat cheese and pistachios. What a great combination. The flavors melded together with the crunch of the pistachios and the thin crispy crust. Just wow! . So good. I can't wait to come back. read more

Went on 04/24/2025, From the moment we walked into Serious Pie Downtown, we were impressed. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of life, yet still cozy and inviting. Even though the place was busy, the staff were incredibly personable and attentive, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of. We ordered the Yukon Gold Potato, Ferndale Farm mozzarella and the Roasted Oyster & Crimini Mushroom pizza with truffle cheese and wow, they were both out of this world! The crust was perfection crispy, chewy, and full of flavor. Each bite was a perfect balance of fresh, high-quality ingredients. We also tried their lemonades, which were light, refreshing, and a great complement to the savory pizzas. The music added to the vibe, upbeat but not too loud, allowing for easy conversation. The restaurant was spotless, and despite the crowd, everything ran smoothly. What really stood out was how reasonably priced everything was, especially for the exceptional quality and experience. Serious Pie is more than just pizza, it's a full-on culinary treat in a relaxed, feel-good setting. We can't wait to return! read more

After a long day of exploring downtown Seattle and visiting a museum, my friend and I stopped into Serious Pie on a Friday afternoon. We had dinner reservations and were seeking a snack to hold us over. We noticed that Serious Pie offered $8 half pies for happy hour so we agreed to try it out. Once inside, we were seated immediately and able to place our order. What arrived was about the size of a personal pan pizza fresh from the oven. For the price, it did the trick. My only complaint, and the reason I docked a star, is because the mozzarella on the pizza, once lifted, fell off in a solid chunk either falling on the plate and taking the rest of the ingredients with it or forcing you to handle a mouthful of hot mozzarella at once. Twas difficult to eat despite the good flavor. Wouldn't hesitate to visit and try other menu items in the future though. read more

First time visiting this location. My friends and I were starving and didn't know what to expect, but the menu offered a variety of unique pizzas. I ordered a kale salad as my entrée, which I really enjoyed--it was excellent for my personal taste. However, the pizza itself wasn't my favorite. Our table ordered the Yukon Gold potato pizza, which I didn't particularly like; it was too carb-heavy and dry for me. We also tried the pear and pancetta pizza, but since I'm not a fan of sweet flavors in my food, it wasn't to my liking. If you're looking for a more traditional pizza joint, this isn't it. That said, the staff was friendly and attentive, which made for a pleasant dining experience overall. read more

TLDR: food was great, price point was questionable overall. First of all-- the spicy ranch has no business being that good. Not even a ranch lover but...dang. I would order that all day. Staff was great and friendly. Negroni was good...although I can't get over how they do it with the small cubes in Seattle (encountered that in many places). I will echo another review that says the mozzarella is delish but comes off in giant globs...it's like you get one round-ish per slice and it is tricky to bite through without pulling off the rest. Also, considering the $3-4 for the pepperoni, I would have expected more. Also, the spicy ranch felt crazy overpriced. read more
Popped in here on a whim on an afternoon stroll and was pleasantly impressed by their Happy Hour menu. The dim (but not too dark) lighting was the perfect respite on a hot summer day. I grabbed a cooling beet and fig salad with a half-sized sausage and pepper pizza that was delightfully flavorful. The crust was a perfect flat and soft yet crisp texture. The service was quick and warm. An all round win in my book! read more

Yes absolutely. The place is extremely nice and the pies are delicious.
Are they still offering happy hour?
They've recently started up happy hour again, and it runs Monday through Friday 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. I love the half-sized happy hour pizzas!
Do they have gluten free pizza?
No gluten free options as of now and I don't think they will go that route.
Can you just order a pepperoni pizza?
According to the menu, you can add pepperoni to any pizza, and they have a basic plain cheese pizza you can start from.
I see it's marked good for kids ... do they have a kids menu?
Not specific kids menu. It's non traditional pizza toppings. They do have ice creams and cannolis.
How is parking?
Street parking only. Pay parking garage in the Bed Bath & Beyond across the street. Pay surface lots near by too.
Do they have gluten free pizza crust options yet?
I just called to ask. They do not have GF crust.
I ordered a wine here that the waitress suggested. It had a slight after taste of honey and I was wondering if anyone knew which wine it is?
No, but the waitress was so kind and let me sample the wine on happy hour to see if I liked it. She was kind and very helpful.
