The pita was warm and soft, and the tzatziki with fresh cucumbers and tomatoes made it so refreshing. * Arabic Lamb & Beef Shawarma: My husband went for this one. It's a massive 12" toasted tortilla wrap with garlic and tahini sauce. Hearty, flavorful, and hit the spot. * Greek Fries: YOU MUST ORDER THESE. Been coming here for a long time, grabbing food either for eat in or to take to the park for a picnic. Last Saturday we stopped by to grab food for the sunset picnic. There were 3 of us customers, one ordering, 2 of us waiting to order. I ordered my meal, gave a 20% tip and sat to wait for it. 3rd person ordered, went outside to wait. The first person received their meal at a table, then received a complimentary order for fries, surprising the patron. Then person #3 returned and got their meal handed to them for take out. I waited. Finally our meal was ready, I picked it up and took it to the car. At the park, I unwrapped it and found it missing .... Chicken. There were a few pieces but not the normal chicken. I was polite waiting, never showed any impatience, was thankful and, as I said, gave a 20% tip. We are older people, the others were young. Is this ageism? I have no idea. Place is small & ambiance is minimalist but food was good. There were 4 of us so I'm glad as small as they are they had seating available to accommodate us. We came here right after a 2-mile walk in Discovery Park so we were HUNGRY. I don't eat meat and had their Buzz Mixed Vegetable Sandwich. Plus I was curious about the fries inside. It was good & unique for me. I didn't care for the fries in it so much. I do like the toasting though. I think my husband liked it more than I did. And it was huge! I think I liked his Chicken Shawarma Plate (minus the chicken) better than my sandwich. I loved the salad and the hummus in his plate. My teen daughter had the lamb & beef Shawarma plate and ended up having leftovers. Portions are big. Overall everything was great. WARNING - I don't know where they get their complimentary water from, but it's nasty and tastes worst than tap water. Maybe they do it on purpose for you to spend extra $ on their bottled water. I have been here a handful of times and every single time the food is AMAZING. The owner has shared that he gets alot of his seasonings straight from Jordan for an authentic taste to their food. Service is fast and food is always fresh. Theres plenty of seating and a parking lot to easily park and eat, or pick up and go. The owner is also really friendly and offered some falafel on our first visit there. Some of my favorite orders are the Arabic Shawarma Buzz, Shawarma Plate, Shawarma salad, falafel, and Greek fries. The food here is delicious and very well priced. We always do takeout and haven't dined in, but this shop does have a few small tables in it and is always clean when we have been in there. We were told this place was all the BUZZ from some residents of Magnolia so we gave it a try for a Tuesday dinner. We ordered the Arabic Chicken Shawarma Buzz and a side of French Fries. The first thing I noticed was how long, girthy, and heavy this shawarma wrap is!! A 12-incher (according to the menu), it's as long as my forearm and weighs enough for me to get my daily bicep workout in. For only 10.49$ (at the time of this review) you get a ton of food! The tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and pickles inside all tasted fresh and added that freshness and crunch. The chicken shawarma itself is tender and tasty, but could use more seasoning -- they are pretty big chunks of chopped chicken, so there is only a relatively small area of where seasoning was applied on the surface. The garlic and tahini sauce adds that Mediterranean flavor, but was a little too watery and dripped/leaked a lot out of the wrap. I do like how the tortilla is grilled (or panini pressed?) so that it's warm and more structurally sturdy to hold everything together inside. The French fries were SUPER crispy and well-seasoned. The workers were also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, for the quantity and quality of food you get this place is of amazing value and we'd definitely come back! read more
