There are many cozy intimate dining options in Seattle and La Fontana Siciliana looked like a great place to check out from looking at the photos. We went on a Sunday around 6PM for a reservation and had no wait time. Ambiance-wise, I love the place! It is very cozy and the candle light is a fantastic touch to make the restaurant setting more intimate and inviting. It certainly was great when we went since it was a pretty cold day in Seattle. The decor and how the dining area was set up is very pleasant, and there even is a romantic outdoor dining area that would be fabulous during warmer months. We went on a not so busy hour as there were only 3 other tables dining in when we went inside, so service was fast and we got our food in like 10-15 minutes of waiting. We ordered a couple of dishes, which I'll review down below: Bread + Balsamic ($5): The balsamic tastes great! Excellent acidity and the olive oil gives the vinegar more body and fullness when eaten with the bread, which easily soaks up this tart and slightly fruity aftertasting vinegar. I think the only gripe that I have with this dish is that everything would have been 2x more tasty if the bread came out lightly toasted with a subtle crunch around the crust. Just a personal preference on elevating the textures. Fettuccine ai Funghi ($27): This is a very decadent dish - the cream sauce is heavy and definitely hugs you and gets you really full the more you eat it. The pasta is hearty and thick and gives a nice chew, and gets softer as you eat it. The mushrooms give a meaty texture and this feels like a very indulgent dish that will definitely leave you feeling very full afterwards. Vitello Marsala ($35): The veal is tender and has a decent chewy texture. With how the meat is cut, is really does soak in the marsala sauce very well and showcases the sauce's flavors very nicely. I don't think I have had marsala sauce before and it was very interesting to me! The sauce kind of felt like an Asian stirfry sauce in terms of flavor, which is probably due to the marsala wine which has a sugar/tamarind sort of taste that gives the sauce a complex and pleasant flavor. The noodles are chewy and the dish overall was filling and delicious. I think for a date night, La Fontana Siciliana would be a solid pick with a beautiful ambiance and reasonably priced dishes. I would definitely recommend checking out this restaurant if you are looking to enjoy some comforting Italian cooking with a cozy, warm, and inviting atmosphere.

I was told this is the most romantic restaurant in Seattle! We came here on Valentine's Day weekend for dinner and went with the Valentine's Day Menu which included two courses for $75. Drinks and desserts were extra. I chose the strawberry raspberry salad and the husband had the orange caprese for starters. He went with the server's suggestion from the main menu for his main course- we forgot the name of the dish but it was a tortellini with pistachio cream sauce with chicken. He said it was pretty good! I had the lasagna, very filling and delicious. The husband had a Negroni and I had a cocktail called Love Potion, a sparkling fruity cocktail. We also had tiramisu for dessert, and it was one of the better tiramisus I've had. We parked at a lot a few blocks away and walked to the restaurant. I must say, the romantic, Italian vibes are felt right when you step from the sidewalk into the courtyard of the restaurant. We were lucky to get a courtyard seat next to the fountain and the server was kind enough to move a heater closer to us. We enjoyed our experience at La Fontana Siciliana. The food, atmosphere, service was amazing. Would love to come back! Happy eating!

The food here is delicious, decor is beautiful and service is great! I love the portion sizes, it's definitely big enough to share. The tortellini cefalu was my favorite and the limoncello pana cotta was delicious as well. I spent my birthday here and it was an amazing night!

This place was so much fun! The food was delicious and we still talk about the tiramisu to this day. The ambiance by the fountain was lovely and the servers were gems! We went for our anniversary and they gave us a hand written card and flowers. It was such a lovely experience!

I used to be obsessed with La Fontana. I briefly stayed in seattle for 2 months in 2022 and used to be obsessed with their calamari salad and pastas. We quite literally tried almost all their pastas and they had. Now returning, I feel like the calamari salad has definitely changed especially the calamari in terms of texture and taste. It was a little bland and the calamari a little rubbery. We got the shrimp pasta and the pesto risotto but both were very bland. We had to add a lot of salt to it. Service was good and the waiter was attentive. Vibes inside were good too and the outside area is cute but it was rainy so it wasn't used.

So this place is my husband and I first date date way back when and we decided to come back for our anniversary. It is under different management, but they've kept the menu and the vibe the same. So let's talk food Burrata Salad 4/5 decent salad but nothing that made it really stand out Cannelloni di Vitello 4/5 for the me the pasta seemed on the thicker side, it was one cannelloni stuffed with veal and then smothered in tri color sauces. The sauces individually were great, the tomato was the best but would have preferred a thinner cannelloni pasta sheet Linguini di Mare 5/5 standout of the night it was a great dish, perfectly cooked and the flavors were beautifully balanced Would I come back, unfortunately no just due to their location

I recently visited La Fontana Siciliana for my anniversary dinner, and it turned out to be one of the most charming Italian dining experiences in Seattle. Ambiance The restaurant feels like a little escape to Italy. The outdoor seating is absolutely stunning -- tables arranged around a beautiful, Italy-inspired fountain that creates the perfect romantic vibe. It's peaceful, intimate, and ideal for a special occasion. They also offer a cozy indoor seating area that's warm and inviting, especially great for Seattle's rainy evenings. Service Our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and made the evening feel even more special. The staff overall had a warm, welcoming energy without being intrusive. Food The food was truly delicious. * Risotto ai Funghi - perfectly cooked, creamy, and packed with deep, earthy flavor. * Tortellini Gorgonzola - a rich and classic creamy cheese pasta; absolutely no complaints, just pure comfort. * Bruschetta - fresh, bright, and bursting with flavor. * Tiramisu - the perfect sweet ending; tasted amazing and came with a beautiful presentation. Overall, La Fontana Siciliana is a gem -- stunning ambiance, warm service, and incredible food. A must-visit in Seattle, especially for date nights or celebrations.

Came here for dinner and was greeted right away by the host who I think is the owner? We received water right away and service was top notch the whole dinner. We ordered the bread and olive oil and vinegar, the salmon special with pesto sauce, and the seafood linguini. For dessert we had pana cotta. It was all so delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the protein was also cooked well and not overcooked or dry. Definitely will be back to try the other dishes!

My group and I went here on a Saturday evening. We were given the option to be seated inside or outside and chose the outside because of the beautiful water fountain which turned out to be a mistake because it reeked like cigarettes, but anything for ambiance, right? With the parties trickling in through the night, it was obvious that this is a place people go to for date nights or special occasions. We felt a bit underdressed compared to the other patrons. We ordered the raw calamari salad and bread to share with our table of four and each ordered our individual mains. The calamari salad was surprisingly good and unique. I opted to order the linguine di mare with shrimp, scallops, and squid. The dish was fine, nothing really special to write about. I had a bite out of my partner's marsala risotto which tasted one dimensional and the risotto tasted undercooked. Definitely would not recommend their marsala risotto. We had the flourless chocolate cake and tiramisu to finish off for dessert. The chocolate cake was great, but the tiramisu was way too sweet. All in all it was a very average dining experience that I don't think warranted such an expensive bill.

    Birthday girl and her dessert

I celebrated my mom's 70 birthday and it was great. From the moment we were greeted, our server was great and provided excellent service. The food was delicious. Everything we ordered was exceptional. What made the dinner extra special, was that the restaurant took the time to hand write a birthday card for my mom and gave it to her along with a dessert. That personal touch went a long way! Thank you for making her feel welcomed and special!

We came to La Fontana Siciliana to celebrate something special and it turned out to be a wonderful evening. We started with the garlic bread, which was honestly the only letdown. It felt more like plain sourdough with garlic and butter. It was tough and not as flavorful as expected. The pastas, however, were excellent. The Tortellini Cefalu was incredible. The pistachio lemon cream sauce was unique, refreshing, and so flavorful. The Fettuccine al Pesto was just as good, with bright, nutty pesto and perfectly cooked pasta. For dessert, we had their house-made tiramisu, which was served in a decorative tray. It was light, creamy, and the perfect way to end our meal. We also got a glass of rosé prosecco each and it paired beautifully with our meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we were lucky to sit by the fountain, which made the whole evening feel extra special. The setting is beautiful and perfect for a date night or any kind of celebration. One tip: even on a weekday, the place was packed. Most people had reservations, so I'd recommend booking ahead. If nothing shows online, give them a call.

I came here for my birthday dinner with my husband and was immediately impressed at their courtyard dining area. There is something magical about dining al fresco at La Fontana Siciliana. The ambience of their private courtyard is a one of a kind experience. Diners are surrounded by greenery and the fountain acts as the focal point of the space. The tables had white linen and a candles for adding more to the overall ambience. My one recommendation to secure a courtyard table is advanced reservations. Our server immediately introduced himself and walked us through the menu and their specials. We ordered a couple of negronis for our aperitivo and a bottle of 2019 Morgante Don Antonio Nero d'Avola Sicilia. We tried their garlic bread and burrata to start. The dipping oil for the garlic bread was flavor packed. The burrata was fresh and served with mixed greens and cherry tomatoes. We ordered the pollo marsala for our main course. The chicken was tender and the marsala sauce was simply divine. The spaghetti aglio e olio was al dente and an excellent side to chicken. We capped our meal with a vanilla gelato. Our server went above and beyond and added a birthday candle to the gelato and presented me with a birthday card. I cannot rave about this restaurant enough. I would absolutely come back to this spot.

Went here for an anniversary and they made it super special! Though this was around the "-ber" months and it was cold we had already expected that the outside seating wasn't available and that was ok, the inside however felt like you were in nonna's house and you will feel at home. The food was more than amazing, the waiter was super helpful with helping us decide what should we try since we've never been there before. So if you're looking for just a date night with love ones or even with your friends, try this place out and you'll fall in love! Maybe even wait when it's much nicer outside and reserve one of the tables for outside :)

That said, the food itself was excellent, very unique and the service was genuinely wonderful. The staff were attentive, warm, and made the whole evening feel really welcoming. Nestled in the historic Belltown neighborhood, it perfectly blends classic Italian flavors with cozy rustic charm. The service throughout the night was attentive, welcoming, and never overbearing. I would definitely put this as your next date night spot. Normally I save an espresso martini for the end of the meal, but their Vanilla Bourbon Espresso Martini completely changed my plans. I'd never had bourbon in an espresso martini before, and honestly, I may never go back to vodka again. It wasn't overly sweet and had just the right amount of bourbon flavor to complement the vanilla notes without overpowering the drink. The complimentary bread was a great touch, but the real standout was the garlic, olive oil, and basil dipping sauce. It was unapologetically garlic-forward, which is exactly how bread service should be in my opinion. Somewhere an Italian grandmother nodded in approval. For mains, we ordered the classic pepperoni pizza and the Gnocchi Pepirosso. The pizza was excellent and absolutely better than any standard takeout chain pizza. Perfectly sauced, beautifully baked, and finished with just enough spice to elevate it. That said, the gnocchi completely stole the show for me. The menu leans Italian, with some outstanding pasta dishes, and mighty fine they are. Last night I had tagliolini al limoni, which I think was the best pasta I have ever eaten. The room is nice too, simply and tastefully decorated, in an early Seattle historical structure. There is a deck on the back of the dining room, which seems to be used all year long. I do recommend you sit in the dining room instead, as it is kind of loud and cool on the deck, even though it is equipped with heat lamps. Service is first rate, just what you'd expect from a high end place like Il Nido. The staff seems to be well trained and professional--maybe I'd call them perfect, something we rarely find in this town. I couldn't wait to give their actual restaurants a try, and that's where we found ourselves over the rainy weekend. This particular location is open and clean with extremely friendly staff. Ordering is really easy on the 3 kiosks in the front, although the pasta chef/cashier is also happy to take orders, offer suggestions, and help with any questions. The menu displays the level of al dente to expect with each type of pasta but can be adjusted in the order notes. They also have a very convenient monitor up near the kitchen that displays order status, whether in the preparation phase or complete. I especially love how this restaurant has bar seating in front of the fresh pasta making station. We were able to watch as the chef mixed up a batch of fresh spaghetti, measuring out the semolina flour and water (at least, that's all I saw her add to the combo mixer-extruder), preparing the die, and then extruding the pasta. And yes, as with any high quality pasta, they use bronze dies for extrusion here! The pasta is dried on racks for a bit to really give that al dente bite when cooked. Suppli Al Telefono ($3.70) - An order comes with a single piece nestled in a mini fry basket. This is somewhat similar to the more commonly seen (in the US at least) arancini. It's a smaller log-shaped fried croquette, with tender rice cooked in a fragrant tomato based sauce, stuffed with tons of gooey, stretchy cheese, and then deep fried to golden perfection. The breading is fantastically crunchy, contrasting against the much softer interior. It's a great pairing of texture and flavor. (5/5) Short Ribs Ragu w/ Fusilloni ($14.90) - The chef recommended the fusilloni with the ragu. The fusilloni, essentially a larger fusilli that has longer "fins", has plenty of spirals and crevices to catch onto the sauce. The extrusion is a little inconsistent, with some pieces being longer than others and others being more spirally, a sign of manual hand cutting rather than being machine sliced. Per the menu, the fusilloni is cooked until a "2" al dente level. This is actually more al dente than most Italian restaurants, meaning the pasta has a very firm bite, yet remains slightly chewy. It's definitely cooked through and pleasant to eat, although trending towards the too al dente side. The pasta is only lightly sauced, but what sauce there is clings perfectly onto the micro rough surface of the pasta. Each bite is consistent in taste with all the rich umami and tangy notes from the red wine tomato sauce. The parmigiano reggiano adds an additional burst of savory saltiness and the short rib, rendered perfectly tender, is given in enough quantity to satisfy. Due Cucina really does serve some great pasta. (5/5) Rustic Porchetta Sandwich ($11.90) - With how great the porchetta sandwich was at Camp Yelp, this is a disappointment. The porchetta, while still flavorful with somewhat anise-like and garlicky aromas, is completely dried out and tough. It's like the pork had been pre-sliced in the morning at a central kitchen, shipped to the restaurant, then placed in a dry heat tray for service. After the meal I confirmed my suspicions with the chef - the porchetta is prepared off site and and driven over every morning. The focaccia, so airy and crisp at Camp Yelp, is also subpar in store. It's floppy, completely saturated with oil, yet feels dried out on the interior. At least the eggplant hasn't degraded in quality too much. While still having a bite (e.g. not super tender), it's grilled and marinated until tangy and savory in a vinaigrette. Interestingly they serve the sandwich on top of a bed of lettuce tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette. The oils in the sandwich drip down while eating to add even more flavor. (3/5) I know that their porchetta is high quality when fresh, but I think the way they have it set up now makes a sandwich that's still tasty, but definitely could be much better. If they choose to open a specialty sandwich shop that roasts the porchetta in house, I'd definitely be a regular. With Due' Cucina, though, I'd stick with the excellent pasta. At the end of the day, pricing is very reasonable. For less than $40 after tax/tip, we both left satisfied. What a rarity for Seattle nowadays. And as a bonus, apparently they refresh the menu often. According to the chef, starting on Monday, Due Cucina will be introducing new pasta shapes, sauces, and different sandwiches. I'll be back for more pasta in the near future! The short rib ragu and bolognese were 2x pasta to sauce, which was surprisingly dry given they were swimming in oil. Pasta is obviously homemade and tasty. Next time we'd plan to eat in the restaurant rather than doing takeout.
