I have been going to Mr. Gyros for 20+ years and love Sammy and Joni. It is the only Gyro place I will eat at. However, I went today to the Lynnwood Express location and ordered my usual - Chicken Gyro with only Taziki, lettuce and cucumber and when I got home, it looked completely different than it ever has. Thinking they gave me lamb, I called them and the gentleman explained that they have changed their chicken and that the owners said that the other chicken was too expensive now. This makes me so sad. The whole reason I get their chicken gyro is because of the thin sliced chicken meat. Sadly, it just isn't the same and I probably won't get it again, which is honestly devastating because I LOVE MR. GYROS SO MUCH. Sammy & Joni - Please, Please, PLEASE consider going back to the original chicken meat....you are the ONLY Gyro place that had that kind and it really set your apart from the rest. I know your customers would be willing to pay more to have that chicken again. read more

Went to Mr. Gyro's since it was the closest late night spot to us. Got a falafel plate and a falafel sandwich. The plate was good, but a little pricey, and small portion side sauces. The sandwich was also solid in taste but the portion was severely lacking. For $15 I would have expected something more substantial but the sandwich, which is actually a gyro wrap, was very small. The sandwich was about the length of a grown man's fist. For the price I do not think it is worth it. Unfortunately unless circumstances is a factor we will not be returning. read more

Wow! Mr. Gyros has seriously gone down hill! We used to love this place and we'" were excited to see them open on 45th. We ordered $15 Mr. Gyro gyro salads that were nothing more than piles of chopped tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers... no lettuce... and some gyro meat... with a note that they are out of feta. They could have told us that when we ordered or taken it off the menu ... but we didn't find out until we got home and found the note . Seriously disappointing. Never coming back. :-( read more

Mr.Gyros provided lunch for a work function I had today. Thanks to them, lunch was great! I had never had Mr. Gyros before, but knowing how close they are to where I live, I will have to stop in to experience their whole menu. I had the lamb gyro with a side of Greek fries. Everything was delicious and the ingredients were fresh. I especially loved the soft and pillowy pita bread. Sammy was our guy today and he was so kind and awesome. I came here on a whim searching for a gyro. At first glance, the reviews looked pretty promising-until I started eating my lamb Shawarma plate and noticing how ridiculously chewy my lamb was. I am not one to critique food, especially fast food, that harshly, but I think this goes against a lot of health guidelines. first of all, I thought the lamb was going to be shaved like a traditional Shawarma meat. They had the meat heating up on a rotisserie, yet the chef chose to cook meat from a bin?? it was quite odd and very chewy lamb. A few bites and I started getting a really odd stomach ache and stopped eating my plate halfway. to add on $19 for that plate was quite ridiculous considering how low quality the food was . Mr Gyro has been one of my go to salad spots for years and it is always consistent and fast. My typical order is a gyro salad minus cucumber, no pita bread and garlic sauce. The sald is a combination of romaine and cabbage which creates a nice combo to go along with ample amounts of tomatoes, onions, feta and a handful of kalamata olives. The salad is topped off with their white sauce and a nice vinaigrette. This might be one of the best salads in Seattle!!! read more

I was looking for quick takeout in Wallingford recently and a friend suggested Mr. Gyros. I ordered on the phone and my good was ready before I even arrived. I had the falafel plate and my friend ordered the chicken shawarma plate. My plate featured several pieces of house made falafel, plus a salad, rice, and bread. It was pretty tasty, though the falafel was a bit dry and I would probably order extra sauce if I got it again. I snuck a bite of my pal's chicken and it was tender and delicious. The portions were huge! Honestly we probably could have shared one meal and been perfectly fine. I also grabbed some baklava for dessert - it was good too. After getting a pedicure next door, I met up with BF for a quick dinner. This place was pretty delicious! It was not busy for a Monday night. A lot of people in and out with to go orders. We ordered: - Lamb Shawarma Sandwich with fries and a drink $12+ - Beef/Lamb Gyro Sandwich with fries and a drink - 50 cents garlic sauce Boy was that garlic sauce garlicy and delish! I made Cody split sandwiches with me so we could have the best of both sandwiches. I actually liked the gyro more. the Shawarma was pretty saucy and messy. definitely tasty though! Well this review is a long time coming. Let me start off by saying that we have been all around the continental United States and eaten at a multitude of Gyro centered restaurants. At the start of the pandemic we relocated to Seattle and immediately felt the pull to find a delicious, social conscious/responsible and close by gyro establishment. We have at least 6 other gyro joints within a 4 mile radius... but none of them seemed to hit the right blend of flavors and presentation we had come to expect from authentic gyros. My profession at the time (social services) had me in the Wallingford area and in the middle of the lunch rush. Mr. Gyros came up on my google search.. so I parked and made my way inside. A young man was working quickly behind the counter entirely by himself. I watched as he managed to not only take several orders but interacted with customers who were waiting with both precision and professionalism. He was wearing proper face covering, swapping out gloves and effortlessly working through the rush. Even when a woman in-front of me began arguing with him about her food.. he was polite, positive and reiterated/recapped her order. This was the first interaction I noticed. But as I was in a bit of a hurry.. I didn't even check on my order until after I left. When I got to my vehicle to eat.. I opened the container. The presentation of my Gyro Salad was immaculate! That was the beginning of the end of settling for second best. Tony has been serving us these absolutely beautiful plates of food for the last year and a half. And I can't believe that I have taken this long to praise him publicly.. To the Mr. Gyros team, I want to thank you for Tony's positive attitude, attentiveness to hygiene/cleanliness/food safety and most of all.. his damn near artistic presentation of freshly prepared gyros in all forms. I recommend the Wallingford location. We again drive 20 minutes or more out of our way because Tony never disappoints! We have seen him handling multiple orders at once and still knocking it out of the park every time.. The Gyro Plate is my goto but when I need something lower carb I get the Gyro Salad! Sable recommends the Falafel sandwich with a side of Greek fries or the Chicken Shawarma Salad! Just go. And thank me later... Next time.. I'll take a picture.. but no promises. Came here for lunch and ordered the lamb shawarma plate. It's quite pricy at a cost of $16! The lamb had a strong smell but it was too firm and chewy for my liking. The salad that came along was very flavorful and a great combo with the flavorful lamb. The hummus was fantastic as well and it came with bread. Overall service was great and the food was good too. Employee was super nice and food was served very fast! The price is the only reason I wouldn't come again unless I'm near by since there's cheaper options for Mediterranean food. read more

I've been to Mr Gyros off 45th at least a half dozen times and I've never been disappointed. The food is delicious and the service is great. It's my favorite gyro spot in Seattle (that and the Ballard location). The last time I went, we ordered for pickup to take to Green Lake for a "picnic." We got the Lamb Shawarma Plate, Beef & Lamb Mr Gyro Salad, and an order of fries. As always, the Lamb Shawarma was delicious. Some of the pieces were a little chewy, but that could've been due drive from there to Green Lake. Regardless, it was very flavorful, with a very mild lamb flavor. Despite some chewy pieces, it was mostly tender. The accompanying salad was a nice refreshing flavor burst that complemented the meat. The rice is good and there's just the right amount of rice for meat (meat to rice ratio is good). And the hummus and pita are really good. The yogurt sauce is creamy and provides a nice textural element to the meat, as well as a nice herby/garlic flavor too. You get two pitas with your order and I think you could do with a little more hummus for the amount of pita that you get - but I'm not complaining. I just love the pitas that Mr Gyros uses and hummus is quite smooth. All-in-all, it's my favorite Mediterranean plate in Seattle. The Mr Gyro Greek Salad is always very good. You get a generous portion of meat and fresh vegetables, chopped into perfect bite sized pieces. It's a really refreshing and flavorful salad. The Greek fries are just generic thick-cut fries with a nice sprinkle of different seasonings and feta. But it's a nice snack. They aren't the best fries that I've had, but I always seem to over indulge. In addition to the great food the service is excellent. The staff is equally one of the reasons that I come back, with the food. The staff is always friendly and remembers me even though I don't come in so often. They're just a great group of people who provide excellent service in addition to serving great food. read more

REALLY SHOULD GET A ZERO. I HATE amd BIGGEST pet peeve of mine is business hours. Yelp states Open a 9:30p...its 9p. I drove around for 10 mins. just for a decent parking spot excited to fulfill my Gyro craving. As a business competing with 5+ similar food locations within 1mi. radius. UNACCEPTABLE! Note: I officially never tried their food and will never return. In the age of tons of options in city....you lose on the easiest part of running a business. The food is great. I frequently come here for lunch breaks. The staff is usually very friendly. Today I went into the restaurant once again to order lunch. I saw the cashier, who was wearing gloves pick something up off of the floor and then without changing gloves, take my Diet Coke out of the refrigerator and put it in my to go bag. When I pointed it out to her, she said "oh I don't touch the food" I don't think it's appropriate to give push back to the customer when they are calling out something that is a potential health code violation. It doesn't matter if you are directly touching the food or not, I also saw her stirring the meat while wearing the same pair of gloves.
