I'll Terrazzo Carmine is a beautiful restaurant with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The lunch menu offered great options and everything we ordered was cooked deliciously-from steak salad, chicken salad to Caesar salad and seafood pasta. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside was that parking wasn't the easiest but overall it was a wonderful dining experience. Bon appetite!

5 stars all around! Parking is easy--there's a garage and valet service. The service itself is outstanding: attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pushy (which is the perfect balance). We had dinner here last night (I've been before, but some in our group hadn't). We started with Caesar salads and cocktails, all of which were excellent. There were six of us and everyone ordered a different entrée--every single dish was outstanding. To finish, we shared three desserts and coffee, and everything was just as impressive. Dining out has become so expensive that we've really dialed it back, but a place like this is 100% worth every single dollar. Restaurants that truly hit every mark like this are rare. I would highly, highly recommend.

Incredible experience all the way around. In my quest for the best Italian restaurants in Seattle I made a reservation here a couple of weeks ago. Parking was directly adjacent in a parking garage and they do validate for four hours. The restaurant was warm and inviting with an intimate atmosphere. White table cloths adorn each table, and the smell wafting through the restaurant from the kitchen was heavenly. We had the Fettuccine Al Pesto Con Gamber and Penne Salmon. Each dish was perfectly cooked. The salmon was moist with a hint of pink, and the pasta was perfect. The shrimp were not overcooked, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and the pasta was incredible. We saved just enough room for dessert and split a crème brûlée. Perfectly done with a beautiful crust and adorned with mint and fruits. Our server, Mike, was fantastic. He appeared when we needed him and made some great suggestions. Great experience and definitely worth trying

I love their menus and beautiful plates

From the moment we walked in and were greeted we fell in love with this place. I made a reservation a month ago. It's hard to get into. It's very expensive, so save your money and save this place for a special occasion, or try for a spontaneous table in the bar. I had the rigatoni... I thought it was going to be super heavy with the meat, but it was not. It was the perfect choice. It was a flavor bomb. The red sauce was done exceptionally well. The pasta was cooked perfectly. I loved the rigatoni noodle because the pasta could stick to it. They definitely know what they're doing here. This must've been some great grandmother's fabulous recipe that we were eating. SO SO GOOD! I wish I could cook pasta like this at home. I'm pretty good at pasta, but I'm not this good. My husband got the angel hair pasta with clams and mussels... And the angel hair was absolutely incredible... I'm wondering how they make this pasta so teeny tiny. It was also done perfectly. My angel hair would clump... These people are pros. Patricia, our waitress was fantastic. She put up with 1000 questions and helped us make our decisions and everything was perfection. Her Service was superb. She didn't come to the table too fast nor did she come too slow. She let us have our own conversations and didn't try to be a part of our party. I love that... It's old-school service. She had impeccable timing for absolutely everything. She suggested an Italian wine, because we didn't want something too expensive. The bottle of wine she suggested was $45. I thought it was outstanding. I could taste the old vines and we loved it. We sat outside... And she turned on the heater for us, which was really nice. She told us if we got too cold, she would give us a blanket... We didn't need one. She was delightful! They're lucky to have her. I love this place... It's my new favorite place in town, although they have been here forever. I wanted to try their restaurant in Bellevue, but I've been trying to make a reservation for the last five years and I can never get in. This place has ambience. I will come to this restaurant over and over again, until I can try everything on the menu. One tiny thing, I wish their salad had veggies on it ... I love Tutta Bella's mista salad - and thought this one would be like that, but there were no cannelloni beans, red onions, or carrots. It was still delicious... I love the light vinaigrette.. Overall, this is a five star restaurant for sure. Anybody who had a negative review about this place, needs to get a grip on life. It was absolutely outstanding. I also want to give kudos to the gentleman (with a golden smile) who bussed our table - he helped our waitress - he had a great smile and a very happy quality about himself. I liked that. I could tell the customers have been coming here for years... Everybody look like a regular! The place is a little bit hidden, but I think that adds charm. Thank you for a wonderful evening... We will be back!

Prosciutto with melon. Was really good, used to be being with cantaloupe but this was good

We had a hard time finding the entrance, walked around a couple times before finally looking at some reviews to see if anyone left a clue how to in the place Once inside, it was very elegant, dark wood and white table cloths We were seated right away at a table with a nice view of the whole restaurant up on a little landing. As we normally do when trying a place for the first time we ordered a little across the menu. For drinks my wife got the Friendly Reminder while I just had a white wine. For our appetizer I had the prosciutto and melon and a Caesar salad while the wife had the burratta. Prosciutto and melon was traditional and very good. Came with honey dew instead of cantaloupe but was really fresh and really refreshing Caesar salad was also good, very crisp lettuce and a nice dressing Burratta was good, fresh and tasty For our meals I had the lobster pappardelle and my wife had the halibut. Always judge an Italian place by the meatballs and how they cook pasta and this place did the pasta correctly. I loved it and ate it all and wished I had more The halibut was a little overcooked, so it was dry in places. The fish was a huge portion so my wife ate a lot of it and left the drier parts For dessert I ordered key lime pie, odd to order it on an Italian restaurant but it's one of my favorites and I rarely pass up a chance to get it. Washed it all down with coffee. Enjoyed the meal and the experience

We were craving Italian food, and found this spot! I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was made of ground veal, pork, and beef with tomatoes, herbs, and red wine. It had a rich, savory, and hearty flavor! And another surprise was the dessert, the waiter brought out a full tray of desserts and introduced each one to us. We couldn't resist and ended up choosing the Tiramisu and the Crème Brûlée! Both were amazing and top-notch! *Recommended to make a reservation on OpenTable, and they provide 4-hour complimentary valet parking with validation.

We sat outside on a cool night and the fire pit made the space feel cozy and comfortable. The décor is beautiful, and I really loved the outdoor setup. Random detail, but I noticed how big the tables were compared to most restaurants, which made the experience feel more spacious and relaxed. We started with the La Caprese, which was so fresh. The basil tasted like it had just been cut, the tomatoes were sweet and perfectly in season, and the smoked buffalo mozzarella felt like the perfect marriage between burrata and mozzarella. As expected, most of the pastas were made with eggs, but the kitchen was able to sub some dishes with an egg-free linguine. I ordered the Spaghettini Ortolano with linguine, and it was fantastic. There's no sauce, just goat cheese melting into the pasta to create this creamy, flavorful dish that I would happily order again. For dessert, I went with the mango sorbet. It started off good, but after a few bites, the flavor leaned a little toward freezer burn, which was a bit disappointing. Service was great throughout, and while it wasn't too busy outside, it's clearly a popular spot.

Elegant Italian dining experience, with pleasant servers. The menu offers plenty of options without being overwhelming; the same can be said for the wine list. The prices may seem high, but portions are large. We considered the antipasti plate for a starter, but changed our mind after a glance at the vitrine. We split the salad of the day and there was still enough to take home. It was delicious - perfectly grilled salmon, marinated wheat berries, and lightly dressed greens. The bread was crunchy and warm, which is always a nice touch. The pasta dishes were delicious, and perfectly cooked. The ravioli had a delicate sauce which elevated the filling. The cannelloni were generously filled and the tomato sauce was savory and happily mopped up with a piece of bread. There are both indoor and patio dining options. A lovely venue for special occasions, or just a nice lunch to celebrate the day.

Went here for a quick stop for drinks. The service was friendly, quick, and effortless, and the ambiance was beautiful. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the food!

I had a wonderful experience here! I have been to the Bellevue Carmine's quite a bit and fell in love with the ambiance there. I'm happy to report that Seattle's Carmine's is just as wistful and charming and they capture that same magic in the air. I've now tried both their patio and main dining room and loved both! If you have never been my two favorite must haves are the duck (comes with the best cherry sauce of my life) and the pesto and prawn pasta. I also think that Carmine's has the best Hugo Spritz and Espresso Martini in town, just my opinion. Can't wait to come back. The valet is free that sparks a lot of joy. Every person who works here treats their job like a career and I feel like family rather than a customer here. Thank you!

Celebrating a friend's birthday! Enjoyed the ambiance, the service was great - our server was fun and interactive with our group, and the food was very tasty! I ordered soup of the day which was a creamy soup, and for the main dish, I ordered the peppercorn sauce steak which was delicious! I didn't care much for the sides, but the steak is a must try! I also want to mention that I parked in the garage across the alley from the restaurant (valet parking is validated by restaurant) and the valet attendant was extremely nice and polite!

Veal something. Friends order, it was great!

Like this place needs more reviews? Its great, and they have a fun drink menu. You can get lucky with street parking, but the valet in the underground parking garage is good too. Just remember to get it validated so you can leave .

To start, we've wanted to visit this place for awhile now but for some reason never pulled the trigger until this Valentine's Day. We were not disappointed. The food, service, and ambiance were simply superb. We were seated in the bar area which turned out to be great as it provided a more intimate experience for us. The main dining room was jumping as was our bar area but it still had an intimate feel as there were less diners. White table cloths were in abundance as that is not a touch you see in many eateries in the Seattle metro area these days. Our server, Diego (also the bartender) was pulling double duty serving food and drinks at the bar and surrounding tables. He pulled it off with a little help from his colleagues. We started the evening off with a couple glasses of wine (Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc) followed by the Bruschetta Trio ( Cherry Tomato, Capers,Garlic Confitura and Basil; Black Pepper, Goat Cheese, and Tapenade; and Avocado, Smoked Salmon, and Crème Fraichea), couple salads (Caesar and Campagnola), followed by the main entrees, Fettucine Al Pesto, and the fish of the day special, Seabass with Risotto and Green Pea Puree. All were excellently prepared. We ended the lovely evening with a slice of Red Velvet Cake and Tiramisu. We will definitely return as there were other items from the menu that I saw on other tables around us that I'd like to try. I apologize for not taking many photos but I was so into my date that I simply forgot to take shots of all the dishes. Next time!

    Is there a parking garage?

Yes, there is a parking garage. You can have the ticket validated by the restaurant to get free parking. However, do it right before you leave. I think there is a small window of 10 minutes given to get to your car and exit.

Is the patio covered in case of rain?

    Yes

    Is there a kids menu?

    No child’s menu

Does one really need to dress up to eat here? We're going to be attending a Mariners game and would like a good meal beforehand but plan on dressing casual. Thanks.

You don't have to, I showed up after a soggy Mariners game. Most people were a bit more dressed up than me though.

Cavatelli al guanciale; pasta with pork, garlic, and kale. A great compliment to the butter and sage pasta, the pork being so soft and flavorful. 2.) the Cavolfiore con bagna caoda; a roasted cauliflower with an anchovy sauce and lemon. Did not think that a vegetable could be the star of the show, but with that sauce, it was our favorite. Loaded with flavor, every bite was perfect 3.) Tajarin con burro e salvia; butter and sage pasta. The fine cut literally melted in your mouth, best to eat first while it's warm. It's minimally furnished with just the right amount of ambient lighting. Secondly, it's Italian, but Piedmontese Italian if that means anything to you. We started with crespelle ($29) which is an Italian crepe. The version we ordered was stuffed with prosciutto and parmigiana fonduta with arugula salad. The crepe was light and airy and paired perfectly with the salty prosciutto and parm. Perfect starter. Honestly, all the pastas we ordered were absolute fire. Of the three, I liked the Tajarin Al ragù ($20/$34) the most. It's a fine hand-cut egg yolk pasta with pork and beef ragù. The pasta is so finely cut; it's delicate. What I liked best was the way the ragù sauce enveloped itself into the folds of the pasta. Each bite was cohesive and really intentional. The risotto was also quite good as well - that night, it was the risotto ai gamberi ($21/$35) which highlight spot prawns. The spot prawns were sweet and the Calabrian chili was a really nice complement to the sweet and creamy. Delish. I'm sure the risotto is great in any season. I must say - the best thing about the menu is the fact that you can order a smaller portion of any of the pasta dishes as to not have to fully commit to one. This is a superb way to eat. Live actually. Include Spinasse on any itinerary if you can.

We were lured over to Due' Cucina after having a fantastic experience with their fresh porchetta…read moresandwiches at the Camp Yelp event earlier this month. Fatty and tender meat, dripping with juices, on top of the perfect focaccia with an ideal crunchy fried crust and airy interior, not to mention the excellent marinated eggplant, tender and filled with tangy vinegar essence. I couldn't wait to give their actual restaurants a try, and that's where we found ourselves over the rainy weekend. This particular location is open and clean with extremely friendly staff. Ordering is really easy on the 3 kiosks in the front, although the pasta chef/cashier is also happy to take orders, offer suggestions, and help with any questions. The menu displays the level of al dente to expect with each type of pasta but can be adjusted in the order notes. They also have a very convenient monitor up near the kitchen that displays order status, whether in the preparation phase or complete. I especially love how this restaurant has bar seating in front of the fresh pasta making station. We were able to watch as the chef mixed up a batch of fresh spaghetti, measuring out the semolina flour and water (at least, that's all I saw her add to the combo mixer-extruder), preparing the die, and then extruding the pasta. And yes, as with any high quality pasta, they use bronze dies for extrusion here! The pasta is dried on racks for a bit to really give that al dente bite when cooked. Suppli Al Telefono ($3.70) - An order comes with a single piece nestled in a mini fry basket. This is somewhat similar to the more commonly seen (in the US at least) arancini. It's a smaller log-shaped fried croquette, with tender rice cooked in a fragrant tomato based sauce, stuffed with tons of gooey, stretchy cheese, and then deep fried to golden perfection. The breading is fantastically crunchy, contrasting against the much softer interior. It's a great pairing of texture and flavor. (5/5) Short Ribs Ragu w/ Fusilloni ($14.90) - The chef recommended the fusilloni with the ragu. The fusilloni, essentially a larger fusilli that has longer "fins", has plenty of spirals and crevices to catch onto the sauce. The extrusion is a little inconsistent, with some pieces being longer than others and others being more spirally, a sign of manual hand cutting rather than being machine sliced. Per the menu, the fusilloni is cooked until a "2" al dente level. This is actually more al dente than most Italian restaurants, meaning the pasta has a very firm bite, yet remains slightly chewy. It's definitely cooked through and pleasant to eat, although trending towards the too al dente side. The pasta is only lightly sauced, but what sauce there is clings perfectly onto the micro rough surface of the pasta. Each bite is consistent in taste with all the rich umami and tangy notes from the red wine tomato sauce. The parmigiano reggiano adds an additional burst of savory saltiness and the short rib, rendered perfectly tender, is given in enough quantity to satisfy. Due Cucina really does serve some great pasta. (5/5) Rustic Porchetta Sandwich ($11.90) - With how great the porchetta sandwich was at Camp Yelp, this is a disappointment. The porchetta, while still flavorful with somewhat anise-like and garlicky aromas, is completely dried out and tough. It's like the pork had been pre-sliced in the morning at a central kitchen, shipped to the restaurant, then placed in a dry heat tray for service. After the meal I confirmed my suspicions with the chef - the porchetta is prepared off site and and driven over every morning. The focaccia, so airy and crisp at Camp Yelp, is also subpar in store. It's floppy, completely saturated with oil, yet feels dried out on the interior. At least the eggplant hasn't degraded in quality too much. While still having a bite (e.g. not super tender), it's grilled and marinated until tangy and savory in a vinaigrette. Interestingly they serve the sandwich on top of a bed of lettuce tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette. The oils in the sandwich drip down while eating to add even more flavor. (3/5) I know that their porchetta is high quality when fresh, but I think the way they have it set up now makes a sandwich that's still tasty, but definitely could be much better. If they choose to open a specialty sandwich shop that roasts the porchetta in house, I'd definitely be a regular. With Due' Cucina, though, I'd stick with the excellent pasta. At the end of the day, pricing is very reasonable. For less than $40 after tax/tip, we both left satisfied. What a rarity for Seattle nowadays. And as a bonus, apparently they refresh the menu often. According to the chef, starting on Monday, Due Cucina will be introducing new pasta shapes, sauces, and different sandwiches. I'll be back for more pasta in the near future! FOOD POISONING ALERT…read more I'm 8 months pregnant and came here on Mother's Day with my husband and toddler, hoping for a nice family celebration. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. I ordered the seafood linguine special, while my husband had the veal marsala. The seafood in my pasta immediately tasted off -- especially the clams and mussels, which seemed old and likely frozen for far too long. Even my toddler, who normally LOVES seafood pasta at Italian restaurants, refused to take a second bite after trying it. I enjoyed seafood pasta from many other places but could barely finish my food that day. Later that night, I developed severe abdominal pain. At 8 months pregnant, any cramping is terrifying, and I genuinely thought I might be going into labor. After hours of pain coming and going, bloating, gas, vomiting, and diarrhea the next day, it became pretty obvious the food was the cause. Ruined Mother's Day and caused unnecessary stress during pregnancy. I will never order seafood from here again.

BEST IDEA EVER. It was legitimately one of the best dinners I have ever had. There were 9 courses total, and everything the chef brought out was incredible. The service was wonderful and personal and attentive from the chef to the bartender to the wine director. So while I already would recommend this place to any serious fan of Italian cuisine, I cannot speak highly enough of the Nonnakase experience. Absolutely worth every penny. Also the bathrooms are delightful. Great vibe, don't miss out.

And then I recalled why I didn't want to come back from the first experience. First, the location is unique, and I really appreciate that this business is trying to keep Georgetown alive with cool quirky places to eat. This def fits the bill. But, I couldn't help but notice the political statement taped to the front window, super classy. I dine out to escape my day. I don't need it thrown in my face at dinner. Next, when the menus were brought to us, it was for their 3 course restaurant week special. $50 per person, and there are two choices per course. My family all chose what we wanted and then waited for the meal. Like previous reviewers, the wine is brought out in oversized shot glasses not really, but might as well be). I get that in Italy, dinner wine (peasant fare) is served in cups, not stemware, but $18 for mediocre wine, I'd like to see a more appropriate pour. Lamb Polpettine was essentially lamb meatballs on a cold and very loose polenta with what was described as salsa diavola, but it was essentially a chunky red sauce. There was nothing about this that wowed us. In fact, it was pretty bland overall and underwhelming. But the manner in which you are greeted and served at the restaurant and the remainder of service, you would think it was going to change how you felt about food. I don't even want to go into the salad. Again, underwhelming. The mains came out and although tasty, the portions were very small compared to the price we paid. And if you opt for the truffle, it's finely grated and it covers the entire plate. Also, it's an extra $12......for less than $2 worth of black truffle. It absolutely ruined the dish. An educated server would be able to caution against it, if, of course it wasn't intended to raise the final price, essentially raising the tip. If you order risotto there, be fair warned, it is extremely loosed and not very well made imo. Bland, lacks imagination, and the rice grains were cracked and soggy on the ends and crunchy in the middle.. Last was the dessert. Again, it was tasty, but it comes in these tiny jars that equal about 2-3 spoonfuls of either panna cotta, or tiramisu. At the end of our meal, the bill was over $250. For that price, I could have eaten somewhere where I could have left a little more satisfied and felt like I was actually in an upscale restaurant, not a political statement masquerading as fine dining. Having worked food for a long time, I felt obligated to leave the customary 20% gratuity knowing full well the workers there made their "living wage" before the gratuity kicks in. It included an additional 2% to pay for employee health insurance. Isn't that an employer cost? Why put that on the check? Anyway, out the door for $300 and vowing never to come back. Buyer beware.

During HH, they offer 50% off bar menu items, which is a spectacularly good deal. My partner and I ordered the carbonara and the ragu, and both were very good but the carbonara was amazing (flavorful, creamy, not too salty or cheesy, decadent without feeling too deadly). The tiramisu is a very good dessert with a nice strong espresso flavor and not too much sweetness. Our waitress kindly checked in right before 7pm to make sure we had any additional orders in before happy hour ended, which is a mark of excellent service. The bathroom is clean and brightly lit. I'd be happy to come back!

They close…read moreat 11, & I called an around 10pm and was very respectful about it ...I literally said, "I know it's late, please let me know if your kitchen is closed. I can just do takeout." I tried to order the fettuccine de mare, listed at $29 (no extra fees on Toast), but they told me it would be $43. That already didn't make sense. Then the server says, "We actually have 50% off happy hour until 11, come in and dine." So I came in. Ordered a drink, escargot, and a steak medium rare. The escargot came out fine. Then... nothing. 39 minutes later (at 10:45pm), the server asks if I'm waiting on anything else. Yes... my steak. She goes to check, disappears, and then comes back with something that honestly felt DISTESPECTFUL. The steak looked like scraps. Uneven, mismatched chunks, all different sizes, with burnt, crispy edges and covered in sauce like they were trying to hide it. It didn't look like a single cut of meat it looked like pieces from multiple steaks thrown together. The plating was sloppy, and the side looked like an afterthought. I didn't take a bite. I looked through it and said, "This looks like pieces from different steaks." She told me she watched them cut it... then immediately followed that by saying she saw them put it under a heat lamp to reheat. So which is it? I work in the food industry. I'm not going to be gaslit over a plate like that. She offered to refire it, but at that point it was almost 11 and they were closing. I paid for my drink and left. Honestly, I wouldn't have been upset if they had just told me the kitchen was closing when I called. But don't invite me in, forget my order, and then serve something like this and try to pass it off like it's normal. Just be honest.

My boyfriend and I decided to come here for a last minute date on a Sunday and were surprised that we were easily able to make reservations for 7pm. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived which was so surprising because it had such a cute aesthetic and the food was absolutely delicious. We were both super hungry so we skipped appetisers and went straight for the pasta and it didn't disappoint. The Tonnarelli was what both of us were eyeing and it delivered in every way, from the freshness of the tomato to the perfect consistency of the sauce. We also decided to be adventurous and try the Ricotta Gnocchi despite the fact that both of us are not huge fans of ricotta, me especially. I loved the base of the paste and the flavours were great, I think I just got bored of the dense texture of the ricotta after the first few bites. Our server was super friendly and recommended me an incredible white wine to go with dinner that really cut the acidity of the pasta. The sauces being to tangy and acidic was my boyfriend's only complaint about the food, but he was the one driving. I really loved the pasta here and can't wait to come back and try more of the dishes on the menu!

What went well: - service…read more- ambiance Not so well: - food at price point In short, my friends and I enjoyed ourselves for dinner last night, but I struggled to wrap my head around the price points... $47 for halibut and "greens". The halibut size was smaller than average, and the greens consisting of two small artichoke halves and a single branch of collards. Similarly, we paid $23 for a seared tombo and were given four thin slices of meat. I feel slightly robbed paying about $80 and leaving quite hungry. The food was good, but by no means would I argue this is worth going out of your way for.
