Absolutely delicious. This unassuming little spot would be easy to pass by, situated just off the main drag in Ballard. A friend and I popped in for dinner. We were the only diners, but there was a steady stream of take-out orders while we ate. My friend got the chicken kebab plate, I opted for a chicken shawarma rice bowl swapping half rice for salad, and we also ordered a side of falafel and hummus. Both of our main meals were exceptionally flavored. We were offered all the available creamy toppings. The garlic cream was divine. Beware the green pepper sauce - very very spicy. Seems like a real genuine mom and pop shop. Very prompt service! Tried the Chicken Shawarma, Falafel and Lamb + Beef plate as well. My daughter and I visited Shawarma Time for an early dinner celebration! Neither one of us had been there before! It was such a wonderful place with incredible food and I was pleasantly surprised at how much room there was! Plenty of seating for everyone, wheelchair accessible, parking right out front if you're lucky enough! Ahziz was such a delight and an incredible cook! As well as the owner, Moh'd! The falafel are A) fantastic and 2: so small. The chicken tikka kebab was the next best thing and is good. The lamb & beef wrap was just OK. And bringing up the rear was the beef kebab. The pita doesn't really merit rating it by itself but I will say it worked with the falafel and kebab just fine. The falafel reheat well and were still v good the next day. I haven't tried all of those things, but I can confirm the chicken shawarma, the name that may attract you inside is good. The ordering process was alright, on my particular visit they seemed a bit overwhelmed, but they have table service which was nice. The shawarma is wrapped in Saj bread with pickles, tomatoes and roasted garlic sauce. I think they went a bit too much with the pickles and not enough garlic sauce but there was plenty of chicken and it was well wrapped. As a vegetarian typically I don't expect much from falafel wraps besides a quick bite and rely on sauces to make it more tasty. I ordered the super falafel wrap with hot sauce in it. We had stumbled upon this place as it was setting up shop, and every time they neared opening, we increasingly became more excited. This past Monday was their grand opening, and it was worth the wait. Having been privileged to eat some of the most authentic Middle Eastern food before, we were thrilled to see how thoughtful and well-prepared the food was here. Both wraps that we got were delicious. The chicken shawarma wrap was superbly seasoned, and the chicken was tender and lean. Mixed in was an aromatic toum that enhanced the flavor of the chicken. The beef + lamb shawarma wrap was equally delicious, and packed with an abundance of thinly shaved meat. The tahini sauce was delicately mixed in with just the right amount. What really took the wraps to the next level was the wrap itself. It was grilled and warmed up with the meat, and wrapped tightly. Slightly crisp, and chewy with every bite - just perfect. Fries were seasoned with the right amount of spice, with the right amount of crisp and spring with each bite. Let's also talk about value! Each combo was $15, and included a beverage as well! These days, that's unheard of. Value, attention to detail, fabulous flavors, great customer service from the Chef/Owner who genuinely CARES about the food and culture. The chicken was a bit better, but that really isn't saying much. This is the first time I've had garlic sauce that had no flavor. Neither wrap had tahini or yogurt sauce. It was sad. Listen, Seattle is notorious for having bad pizza and worse middle eastern food. The options are scarce and the bar is set really low.
