We really enjoy the happy hour here! The food is consistent and delicious. Every dish is executed very well. Servers are always friendly and accommodating to your dietary needs. Pretty relaxed atmosphere for large parties. Important to note that they have one spot available for disabled parking right in front of the restaurant. Cap Hill parking can be challenging.

Wow!! Amazing, spectacular 10/10 experience! We stopped by last minute on a busy Saturday night but were able to snag a table! We loved the ambiance of this place, such a warm and at home feel. The service was amazing and the vibes were perfect for a rainy evening in Seattle. My bf and I shared the spaghetti pomodoro with chicken and the AMAZING UNMATCHED focaccia bread. I'm still thinking about it!! Thanks for such an incredible pasta meal in Seattle :)

I went with my family for a birthday dinner during happy hour and it was great! We went around 4:15pm on a Friday and made a reservation ahead of time, so there was a table ready for us when we arrived. It wasn't too busy and was not too loud inside. We ordered off of the happy hour menu which is a great deal, and everything tasted amazing. Everyone loved the croquettes and the three pastas we got. The pappardelle pasta had hint of mint in every bite which was very unique and added a nice fresh taste to the dish. It was a lot of food for five people and we even had leftovers. I'd definitely recommend for some classic Italian food and would come back to try more.

One of our favorite places to dine at when we are in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Food is always fresh and flavorful. Generous portions and we love the atmosphere too- relaxing and the service is always great.

Late night Happy hour

Came in for the late-night happy hour on a Saturday (starts at 9 PM) and was seated quickly. We Tried the rigatoni, pappardelle, and cacio e pepe. All were perfectly al dente and generous portion size. The standout for me was definitely the pappardelle. Visiting from San Diego, and I have to say, this pasta outshines most Italian spots back home. Will 100% be back next time I'm in Seattle.

We had a great experience at Tavolàta! We the cocktails were great and the food was too. The focaccia was pretty good. We ordered the bucatini and the rigatoni. I rate the rigatoni 10/10 and the bucatini 5/10. The staff was great and the vibe was good too. We enjoyed sitting at the bar.

After a long day at the convention, we stop by this place to grab dinner with our group of 8! I don't think they're able to see larger groups than eight so that's also something to make a note of. When we arrived, we had to wait a while for a table to become available maybe about 20 to 30 minutes. When we entered, there's some restrooms to the left and the lighting inside is pretty dim. We all took a minute to look at the menu and then meet our orders. I personally got the spaghetti and meatballs the one with a lot of cheese on top. My friends got the truffle gnocchi and one of the carbonara pastas. Overall took maybe about 20 minutes to 30 minutes for all the food to come out. Some of our friends got drinks and those came out first of course. Overall, the food tasted pretty good. The pasta was a good texture.

Everything was so delicious! Not pictured is us devouring the chicken meatballs. We agreed that was the best thing we ate. We also had tiramisu and cannoli for dessert. The cannoli comes with two, which I didn't know. I wasn't very happy with the cannoli as the ricotta filling was very citrus forward, and I'm not into that. Service was great and it wasn't too crowded for 530pm on a Sunday.

a FANTASTIC italian meal at tavolata! It was a pretty upscale place and great prices. We came during restaurant week and shared a bottle of wine, but on weekdays there are also really good pasta wine deals I highly recommend taking advantage of. The pastas here were comparatively delightful to the ones I tried in Italy, which I loved, so that says a lot! Pictured above are the Rigatoni and Bucatini. I was impressed by the amount of protein in each of the pasta that we didn't even have to add extra. Both pastas were perfectly al dente as well and the flavors were well balanced. The server was also so nice and relatable, and made our meal feel so homey and welcome. Overall I'd change nothing about the experience, a well deserved 5/5!

Butternut Squash Ravioli

I found Tavolata to be just mediocre for the money. I sat at the bar tonight and ordered the focaccia from their happy hour menu ($8 down from $9 regular price-- such savings!) and the butternut squash ravioli. I asked for no balsamic with either of these items, but the bread still came with olive oil and balsamic mixed together in the same dish, a big pet peeve of mine. Additionally, the bread was warm on the edges but cold/ room temp in the middle. The butternut squash ravioli was good but I expected a larger portion for $30. And honestly, if I'm paying $30 for pasta with no protein, it had better be life changing. The final nail came from the 22% service charge added to the bill. The service was fine, but I think tacking on any more than 20% automatically to all bills is offensive. With the service charge, I paid $50 for bread and pasta, no drink. The quality just wasn't there for 50 bucks!

GOOD! The interior was very nice and perfect for a date night or get together meal! The pasta portions were decently big for some dishes. I was able to share the papadelle and was just enough to fill us. The sauce was good and you can tell that the pasta is hand made. The pasta was bit on the medium rare side with it being slightly undercooked. The price is a bit pricey, but the portion made up for it. Would recommend if you're in the area! But there are other places around.

Gnocchi alla Romana

My sister absolutely loves tavolata so I assume I would too. I came here with my friend after visiting another restaurant near by. We snacked at the other place so decided to get dinner here. The appetizer we ordered were great. We got burrata and focaccia. I really loved the burrata. So simple but so refreshing at the same time. The focaccia came with the honey butter that was so tasty! I ended up ordering the gnocchi and my friend got the pappardelle. We both didn't enjoy it and that's a shame because I usually love gnocchi. This didn't have the chew and bounce that I'm use too. It's serve in large round biscuit shape and very soft. Maybe it's the texture for me but I didn't like it and the sauce was a bit tart for my taste. I tried some of my friend's pappardelle and the sauce was a bit more mild but it was missing something. Maybe we had an off night since she said she normally really like it. The place was kind of dead for a Saturday night and the server was nice but sort of awkward haha. I'll have to try this again another time I suppose.

CAESAR SALAD
Erin K.

A great Italian restaurant in the heart of Capitol Hill. Great ambiance and I love its huge windows that bring in tons of natural light. I love all the wood tones and it has such a great home vibe. It is a great place for large parties or a friend's night out. They have a great happy hour deal and a great place to grab a drink and a bite to eat before the rest of your night. I got a glass of the rose which had wonderful clean flavors. For food, we ordered the Caesar Salad, Papparadelle, and Cacio e Pepe. My favorite was the Caesar Salad, light, flavorful, and not overly dressed. Both the Papparadelle and Cacio e Pepe were delicious but slightly on the heavier side. The pasta portions were quite large and made great leftovers. Everyone was so friendly and always checked in our us during our stay. Overall, a great place to grab some Italian cuisine.

While I was seated for my table at 6, I overheard people trying to get a table as a walk in and wait times were a couple hours long. We got their antipasto misto della casa where you get four of their antipasta and well worth it to try a little bit of everything. We don't go to fancy restaurants all that often, so definitely go for it! We got their staples, their two pastas: tajarin con burro e salvia and tajarin al ragu both half portions. I thought I would like their ragu more, but I absolutely loved their butter and sage so much more. It was perfectly salted and layers of flavors. Maiale Brasato Al Latte was the other main course and it was hearty and flavorful. It was actually hard to finish this meal affter the antipasto and pasta! They finished of our meal with a candle and apparently it's given to couples celebrating anniversaries to create an ambience and making a wish as a couple!

Finally a Monday night at 930 became available, I immediately grabbed it. They had a cancellation and actually called me see if I wanted an earlier reservation, which of course I jumped on that too. Appreciated they made the call and whoever cancelled. The ambiance gave old school and new school Italian vibes. The service from walking in to leaving was 5 star. Everyone was friendly. Our server was very attentive, and he was very thorough with explaining dishes and making recommendations. They started us off with complimentary rabbit pate on a crosstin with balsamic drizzle and fresh bread. The rabbit pate was very good. We started off with some cocktails, The paper plane, negroni, espresso martini and bello bandito. No complaints there. For food we tried the Insalata di cicoria - Chicory salad. It was topped with gorgonzola crumbles and pomegranate seeds. The salad was paired perfectly as the Chicory is on the bitter side. Next up was the Tajarin con burro E salvia, which was a fine hand cut egg yolk pasta with cultured butter and sage. I love you can order half or full plates. This pasta was velvety, and full of flavor. I normally do not like a thin pasta, but I loved this one! Risotto di mais was up next. This was a risotto with fresh corn and tomato butter, this was by far the best risotto I have ever had. We only ordered a half, but my next visit would be a full! The flavors all shined through. You could taste everything with each bite, the Parmesan, tomatoes butter, sweetness from the corn. All the food was amazing, but this was by far my favorite bite! Protein we went with the trota con fagioli, pan seared trout with salsa fagioli and carmalized onions. The salsa fagioli was a creamy white bean like sauce. The fish was pan seared perfectly with great flavor. Loved it, skin and all. Ended the meal with a decadent torta al cioccolato, chocolate cake with gianduja moose, chocolate buttercream, hazelnut brutti ma buoni and luxury cherries. I am not a dessert eater, although this looked amazing, I didn't try it, BUT my dinner companions loved it. I would never come back to Seattle without getting reservations here!

DUOMO PINK! 4.8…read more The restaurant can be a little tricky to find, tucked away in an alley with no signage to guide you. It felt a bit like hunting for a hidden restaurant or speakeasy, with both of us keeping our eyes peeled for the elusive "pink" door. I had imagined a bright, eye-catching pink, but the actual door was a soft, milky pink set against a gray building. I later learned that its color was inspired by the tiles of the Duomo in Florence, Italy. We had reservations and arrived early, just before the restaurant opened for lunch. Two lines were already forming: one for guests with reservations and another for walk-ins. As the minutes passed, the walk-in line grew exponentially. I distinctly remember thinking, 1) This place must be really good, and 2) Thank goodness we made reservations! Once inside, I was surprised by the restaurant's sheer size and variety of dining spaces, each with its own personality and vibe. The options included a lounge and bar area featuring a rotating lineup of scheduled performers/musicians, several indoor dining rooms, and an al fresco dining area on the view deck overlooking the bustling street below, Pike Place Market, and Elliott Bay. We dined in one of the indoor dining rooms, which was bathed in natural light. Seated beside one of the large hopper windows, we opened it slightly to let in the fresh ocean air. Our order included: *Hot Lemon Tea ~ A comforting beverage to start our meal. *La Fettunta ~ Crispy, buttered garlic bread. We hadn't realized that complimentary bread and butter were included with the meal, so we ordered this as an extra. We're certainly glad we did! The irresistible crispness was perfect, and it paired beautifully with our pasta dishes. *Antipasto of the House ~ An assortment of prosciutto, Tuscan bean salad, fresh mozzarella, tapenade, grilled vegetables, and salumi. A lovely medley of flavors to begin our Italian lunch. *Linguine Alle Vongole ~ Baby clams in their shells, pancetta, garlic, chilies, and white wine. So fresh and absolutely delicious! The clams, paired with garlic and white wine, made this dish especially memorable. *Pappardelle al Ragù Bolognese ~ Slow-simmered meat sauce finished with Parmigiano-Reggiano. I sampled my husband's dish and especially loved the broad ribbons of pappardelle, cooked to perfection and ideal for catching every bit of that rich, savory sauce. Between the sweeping views, delicious food, attentive service, and lively, upbeat energy, this restaurant has so much to offer. The atmosphere was every bit as memorable as the meal itself. It's places like this that make traveling such a joy, turning an ordinary lunch into a delightful experience and another memorable chapter in our adventures!

When I say this is probably my FAVORITE pasta I've had in Seattle, I'm not kidding... I almost cleared my plate which is hard for me as my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but I made it happen! For those short of time and live with no adventure I'll cut to the chase. The food is exquisite…read more For the rest, please read on. This last week while traveling for business to Seattle I had the pleasure of dining at Mezzanote. Their name of course implies it is an Italian restaurant but what you don't realize until you have sat and initiated your meal is that you, regardless of choice are embarking on a beautiful tribute to Northern Italian cuisine. At first arrival, the immediate impression is one of modest presentation but friendly and very inviting ambience. The staff, including our Server Marcus was attentive and had impeccable timing to read the table and flow of those joined in the meal. Check back was perfect and his service support was equally in tune with the other tables on the patio where we sat. Now this is what you have been waiting for... The food and I mean, we had almost one of every item on the menu and every dish was simply delicious. Tastes that were balanced and never overwhelming, but truly inspired dishes that your taste buds understand that the food was made with care and meant to satisfy even the toughest of pallets. Let's start with the house focaccia and ask for the disco sauce to dip your bread. It was a tummy satisfying start but then they dropped the focaccia regala and with the cheeses melted in a medley that left me thankful I was as they say "hungry as a hostage" because the meal had just begun. The next appetizer brought out was the Carote... This medley of carrots smoked with a Chile Honey Glaze left this BBQ born and raised Mexican wondering why ?? And then I had my first forkful and any doubt that I had about the chef creating something sacrilegious by smoking carrots left me, as the flavors were amazing. For a moment I forgot I was eating my vegetables.. where was this when I was a younger man. On to the main courses and the Reginette was first up. This Bolognese was a hearty blend of flavor and subtlety as it wasn't overly anything except satisfying. The Braciola Dia Miaale was a durock pork chop with a rhubar mostarda and salsify puree with asparagus that could not have been better. You didn't have to be a pork chop fan to enjoy this at all. Every dish that arrived was better than the one before. The Bucatini C'Anciuova, Prawns with Calabrian Chile, anchovies, tomatoe and orange zest was a delight and I don't normally eat anything overly spicy. This was a balance of heat with a twist of tang that the orange zest delivered flawlessly. Allow me to share that it is imperative you save room for dessert. Their tiramisu taste as if there is some Italian grandmother locked away in a pastry room kicking these out. They have other desserts to be sure, but this is the star of the show in my opinion. For those of you that are wine enthusiast, they did have a wine list that was impressive. All in all, for those that follow me, you know that it is a rarity for me to give any place I visit five stars from the first visit. Consistency is premium in my book. But as I mentioned to one of our fellow diners. This food is amazing, and the reality is each of these dishes could be served in a five-star venue layered with opulence and still the food would outshine the location. The only drawback was there was no Coke Zero... Damn it ...Turns out though that can be a pretty tough find in the city of Seattle in all the restaurants. For one that does not participate in alcohol or wine, my taste buds were not underserved and I survived without my Zero. This place is a go-to for any Italian yearning for authentic Italian food made with love. That's the only way I can describe just how good the food is. This isn't something that is prepared in volume for the masses. The chef and that team are simply serving with their hearts and it resonates with every bite. I'll be back, again and again. Oh and should you find yourself needing to go to the restroom. Ask for the Disco restroom.. that alone is worth the drive... Lol until next time Mezzanote! Thank you for a wonderful meal.
