We had the absolute pleasure of having Gorgeous George's cater our baby shower for 35 people, and they did an absolutely wonderful job! The food was AMAZING! Everything was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how good the food was! They really went above and beyond by generously provided enough food for 50 people. That was such an incredibly thoughtful gesture and made our special day even more stress-free. From the quality and amount of food to their generosity, we couldn't have asked for a better catering experience. Thank you, Gorgeous George's, for helping make our baby shower so special! We will absolutely be recommending you to our friends, family, and community. We can not recommend them enough! read more

We had Gorgeous George's cater a 50 person picnic-style event. The food was great (delicious and excellent value!) and delivery was prompt. Rula and the team were very easy to work with and provided exactly what we needed for our event and also went above and beyond in several areas for us. We would definitely recommend them! (Note that the amount of food is VERY generous so we had a significant amount of leftovers. The spiced lamb with plums and baba were the crowd favorites!) read more

Upon reading reviews about being takeout only, we went last night, ordered take out and decided to take it to the beach. Best date night! The portions are generous and Rula and George were unbelievably kind. You can truly taste the love in their food! Rula provided fantastic knowledge about the food, dietary restrictions, and details about how it's made. We definitely have a new go-to spot for take out! All the food was incredible, the kafta kabab was fresh and juicy! Rula explained that all gyro comes frozen and all restaurants in the area have the same source that they get it from but they season their specially--the seasoning on it was outstanding. The rice, hummus, and Babaghanouje was delicious. The surprise stand out was the salad dressing! I would buy bottles of it to put on everything if I could! It was SO good!! read more

There is a decent amount of Mediterranean restaurants here in Seattle that I have tried, and I'm sure you can go to any of them and get a decently sized meal that tastes good, but I'm here to say that thus far, Gorgeous George's is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle so far. We went to this restaurant around 7PM on a Saturday, and at first, the restaurant didn't look open for business. But George's wife spotted us checking the restaurant hours and welcomed us in! She mentioned that they had a huge catering order today and were closed due to catering so much. At first, she mentioned that take out orders would be OK, but then evolved into allowing for us to dine in! We were so grateful to even be allowed service given how busy and exhausted they were, so they definitely when above and beyond in terms of service. As other reviewers have mentioned, Gorgeous George feels like you are dining in a family's house, very cozy and everyone is so friendly, and of course, the food was freaking amazing! We ordered a couple of things, which I'll review down below: Babaghanouje ($11): Absolutely delicious! Amazing smokey flavor and a subtle tartness from the eggplant/lemon. Pleasing texture that is a blend of creamy and slightly fibrous that leaves you wanting more. Great with pita bread and toothsome on it's own too. One of the better babahanoujes that I have tried. Gorgeous George's Platter ($35): Wow! This is quite the treat - if you are feeling hungry, definitely give this platter a go. Everything from the kababs, rice, and a small hint of toum on the inside was delicious! The chicken was tender, and even reheating it a day later, it kept it's moisture, which is really difficult to do! Rice was soft and everything was cooked perfectly. Seasoning was great, you can taste the complex marination and aromatics like parsley and onion with every piece of meat! Baklava ($8): A very solid baklava, and generous with portioning too. Flakey and cripsy crust and a generous helping of chopped nuts with a good amount of syrup soaked in throughout. One of the better baklavas I've had here in Seattle. In addition to these things we ordered, they also included a lamb kabob, two drinks, and a hummus free of charge (assuming they wanted to clean out the kitchen for the day) - which they really didn't have to do! We were so stunned by the hospitality demonstrated by George and his wife that we left a really hefty tip in order to show our gratitude. My experience here at Gorgeous George's was so amazing - everything from the stellar service, scrumptious food, and cozy ambiance makes this one of the best restaurant experiences that I have had here in Seattle thus far. I would wholeheartedly recommend Gorgeous George's as it is definitely the type of restaurant that deserves everyone's business! read more

Gorgeous George's recently hosted my birthday celebration. Such amazing food and warm hospitality made for a magical evening!

Ordered catering from Gorgeous George's for a graduation party (for about 20 people) and the spread was incredible! The food was incredibly delicious. Definitely a hit with the party and everyone kept coming back for more. George even included some extra dishes for our group, which was very kind. Service was great and the pick up was seamless. Will definitely be coming back to dine at this restaurant. 10/10 recommend! read more

We've been enjoying takeout feasts from Gorgeous George's for years now. We especially love Mediterranean food anyway, so we're glad to have such a consistently delicious option close by. The food is delicious, the portions are generous (we almost always have leftovers), and it's a bonus that we can support a family business (and the family is very friendly). I can't recommend the following dishes highly enough (our favorites): zahra, hummus, shish tawook, chicken shawarma, and the salad with mint dressing. It's all so flavorful! read more

Incredible food! The hummus will ruin you for store bought hummus. Baba ghanoush is full of fresh roasted eggplant, best falafel and grape leaves I've had in the US. Salads are full of yummy feta and great variety of olives and pickled delights. Chicken dishes have a variety of perfectly roasted veggies hiding underneath. Lovely family runs the restaurant, so friendly and warm. This is a really special place in Seattle! read more

First visit was when my wife and I headed to Taproot for a show. This is primarily a catering business, so they weren't quite "ready" to seat us. Didn't matter they made us feel like family. An older couple sat in the corner, eating with complete attention on their meals. Well, old couples don't need to say much to either right? When they finished, the woman said to us, "you're in for a treat" as she went out. Then my wife and I, who always chat through meals, sat silent, focused on eating. Well came back to GG's for takeaway on Thanksgiving. The first time was no fluke. This place is the real deal, and the owners are SO kind. If you do plan to eat inside, it's best to call and let them know. Sometimes they've got so much going on with catering, they can't accommodate diners. But do try this place, it's the best food I've had in Seattle. read more

Food was subpar and disappointing. Very pricey but if it had been tasty, no problem. Nickel and dime for everything.

George and Rula are two of the nicest, most generous folks around, and they serve delicious food to boot! I recently ordered lunch for 18 people. We had to stick to federal per diem guidelines but George and Rula prepared the most amazing feast for us, even throwing in dishes we didn't initially ask for. What we ordered: Hummus Baba ganoush Stuffed grape leaves Greek salad Lemon potatoes Roast vegetables Falafel Chicken kabob Kofta kabob Tatziki If you're familiar with federal per diem, you know this was an incredible deal. Everything was delicious, especially the falafel and baba ganoush. I really can't recommend this place enough. read more

Finally found a go-to mediterranean restaurant in the Greenwood area. Authentic food and big portions. No complaints.

The best food in Seattle. George is an amazing chief and makes the food with So much love!! Always a must stop for me when in Seattle.

I just moved to Seattle from Texas and stumbled upon Gorgeous George's Mediterranean Restaurant--and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth, respect, and hospitality by the owner and his family. It immediately felt like more than just a restaurant--it felt like a welcome home. On their recommendation, I tried the chicken shawarma, and it was nothing short of incredible--flavorful, tender, and perfectly spiced. I came back soon after for George's Combo Plate, and once again, they did not disappoint. Everything was fresh, delicious, and clearly made with love. This place is more than a meal--it's an experience. Gorgeous George's has already earned a spot in my regular rotation. If you're looking for authentic Mediterranean food and good-hearted people, this is the place. read more

Our Lebanese friend swears this place is the best for Mediterranean food in all of Seattle! AND we 100% agree. The owners are the sweetest family and really loaded up each of our to-go boxes. The place is takeout only, so be prepared to have tons of goodies to take home with you. We ordered a couple dishes for a small dinner party but honestly had enough to eat for the rest of the week. We really enjoyed all of the lamb dishes and the pita was so fluffy and fresh! The garlic sauce or Toum was delicious on everything and a must try. Definitely will continue supporting this local business!! read more

Authentic dishes and seasonings with an an incredibly friendly staff. Particularly recommend the spanakopita and baklava.

I love this spot!!! All the food but I will drive half hour for their salad alone! The dressing has so much flavor, family ran and normally the owner is there greeting everyone and always so happy. Literally have not found a better Mediterranean spot in Washington! The restaurant is very small so call ahead if you have large party. Not the best location a bit tucked away so I don't get there often but the way the food tastes, it is well worth going out of my way. Neighborhood folks around here do not want this secret spot getting out but ... I love the food and want others to get to try something blessed with so much love! 10/10 read more

Absolutely amazing flavors and huge portions. My favorites are the baba ganoush (so delectably creamy and slightly smoky) and the shish touk (grilled chicken and garlic sauce). If you don't know what to order, try the combo. The prices seem higher than normal at first glance but don't worry: the portions are big (two people can split an entree plus a side) and the food tastes much better than similar places around. Note: It's take-out only. Also the owner-operator of this restaurant is very kind! read more

Gorgeous George's Mediterranean Kitchen - Combo skewers platter was enough to fill two people up! - Middle Eastern Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Wow. That's honestly the only thing my partner and I could say back and forth as we dined on what's undoubtedly the best Mediterranean food in the neighborhood and (...don't tell my beloved Zaina) perhaps in Seattle?! Wow! We got a smorgasbord of different appetizers, because let's be honest they're the best things on the menu. The roasted cauliflower zahara and the dip was incredible. Nice and tangy and nutty sesame tahini. The stuffed grape leaves were so incredibly flavorful and again that dip. Whew! Loved the lemon that came with it and ended up putting a bit on everything. Their pita is great and thick, and boy of boy I could eat their spreads all day. The hummus is thick and rich and covered with excellent olive oil. And my favorite, the baba ganoush. Can never get enough. I make my own... And George's is amazing! Smoky, spiced and seasoned. Perfect The spinach pies were great, too. Crispy and comes with excellent olives, pickles and feta. And to top it all off...that baklava. Wow. Beautiful burnt honey, giving it a complex rich sweetness that wasn't as one-note as some can be. Pistachio! So good And I can't leave a review without mentioning how absolutely sweet their service is. Very considerate and kind. We'll definitely be back! Thank you!! read more

This review is long overdue but I can't recommend Gorgeous George's enough. The food here is incredible, so much so that my partner and I place an order just about every weekend. The portion sizes are generous for the price and you can tell everything is made with lots of care. My favorite dishes are the spinach pies, the Nazareth salad, falafel and the lamb ribs, although I could easily add to this list. The owners are also very kind and passionate about their food. They will certainly make both your ordering and eating experience enjoyable. read more

Restaurant is known for its takeout for the past few years, but also caters group functions, including gatherings of 15-20 people in its restaurant. Had the privilege of attending one of those small group gatherings last Tuesday and I have to say the food was very, very, very good ... and abundant! Everyone left with their taste buds well exercised and their hands full of carryout containers filled with leftovers. And one other thing I'd like to mention: Chef George and his wife, Rula, who helped serve our banquet, are very, very, very nice people! read more

Gorgeous george is also a generous george. I got take out on sunday for the first time and I was so happy with how delicious the food was! We ordered the lamb chop plate with the chili soup side and the falafel plate with the house salad side. My goodness, the generous portions and the flavorful food, is absolute chef's kiss, bravo. I had the falafel. It was soft and fluffy/crumbly, (guessing because its made in house?) and the green garlicky salad dressing is SO GOOD. I need to know what it is! George was kind enough to give us some extra hummus, baba ghannouj, and some pita; thank you George! I appreciate you triple GGG: gorgeous generous george. read more

The filet mignon in mushroom sauce was cooked perfectly. This steak was almost 2" thick which goes to show how incredible their cook really is. The vegetables (carrots, asparagus, zucchini) were delicious. Asparagus had a snap to it which we loved. I can't say enough good things about this spot! We are from CA and eat here everytime in the area when visiting my mother-in-law! The food is absolutely delicious. Came here yesterday for takeout with some friends and we were absolutely blown away. The service here was the best I have EVER had in seattle, the owners of this establishment are so kind and helpful. This is a hard find nowadays in this city, and I cannot emphasize enough how genuine the owners were when helping us order. As for the food, the portions were massive! We ordered some appetizers and a Greek salad and between the three of us still had so much leftover.
