Stopped by on Friday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. It's a small restaurant with only a few tables, but a really cute set up. The menu is pretty small but they have a good selection. I had the manchego pasta and it was good! 4/5, but pretty heavy so I didn't finish it even though it was a pretty small bowl. The olives were great and I don't normally like olives! They offered bread and oil for us to start, one piece each, but offered to bring more once it was empty. The waitress did some seem like she wanted to be there but did a fine job with the service. I would come back to try the cheese appetizers but I wasn't overly impressed. It was a solid meal but nothing really stood out to me!

Once again, a bit late, but revisited Cheese Room in April for Spring Restaurant Week and the food was just as good as I remember. This time we swung by right at 5PM and were seated immediately, but there was a line out the door by the time we left. Parking isn't the most fun in the area, but it's worth the hassle trust. Burrata was just as delicious, though the tomatoes were a lot more marinated / acidic than I remember. A bit much to eat straight, but with the complimentary focaccia, it was a home run! Campanelle and Malfadine were once again the perfect texture and just coated in luxurious, perfectly seasoned sauces. The mushroom just edged out the lamb for me this time, but both are must try's. Pistachio Ice Cream was super luxurious and I normally hate uncooked olive oil over my sweets and drinks, but it just really added to the smooth mouthfeel without the almost bitter kick I was expecting. Tons of crunchy pistachio throughout to break up the texture; just a nice satisfying end to the meal.

All of the dishes were really well made, that was the best grilled cheese I've ever had. The tomato soup reminded me of Trader Joe's creamy tomato soup but it was very good and the bread was perfectly toasted yet not too hard that it hurts to chew/bite. It is the Cheese room so the pasta was very rich and creamy. I found out through the menu and googling after that it's Korean owned and you can feel it in certain dishes! I loved all the scallions in the Menchago pasta. I also like how the menu has a smaller plates section because even though they're "smaller" I think their portion is still very filling! Service is so kind and attentive, and the food came at a reasonable rate, but the food didn't feel overdone or rushed at all. The tiramisu dessert was interesting, I'm used to the lady fingers/bottom being soft but this one was crunchy, hard, and the cream was pretty thick. If wasn't my favorite to be honest but everything else was delightful. This restaurant is so cozy and I can definitely understand the hype, especially once it becomes night time and they have candles by every table for ambiance. Our table was a little wobbly by the corner with a wall and window. Although the space is on the smaller side I think they utilize it well, there's plenty of seating, even with larger groups, and is pretty cozy.

No parking nearby, street or garage parking are available though. The overall vibe of this restaurant is nice, romantic, and is in a convenient area if you're looking to walk around cap hill. Our favorites were the burrata (as many folks recommended), the Campanella and lasagna, big fan of lasagna. Our bartender was great and friendly, everything came out quickly and was delicious. For our half it was 110 with 2 drinks 2 dishes and the burrata side.

Pasta is very good texture I like ts to have some real BITE and they deliver on that. Free bread goated, clearly very nice quality ingredients from cheese to the fresh tomatoes you can't go wrong with their menu

Come for decadent pasta dishes, and with an empty stomach! The ambiance is so cute in here! Came with a friend but it would be a cozy date spot too. The waitstaff was really nice and it was a great dining experience. I just wish I had come more hungry! After a day of eating across Seattle I wasn't hungry enough to fully devour the meal. The burrata was really unique, I have never seen burrata with pesto and marinated balsamic tomatoes before, and it was a very rich flavor profile. It was delicious and fun to make flavor combo bites with the bread it was served with. I got the vodka pasta, and it was a bit underwhelming. With thick bits of tomato it really tasted more like a more typical red sauce, and the torn mozzarella on top felt like an after thought flavor/texture wise. So, it was not my favorite. But I liked everything else about the meal, so I will definitely go back and try another dish next time I am in Seattle!

This restaurant was a wonderful surprise. I found it on Yelp and began to do my due diligence. Checked out the reviews on both Yelp and Google and ultimately decided that this is how I want to spend my evening with my hubby. Food was freaking amazing. From the complementary bread and olive oil to the tomato bisque and grilled cheese sandwich, then the amazing brussels sprouts salad (not pictured) and then finally the parpadella with meat sauce. Everything was so delicious and it came out popping hot, which is really important to me. It was perfect for a date night, small, intimate seating with candles on the table including these wonderful cute old-fashioned saucers that they give you an along with your small glass of water. Service was also top tier. My husband and I arrived during a busy time and it looked like it was gonna be a 20 to 30 minute wait but the hostess asked if we were mind waiting for her to check.. We're glad she did cause there was a table just waiting for us. The waitperson was attentive and ready to answer our questions. It was very nice. We will definitely go again. The only downside to this restaurant is the parking this restaurant is located on Pine Ave., Pine Street and the parking street parking is horrible. We drove around I think three times before we just made the decision to pay for parking.

Came here a second time now hoping it would be better than before. But it's the same the pastas are kinda bland and really heavy. But if you like heavy cheesey pasta I guess it's for you. The only thing my party liked was the burrata cheese and I'll only come back for that tbh. It paired well with the free bread they give you. The service was okay..we had to wait for a longggg time to get water and no one was checking up on us and the guy didn't seem happy to be there lol.

Quality/Quantity - Focaccia Bread - This was so good that we asked for an extra order. Cheese Platter - 3 cheeses; parmesan (not sure why my daughter ordered this...?), gouda, and manchego. Burrata Cheese - This, in my opinion, was the hit of the meal!! I highly recommend getting this. The tomatoes were also so ripe, sweet, juicy, etc! Lobster Ravioli - Our guest finished her dish. Rigatoni Vodka Sauce - My daughter's dish and she did not like it, so my wife switched with her. Campanelle Truffle Sauce - My wife's choice, but daughter ended up eating most if not all of it. So good. Parpadelle Ragu Bianco - My dish, this could and should have been cooked another minute. Slightly raw. Ambiance - Very small location. Only one table for a party of 6. Service - Good. Price - $132 + tip; includes a 3% credit card charge. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success.

Great experience here! The burrata is delicious and I love the pesto and amount of tomatoes on it. Highly recommend the grilled cheese, it is rich and well balanced with the tomato soup. The pasta is good too, but the menu items with burrata and cheese really shine.

One thing that a lot of restaurants don't do well is truffle oil. This is not one of those restaurants! I usually avoid truffle dishes but fell in love with their truffle pasta. I've yet to find love for prosciutto, but I'm sure I'm in the minority. Only complaint that I had was that the penne in marinara came out nearly boiling and it took about 10 minutes to be edible. Service was mostly attentive, and the bartender was very knowledgeable. Would recommend for takeout or occasional date nights.

Dare I say one of the BEST Italian restaurants I've been to?! I stumbled upon this gem last year with my boyfriend and have been craving it ever since. I'm from LA so I come up to visit my bf and aside my bf... this is what I'm looking forward to most! The free focaccia bread with olive oil is such a hit and the fact that it's refillable is insane. Warm and fluffy... and BITE SIZE (I have a small mouth so convenient for me heh) The Burrata Cheese and the Grana Padano (Truffle) Pasta was the best. Every other restaurant me and my boyfriend have had with Burrata does not compare, PLUS other restaurants overcharge like crazy. I'm not too sure if the prices here are super cheap either, but the quality and taste make every cent count. I'm not an expert so I can't really give the best details or a professional stance, but that burrata was so fresh and flavorful. The pasta was cooked perfectly, a little firm and chewy, mmmm how they cook the pasta really does something. The flavor wasn't overpowering at all and the prosciutto was a great complement to the dish. Ate here on Sunday, so sad they're closed Monday and Tuesday, I'd literally eat Cheese Room for a couple days straight. Anyway, this is a genuine review and after seeing other reviews that made me huff and puff a little, I thought I'd like to say my take on one of my favorite eats in Seattle (:

    Gnocchi and malfadine

TLDR: Went for Seattle restaurant week menu. 3 course for $35. Speedy service because we went in the middle of the week right at open. My roommate and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a year now. It's a great date spot with intimate tables and bar seating. However, also some wall lined seats that would be great for solo dinners. The appetizers were my favorite part. Burrata is served with pesto and balsamic marinated tomatoes. Every bite was full of flavor. Although , I wish there was less pesto and more of the cheese. Needed more focaccia bread to finish it off. Salad had three types of olives BUT the salad was not overwhelmed with olive juice flavor. Gave the salad more depth. The entrees were supposed to have a chili sauce but we couldn't taste it (no spice or oil flavor at all). The gnocchi was a melt in your mouth bite but the sauce was soupy and plain. The basque cheesecake was more dense than other basques I've had, and I liked the caramelized taste on the crust. Tiramisu was not my favorite. It's "made to order" so the lady fingers are still crispy and the rum and coffee sauce is strong and quite bitter. Unsure if I'd go back for the full price menu.

The waiter was on top of everything but also provided excellent recommendations. And then there's the food... We had many different menu items and all were spectacular. Some highlights were the peas, the fresh tomatoes, and the asparagus. The pastas have been on the menu for 18 years and for good reason! The eggs yolk pasta was my favorite - rich but amazing. The other two following it on the menu were lights out as well. I felt the pork was a standout then I had the salmon and couldn't decide which was better. It didn't matter and a good problem to have! Although I only had the paklova I can say everyone loved their desserts. The paklova was absolutely lovely!

Alternating it with the Butter/sage pasta was really nice. It was a tad too sweet near the end when we ran out of butter sage to alternate with. I don't think I would be able to eat this on its own, would get flavor fatigue. - Maiale brasato al latte - Zucchini estive con salsa agliata - Pomodori - hierloom tomatoes were huge and so yummy. Would recommend getting a reservation. Parking garage next door that wasn't too expensive.

Not only to experience the food, but the DREAMY outdoor space I had seen all over social media. Service was excellent from start to finish. We managed to get an outdoor seat (yay!) and the vibes were immaculate from the start. It definitely gives off more romantic/date night vibes, but it was also fun to experience with some ladies from my team. Perfect for a girl's night! Obsessed with the string lights, the fountain, and the overall atmosphere. You somehow don't even realize you're in the middle of Seattle when you're here. The menu has so many options which made it so hard to choose, but I ended up going with the Fettucini ai Fungh - fresh fettuccini pasta with wild mushrooms served in a light cream sauce topped with truffle oil, and I also added chicken. When I say this is probably my FAVORITE pasta I've had in Seattle, I'm not kidding... I almost cleared my plate which is hard for me as my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but I made it happen! The cream sauce was rich but not too heavy, and the truffle oil was prominent without being crazy overpowering. 10/10 absolutely no notes. Hands down would have trouble ordering something else when I visit again. Without a doubt, I will be returning in the future for a date night!
