My meal and tea were perfect! I'm not sure why I didn't know this place existed and it was delicious. I loved the atmosphere and amazing customer service. I will be back many many more times! This is definitely a spot for myself to enjoy a breakfast alone or with a girlfriend's. I don't think I would bring my 3 boys but I would definitely bring my daughter. My meal was very Light and perfect for what I needed but it wouldn't fill up my 6ft tall football playing boys. It's like 4-5 mins from the college campus so I continue to come here for my lunch breaks because I want to try more of the menu! You order at the counter and they bring you your food after. I really wanted to like this place, and granted I did get takeout, but my experience with the food here was very disappointing. It was an odd ratio of meat to rice and veggies, with there being too much rice and not enough protein in my opinion. The meat was also very salty, whereas the brown rice didn't really offer much flavor. I also didn't feel the best after eating it so it does make me wonder if that if the ingredients are as clean as they advertise... Unfortunately I will not be coming back here. read more

Let me start off with how incredible the staff are at this place, it felt like being at your mother's home after a long semester in college, where not only does the food drown your sorrows, but the joy of Meg and Russ makes you walk out feeling refreshed and recovered from whatever life had thrown your way. Russ definitely makes the meanest latte while making muffled grunts, but hey he's a cool guy who will make way for a traveler to feel welcomed. After a long flight in I needed the jolt to make me feel like I was alive like the monster in Frankenstein. If anyone needs any other reason to go, the flapjacks alone are my favorite item. 100/10 would recommend. It was ironic because I don't even like autumn but this redefined my frontal cortex with how explosive the flavor of these are. The last time I was there Meg asked what I wanted and I said "basic breakky with bacon" and she looked at me up and down, almost threatening to kick me out for saying "the B word" and goes "boy the salt alone will kill you, we don't do that here" as she Z snaps me with an Attitude only a mother could provide to check you. . My mother and I both ordered it and neither of us could choke it down even though we tried. This Cafe needs some help. Food was not good at all and I would not come back. Majority of seating is one super long table that you are supposed to sit at with other patrons cafeteria style. Not what I was expecting. You are also required to tip at the counter when you order, which I am not a fan of. Small details were very crude - salt & pepper was the large size you'd see used in a commercial kitchen, not approptiate to drop at individual tables for use as personal seasoning. I've been back a few more times and upon further consideration, I think this is more of a 3/3.5 star place than a 3.5/4 star place, mostly because the service process is really disorganized. They usually only have one person working the register (you order at the counter) and being the expeditor, runner, and busser. This might work if they didn't have a ton of takeout/delivery orders, but once you throw that into the mix it becomes chaos even at non peak hours. I recognize that labor is expensive, however there are other, similar restaurants in the neighborhood that make it work. They either need to hire someone to run/bus/pack to go orders, or buy a couple iPads to let people place orders independently, or both. This is supposed to be a fast casual type of place, but it's definitely not fast. The kitchen itself actually seems pretty efficient, but the front end needs a better strategy. My family and I used to really enjoy Bounty Kitchen, it was one of our go-to spots for fresh, hearty salads. Unfortunately, something has definitely changed. The portions have become shockingly small, and they've started being really stingy with the dressing. Every time I order, the salad is dry. And before anyone says it was a one-off -- no, I actually gave it three separate chances (because we used to love this place). Even ordered three salads at once to see if maybe it was just inconsistency. Nope! All three looked like they were portioned for a child's meal. For reference, I'm 5'3" and 112 lbs and I was still left hungry. That says a lot. It's a shame because the quality used to be great, but this new "tiny salad" is just too obvious to ignore. read more

Both of us were satisfied with our meal. The sourdough they serve may be the best sourdough I've ever had. My wife also had a juice, which was refreshing, although a bit small. In general, the portions are smaller than we expected, but that was actually great since portion sizes in the US tend to be unnecessarily large. The food is always so delicious, and I really recommend the hibiscus iced tea! Great breakfast options and I really love the havana bowl for dinner. The detox salad is also great. Nice area and nice ambiance. The only weird thing is a lot of menu options claim they come with a poached egg, but even if you ask/confirm that fact beforehand, what comes out is often a hard boiled egg. I was too confused to ask about it all the times this happened - hard boiled eggs are extremely gross to me, but it seems like they are under the impression that that's the same thing as poaching? It's not that it's just overcooked, or that I got someone else's order. It keeps happening, on 4 visits months apart, it really seems like they're hard-boiling them instead of poaching. This is my go to neighborhood brunch place! It's super cozy and great place to catch up with friends. There are limited street parking and they fill up during the weekend so plan accordingly I went on a Saturday morning around 10:30 and the place filled up by 11. Ambience - The counter is grab and go and there's a ton of seating including on a large communal table so it's easy to come with a non-standard group size (3 people in our case) and quickly seat ourselves. Food - There are so many vegan/vegetarian brunch/breakfast options and they all seem healthy and filling! Would definitely come back to try more! I had the Marrakech Market Bowl - a large salad with Cous Cous, chick peas and other goodies. There was a lot of arugula which made me feel quite virtuous but I wish there was a larger ratio of the other goodies in this salad. I chose the Sweet Potato Tacos on corn tortillas. They were plentiful, flavorful, and perfect for a full size lunch. She had a sandwich with braised beef. She said it was amazing. She also had a bowl of the ginger carrot soup and she couldn't stop raving about the taste of the soup. Between us, we had several food restrictions, which they cheerfully accommodated. We came here for lunch on a Monday and it was good. The interior is nice and there is a decent amount of room to sit. They also have an outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. The menu has lots of good options and I ended up getting the Cheese Steak. The ingredients were good and came tgether nicely, except that the bun was a bit too firm for me. I also got it to-go so ate at home about 10 minutes later. In hindsight, we should have ordered ahead of time as our food took some time when we got our food to go. People who were dining in were getting their food quicker. It took about 25 minutes for our food to be ready. Queen Anne is a great spot in Seattle. There was construction going on next door which was a little loud and distracting, but that isn't the restaurant's fault. We ordered some coffee drinks, their ginger wellness shot (recommend) and then for brunch my husband got their breakfast sandwich with avocado, I got their veggie scramble and then we split the apple pancakes. All was so delicious! They have enough vegetarian options to appease all diets and you can add various sides as well.
