This restaurant was right around the corner as we got off the monorail and we thought why not! Didn't realize that the dinner ambiance was a bit more fancy, we were unsure with toddlers in tow. We didn't have a reservation as this was a spur-of-the-moment thing but the host was very cordial and got us seated right away. The server was excellent and thoughtful. He truly understood the need to get the toddlers tended to right away and their food came pretty quickly. He even thought to transfer their food on cool plates so as not to burn their little fingers. We had an excellent group dinner here while in town for meetings. The Forager cocktail was recommended by our server who didn't steer us wrong. It was pretty too, with fresh herb garnish. We shared some starters and the burrata was particularly good. For my entree, I was thinking about the halibut, but our server cautioned that it tended to be dry, and so I went with the lamb which was excellent. It was tender, flavorful and a generous portion. We shared so e desserts as well, and the gelato was particularly good. The panna cotta and crostini were good as well. Service was excellent. The only quirky thing is that you need a code to get into the restrooms so be sure to get that from the server before heading over there. read more

We had dinner (via Oliver's) and brunch the following day - both were delicious. I am sometimes hesitant about hotel restaurants but this one proved to be an exception and stands on its own. A Shocking "Bait and Switch" - Empty for a Reason. If I could give this place a negative 10, I would. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst and most misleading dining experiences I have ever had. Like many people, I always check a restaurant's menu online before I go, especially when meeting a group. Every menu I found for Andaluca, even those updated for 2025, promised an upscale, elevated steak and seafood experience with dishes like lamb, steak, pork chops, and paella. What we walked into was a total bait and switch. The fact that the restaurant was completely empty on a Saturday night should have been our first red flag. My husband and I did start with a $5 Oyster on the half shell each which didn't taste bad but the sauce the put on it was weird tasting. The strange experience started immediately. A two-man band was playing so loudly in the empty room that our party of seven could barely hear each other speak. When we tried to order drinks, the bizarre excuses began. They had to go to the attached Oliver's Lounge for a beer, but refused to get a Bloody Mary from there, claiming the "shaking would be too loud." I've never had a shaken Bloody Mary, but okay. I asked for an Espresso Martini I was told the Espresso machine was broken. I then asked for one of their signature vodka cocktails, only to be told there was only one option. I agreed to try it, but it arrived smelling awful. A friend identified the smell as truffle oil layered on top. I could only drink it by holding my breath. The real shock came with the menu. Instead of the impressive offerings we saw online, we were presented with a choice of only three main dishes: a pork dish, lasagna, or chicken curry. People at our table immediately started looking up other restaurants, but it was getting late, so we decided to stay. Of the three dishes ordered at our end of the table, only one was considered decent. The person who ordered the pork dish said it was good and the only thing worth getting. The chicken curry was described as having an "ok" taste, but the texture was so much like cat food that it couldn't be finished. My lasagna was an absolute disaster. It was served in a small bowl, looked like it had been pressed in a triangle sandwich maker, and was sitting in a disgusting-tasting broth. I took one single taste of the liquid it was sitting in and knew I couldn't eat it. My husband tried it and wouldn't touch it either. The most shocking part? My meal, was clearly an uneaten meal, was pushed to the side and left on the table until we left, with no one ever asking how the food was or if I wanted something else. I ended up having a Guinness for dinner. To top it all off, my husband and I have not felt well since we ate there. He came home starving and had to make a bowl of soup. This restaurant is not what it claims to be online. It's a one-time mistake kind of place, which explains why it was deserted. Others were clearly smart enough to see the menu and leave before ordering. I don't normally write reviews, but people need to be warned. Avoid this place at all costs. Is it normal practice when you see several people at a table take one to two bites of the food and push it away not to ask if there is an issue? For this reason I have to say Service was terrible. read more

Very nice hidden gem at the hotel on Olive. We came here for dinner around 5 PM and restaurant quickly got filled with the hotel guests and locals. I was pleasantly surprised with food flavors and quality. Me and my husband took 2 red sangrias, unfortunately they didn't had white sangrias. For starters we shared burrata salad and eggplant and both were very delicious. For main we shared paella and portion size was good and it was enough for both of us. Paella had a good texture and flavors were rich, however seafood was a bit dry (mussels and clams). Service was very good, chef came and talk to us as well as a restaurant manager and we shared our feedback. Overall we had a good experience here and as a downtown locals we will consider this restaurant when we want nice Mediterranean cuisine. read more

We made a reservation at Andaluca to celebrate our anniversary, having looked forward to it for weeks. We reviewed the menu ahead of time and were excited for the food. However, when we arrived, we were greeted by a sign on the door directing us to Oliver's, also located in the Mayflower Hotel, for the Andaluca menu. When we got to Oliver's and let the host know our reservation was for Andaluca, we were told to seat ourselves and were handed Oliver's menu. A member of the waitstaff told us it was "basically the same menu" -- it was not. We decided to go somewhere else and left feeling incredibly disappointed and frustrated. There was no notice online about Andaluca being closed or relocated, and what we ended up with was nothing close to what we had planned for. read more

I love this restaurant, the food is always stunning, the service is perfect without being stuffy, and it's not too noisy- you know, pleasant buzz but you don't need to shout across the table. So, always pleased- last nights meal nudged my approval a few bars higher. My partner had the lamb and it was lovely, of course. What's left of my aging mind was blown by my duck breast. I really like duck, cook it, eat it at restaurants when it's offered but I have never had anything like it- spectacular kind of covers it. The duck breast was cooked perfectly, of course, but what made this dish sing was the flavors, a bed of mushrooms, a bit of crunch, and a whole bunch of background notes- amazing and it came together to make this the best duck breast (and we all know that I am not all that easy to please) that I have ever put in my mouth. Just mopped up the last for lunch. Who ever is leading this kitchen is a bit of a genius. So bottom line, good things happen at this place. Eat here! AMAZING FOOD! The service was amazing, same with the ambiance. I got the Buttermilk Oatmeal Pancakes and the Hot Chocolate and it was very good. The Oatmeal Buttermilk Pancakes comes with a berry infused butter, cherries, a chopped up chalk bread (I forgot the name), and Maple Syrup. Opting to not travel for the holiday, finding out that many local restaurants were offering prepped Thanksgiving meals was a relief. I've heard great things about Andaluca from co-workers, and finding out they were also offering a Thanksgiving kit provided a perfect opportunity to support local. For $55 (not including tax and tip), their Thanksgiving meal consisted of: herbed turkey breast, turkey confit and gravy, whipped potatoes, roasted root vegetables and braised greens, brussel sprouts with bacon and a creamy mustard sauce, leek bread pudding (so so good), cranberry sauce, squash salad with pomegranate/goat cheese/pecans (a refreshing start to a heavy meal), and lastly a apple pumpkin cobbler. Their website was easy to navigate, and they had several options for times to pick up. The day of, there were two staff members waiting outside and after providing my name they quickly grabbed my order from the restaurant. Pickup was a breeze and took less than 2 minutes. Not only was the food still hot when I got home, but the Andaluca team also included a handwritten holiday card. That added touch and the quality of the food, will definitely have me coming back (I'm also hoping they'll do a kit for Christmas). Andaluca is quite a nice restaurant in terms of ambience. Relatively quiet, nice deco. Service is great, they are attentive and polite, and very willing to help out with anything. The food however is not up to par, especially considering the price. Their paella is decent, not bad at all. Soup of the season was alright. The butcher's cut, which was a coulotte, was subpar though. Some pieces were tender, but others were chewy - felt like it came from two entirely different animals. The accompaniments made it worse - they do not go together with the steak. So yeah. I would have usually give a place like this 2 stars - okay, not the worse, I would not go here out of my own volition, but given the price, it has to be donwgraded to just 1 star - definitely don't ever want to dine here again. If I want good steak, I'd go to the Shambles. Their 'unbranded' i.e. non-wagyu, etc. beef tasted so much better than Andaluca's advertised 'imported allll the way from Australia blah blah blah' coulotte. Of course, Andaluca does not specialize in steak per se, but still, if you are going to market something as special, better deliver, especially given the price point. This is my far the best brunch in Seattle. The food was incredible and the attentiveness by the she staff was 5 stars. You really don't get that with restaurants here anymore as everyone seems to be overworked. Nobody seemed that way here and it showed in the service that was exemplified. The only negative thing is it was really quiet as in no music. They do have an older clientele so that might be why but a little light music wouldn't hurt. read more

The seasonal omelet was delicious (caramelized corn, onions, pickled peppers, ricotta cheese, herbs). The other menu items sounded pretty good too (Turkish apricot waffle). Definitely tasted like quality ingredients were used, omelette was cooked french style (no color on the egg, fluffy). We had a wonderful family dinner at a cozy table. The service was excellent. We started with the Grilled Halloumi Cheese. It was uniquely delicious with the pesto type sauce being scrumptious. My lamb chops were delicious with sweet potatoes, yogurt and radicchio. Other sin our group enjoyed the pork chop, the chicken and the artichoke char. Make sure to make reservations. I couldn't even chew it. I literally spit out 2/3 bites on a napkin because I couldn't chew through it. Seems like a total scam. I feel like you can tell the quality of place by their bread and butter lol. Bread was okay, butter was eh. Nothing great. I'm pretty sure the salad was the spring mix from Costco. Most dishes were very flavorless with the exception of the butchers cut that I couldn't chew. Save your money. I cannot recommend. read more

Delicious egg benedict with soft and eggy brioche bread. The hollandaise dressing had a strong citrus flavor which balanced well with the ham. The brioche was delicious on its own, but got pretty soggy with the egg and dressing toppings, so would recommend pairing it with other choice of bread. read more

This place is a lovely little gem. The decor is a tad dated, but the food is absolutely solid and even that pales in comparison to the superb service. Went in for breakfast over the weekend. Was sat down by a server who was not assigned to my table, and yet he warmly greeted me and immediately served me coffee and OJ before my server was able to get to me. The coffee was excellent and was refilled numerous times throughout my service. My actual server was super attentive, put in my order quickly and made sure I had everything I needed and was enjoying my food once it arrived. That's really all you can ask for these days, and this place has got it down pat. Excellent teamwork between the servers and the bussers. Andaluca is a great restaurant downtown. Service was excellent. They have a good wine list and I ordered a nice half bottle of pinot noir. I started with the burrata salad. I love burrata and this was very good and came with green beans and mushrooms for an interesting complement. For my main course, I had paella. This came out in it own sizzling dish. This was outstanding. It was loaded with seafood and I loved the mussels and prawns the most. Then the rice with chorizo was absolutely delicious, seasoned just right. It is a very generous portion--I did not have any room for dessert. read more
