My husband and I have been dining with this ownership team for years -- long before their newest restaurant opened in 2017. We used to go to their original spot across the street, even before we knew each other, and the owners have always treated us with genuine warmth and consistency. Watching their newer restaurant evolve over the last eight years -- through COVID, staffing challenges, and all the ups and downs every restaurant has faced -- has been remarkable. Today, the restaurant is truly at its best. The biggest transformation has come from the chef, who moved over from their original restaurant. He is easily one of the top chefs in Seattle -- the kind of talent you can taste in every dish. The food has never been better, and it finally feels like the upscale vision they intended when they opened. Johanna, the manager, deserves special recognition. She has a way of making us feel at home without ever making a fuss -- a quick smile, a warm hello, a moment of shared humor. It's subtle, effortless hospitality, and it makes a difference. The bar team has also become the strongest it's ever been. Janaye (Jae) and Loan are outstanding -- friendly, attentive, and consistently on top of everything. We still miss Frankie, who no longer works there, but the current team is truly excellent. Cody, the bartender, is always kind and welcoming. He greets us with a smile every time. He's a great bartender, and although he sometimes seems a bit reserved, he's always courteous and professional. For the record -- we don't sit at the bar because the seats are uncomfortable, not because of him. He's wonderful at what he does. After years of being regulars, we can honestly say this restaurant is now operating at its highest level -- exceptional food, thoughtful management, and the best service team they've ever had. Started with the charcuterie which was delicious and plenty big to share with the table. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and my wife had the stealhead trout. Both were very tasty. We had the best waitress so sweet and accommodating but also had the best recommendations. I got the Bistec and got the side salad and potatoes subbed for Alfredo pasta. The steak was perfect, rare and tender like I love, the pasta with simple with flavor, I could taste the lemon and fresh cream but it was lacking in flavor so I was a little miffed. The overall consensus was that the pasta was overcooked and chewy with fettuccini Alfredo is was alright but pasta is staple Italian food so that's why the star. Aside from that we had a lovely time and the tiramisu was to die for. It's my favorite dessert dish and I was very very satisfied with that. From the owners of Barolo, Cinque Terre is a more modern interpretation of Italian food in a space nearby in SLU. Like Barolo, they have a killer HH and on Sundays, it's all day long! With a group of 6, we were able to try a good number of items including: - CALAMARETTI ALLA PIASTRA - BUCATINI AL CINGHIALE - MARGHERITA PIZZA - BISTECCA DI MANZO - POLPO MARIO What I really appreciated was that the food was very flavorful without being overly salty. Loved the fact that the calamari was grilled and not fried. The bucatini was rich without being too heavy. The pizza was really much better than I was expecting with a crust that had just the right amount of chewiness. The steak is a steal at HH prices, and the octopus was also perfectly cooked and not at all rubbery. Also enjoyed a nice Monterosso cocktail with aperol and bourbon, before downing a couple of pints of Elysian Space Dust. There was primarily one server in the lounge, but she did a fantastic job of attending to all of the tables with help with dishes when they came out. Not sure why I haven't been here before but Cinque Terre is definitely a spot to hit while in SLU. read more

We had dinner here before heading to a show and the easy parking in their garage after 4pm definitely played a huge role in why we picked the place. We didn't want to search for street parking or pay two garages that night. The restaurant is nice, open and modern and our server was super sweet, she had a lot of tables on her hands, but managed to keep everyone fed and happy. I'd say the food is average Italian, I'm very picky when someone claims authentic Italian and I was slightly disappointed. The pasta was almost too aldente and my sauce was very gently seasoned, it could have certainly used more flavor. My husband was happier with his dish, but also lightly seasoned, butwe did like the dessert. We also loved the nice choice of non alcoholic cocktails, I love when restaurants think about that and offer some exciting options. They definitely get points for drinks, parking and service, so I won't count this out for future visits. read more

This entire meal cost us $60 (no tip yet) because the tiramisu was on the house. Service attitude was all good but it's not easy to get serviced (needed to wait for our server to drop by). Nice environment, looks clean and classy. Starter Squid. Liked the crispy texture. Aged pork belly: a rather memorable experience (cheese ball wrapped in aged pork belly slices). Quite flavorful. Main course. Seafood soup. Overpriced but tastes good. There's one piece of soaked bread in it. Would've loved to get more for that price ($44). Steelhead and mashed potato. Overpriced but cooked quite well. The fish is not dry at all. I've been here several times and the service is consistently great. The wait staff is friendly, on-it, and--rare plot twist in hospitality--you can tell they don't hate being here. Big credit to management for creating a place where the team actually seems happy. Food-wise, my usual is the clams and mussels, which are reliably excellent. Don't sleep on the bread either--it's warm, cheesy focaccia. Ambiance is great - whether you sit inside or outside. On my latest visit (Friday 10/3), I veered off-script and ordered a pizza. I asked for pepperoni that was "extra crispy," and they nailed both--totally accommodating and way above and beyond. Legit some of the best pizza I've had in Seattle. Johanna took care of us and was fantastic. Had the opportunity to have New Year's Eve dinner here. We had reservations for 10 and had a nice table in the back. This was our 1st time here and the food and service were outstanding, especially for being so busy on the holiday. We love Italian restaurants so we were excited to check it out. We started off with oysters, Caesar salad, and the calamari. Everything was great but special callout on the calamari which wasn't breaded and had great flavor. For our mains we had the fettuccine with shrimp, the bucatini with boar, the lamb shank, and the special lasagna with Dungeness crab. All of the pastas are hand made to perfection. I ordered the fettuccine and thought it was delicious but my wife had the bucatini and that was definitely the best dish out of everything. Highly recommend. Restaurant was nice, modern and clean. A bit loud but it was also a holiday weekend. The only negative to our experience was that the host came to our table and asked us to leave because there was another reservation waiting. They did it in kind of a rude way and I might have been ok with it if we were told we only had a certain amount of time but we weren't. We also weren't there that long either. Kind of ruined the experience. Overall though good food and great waiter. read more

This chic restaurant is about a 10-15 min walk from the convention center and is close to the Amazon spheres in the Denny Triangle neighborhood. It was a little pricey, but a memorable last supper in Seattle. First, the service is attentive when you arrive at your reservation time. I ordered a glass of wine while waiting for my colleague to finish his meeting. The interior blue light is relaxing - would recommend this place for friends or couples on a Friday night who want to celebrate the end of a work week. Second, the pasta special with lamb was delightful. My colleague enjoyed his chicken parmigiana dish a lot. The only tiny blemish was the olives and cheese appetizer which was meh (reminded me to Trader Joe's - nothing special). My friend and i went for their happy hour. Food was alright but it was more so the service that I had a gripe with. We were restricted to this small corner of the restaurant which i would assume is only for the people who were there for happy hour, which i found strange (the rest of the restaurant was pretty empty). We ordered a good amount of food as you can see and our waitress was kind enough to bring another two top table for this food to fit comfortably... only for the hostess to take it away after 2 minutes of having said table. No apologies, just said she needs it for a 4 guest table (also sitting in this tiny section while the restaurant was wide open), and took it after making us clear the table for her. You can see from the photo how the clams were sitting on the edge of the table because it's so tiny. I didn't think we would be punished for ordering more and giving them more of our business. When you walk in, the host is very friendly and the same service standard continues throughout the entire time. The drinks are all perfectly crafted with bold flavors. The carpaccio a very large and flavorful. They also have fresh Taylor Shellfish Farms oysters that rotate and are prepared up front. There were many dishes to choose from and all sounded fantastic. I had never donated that jacket; it was somehow donated through another means (via the lost bucket at his school, yet clearly labeled with his name).
