Fantastic Italian restaurant with daily happy hour from 3:00-6:00 pm. Stayed nearby in an Airbnb and this was within walking distance. Really loved the atmosphere as well as the bottomless bread with oil dipping sauce, staff was extremely friendly and loved their authentic accents! We ordered a bottle of wine, the meet & cheese plate from the happy hour menu, the spaghetti bolognese, and the lasagna. Everything was truly delicious. I really enjoyed the bolognese it was so meaty and flavorful. The lasagna was very good as well. Would strongly recommend to anyone in the area.

We needed a nearby spot for an early dinner with a party of 6... found Brunello on Yelp and glad we did! The gentlemen serving us were friendly, knowledgeable, and authentic! Since we were early, it was still happy hour - very solid drink specials and virtually every pasta dish was half price for a smaller portion. They start you with warm bread and a delicious olive oil dip - we ate too much... Every entree was amazing, and all 6 of us raved about the flavors. I ordered the special wild boar gnocchi and slurped the whole thing down, even though I was stuffed halfway through. No room for dessert but we found a solid spot if you need one in Roosevelt!

Amazing food! Loved the flavor of everything. They do have a happy hour menu as well. The wait staff was really nice and friendly and always asking what we needed for our group of 8. They have a cozy fire in the middle too!

The Truffle fries were amazing and the lasagna had a great balance of meat and cheese a pasta layering. I would definitely go again. The service is good but some may have an accent but it makes the place feel more authentic with the ambiance being okay but everything else is great!

Brunello's is one of those fantastic neighborhood gems that you only hear about via word of mouth or sheer blind luck. In my search for the best true Italian eateries in Washington state, this place effortlessly earned a spot on the list. Tucked away in a north Seattle neighborhood, Brunello's has all of the authentic ambiance and flavor of Tuscany, right down to the waitstaff. The waitstaff is attentive, the service is excellent and dining, whether for dinner or happy hour, is encouraged (with absolutely no pressure to turn tables), This is true Italian hospitality and it is rare to find in the states. The food is absolutely delightful. My sole mission was to sample their pasta but they had duck with risotto on special and I simply could not pass it up. The morel mushroom risotto was firm and savory, exactly as it should be. The duck was tender and melted in my mouth. The Barbera wine was a solid partner to the dish. And the homemade bread...fresh out of the oven with olive oil, herbs and freshly grated Parmesan. It was everything I'd been looking for. I wrapped up my dining experience with their wild strawberry gelato and an espresso martini. The gelato was absolutely wonderful. Creamy, house made...with bits of wild strawberry poking through. Delicious! Since I never managed to try out the pasta, I now have an excuse to go back on my next trip to Seattle. Brunello's is now a solid fixture on my radar.

I really wanted to like this small family-run restaurant in the quaint Roosevelt neighborhood, but my dinner experience was less than ideal. My mom and I arrived around 7pm and there was no wait and lots of open tables on a Monday night. We were able to choose between indoor and outdoor seating and decided to do indoor. The outdoor area looked nice but is on the main Roosevelt Way NE road, where lots of traffic pass by. For the two of us, we ordered the clam and mussel appetizer ($22) and a pasta. We wanted to order the clam pasta ($29) but was upsold by the waitress for the seafood special pasta ($45) without her telling us the price. After we ordered, complimentary bread was brought out. However, they gave us 2 pieces from each end of the loaf, and one mismatched piece from the center of the loaf. One end, I understand. But two ends? With an obvious discontinuation with the insertion of one middle piece? Just disrespectful. It wasn't toasted and was cold when it arrived. The food was all okay and were pretty big portions. Even though one was an appetizer, it was more than enough for the two of us, since we don't usually eat a lot of starch. The bread on the appetizer was much better than our sad end pieces from the complimentary bread. I was pretty miffed about the whole end piece bread thing the whole dinner and that probably affected my experience, but overall, I was disappointed by this restaurant.

    King salmon special

Went to Brunello for my birthday and had an amazing meal. Greeted by a very nice man and taken to a perfect table. Delicious bread and olive oil set onto our table and water. We were advised we were there during Happy Hour so could order off the HH menu if we wanted to. We ordered the king salmon special and the ravioli dish. I asked to have linguine instead of ravioli which was granted and it was SO delicious and exactly what I wanted for my birthday meal. You would think you were in an Italy! Can't wait to take my girls there for a fun Italian meal!

The customer service was perfect. Food was so delicious. The space was cozy with perfect Italian music. My family and I had an excellent experience, really recommended.

We had the best experience, so I could not give anything less than 5 stars. Inside is bigger than it looks, but yet quaint all the same. It feels like a posh environment, but still comfortable and romantic. We were next to the fireplace, and the best tunes were playing through Sinatra, Ella Fitgerald, Nina Simone, etc. Our service was warm, friendly, and perfect. All of our food was prepared well and delicious. We had chianti and a Manhattan, which was made perfectly, mista salad, fettucine salmon, chicken parmigiana, lemon cake, coffee, and house made limoncello. Not even one little critique at all.

If you follow me, you know, I don't give very many five stars. It is a very rare rating. Brunello is an absolute must-try Italian spot. Truly one of those places you leave already plotting your return. We went for a group dinner, and the service was chef's kiss phenomenal. The ambience is a very good chill place. Let's talk happy hour, because this might be the best one I've had in all of Seattle. Who else is out here offering multiple pastas and appetizers on a happy hour menu? It feels borderline illegal, in the best way. We ordered a lineup of starters, and honestly, you can't go wrong. The meatballs, the olives al forno, and the caprese were all standouts and absolutely worth ordering. For entrées, we sampled the ravioli aurora, spaghetti carbonara, penne pasta, and the chicken piccata, and every single dish delivered. The flavors were rich, balanced, and completely memorable. For dessert, we sampled everything from the cheesecake to the tiramisu to the limoncello cake, and every single one was ridiculously delicious. I tried a homemade orangecello for the first time and move over limoncello. I've found my new citrus king.

Warm and cozy ambience! Very welcoming and friendly service. The food is amazing and good portion too. We'll come back for sure!

    Maggi S.

Went with a group of out of town friends and we had a lovely time. Our server - the manager maybe? - was great. He was friendly and happy, and he kept us very well tended too. The food was wonderful. I had the veal special and it was delicious. But the tiramisu. My god the tiramisu. We all went nuts for it. We spent the rest of our time together fondly remembering the tiramisu. Definitely don't skip on the tiramisu.

Went here for a Valentine's Day date, it way busier than I expected. The overall atmosphere was pretty cozy, just felt like a neighborhood family owned restaurant. We had the meatballs as the appetizer, it tasted like homemade and we'd love to order again. There was a short gap between appetizers and our pastas. Might due to the customer load, but the wait time was acceptable. The pastas were really delicious, especially the sauce. Overall, really good experience. Btw, their homemade bread with Parmesan cheese was a plus. Highly recommended!

We were seated at this awkward table by the wall circuit breaker (shrug I dunno wth). The bolognese was good and I got the lobster risotto which was okay. The lobster meat was generous but the risotto was just alright. A bit bland and had huge chunks of tomato in it which was hard to eat. The food was overpriced and quality was average but not exceptional. I've been to other similar restaurants that have more affordable prices and better quality food. I really wanted to like this place, especially since it's in Pioneer Square but no go for me. This was a disappointing first time experience and definitely won't be coming back.

I didnt love the curb-appeal of this place from the street view, but once you walk in, it feels very cozy and warm, and i could even imagine some italian Nonnas rolling out pasta in the back. We started with drinks - the typical negroni for me and the girlfriend went with their Mauro option, which I believe is named after the original owner. My negroni was exactly what I was hoping for, but I honestly think the Mauro was better! Slight drink envy - no notes! Went we go to Itailan spots like this, we love getting an app or two, then splitting a pasta and pizza. We had to try their caprese salad as it is one of our favorites. They kept it simple which is always ideal with caprese - wide cut tomatos, single basil leaf on each, a touch of balsalmic/EVOO, and a thicccck slice of their buffalo mozzarella. The only issue i had was not enough balsamic - I love a heavy acid to cut through the EVOO and buffalo mozzarella. Their balsamic seemed to be reduced which is nice, but not enough 'bite' in my option. For mains, we split their Salsiccia Pizza and the Pappardelle. The pizza was great with one caveat - their marinara and sausage were super simple and super flavorful. My only issue was with the CRUST - not good at all, super soggy and did not hold up against gravity. For the Pappardelle, after mispronoucning this dish, i basically inhaled it. Wild boar for the protein and the pasta was clearly made in house. The kapers and kalamata olives really made this dish - brought out some brine-y brightness that balanced out the tomato based sauce perfectly. Our server was the epitomy of perfect - unobtrusive yet very aware when we needed something. I dont recall her name, but her photo is in other posts below! Cant wait to go back :) Side note, Mauro has a few cookbooks, which I believe has some receipes the restaurante uses - super cool!

The vibe was lively and the atmosphere felt warm. Despite how busy it was, service was impressively quick and attentive. Now for the food, every dish we ordered was exceptional. We started with the Supplì al Telefono, a classic Roman street food made of fried risotto and mozzarella. The appetizer arrived piping hot, crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, with perfectly melted cheese stretching with every bite. We loved them so much that we ordered a second round after our main course (possibly overeating, but absolutely worth it). For pizza, we went with the Funghi, which was incredibly flavorful. The combination of pecorino and fontina cheeses paired perfectly with the fresh mushrooms and arugula which I replaced in place of sausage. Also added Chili oil to the pizza to give it an extra kick! You can't leave an Italian restaurant without dessert, so we finished with the tiramisu. I usually prefer mine on the less-sweet side, and this one absolutely delivered. The balance of mascarpone and coffee was spot-on. It was also beautifully presented in an aesthetic cup, making it just as enjoyable to look at as it was to eat. All in all, Bar Del Corso has easily earned a spot on my list of favorite wood-fired pizza places in the Seattle area. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back.

The crepe was light and airy and paired perfectly with the salty prosciutto and parm. Perfect starter. Honestly, all the pastas we ordered were absolute fire. Of the three, I liked the Tajarin Al ragù ($20/$34) the most. It's a fine hand-cut egg yolk pasta with pork and beef ragù. The pasta is so finely cut; it's delicate. What I liked best was the way the ragù sauce enveloped itself into the folds of the pasta. Each bite was cohesive and really intentional. The risotto was also quite good as well - that night, it was the risotto ai gamberi ($21/$35) which highlight spot prawns. The spot prawns were sweet and the Calabrian chili was a really nice complement to the sweet and creamy. Delish. I'm sure the risotto is great in any season. I must say - the best thing about the menu is the fact that you can order a smaller portion of any of the pasta dishes as to not have to fully commit to one. This is a superb way to eat. I was quite taken by the restaurant. It even hosts a wonderful view of downtown Seattle and a peak of the Puget Sound. The restaurant is small and intimate. This Italian-style restaurant served one of the best meals I had at the time. So when the opportunity to return came, I wanted to run there from my home. We were immediately shown to our table, and drinks arrived with little effort. One thing to watch for is that they offer sparkling water or tap water. It is easy to think of it as an option, but the sparkling water is a few bucks by the bottle. With four people, it is easy to go through a few bottles quickly - this is my weakness since I have replaced soda with sparkling water. We began with cheesy flat bread and baked goat cheese. The cheesy flatbread was amazing and delicious, and the baked goat cheese was out of this world. I can honestly say that I did not know what to expect, but the baked goat cheese with Taro chips was delightful. What is a trip to an Italian restaurant without a Caesar salad? I added grilled shrimp that were just wonderful as well. This Caesar had a creamy dressing, croutons, and shredded parmesan. The dressing was not overwhelming, but the croutons were a bit hard and difficult to chew. I would give it a B-. I had the PENNE SPECIALI ( mesquite-grilled chicken, spinach, tomato, mushrooms, white wine butter sauce). The description of this dish was better than the flavor. Salt is a flavor enhancer, but when you add it to the dish after it's been cooked, it's like lukewarm coffee - it's okay, but you would have preferred it hot. For dessert, I had the caramel, chocolate custard with chocolate sticks. This was heavenly, and I would eat 100 more. This is a dessert worth the wait, and I do not advise you to share because you will get less. It was the perfect finish. One secret restaurateurs must know is that ambiance, setting, and conversation enhance the food experience, but if the food does not complement the other parts of the experience, something is lost. This place has everything: the view, service, and dining intimacy. Why leave the main dish out of the experience? The presentation alone sets the tone, ornate plates, warm wood tables, and candlelight that makes everything feel a little more intentional. It was velvety, beautifully balanced, and finished with a swirl of bright green oil that added just enough herbaceous lift. It looked like something out of a cookbook and tasted even better. I was sad to take the last bite. It stole the show for me! The pasta dishes were a delight. One came coated in a bolognese sauce with a snowfall of cheese, I did not complain! The other studded with pancetta and peppedZ Comforting without being heavy. Just perfect. Altogether, the meal felt warm, intentional, and deeply satisfying. It was the kind of dinner that makes you want to linger at the table a little longer. Plus the service was exceptional and I really liked the idea of adding a 23% gratuity to the bill. It was well deserved!
